5/5 for mood. Was a nice pretty adventure.

5/5 for mood. Was a nice pretty adventure.
What a cool entry, on top of suiting well to the theme! I loved the variations in marine life, and all the details. Very good game!
I like how the fish reacted to your cursor, which was additionally justified by the light 'pinging' them with a brighter glow, and the mood was super enjoyable! Fine work!
really amazing project! great fit for the theme and amazing atmosphere
I couldnt figure out how to get past the part with the jelly fish, but 5/5 mood. It was really pleasant
Simply amazing. Best game this ludum dare I've seen so far. Amazing setting and fun game play. Nailed the theme.
This game is very cathartic and I could listen to the music for days. Well done!
the puzzles were clever and the story was paced very well.. the music outstanding. this game was fantastic
Perfect interpretation of the theme, and impeccable visuals and attention to detail! Also loved the way the story was revealed!
Fantastic game, i love the graphics and mood ! The fact that we can interact with almost everything is SO satisfying ! That's a 5/5 :)
@carolyn thank you for playing 🐙 If you wish to try it again and go deeper, here is a small clue: you might try to light them in a specific order!
@twowolf @curryrice @lunardiscord @kryndir @timeloopedpowergamer @patdag @poddlesli @winged-souls @herbyvor Thanks a lot 💕 This game is in many ways very different to what we previously made, so I am very happy you like it. @thekingbarry and @dodidouda really did a fantastic job on the art!
That's really, really good. Everything is well made and polished. The take on the theme is great. It's short and intense which is perfect for a game jam. I love all the little "pointless" interactions with the environment, it really makes or breaks this kind of game.
Amazing ambience and mood. Love the graphics. Very relaxing and chill. One of the best entries I have seen so far.
Wow! Nice music and ambience. The story telling is on point! I needed some time to figure out how to solve the first puzzle. maybe some hints there would be good.
Nice ending! :)
Love the variety of fish and the way they all interact with your light, it makes the game very much alive. The mood is also on point.
Awesome work, great experience! Short and sweet, I really very much enjoyed it, super moody, super pretty, super polished. Very nice interactions between the flashlight and the environment. The atmosphere is *tasty*. Keep up the good work!!
I like your work! It is polished really well and the mood is just spot-on!
I had some trouble with the jellyfish, but hey: puzzles are not supposed to be cracked right away
The music was very fitting, I was amazed about how it all sounded. Later I saw that you used royalty-free samples, I respect how great it fits
Only complaint I have: it is a bit short. But I think we can all agree that that is a compliment too
Question: what does "Selkö" stand for?
Hi @wouter52, thanks for the compliments, we're really glad you enjoyed the game ! As for selkö, ***spoiler alert about the story*** it refers to the myth of the selkie, coming from the Nordic mythology. Those are women than can turn to seals.***end of spoilers*** It is less known than mermaid, but as much fascinating :). I recommend the very good cartoon "The Song of the sea" if you want to learn more about them !
@thekingbarry thank you for your reply! I'll have a look later :-) I wish you the best of luck!
Loved every second of it! As others have said before, the amount of variety in flora and fauna is astonishing. Great submission!
It's super impressive how immersive this game manages to get in such a short time, it really feels like you're exploring the ocean floor!
A narrative-focused atmospheric LD entry with unintrusive storytelling is a rare beast. Thanks for a memorable experience!
the visuals of your game are very nice. I also enjoyed the audio, although I got a little side-tracked listening to the music and ended up muting the game because it was causing me to lose focus on game play. then, at some point, I realized that I had to turn the audio back on in order to solve some of the puzzles. This was an excellent game jam entry. i wish you the best of luck.
The music and graphics did a great job of adding atmosphere to the game, that part was really good. The only thing I will point out is that the game really lacks gameplay, the 3 times a puzzle appears, it is just trial and error one. For me the lack of gameplay detracted greatly from the experience. We all know it's difficult to develop all aspects of a game in a gamejam, so it's totaly okay, I just want to give a very direct and honest feedback because I think it helps more than just point only the positive things. Overall a well put together game, well done guys.
