I don't know exactly what to say without looking cheesy but it's a really strong game. It makes you think about the daily loop we put ourselves in... The execution is excellent, juicy, good aesthetics, good sound effects. Well done!
Wow voice acting and all that in 48 hours! i'm impressed. Super cool game, well done!
Unfortunately it took us so long to learn our worth. Super impacting game, the art is beautiful the sounds, the message, everything was very polished and well done. Awesome entry. By the way I looked at your other games and ... your talent is just mind-blowing. You guys got another fan :)
Super polished game, well done!
Haha I think we had the same idea :), cool game, well done!
My god, the sound design of this game was simply AMAZING, I never thought a pixel art 2d game would scare me, but those screams prove me wrong :). Very good entry! The decision not to show the number of bullets was good, this increases the feeling of insecurity in the player and contributes to the aesthetics of terror that you chose. The only thing I would improve is the player's movement, he seems to slide on the ground and gain momentum as if he were walking on ice, and not allowing any kind of control in the air is a bit harsh haha. Overall super fun game, well done!
This is super cool! It's crazy how addictive these clicker games can be, at least for me ... Cool game, very well.
Easy mode is not working, I think I need it haha :)
I will return later, this was very good! I came this far. :) trueSCore.png
Wow man, the production value is incredible. Impressive how much you managed to do in just 48 hours, very good! I just didn't understand much about the gameplay, I don't know how to defeat the enemies. Good game.
This is a very interesting and creative take on the theme, I liked the game but it was a little frustrating.
Thanks for the feedback @thevideogamester, the thing with the green circle is that you must enter the circles the number of times indicated in the center of it, if you reach the final loop and leave some behind, the level restart.
Wow @jacob-bernard thank you very much for the words, it means a lot. I agree with you about more platforms ... I will probably do a few more levels just for fun in the next week, then I'll add a few more :). I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
@jonathanfdr thank you for the feedback and the kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed. :)
@manspider I'm glad you like it :) Thanks
@wearedev oh man, what a newbie mistake! Thanks for the valuable feedback!
@wongkongphooey this is exactly my plan, MUAHAHA :) Glad you 'liked it'
@feh Obrigado! :)
@feh Sim haha. A propósito, o jogo de vocês ficou incrível, que art f***!
@magnusfurcifer Thank you very much for your comment, I'm glad you liked the game. This jam was definitely a very positive surprise to me. I'm probably going to create a few more levels for fun in the future, I'll let you know if something new comes out :)
@ded this is totally a feature, it's a secret easter egg that I added. :) Thanks for testing the game.
@malashik Oh, thank you! Right, I was thinking about a Tibetan Singing Bowl when I chose the sound of the loop :). Thanks for testing the game and for the feedback.
@beats Thank you! Yes it was on purpose, I left it like this trying to get an "aha moment" when the player finds out that he doesn't even need to leave the loop to complete reentries in these cases, I don't know if it worked. "aha moments" are hard to craft :) Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)
Hey @angela-he. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! The concept was born out of pure pressure, short time and anxiety haha, the more limitations the more room for creativity to appear :). Thanks for playing it and for the feedback. ... And I have to say, the message that your game brings is great, thanks for doing it and for addressing so many important topics in your other games too, totally awesome things.
Hey @duke , thank you very much for your feedback. I'm thinking of creating a full version of the game with more mechanics and more levels, your music suggestion was very welcome, I think that spacey synth track would really match the game.
@kuviman I'm glad you had fun with the game. I am creating more levels (it will probably be ready in 2 or 3 days) for the android version and after finishing the Ludum Dare voting period I will update the web version as well.
Hey @satolas! I would love to launch on IOS, but the problem is that macs are VERY expensive in my country (the cheapest model costs 8 times the minimum wage), I would have to work 6 months and not spend anything to be able to buy one. So at the moment, it's a little bit complicated. :)
Damn boy! stop flexing those art skills :) I wish I had this much talent, and all of that in just 48 hours! man, I'm impressed. At the beginning I had problems with the mechanics, I kept clicking and the character dropped without stopping ... (you know, that little problem of not reading the instructions ...), after reading, everything became clear. Simple and interesting gameplay, it fits very well with the universe you created. Excellent submission.
