Deeper Than You Think by Genpaku 2021-04-25T18:23:34Z
At first I couldn't understand why I died) Died several times and only then thought that I might have oxygen limit. I love the music and the idea, it's funny)

This game looks really professional. Sound and visual do a great job together, all the dialog options are well done. The airport guard reminded me of anime Space Dendy :)
I'm not an experienced gamer (I prefer point&click quests), so my best result is 5 pearls) Tried to buy more oxygen but it didn't help.
I liked the art, it's very nice!
I'm not an experienced gamer (I prefer point&click quests) so had to ask my husband to play the game. At level 1 we couldn't use the ladder but got through with 2 ropes.
I like the character and music) Felt a bit frustrated about the time the game loaded (macOS Big Sur, Chrome).
Overall, good job!
@chtimy we just coudn't put it where we wanted, e.g. I could put it only too far from the place it would be useful.
I got stuck on a third puzzle, though I suspected that kings names had some relation to other items in the room. I like the way how you deal with jam theme, though. I also like scene transitions.
At first I was a bit irritated about the walk sound (seemed too loud). After a while I got used to it.
Got eaten with centipede several times! Had no idea what to do with it :D Also spent too much time around the rabbit: it promised to show some secret entrance and I expected something to happen, some animation pointing where I should go next.
The music is nice and relaxing, I liked the style of the characters and some background items)
I liked the pencil art and the music. Little details in the rooms were also nice and funny.
But the lack of graphics at the start of the game at first made me think that there are mistakes in the game or it won't have any graphics at all.
I'm not an experienced player (I prefer point&click quests). But I've got 3 treasures (killed one fish though). Then my 4 year old son started playing, I didn't watch closely but he also got at least 3 treasures.
I like the art, nice graphics! Couldn't hear the music or sounds (MacOs, Safari). I would prefer arrows or WASD as controls.
I'm not an experienced gamer so I liked the relaxing gameplay. Played the game with my 4 year old son, I moved the leaf and he was responsible for F and G controls.
I like the black and white art and the music that's playing during the game. Didn't like intro music that much (sounded like too complicated for me). Also it would be cool to add some animations when you press F and G. Overall, good job!
My 4 year old son is a fan of Jacques-Yves Cousteau tv show, loves everything about divers so we coudn't pass by)
Had some problems with jelly fish, but solved this puzzle and reached the end of the game. I love the art (usually I don't like pixel art but this is a wonderful exception), music and the atmosphere of this deep dive. Great job!
I loved the art, atmosphere and the idea of the game. My only wish is to have a number of "healed" people in the upper right corner of the game window.
A really innovative idea to pretend something else!
The process reminded me of playing hide-and-seek when the seeker seeks with closed eyes and you try not to make noise when he is around. I liked graphics and music too.
I liked the graphics of the characters) I wish that I could use some keys to use the stuff from inventory, my 4 year old son wasn't very happy when I searched through texts (kept whining :D)
Clicked a lot :) Found out some facts, but couldn't finish the game. Got stuck with "I love the pastries"
The art is nice. The click interface is good (I've seen jam point&click games in which you can't just click another object, you have to press a button "inspect another object").
Didn't feel like a game, it was more an experience that you can get when you visit some modern art exhibition) Interesting idea. I looked around and then clicked the floor and saw the clock, then clicked to go to the next dream...
To make it a game you could add ability to move around and to find and pick some item that would take player to another dream (go deeper in the dreams). The winner would be the one who went the deepest. This item could look very similar to the background (so the player would have to search carefully the whole dream space).
Definitely innovative gameplay! I like the music, too.
I had found out some facts (about panic attacks, what she felt, Tom, etc) but then got stuck.
This is the first time I have played a text adventure, even though I like to read and to write kids books) It is well written, nice jokes, fits the theme well.
I'm not an experienced player (I prefer point&click quests) so 1/6 was my best result :D Also got into the situation when my piece got stuck for a while: when it was around the first piece to catch for some time it kind of stopped and couldn't fly.
I liked the art, music and idea though. Привет из Домодедово ;)
My 4 year old son loves Jacques Ives Cousteau tv shows so we couldn’t pass by. I’m not an experienced player (I prefer quests) so I couldn’t dive too deep but still scored better then my son) I liked the gameplay, the lightning effect and art.
I wondered why a game with such beautiful art has too few ratings. I guess it's because html version takes ages to load... I have macOS Big Sur, opened it in Chrome and I've been waiting for 5 minutes already, don't know if it'll be able to load( UPD. it opened quickly in Safari
Well done art, music sometimes seemed too epic for me. Nice puzzles, but in the end the king started to move by himself and a green scene appeared. Was it the end animation?
When I saw this cute catstronaut I couldn’t pass by! I love mysterious detectives. Seemed too much talking but it’s understandable considered harsh time limit for game development. I loved the drawn art and the last dialog)
*Our game has enough ratings but I couldn't pass by your game*
It'a piece of art that should be exhibited at some modern art museum! I can easily imagine how I walk in some Tate Modern and play this in some dark room with a huge touchscreen :) Great atmosphere, great use of the topic, also loved how it was drawn.
Good atmosphere and art. First I failed quickly, then discovered what to do with 'P' handle and kept element stable for some time. I think it would be nice to have time scores, if this game had time scores I would play a couple more times and see what's my highest could be.
Thank you, @circle, this is so nice to hear! Everybody in our team tried to keep our inner perfectionists in a cage and kept an eye on time spent on each task. Like we were working at a startup and were waiting for investors to come and check us on Monday :)
@baknik and a real timesaver for us was to plan "the games bones" in Miro (https://miro.com/). Nobody paid me for this advertising, not a legal advice either :)
@danae my friend wrote me about such bug yesterday:
By the way, when I first went to play One Dark Day, I got a weird error message: "no valid storage adapters found". It turned out that I had to enable third-party cookies, and then it went away
@ardorugus the music is not ours, I'll ask Leonius where he got that and add all the credits :) If you liked the music choice, I guess you can express it in 'mood' grade
@gerrrard I think in ideal case we should have offered choices "twitch version" and "I dont hurry, can read lots of letters" :) Maybe next time :)
I remember your cat from the previous jam, so I decided to check this game too :) Great art, atmosphere, music. Loved shaking animation. The text is funny too, poop culture and other stuff :) Not "too much talking" this time, great job!
Great job for a compo, you certainly know how to prioritise features. The game certainly has an atmosphere. I played 2 times and reached bad end 1 and bad end 3.
Wanted to play this so much, but I cant pass even the first running! Even my husband coudnt do it in 5 mins and he is a very experienced gamer. So no "chilling mood" for me. Is there an opportunity to skip first run?
@fer-gueler I suppose X can help me over jump that 8th Hand that I can't pass. But it's a completely next level of skills for me. You see, I prefer games where you wander around, gather some clues and objects and solve puzzles. Games that need good reaction and coordination kind of stress me out :) Maybe if you decided to publish this game, you could make an opportunity for such people like me - to open some hidden door by solving some puzzle :) which appears only after user has made at least unsuccessful attempts :D Maybe you could share a gameplay video link, it's very interesting to see what would be next if I passed.