Great ending! xD I wonder if there are other endings, depending on which glyphs you activate in the end. Overall, it's really atmospheric and moody! I only wish there was some freedom in exploring.
I really liked the mood! Nice and simple mechanic, sweet entry! Like some comments already said some tips for stuck players (like me haha) would be a nice impovement! Congrats! o/
Nice atmospheric experience. Great usage of lighting, it blended suprisingly well with that pixel art. I would liked to see more on the gameplay side, but even just clicking everything to see what happens was entertaining enough. In that way this reminded me of some of those edutainment games I used to play as a kid! :D
Super fun! Loved the ambiance and the selkies. Really all of it. Super cute, super fun!
Wow! This is amazing! Such a nice art style!
really nice game. the ambiance is very cool
Really pretty game, the twist at the end was really fun! The puzzles took me a second to figure out but they were fun as well. I just wanted a bit more feedback on whether what I was doing was wrong, or if a thing was possible to get past.
I loved the design! Really fun and simple in a good way. Fun little story. A bit too short because I was enjoying my time so much. Good job!
@y4nnick @caiolima @nardandas You are definitely right, the game is lacking a bit on feedback or hints. Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I am glad you enjoyed it anyway! 🐠
@wouter52 @tanner-shelton Thank you so much! Really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐟
@almighty-games Thanks a lot for playing it on stream! It was really interesting to see you play. The games does need some work on sound options, hints and more visual cues to complement the audio ones. Thanks again 🦈
@luc-creationallabs @kaappis Thanks a lot for the feedback! We were indeed more focused on the mood and discovery feeling than gameplay this time. I feel like the game is mostly missing hints or logic in the puzzles, as you stated it is too much 'trial and error'. Thanks again 🐳
@civmaniac Thank you for the feedback! There are no alternate endings, that could be a great idea with more time! We decided to remove control of the character to focus the experience, but I understand that it might hinder the feeling of exploration. Thanks again 🐡
@kitty-mama it was lovely seeing you play on stream, thank you so much 💕 I am happy you enjoyed it! 🦦
@yorsh @michidk @fishmasterino @fae-exe @janetheodd @bqq @anton-savinov @dvd @nyanpierre Thanks it means a lot 💕🐋
Beautiful game, really nice combination of story and simple puzzles! Only thing I would have liked is an easier way to exit the game :)
Very fun and relaxing game. I’d love to see this idea expanded upon a bit. Would be an excellent mobile game if you added a few more things. Maybe new levels and upgrades or just a really really long version? Good job.
What a great little game!! I absolutely love the art and atmosphere, the music is so relaxing and work so well with the mood of the game. The gameplay is simple and so brilliantly design and the ending was a pleasant surprise :D I really enjoyed this! Great work!!
After 10 times trying to run a gif , I have found a link to your game. And ,You wouldn't belive me, I have passed that cracked rock with jellyfishes puthle. I like puzzles , I liked your game.
As someone who's afraid of depths, this was somehow a terrifying, but also beautiful and relaxing experience. I loved how the enviroment interacted with the light. Lovely submission, I really enjoyed it.
WOW ! Un jeu magnifique et à la fois si proche de ce que nous avons pu faire pour cette game jam ! C'est à la fois étrange et perturbant de voir autant de points communs ! 5/5 pour ce jeu, la fin est magnifique ! <3
Nice moody entry. Could be interesting to explore more of this underwater world.
Wonderful! Beautiful and relaxing game. It has a great athmospere, loved all the different fish, my favorite is the one that follows the flashlight :D. The ending was unexpected but fun. Great job!
What an ending, a really relaxing and peacefull short experience, Congrats!
