I got used to the controls pretty quickly, but that was probably one of the most hectic and difficult games I have ever played. But extremely fun. I kept dying pretty quickly and then trying again and again.

Quite a fun game. Enjoyed it a lot.
Interesting so far, I do believe at the start of the game if you fall down you can not get back up again. This was annoying and I had to keep reloading the page until I discovered you could press r to restart.
@alistair
Unless I am mistaken I don't think you can wall jump out if you fall down at the beginning. On both sides of the pit there is an overhang which stops you if you are wall jumping
When I downloaded the zip, it was corrupt and wouldn't open, I will try again
Really enjoyed this game. I enjoyed building the tower. However I disliked how it was difficult to see where your blocks were going due to them filling up a lot of the screen.
Really nice game. I like the graphical style and the gameplay was quite fun, trying to work out how to get the enemies to collide with each other.
For some reason it crashes when I click the left mouse button. Might be a problem with flash on my PC.
Sorry meant java
Don't worry, it is working for me now, I don't know what fixed it.
Fun game although I keep getting the cannon stuck in the floor.
Chickenwing, could you try running it in compatablity mode for windows 98, for some reason the game crashes randomly on Windows Vista and Windows 7 if you do not do this.
And about tutorial levels. Yeah I think that is a good idea, I might add some more levels and actual in game instructions later, I don't know what the competition rules are regarding extra levels are but I could definately add some for the jam. It was difficult to judge the difficulty of the levels I was making.
Also, about it taking a long time. You can keep moving forward turns by holding in the spacebar.
It is possible, remember that snipers can shoot in a straight line in a direction, and that you can turn a dead human into a zombie by moving up to them. Work out the quickest way of getting a sniper to a place where they can shoot the human, right click on the human and you should get it. Sorry if the levels are impossible to work out. I have had no playtesting except for my own, and seeing as I already knew the solutions I couldn't really judge difficulty.
Should work now Covenant
@Spooner
Thanks, I'm trying to get it to work for everyone without compatibility mode. I have a friend who has Windows 7 64bit and I'll try and meet up with them and see if I can get it to work. It's not a problem with my code. It is that the compiled version of PySFML you can download from the website doesn't work properly. I thought I fixed it but it seems not for Windows 7 64bit.
@ExciteMike
Yeah, I'll probably release some extra levels at some point. I was working on the code for another enemy type and then I realised I only had an hour left so deleted it and tried to make some levels in the time remaininng.
@everyone
If any of you can use the level editor, upload the levels you made somewhere and post the url here. I'd like to see what ideas other people can come up with.
@DrPetter Yeah, I realise that is one of the biggest problems with the game right now. There is no tutorial or instructions in game. Some people I know have been able to get it straight away, but others didn't get it even after reading the instructions multiple times. That is definately one thing I will improve if I ever get round to making a post compo version.
To those who don't get it, you might be able to wrap your head around the controls a bit more if you think of it like a turn based strategy game.
Fun game, I like the sound effects. Might be a little too based in luck though as one time I ended up being able to kill all the enemies just by moving right a bit moving back and moving right again, because they were all nicely lined up.But this probably won't make me mark you down.
I actually really liked this game. If you make a post compo version I would love to see variable jump height and some different obstacles or ways to slow the monster down.
Really enjoyed this game, fun and challenging, still haven't beaten it yet, best is 9/10 so far.
Nice game, liked the graphics and the atmosphere.
Works reasonably well, the sounds were slightly annoying though.
I have a netbook with a 1024x600 screen size, at first I was unable to see the bottom of the game window and there was no scrollbar. I was able to play by removing the paragraph on top and setting to fullscreen. Fun game. You were correct when you said it gets weird.
Crashes when I press play unfortunately.
Doesn't run for me, crashes when I start it.
Background music is nice, and game is very enjoyable. It's interesting that you have to get the ball to the end and shoot enemies at the same time but it feels a bit like you are playing two unrelated games at the same time. There's not enough connecting the two sides of the game together.
I rode off into the sunset and uncertainty. Looking back now, there is one thing I'll miss, although the days seemed to repeat without end, I was always praised for doing a good job.
Good job, the music, text, and imagery created an appropriately depressing atmosphere, and the game definitely fit the theme of being stuck in a loop.
Looks great and plays great too. I like how much animation and movement there is in this.
Enjoyable game. I also got stuck on the level that Demetri and 2bam did, and had to restart the game to try a different strategy.
@minibetrayal good point, if I were to expand on this game I would probably add a dashed outline of where asteroids and the first ship are going to be that appears in the last few seconds of the loop to give you time to dodge away.
@Jarvisp99 Good advice, I think it's okay in this instance as you can use only the left and right arrow keys for turning, and use Z to accelerate forward, but I will keep this in mind for future web games. I also think I can solve that issue by disabling the default behaviour of the arrow keys when you are focused on the game.
@Rolly good point about making retrying more convenient and making music is something I will learn and apply to future jams.
I had the same bug as @oa5f . I had the bug on Level 8, but was still able to beat the level. Strangely, while when I pressed e I didn't pick up the box, the ghost replay did. Picking up boxes worked again on Level 9. And I beat the game. Even with the bugs, this is one of the most fun games in the competition, the bug even gave me a little more to think about in my strategy.
Really nice. Still working my way through the levels. A good amount of challenge.
I managed to escape, but I must admit I cheated by reading the code. I can see how you are supposed to work out the solution, but I couldn't myself. The phone numbers on the note not doing anything made me think that the phone didn't work, or I typed the numbers in wrong. If they worked but were not helpful, I can see how I might have worked out the actual solution.
A relaxing experience, good for a break between playing the other compo games. Did you have any ideas for a game around this?
Good game, I liked how there was a variety of environments you visit and obstacles you encounter.
Really quite fun when I got the hang of it, I managed to beat all the levels. I got confused by how sometimes when shooting no laser beam would appear, but I worked out that was only when I was aiming upwards, or away from any platforms. Not much to the theme of being stuck in a loop except for the normal way a game would work where you die and have to try again, I guess that counts :).
I was not expecting ending. A nice simple story based game.
Nice little platformer. Wall jumping felt a bit weird and I didn't know I could do it until I read about it in the comments. Nice that you keep track of total time to add some replayability.
Charming game with a nice art style. I would like to see a longer game in this style.