Very interesting atmosphere, good gameplay too. It took forever to get the jump on the wall. Cool project, well done.
This is so beautiful. Thanks.
Wow, this is clever, super well done, nice aesthetics, very juicy. The only problem is that it's TOO EASY. TooEasy.png
I loved the concept! A fresh take on the theme. Well done!
Wow, that was very well done, the level of 'completeness' is huge and the amount of gameplay that you have extracted from this simple dynamic is really impressive. I mean, everybody knows that if you implement an update system you will have more replayability right away, you also have a high risk of creating a very boring experience where the player doesn’t even want to grind because the whole thing seems empty and unattractive, BUT you implemented everything in a very balanced way, I really commend you for that, it was a very rounded game in all aspects, the music was very good, the graphics and the mechanics too. This game would probably achieve a very high position in the ranking, totally deserved. #### and now here is my braging rights picture  #### 3.png
I think I'm missing something here, even pressing A,D in the right tempo I keep losing oxygen, never pass 70 meters.
I liked the graphics and the music. It would be nice if the gameplay had more choices to be made or some layer of strategy, because just trying and error is not very compelling.
Wow, deck builder + idle, you are messing with heavy stuff here, this combination is possibly more addictive than crack. I'll play more of this later, I like what I saw, cool submission :)
This is a really moody and cool game. Nice to see how you repurpose the trail, I love to lasso the white particles and pull them towards the character, it's so satisfying. I enjoyed it a lot the experience, well done!
This is a truly unique game, super interesting and refreshing way to interpret the theme. WELL DONE guys.
Nice submission. The most important thing for this type of game is the physics and you did very well, it's not floaty, there's a right amount of feedback in every action. The only thing I'll point is that it would be cool to have other ways or mechanics to progress so you can have more interesting decisions being made throw the game, but hey, for 48h this is really cool. Well done!
You guys nailed the graphics, sound and mood, the amount of polish in these 3 aspects is incredible. The gameplay needs some work, I am surprised at how much some badly placed colliders can damage a game and this is the case here, the colliders break the atmosphere by a lot. Another thing that I will point out is that the mechanics used in the puzzles are interesting and have a large design space to be explored, but by its nature, the 'points' will always be apart of each other by a kinda great distance and having a character walking seams to be not ideal, things become very slow for the player, especially since the puzzles are simple and the player solves them quickly in his head, but then they have to walk for the next 60 seconds just connecting the points, so in a way having a character seems more like a barrier for the player and the gameplay. I would love to see a full version of this.
Dude! Very impressive, I'll love to see a time-lapse of the whole process of creating this.
Very moody, beautiful clean graphics.
Oh i think we kinda did the same overal concept with this theme. It's a really nice game, I realy enjoy the music and the puzzles.
Astonishing art, so cute :)
Honestly, give the voice actor a raise haha, having a voice actor in the project is so OP, this is a fantastic work, great art, sound, music, mood, but I think it lacks in the gameplay aspect, the mechanic's seams to be a second thought almost, there's no progression, no interesting decisions to be made, and because the other aspects of the game are so well developed, the gameplay seams that exist only to show the other parts and it feels weird to me. Overall it's a very nice project and I like it a lot. If the mechanics have received more attention it would be a 10.
The music and graphics did a great job of adding atmosphere to the game, that part was really good. The only thing I will point out is that the game really lacks gameplay, the 3 times a puzzle appears, it is just trial and error one. For me the lack of gameplay detracted greatly from the experience. We all know it's difficult to develop all aspects of a game in a gamejam, so it's totaly okay, I just want to give a very direct and honest feedback because I think it helps more than just point only the positive things. Overall a well put together game, well done guys.
Hey @artonix, totally agree, this is a huge mistake on my part, orthographic and WASD dont go well thogether. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks @tim77, I appreciate your feedback, I'm glad you liked the game, and yes definitely mouse would be better for this orthographic view, this slips through my playtest :)
Thanks @theseusinabottle, I'm glad you liked the game. #*#*! running out of steps on the last floor is bad, sorry for that haha, I wish I have more time to fix these edge cases, the problem was that it takes me too much time to glue the gameplay together and at some point, I had to choose between having sounds in the game or fix this edge cases and I picked the sounds. I was too ambitious with the scope of this game but hey, lesson learned haha :) Thanks for stopping by and write the feedback.