I don't have any bad thing to say about it, almost as my lips had been SEALED
GET IT
(sorry)
Such a relaxing and fun game. The atmosphere, ambient music are fantastic. The art and animations are gorgeous. It sometimes wasn't clear what is clickable and I had to brute force through some puzzles, but it is just a minor issue. The light mechanic is very creative. I enjoyed every second of this game. The end is app(s)ealing.
Amazing graphics! Well done and very relaxing game :)
this is exactly the type of game I wanted to make when I read the theme! (had I had the experience of course.) Love the concept and animations, the ending is beautiful.
5/5 all categories easy.
5/5 very cool game dude. Graphics is very nice
very nice, loved it :3
Very cool game with nice graphics, sound and a cool atmosphere. Got a bit confused what to do at the end, a little bit more feedback to find out what is interactable would be appreciated. But for the rest it's a really cool little game
I loved every part of this! The peaceful music, the little details like the puffer fish blowing up, the simple calming puzzles. :) And the story too! Really great work
the simple controls really add to it!
Very relaxing game! I kept it open for a while just to keep the music going
Beautiful game with incredible art and a very curious ending haha. Congratulations!
This is very nice and peaceful underwater exploration game with a nice atmosphere.
beautiful ambience. cute how you could interact with the fish. this one fish that was following me for a while i named pete. but then he ran off :(
loved how you could interact with your enviroment in such subtle ways. I loved watching how different fish would react to my light and such. and the end was cool. so i read in a comic here, there is something special depending on the order. I imagine the name selko has to do with selkies? that makes sense given the end.
and @kp-cftsz same lol. thats what im doing rn.
This game is one of the prettiest I saw of this jam! I loved interacting with the marine life (especially those puffer fish) and I liked the puzzles. The ending was also very nice : well done!!
Amazing art in this game, the mood is great and although you don't really do much you can just enjoy everything around and play with the light. Wonderful entry!
Well that was weird ending  ...great mood and goes nicely if somewhat obviously along the theme. Diving was one of our ideas too, but we went with shrinking.
Anyway, this was very relaxing single button adventure, I loved the atmosphere with music and art :)
@ogelgames Thank you I am glad you liked it. Sorry for not having any exit button, at first I did not think about it because I was focused on the html version, and when I saw it in my todo list at the end I tried to rush it into the pause menu and the ending canvas but I couldn't do it properly and I was so scared to mess up my canvas that I finally did not put it 🐠
@link270 thank you so much for playing it on stream! It was really lovely 🐟
@link270 @majadroid Thank you! It is really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐳
@finn-tr Thank you so much! I love your games 💕
@kapa6uh haha funniest comment so far! Glad you liked the gif and the game too 🐡
@aeternall one of our design pillar was "NOT scary", so I am really really happy to know that you could play it even with your fears! Your feedback means a lot 💕
@tieffeline oui je viens enfin de jouer au votre, c'est fantastique 🤿
@rongefilet @skelleroznik I seal what you did here 👀
@mmisspelling Thank you! I really liked your game too 🦀
@skelleroznik @goldenevolution You are definitely right, the games lacks some feedback or logic to some puzzles. Glad you enjoyed it anyway!
@kp-cftsz @starvingmilk glad you like it! Here is a direct link to the audio file (also available on the itch page) [Music link](https://megamusicmonkey.com/free-music-living-underwater-song-creative-commons/) 🎶
@starvingmilk sorry Pete is a bit afraid of depth, but he had a great time too, he told us about you. Yes, the name is referencing the selkies myth, great job on finding this out 🧜♀️
@notinatal Thank you so much for playing it on stream it was really great! 🐟
@pnkvrt @brokenmatcha @madr @stin @enderswype @a-flat-miner-studios @sebirit @borabee @flying-dog-fish @saltysa @tomssuli Thank you so much 💕🐋
Very atmospheric game! I love it
Wow, what a pretty game! I love the music and the artwork. Would really like more levels, maybe in a postjam version :)
The general vibe is wonderful in this. As soon as I saw the octopus I knew I liked it, but the jelly-fish puzzle really cemented it for me. An extremely relaxing game. I think someone mentioned turning it into a mobile game. Either way I'd love to see more like this, great work!
