LAFUFU LA FUFUUUUU Goddamn that beat hits so hard
It was great to play this rhythm game! I liked the difficulty curve. One piece of feedback: it would feel even better if the notes were more on-beat and had some 'hit sounds' for player feedback. Still a very cool game, though!
@kkritikov I wish I could have made the embedding work on the LD site 😢 Maybe next time!
@ry0 it's kind of hilarious 😂 although i really started to regret the music choice after the first few hours of hearing it 😅
@haka thank you for playing and for the helpful feedback! great points - i think doing both of those things would have really improved the overall polish
Bruh the song. Well polished. The visuals of caollecting the labubus is cool. The arrows doesn't really go with the song though. And im not sure how the connection between doing the arrows and collecting labubus of varying raritys works.
bro my game is also about labubu XD, nice work for the first jam!
Hahah nicely done, cool to see a rhythm game
That song is doing work! Hilarious take on the theme, great to see all the feedback on the lafufus and the kind of fever dream i felt like i was part of. Maybe some more arrow inputs would be fun like holding etc (unless that came later?).
thank you for this.
The first game i played from the jam, what an experience!
What is the purpose of collecting lafufu on the left side? During gameplay, I got distracted a few times by checking the items on the left, causing me to miss some combos. Additionally, I feel that the timing of the judgments doesn't quite match the rhythm of the music, which could be optimized. Snipaste_2025-10-07_14-43-13.png
My god the sound was SO LOUD x) Liking the art a lot
Can I find the song on spotify? No seriously, had a lot of fun with this entry! Great job! Also RIP to your fallen friend, I hope your dog is doing fine having this little devil in him now :P
Ok first of all:
That beat slaps!! That is very well done! I played your game for a few rounds and now its time for feedback:
- I like the progression, it goes gradually and then picks up, which made my brain adjust before chaos began :) - I felt like the arrows say "perfect" too often, that could have been a bit more tight. Maybe max 1 pixel off would perfect-worthy - I found out that you don't loose points when the arrows are missed - The arrows are not on the beat I feel, that would make the game so much more satisfying - The GUI at the top right is a bit too far away from where the eyes are focussed (bottom center), after 2 rounds I found out about it - Love the little lafufu's! I wanna collect them all!
@wouter52 thank you so much! I really appreciate the detailed feedback!
@tamino-laub hahaha yes, the song is "Labubu Reggaeton" by SXLLX on Spotify! And thank you, my dog has been happy as a clam since he destroyed the Labubu - said he'd do it again if he could 😂
@konbuscus my apologies to your ears 😂 a mute button would have been smart to add 😅
@blue-pin-studio haha that's an honor, thank you for playing!
@justuspan thank you for playing! The UI was definitely not the greatest - I wish I could have made it easier for the player to see what was happening without losing focus. The labubus just give extra points, with the more rare ones yielding more points. But it all kind of looks the same so it's hard to see in game 🙃. And you're definitely right on the arrows not matching up - I think I will fix that after the jam is over. Thanks again!
@sharky3188 thank you, and great idea!
RIP Sea Salt Coconut Labubu. The song hits hard XD
Labubu
aw i like rhythm games so much! first time seeing this genre here, and the fact that you made all of this alone(?) is impressive. would love to see more art like some other UI elements and details on the main menu
I love rhythm games and it is difficult to make one in such a small amount of time. So great work! I have a few grievances though  The music feels not really connected to what you have to click. I don't know if that is just a de-synchronization in the browser, but it felt like I was just hitting quick-time events instead of reacting to music.
wow that song is strangely very memeish, it kept me hooked enough to get to the third phase. very unique!! and eccentric, i love to see it! would like to see more juice on the arrows when they are hit. and yeah teh arrows are not on beat with the song lol
The best blursed game of ludum dare! I love rhythm games so this game was really my jam. Also the concept was super intriguing. The amount of variety with the lafufu was also something I was surprised with. Amazing job with the art! I wish it ramped up in difficulty faster because it is really hard to die in this game if you have any rhythm game experience. Overall great job!
Bumpin! I like the assets and while the song doesn't sync perfectly it has some really good moments. I was wondering for a sec if it was coded to just keep going faster into oblivion but I'm glad it didn't because I started missing a lot lol. I would of liked missing a note to only miss it rather than also deleting the next one but that's not a bad mechanic. Charming and fun!

A rhythm game let's goooo!! Screenshot 2025-10-08 133908.png
@vasilisa-isaeva thanks a lot! I made it all myself, except the song. And I totally agree with you on the UI - I had planned to polish a lot of that on Monday but ended up breaking the whole game several times instead 😂
@bumble thank you for playing! and sorry for the errors with the timing - I definitely still have a lot to learn with rhythm games 😅
@web-gnar haha yes the song has been on loop in my head since I found it on Friday... still can't tell if I love it or hate it 😂. and thanks for the feedback!
@tommeh blursed is the highest compliment I could hope to receive - thank you so much!😂 and thanks for the feedback!
@artificer thank you!! you got a great score 🔥
Congratulations Lafufu!
The music was awesome lol
LOVE it!!!
lmao 10/10 post. and that song is stuck in my head now
Hey, it's nice to see a rhythm game in LD. The song works quite well and now I'm probably never going to get rid of it from my head. Thanks.
The graphics work very well, though the player doesn't actually have time to fully appreciate the different Lafufus. The progression would be fine for me, if not for the slight de-sync, which seems to matter more in the later stages.
I couldn't make the web version fullscreen, and the UI is not fully visible as it is, so only the Windows version worked for me.
Anyway, great entry, congrats!
Btw. I enjoyed your blog post. You might say, in the process of creating your game you also became the collector, yourself! 🤭
*Disclaimer: Labubus are not my thing. I'm with the dog on the matter.*
Fun game for sure! I only wish the arrows matched with the music, maybe it's a bug but for me they didn't line up at all so I kinda had to ignore the music to be able to actually get the note timing correct.
