NICE 3D GRAPHICS!!!!! loved the idea great game!

coderaurus 2020-10-05 09:50

There's something about those voice lines. Added into the mix, they create this flavor of humor to me. The tunes are chill and work well with the game.

Stealing spells was confusing first, not knowing where or what to click (Starting screen guides you to use left mouse, although I figured it might be a inaccurate). Eventually got it to work and it was satisfying. Time warp remains a mystery to me, it has only gotten me killed, haha...

thedarkmagi 2020-10-05 13:41

visuals are great, I had a lot of fun playing once I'd worked out the it was right click to steal spells not left like the instructions say.

As it's compo I believe you're required to include your source code so you might want to add that

luc-creationallabs 2020-10-05 15:54

Wow man, the production value is incredible. Impressive how much you managed to do in just 48 hours, very good! I just didn't understand much about the gameplay, I don't know how to defeat the enemies. Good game.

kevin-meissner 2020-10-05 17:26

Nice graphics, but I did not understand how to play that game at all.^^ I clicked right and left and spacebar, but nothing happened. It just says I run out of time, but I had now clue why sorry.

sku11knight 2020-10-05 22:43

great game. Visuals are rad, the gameplay is super cool. really dug it.

My only hitch with this is that I didn't feel like it addressed the theme of the jam as well as other titles.

Thanks for the game though!

ryan-hallmann 2020-10-05 22:53

The game has a nice cyber/fantasy feel. I was pretty confused why the rewind was targeted until I realized that you can rewind enemies.

michael-feldman 2020-10-06 02:57

The graphics are what pulled me in to give this a play. Great character design I must say  Each time I played it, I experimented a little more and more with the rewind mechanic, and found all kinds of cool uses for it. There's something so so gratifying about pulling an enemy back in time right into an AoE zone. Also big programming kudos for writing a Mesh Generator script. That's tedious stuff! All in all, very cool how the pieces came together on this one. Cheers!

_Update: mages killed: 25_

tomeks 2020-10-06 11:14

This is cool, feels very nice, on my 13inch mac, the play button is not visible until i zoom to 80% (in case you will be doing update move it up a bit maybe :D). I like the art, and the ground material is trippy. Solid entry <3

daitli 2020-10-07 19:58

@coderaurus Thanks for pointing that out! I changed the icon on the main menu to the left mouse click. @thedarkmagi I had forgotten about the source code! I have added it on my itch page. @luc-creationallabs @luc-creationallabs You steal spells with left mouse click on warlocks and use them with space, the cube thats constantly rotating will stop on the spell you currently have stolen. There is no time limit. @tomeks Whooops! I will try to fix that in the next update!

neowedge 2020-10-07 20:05

I love the aesthetic of the game!!! Very funny and addictive, great entry, congrats!

loig 2020-10-07 20:16

Impressive graphics!

barelyevengames 2020-10-07 23:20

Very cool graphics! I love the mechanic, but it can be a little tricky to hit some of these guys since they just teleport out of the way of the very slow moving projectile. Overall, very good entry!

ubershmekel 2020-10-08 04:54

I survived 3 rounds and killed 11 mages. The graphics were super cool in a programmer art way. So psychedelic and matrix-tron-like. The mechanics of the battles were a bit awkward. It took me a while to figure out how to fight. I still don't understand what is the time rewind mechanism useful for. Is it to somehow cause mages to step into their own spells? The narrator and character design were engaging and cool. Though I'm not sure if I played through all of it. The evil mages got a bit repetitive with their behaviors. It looks like you did a lot of work to make this unique angle of a mage battle, and it definitely feels wizard-like. Thank you for the game.

arkinrev 2020-10-08 06:00

Fantastic job and that was a lot of fun. I really liked using the enemy spells against them. That was a really interesting dynamic when trying to set up a kill with the rewind. Great entry!

the-missing-bracket 2020-10-08 10:01

this is the best game in this jam so far. literally everything in this game is good, especially when you play as rubick

kack3y 2020-10-08 11:45

Really good entry ! Really fun ! Like graphics, gameplay and music/SFX/voice. May need a bigger collision box for spell stealing and a invulnerability frame when you get hit because I usually die of harassment ^^"

Рубик саппорт, клок солохард © Величайший

No chance to play, spells cannot be stolen, tutorial still is over the scene.

elbbard 2020-10-13 19:01

Very cool, I almost succeeded level 2. The AI is pretty strong, I wonder how you implemented that. Thank you :)

banholio 2020-10-16 17:50

Great game, congratulations!

jakobthequizguy 2020-10-17 14:29

Wow, this is great. After learning the controls I had a great time, it was a bit annoying when the mages kept teleporting away from my spells but it was a minor nuisance. The music, graphics, mood and gameplay all fit together like puzzle pieces and form a very solid entry. Great job on this game, super impressive for a compo, and would be impressive for jam as well so that says a lot!

anrqangel 2020-10-19 19:16

Nice concept, nice art style, good game mechanic, controls took a while to get used to, also couldn't much understand the point of rewinding time if you couldn't use it after dying.. if you had at least a few seconds to try it, might be better.. otherwise, good entry..

allbetsareoff 2020-10-22 00:08

I like the visuals but i do think colors make it a bit visually busy. I think adding some contrast to the game might make it more pleasant to play for longer periods of time.

nil4k 2020-10-22 09:28

Looks good, but it's hard to learn how to play when the game is constantly ending.

island-jam-2-group-3 2020-10-22 20:50

Loved the sounds of the enemies! xD I also loved the gameplay. For the graphics, they are cool to, but I found the level floor itself a bit irritating / distracting while playing ^^U Other than that cool entry and good job!