I had a relaxing lovely time playing it. It's beautiful the art, the concept and as deeper you get into, more in love you got with the game. Thanks for this! Great job <3
Lovely relaxing game with nice puzzles. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Thanks! But why did I turn into a seal at the end!?
I relaxed so much while playing. Love the sounds and design. Thanks for the game. Props
The writing is pretty cool. I didn't understand the ending but the mistery vibe is there since the beginning so I'm into it haha
Woooow, awesome. Atmosphere is really working well, everything is just amazing
That was a nice experience. I really appreciate jam games that use a limited space but allow you to interact with almost everything, and have a few surprises. It tells a short, unusual story. I don't have a huge amount of feedback-- maybe more puzzles and more interactions would have been nice, but what was there was cool. Well done.
Impressive entry! The pixel art and sounds are perfectly matching the vibes of the game. It was so quiet and calm deep in the ocean that I almost believed I was there in person. Liked the quick puzzles and story as well. Great job!
Such a charming and wonderful experience to descend down into the water! I loved the art style, and you did an excellent job of creating a relaxing and enjoyable environment to play around with the creatures around you using both art and music. I loved watching the way creatures reacted to the flashlight even when it wasn't actually relevant to the game, and I was absolutely delighted every time I ran into a new creature I hadn't seen before - sometimes it's the simple things like allowing players to interact with creatures like this that really makes a game! There were some similar design decisions in the game my team ended up making, and it's really fascinating to see the ways you handled some of the same concepts - I was a big fan of the way your parallax background showed up, and the way coral reefs would go in and out on on both sides of the map. It was a cozy and comfortable descent!
The puzzles were easy, but satisfying to complete - you did a good job of making them well solvable without needing any explanation, which is definitely a boon to game design - it shows how clearly your environment shows what needs to be done to progress!
The final section of the game was positively beautiful, and who *doesn't* want to be a seal? The ideal ending to any game, in my opinion.
Overall, excellent atmosphere, and a very enjoyable, calming descent into the ocean! Great game jam, team! ☆☆☆☆☆
Super cute game with a very beautiful art, with a pleasant and calming music, unfortunately it has little content, I would like to play more :)
Great art and calming music. Would love to see this as a full game!
This is an awesome and chill take on the theme. The art and music really set the mood. It has my seal of approval!
OOO mama the atmosphere is absolutely captivating! You guys nailed the visuals and the music, and the gameplay is simple and elegant. That ending really came out of left field though, and I'm sure it'll have me pondering existence for the next week or so. Great work!
got stuck on the crystal puzzle
This game made me think about my life choices.
Beautiful art! Chill gameplay, weird ending. Don't know what more I could ask for :)
very nice art and sound effects, just the end it was wwa lit bit weird
Found this through Doot and Dodidouda's comments on Aby's Life, both brilliant games! The ending was hilarious! C'était un phoque non!? Oh wait, are there alternative endings too!? Depending on the order of the activation!?
This is good. Thanks for making such a strong experience.
Nice relaxing game. The ambiance and art were fantastic and I wish there was more. Didnt know that is how seals were made lol. Great job.
@wekri @microchasm @bogard @8ken Thank you! It is really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐳
@ladycerberus Thank you, I loved your game 🍟 (no churros emoji sorry)
@autogibbon @mauriciomunky @sirred Thank you! The story and ending are based on an interpretation of the selkie myth. @thekingbarry was the one who came up with this great idea!
@briibot Thank you thank you thank you your comment is so heartwarming. You are a wonderful person for taking the time to write all of this 💕
@msipp27 If you want to try it again, try to charge the runes 😉 (and maybe play with sound on if you can, it might help a bit)
@euske I hope you mean that in a good way haha
@lemmy Oui c'était un phoque! L'histoire et la fin sont basés sur une interprétation du mythe des selkies, proposée par @thekingbarry! Sadly no, there are no alternate endings, because you know, 3 days!