Hey @pookipoot, thanks for stopping by and giving me feedback, I'm glad you liked the game!
Hey @pseudohausen thanks for the feedback, yes totally agree with you, the input thing really slips through my playtest, I think your ideas of something on the screen just pointing the directions would kinda fix the problem after the voting process ends I'll probably implement that.
Hey @kroltan thanks for testing the game and giving your feedback, I'm glad you liked the game, and yes using the mouse probably would be a better idea, I even had a system in the game that I end up not using ready to do that, the fix is right in front of me but I let that pass
Thanks @zykra! I'm glad you liked it
Hey @vitor-figueredo I'm glad you liked it. After finishing the game I'm working on, I will probably consider continuing the development of this one, the concept seems very interesting to me.
Thanks @rouge-dragon I'm glad you liked it
Thanks @greg-the-egg, yes the movement definitely needs some fix  , thanks for stopping by and testing the game.
@zimny11 yes I did, I'll not say that the core would be super different but during testing I definitely changed my initial assumption a couple of times. For example, my initial intention was to create a game very focused on Humor, that's why I choose recover dentures as a goal, but I didnt have the time to create all the 'funny' assets I was thinking of, the main mechanic would be throw cheese to outwit the enemies (they are Rats btw ), this mechanic end up not even being implemented because the core I have at some point was enough for the game, another little thing that I changed was the shoe mechanic, initially the shoe would be a thing to give the player more steps, but playtesting I realized that the item was not compelling enough and it doesn't make much sense since the objective of the player is to go down and having a more steps would not be helpful enough to justify its existance (I think if the other itens are more powerfull I'll probaby coul'd keep the shoe like that), then I changed the shoe to give an instant move to the next floor and it feels much better, just feels right... These are a couple of examples of what I meant, I was tweaking the gameplay up to 2 hours remaining for the deadline, the last hours was totally chaotic but I think the game turns out quite nice :)
Okay, I spent some time trying to trick the sentiment analysis part, which would normally be quite easy, but without success, I got tired and took a look at the code, I realized my mistakes, you are expecting words that rhyme too and I was caring just about the sentiment of the used words, after that things become very easy haha. Very refreshing submission, +1 cool points.
This is super nice, awesome how a simple grid can give so much exploration feelings, I really like the concept but I think some decisions in the execution hurt the game, the Explore Button is the most important thing in this game and is almost hidden from the player, and the popups stopping the gameplay and have to be clicked to leave the screen is very annoying. The concept is really interesting though, well done!
I liked the aesthetics and sound, BUT the gameplay is problematic because it is unbalanced, I guess the intention behind this mechanic where to put the player in a position of choosing a direction with the smallest number as fast as possible, but the problem is that just smashing the space key as fast as possible in whatever direction is more effective, and this destroys the premise of the mechanic. Still a nice game and until I find out that just smashing space in whatever direction is more effective I have fun this it.
I like the uniqueness of it, I'm thinking of doing a game based just on sounds for quite some time, so it's always cool to see others' ideas. I like the quality of the sounds, everything is so clear and well done but the gameplay is not my cup of tea, too slow for me, overall really nice game.
Link is broken bro
I find this type of game really interesting because the simplicity of it doesn't detract anything from the game, this kind of mechanics put me in a hypnotic/flow state so fast, it's quite amazing. Really cool game, well done.
Very charming game and agonizing mechanic haha, being forever pursued feel horrible, but I guess this is the intent here, so, well done, I like it :)
Super satisfying to play. Very cool game.
Very cursed, but a very refreshing take on the theme. When I saw the jam theme, I was afraid that every game would turn into mining games or Downwell clones, you aimed at something much more unique and this is super cool.
