Nice game, I dig thease simplistic graphics, the only thing I would point out is that it is very difficult to distinguish the player from the background. Good gameplay, nice aesthetics and very good music. Well done!
Love the music and sound effetcs. Pretty neat game idea as well. With so may enemies it gets chaotic dodging them without altering the course of the ball. Very cool!
Fits the theme and pretty well executed. Could us a pause button.
I really like this! A safe spawn spot might be good? Those respawning enemies get brutal quick! You should totally keep going on this. Great entry!
Great game! Controls are tight, love the rails quick switching to finish levels.
Super fun game!
Not sure about the puzzle-plus-bullet-hell format, but... just going to... try it a few more times... just to make sure...

It's funny how different people can develop similar concepts (rails) into completely different games! I love the overall style of it. Music, sfx and graphics are perfectly matched. Gameplay is simple and fun,I liked the combo of puzzle and shooter genres, well done!

Neat! The audio works very well, and combining the simple puzzle gameplay with enemy avoidance gives it a unique feel.
The one thing I would suggest is that it might be a cleaner design without shooting, instead balancing the enemy waves for pure avoidance? I think that would make the feel even sharper and the gameplay more skill-based without taking anything away from the core pairing of mechanics. (I actually found myself playing that way automatically and it felt really good, but that might just be a personal dislike of mixed kb+m controls in 2D games.)
Great game! The simple rail mechanics complement the combat pretty much perfectly.

Awesome game! Probably the one game I have played the most out of this Lodum Dare, the puzzles got very hard as the game progressed and the fact you added a space shooter in the mix made it 10x harder and way more fun!
Sadly I only made it to level 14, I think I will give it another shot in a second, maybe I will get it to 15 this time :P
How many levels did you make? It came out great man, really good job!
Really interesting. the gameplay was challenging and I really liked the music. The first few levels, except the first one, were a little too easy in my opinion.

Thanks for your comments everyone!
@daitli: it goes forever - levels are randomly generated. (That was a big part of the challenge in making this game.) My own record is 15.

Well, level 12 max for me now. I will definitely return to this game. Easily recognizable enemies and their behaviour. In later levels it became difficult to avoid them all and don't trigger rail switch.

A great concept and well executed. The only problem I had was that I "accidentally" solved the puzzle a few times by moving a bit, without getting a chance to even look at the rails properly. Maybe adding a second or two before each level to give the player time to look at the level before starting it would help?

Aha! got to 18 where I was quickly decimated by a line of arrow enemies as large as the screen. This might be one of my favorites, the quick two layered gameplay is really addicting. The situations I enjoyed the most where when at the start of the level you set the correct path before the enemies get there and you just have to survive the incoming onslaught while also avoiding the switches. Overall extremely fun and polished game!
Background music is nice, and game is very enjoyable. It's interesting that you have to get the ball to the end and shoot enemies at the same time but it feels a bit like you are playing two unrelated games at the same time. There's not enough connecting the two sides of the game together.

It gets hard pretty quickly but the mechanic is solid and well-executed. I managed to get to level 16, but then there are just so many enemies x) .
The music is nice and the visuals are great for being so simple!
Nice entry !

Very cool game, great simple graphics and music!
I feel that at some point there are way too many enemies and maybe it would be good to have some kind of power up to get rid of them faster at higher levels?
I felt a bit confusing not seeing where I need to go to solve puzzles because of big number of enemies, maybe adding a bit of time before the level starts could also help?

Super cool game, simple but cool :)
Minimal art style and everything is pleasant to look at, lots of juice, sound effects are perfect, music is super cute.
Truly nothing really negative to say. Initially I though the direction switching and shooting aspects don't meld well together, but the shooting adds a dimension of hectic-ness that wouldn't exist otherwise. Waiting for the "train" to get to the "end station" while you are already surrounded by enemies and wondering if it'll get there in time - honestly, pure adrenaline.
Great job on this game!
P.S. Thanks for the kind and detailed feedback on OnRail :purple_heart: Interesting how our games are totally different, yet the interpretation of the theme and main game interaction are the same
I can see myself spending hours on it, really cool and nicely done

The game was simple and fun! I do think that the threats injected too much complexity too quickly. Maybe scale the number of threats a little slower.

I think I encountered a bug where I was on the bottom wall during loading and in the next level I couldn't move upwards no matter how many times I hit W or Up Arrow. The juice is done really well especially for a game whos focus isn't neccecarily on combat. Where the puzzles procedurally generated or just randomly picked from a set? Overall a really fun little puzzle game. Good job!
Great game! Really like the concept. Love the music and sound effetcs. Graphics is nice, I like the minimal look but can be a bit improved. Good job!

@sharks: thanks for the bug report! I will have a look although I haven't been able to reproduce it. It doesn't seem like something trivial so if I can figure it out I will probably wait until after ratings are over before I upload a fix. Puzzles are procedurally generated as you play.

A clean game! The simplicity of the design is good for this kind of game. The puzzles are easy but efficient, and because it's randomly generated, it's a technical success. Congrat! The mix between shoot game and puzzle is special, but interesting and this give the challenging part. Good entry!