@flopo @threeli @craplex @ariorick @villanelle @styrofoamwaffle @quite-good @felo07 @ar-borno Thank you so much everyone, I'll try all your games if I haven't already! 💕🐋
Wonderful game!! Great artstyle, music and the game is very nice in general!
Cool and atmospheric gam, art are simple but great ! Wish it was a bit longer tho. Great job !
Love the art and atmosphere. If you ever need some original music/sound let me know!
ohhh wow this game is soo moody and cute, I love how the fish react when you boop them with the light :D It is incredible how deep the game feels even though it has rather simple mechanics!
Absolutely stunning and well done! Congrats on such a beautiful game :)
What a relaxing dive under the waves. Would like more, but at the same time, that might ruin the perfect little mood it has.
I really liked the interactive environment, the puffer fish especially.
Awesome! This is a great little meditative deep dive. I love the art style and music. It's fun just interacting with the sea life. The puzzles were simple but enjoyable.
Great job on it.
My 4 year old son is a fan of Jacques-Yves Cousteau tv show, loves everything about divers so we coudn't pass by)
Had some problems with jelly fish, but solved this puzzle and reached the end of the game. I love the art (usually I don't like pixel art but this is a wonderful exception), music and the atmosphere of this deep dive. Great job!
Beautiful art, I loved the story and how it unfolds, you know that you have a rough diamond that if it is well crafted can yield you the most beautiful jewel you can imagine? and following this evolution, a big hug to everyone, and I await your evaluations regarding my game.
I really enjoied it. Really good work. You know how to made it simple and keep a great whole experience!
Loved it. you opted out from audio but you picked great, atmosphere is really great
Very nice game, I enjoyed it throughout! Made me almost forget I was in front of my computer :)
I thought my light effect was cool before I saw yours ... ^^' it is so great and look so smooth ! And the whole game is awesome and beautiful !! :D I have nothing else to say than Bravo !!
Great adventure! The story was intriguing and the music really set the mood. I personally would have enjoyed more gameplay to it, but it was relaxing and pleasant to play. Nice job!
People pay me to make pixel art and I felt like a student artist watching this game. I love the ending.
My VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1004793106?t=00h52m14s
Really relaxing experience! And that ending was interesting
I've never seen before that flashlight mechanics like this, very interesting  In the end of the game I was like: "heeeey, that's why game called Selkö! Selkies is mythologic seal creatures from animation movie "song of the sea!" Thanks a lot for that cool game, very beautiful
Awesome game! Lovely graphics, cool implementation of the simple interaction. Sweet puzzles. :tropical_fish:
Very pleasant and mellow experience! I like the puzzle mechanics, and the sense of discovery, as moving deeper and deeper introduced new wildlife and sparked curiosity! Great job!
Fun environment and puzzle design. Short little ride. Also, the ending was delightfully surprising.
I loved everything about this! The sound design was amazing, and the overall mood was 5/5! I'm wondering if there were different endings!
Hey matey, thanks for submitting your game to stream! I had fun playing it, and I hope you found the feedback useful! Here's the vod if ya wanna rewatch it;
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1006003249
The graphics were really pretty, the music is quite relaxing and I enjoyed the puzzles. Well done.
Fun and short adventure, I liked the mood and the puzzle game side. Nice work ! :)
Really relaxing and atmospheric game with some simple puzzle elements that don't break the flow of the game.
well, that was weird. great job.
It was interesting playing the game and changing your mental model of the game over time. You have no idea what to expect going into it. After the first fish interaction, I pretty much just clicked on everything and hoped it did something.
Then I got to the ordering puzzle and then I was like oh OK.....this is a real puzzle game. And so on. Basically every puzzle sort of surprised me because it was a different thing from before.