I liked the game in general. The art is beautiful, the sounds are adequate and the atmosphere when entering the cave is interesting. The problem for me is that mechanically it does not evolve, and as there is no mechanically progression in the player's actions the game ends up becoming a 'task handler', the player already knows how to solve everything, he just has to go and do it. Still, the ending is interesting.
Are you mining bitcoins on my pc? haha Unfortunately is unplayable with Firefox
@the-neon-shark no problem. i5 4670k with a GTX 960
Very well done puzzle game. The puzzle design is really on point, the graphics and sound are also great, but honestly, with this quality of puzzle design and balanced progression, you wouldn't even need graphics. Tip of the hat for you guys. Well done
Nicely designed puzzle, creative use of the theme. I had fun playing it, well done, great submission.
Wonderful art. Congrats on the submission.
Definitely a unique idea. Good game, I tried for quite a while, but I couldn't win, if winning is even possible.
Great submission, the music is sensational. I'm really bad at this type of game so I couldn't make it to the end, but I enjoyed it anyway. Very challenging and neatly packed. I'd say the pacing of new elements being introduced to the player is spot on.
@koolruz Hey, thanks for playing, the highlight on the ground shows the path that the cards in your hand can take you, the lighter highlight shows the card that the mouse is over, and the darker highlight shows the path of all the other cards, I decided to do it to try to help the player visualize the paths, without any highlights it was a little too difficult for my taste, but apparently you didn't even need to use it :), a little QoL never hurts
Surprisingly addictive for such a simple game. Really pretty too, congratulations on the submission, well done.
Just a reminder that in Chrome: Ctrl + W : Close the tab Ctrl + S : Save the page Ctrl + D : Add to favorites Ctrl + A : Select all text in the page So is safe to say that use this controls in a WebGL game is not a good idea :) Besides that, it's cool to see a FPS game in the jam; few venture into making those. I really liked the music. The game could use a bit more feedback when you damage the monsters and execute attacks. Congrats on the submission.
Really cool concept, it's amazing to have a game with this scope in a game jam. Wave 6 has a steep difficulty curve; I've tried several times but just couldn't beat it. Congratulations on the game, awesome submission.
I have to say that walking isn't really all that interesting, maybe there could be a bit less walking. The music is very pleasant and does create a good mood. The story, although short, is interesting. I was expecting a more dramatic ending with a discovery or a twist of some sort. Overall, good submission.
Very unique and interesting game, well done!
I'm probably too dumb to grasp what's going on in the gameplay, so I don't have any feedback on that. However, I really like the graphics - the colors and animations are spot-on. The music is also quite enjoyable. Well done.
Error: If you're seeing this error, it means I can't find your index.html file. Unfortunately I couldn't play it, I really wanted to, just from the cover art, it looks really beautiful.
This is a great game, loved the graphics, the colors, and especially the mechanics. It reminded me of Triple Town playing it, or Suika, awesome submission, well done.
I was a bit lost about what to do initially. The first time I entered the cave, I didn't realize that I had to protect that central area with hearts, so I died. After the game over, the scene reloaded but nothing else happened, no enemies appeared anymore. About the character movement one tip I can give is to use some physical material on the walls so that they don't slow down the character, which would make movement within the cave much smoother. I don't think it's against the rules to fix bugs, I'm curious to see the rest of the game. Congratulations on the submission, guys.
Loved the art
The charm of 1bit will never get old, it's really great. I liked the mechanics, the only criticism I would have is that the map could be a little smaller. There are so many games to play and give feedback in the jam, that it is not possible to spend so much time on just one. I ended up dying twice in the boss, and having to go through the entire map again to see the ending was a little disheartening. Other than that, great game, I think you'll score well in the jam. Well done, guys.
Your game is in my top games from this jam so far. My only critique is about the balancing - after purchasing just a few mana regen and max mp upgrades, you can simply summon whatever creature and victory is guaranteed. This makes the presence of various creatures useless since you can win using just one in any situation. I understand asking for perfect balanced gameplay for a game jam game is a bit much, but it's the only thing I could point out as a critique. Also the tutorial, this is by far the best tutorial in the games I played - a perfect balance between presenting the information and speed, without sacrificing comprehension. I know many full-release Steam games that don't have a tutorial this good. Well done.