The ending TOTALLY caught me off guard and had no idea what was going on. I did read the comments later and now understand. Definitely not something I've seen in a game, much less even heard of. Nice little educational game :)
Great experience! Loved the whole vibe and mood you are going for. Great entry!
Awesome game. I like atmosphere and sound. And yes, very surprising end))
@panzershrek Thank you! It is really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐳
@natalia-dushkina This is so heartwarming. I am glad you finally found the solution for the jellyfish puzzle, it's not the most well designed one! I hope your son is well and will keep having such great taste 🤿
@thejookerful Thank you! It's funny how close our games are! Before choosing the puzzles, we also had the idea of taking pictures of fish and animals! I think you did a wonderful job designing it 🐠
@josephdevelops That is a very high praise coming from you! Thank you so much for playing it on stream your reactions were lovely 🐡
@niklas-zhaga Thank you! Not a lot of people know of this, I am glad you understood it!
@koalaura Thank you! Different endings would have been a wonderful idea given more time!
@justcamh Thank you so much for playing it on stream and the feedback! You found all the puzzles pretty quickly 🐟
@peachtreeoath Thank you for the feedback! I am really happy to hear that you liked the diversity, it was an improvement I really wanted to make over my previous games.
@videt @wobs @xeke-death @arancutter @etrealjunior @superfishboy @cem-adiloglu @antbrl @mharring @wolderado @maaxoom @ismael-rodriguez @taikinaaa @danmedeiros @youhou @chrissx2 @gregfagan @koningmathijs @ben-yazi Thank you so much for all your love 💕🐳
A wonderful experience, the atmosphere is just so well done, with the music and the light being the main gameplay feature. A great little mystery puzzle game!
Enjoyed my experience a lot! The game has very special atmosphere: you truly feel alone in a never ending mysterious ocean! The visuals are stunning! The ending made the game even more mystifying! The whale part made me fear for my life :D Puzzle with the jellyfish took me some time to figure out though
Great game! Mood is on point. Very relaxing and keeps interest on what's further down. Graphics and audio are very good. Thanks for the game, it's fun to play.
Very cool game! Calm and relaxing. I enjoyed the art, very polished. The music was quite pleasant to listen to, didn't tire out at all. The minigames were simple, but fun to play and fair. I only wish the first minigame would give an indicator that it is a minigame after a short while (or maybe I'm just bad at noticing it). I liked the ending, I hope that was what the main character wanted. I recommend this game to everyone looking for a short, calm and relaxing experience!
Here's my playthrough: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1007430228?t=2h30m46s
Very nice, I really liked the atmosphere you built with the choice of colors, lighting, sounds and music, very well done.
@josephdevelops what a heartwarming comment ❤️ This is actually my first time trying pixel art (or some sort of pixel art), I don't know anything about it except it's a precise and complicated art I have yet to learn and master! Very happy that someone who does pixel art for a living enjoys the visuals of the game! Makes me want to try it more and actually learn the proper way to do it. Also props to @thekingbarry who worked on the graphics with me 🙂
Very nice art ! It's an intense and very immersive experience ! The background music fit well with the game. The player has really the feeling to explore the deep sea. Animations are very nice also.
Great mystery puzzle game
Really atmospheric and nice game/interactive story! I really liked the graphics, Overall just a fun and nice entry! :D
This is an absolutely stunning and charming game. It was done swimmingly well, I definingly didn't sea that ending coming. It really lit up my day. And the music just sealed the whole game up into one neat little package. Best ludum dare game I've played so far.
I enjoyed this very much. The music was relaxing and the ocean setting with all of its creatures served to make this a very relaxing interactive experience.
That was a chill & relaxing experience. Really good graphics & mood. I loved how all of the different fishes had different behaviors (pufferfish blowing up, some fishes being attired by the light, others fleeing it, etc...), which added a reason to interact with the environment as you would wonder between the 'puzzles' phases. It made the ocean feel truly alive.
I knew about the Ancient Astronauts theory, but that was first time I heard about the Sea Lions' Ancien Divers Theory. It definitely made me laugh when i saw the ruins at the end.
Here's some small nitpicks i could find : - The "Dive" being a button on the title screen isn't obvious as I was clicking randomly on the screen at first. It would benefit from having a small animation while hovering it or something to indicate we can interact with it. - Lacks an indication that we can left click to make the light flash for a second. I know the fishes blocking at the beginning are there to teach that, but first reflex is to point the light at them as you've got no way of knowing left click has an effect. - The whale's sound saturates a bit.
This was so cute!! Loved the art! Loved the mechanics! Really nice work with the lighting. Great job guys!
You opt out of the audio category, but still, nice work with finding and using the sounds properly. They add a ton.
Good job guys!
Really interesting idea to simply control a flashlight and nothing else, wish there had been a few more puzzles to explore the idea further. Didn't see the part with the whale coming, that was pretty funny :)
very atmospheric and nice looking game. fit the themes really good. A hint would be sometimes useful but it is still totally great ( i didnt knew first what to do with the lamp and the jellyfish).
Lol at the ending :) This was a very atmospheric experience. The music/soundscape is top notch. Combined with the graphics it is really enjoyable. Kudos on making a short, playable (as in not too difficult) experience. Good job.
@juliestrator Thanks a lot! Seeing you play on stream was lovely 💕
@tommytheitguy Thank you so much and thank you for linking the replay! I agree with you, the game does need a little more indication, hints or feedback on puzzles, mostly the first one! The story is based on the Selkie myth, women turning into seals.
@xpoho thank you for the poetic writing! I am glad you enjoyed the story.
@henanboy Thank you, your comment and others make us swim in joy 🐡
@vladadamm Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! We absolutely agree on all your comments, and those were all on our list, but the priorities we decided meant they didn't make the cut! Too bad, maybe they could have been easy quick wins. For the whale sound, it seems to be a Google Chrome issue, I am glad at least it only seems to do that with this particular sound!
@zathnic Thanks a lot! We are not very good at designing puzzles yet, maybe once it becomes easier for us we will be able to make an experience with a bit more 🐟
@neowhoru Thank you! I agree the game does need a bit more hints or feedback. It's very hard to keep those subtle enough to not ruin the experience, we are very new yet to puzzle design and that is definitely an area of improvement!
@fargred @geo3d @mlho7 @duck-reaction @korfi @recursor @doctortm @attala Thank you so much it means a lot 💕🐋
Ok, seems I was waiting for that (the ending) to happen. The question - why? It's in my mind now, developing. Which's good. The dive was fun. Got stuck with final puzzle for a while, but then the sfx made me hold it for longer, got it. Very nice design and some logics, thanks for the experience!
Wow, fantastic game. Aesthetically beautiful and really atmospheric, pity it was so short :( the puzzles were slightly too easy, but maybe that was the goal. The game was a pleasure to experience.
Short and sweet! Pretty well implemented (would only ad some movement on the diver ragdoll to match all the movement around them), great mood, and an unexpected twist at the end! Would love a few more puzzles, but time constrains for sure. Also, there's no rating for sound, it's all from sound banks? It works really well, but surely would be better with it's own sounds, it surely deserves it!
Je me permet de vous faire un petit commentaire en français ;) Vraiment le jeu est incroyablement beau ! J'ai été surpris par la baleine x) Les énigmes sont vraiment chouettes et l'ambiance est vraiment bien réussie ! Je me suis bien amusé !
Ps : J'adore la fin ^^
I allow myself to give you a little comment in French;) Really the game is incredibly beautiful! I was surprised by the whale x) The puzzles are really cool and the atmosphere is really successful! I had fun !
Ps: I love the end ^^
Brilliant game, very simple, meditative experience. It felt very complete with a few different small puzzles, and the amount of pretty artwork was really impressive. Really enjoyed this one, thanks!
The game is very nice ! The game is polish. The concept is interesting. The story too. Puzzle are cool. It's poetic. And the game end with humor... good job...
A unique and meditative experience. And a nice way to approach a well-known legend. Both graphics and music feel pleasant and soft. And sfx are nicely made as well.
I really liked how different things reacted to light - the mushrooms, the puff fish, the surprise whale. It shows how much you can do with one well thought through mechanics.
Gameplay is simple but fells polished.
Awesome game! It just SO rare tha such a simple game can bring this wonderful experience, the music definitely fits the mood and I just love it throughout the whole game. I really hope this can go a bit longer, but I think the time limit just really hard for this project. Regardless, I was thoroughly enjoy the game and the ending was defintely a nice surprise.
Amazingly polished game! Great work all round
Very nice atmosphere, easy to understand controls, and very relaxing. I wish there had been a couple more puzzles, but understand the time constraint. Very nice work!
Great music and atmosphere with fun little puzzles. A very relaxing experience and satisfying conclusion. The puzzles could have been more difficult but overall very nice.
Really nice games. I really liked the eye and the ending. Well done!
Cool little game. Very nice graphics and nice music. It's polished and it's fun, albeit very simple and short (I would love it to be much larger and complex). Congrats for submitting!
Nice story. Nice balance of narrative and mini games.
The peaceful mood is so amazing, loved it!
Nice game, I really liked the atmosphere.
This was a great little puzzle click game, very atmospheric and I really liked it. Very well executed.
Very nice atmospheric game! My ocean loving boys (4 and 6) really loved it and said I should give you lots of stars ;)
Nice game! The mood was really chill and cool! I would like some more difficult puzzle but anyway, great job! :)
Really chill mood and interesting end! I like the light mechanics and the different interactions available with the fish, there's some interesting puzzles but I'd love to see a bit more to the light mechanics. Fantastic looking game congrats! <3
That was very calming and enjoyable. Good job!
Fantastic entry, I really liked this one, the art was really cute and the audio was great. I loved all the little interactions with the fish, like them following the light or the puffer fish puffing up when you shone it on them. This game has a lot of character, you all did a great job! (Loved the ending too!)
@ardorugus Thank you! Happy that the ending made you think.
@luketobin Thank you! We are not very experienced in puzzle design yet, and we wanted to focus the game on the mood, that's why we made them simple enough. Really happy to know you would have liked it longer 🐟
@waltsontanaka Thanks a lot! More animation or movement on the diver would indeed be great. Sound were indeed from sound banks, you can find links on the itch page if you like them!
@lorwon Merci beaucoup! Trop content que la baleine t'ai surpris, c'était une de nos premières idées et c'était pas évident de trouver la bonne mise en scène!
@fabula-rasa Thank you! Happy that you recognized the legend, not a lot of people do 🦦
@zlan100 @noteworthy Thank you so much your comments are really nice 🐳
@nsadie Thank you! So happy to know that your boys liked it!
@manan @zaibakk Thank you! We are not very experienced in puzzle design yet, and we wanted to focus the game on the mood, that's why we made them simple enough. It's quite hard to do interesting puzzle that do not become frustrating for some players. Maybe one day with more experience!
@pat-cleaver @florianduf @skiddings @cameron-paxton @hypp @jose-bonilla @ivan-nosov @spatia @thegamerasd @deadmanjw @chrisap @kleinzach Thank you so much 💕🐋
A very smart game mechanic with excellent ambience! I wish it could be longer, but the ending was unexpected and fits the mood of the game. I can see this playing well on a tablet or phone since the light mechanic could be explore more. Also, many options for puzzles, even discovering puzzles from other civilizations.
I liked the art, the music, the gameplay and how the game fits the theme. And I loved the mysterious atmosphere of the game, it fit with the ending. Congratulations to the developers.
Great graphics, music and puzzles. That end... xD The game fits perfectly with the theme. Great job!!!
Ending was unexpected, ha-ha! Graphic and mood are really good. I like it.
