I really enjoyed solving the little puzzles. It is not the best looking game but it was an enjoyable experience (I liked the little touch of humor at the end!). Good job!

I really enjoyed solving the little puzzles. It is not the best looking game but it was an enjoyable experience (I liked the little touch of humor at the end!). Good job!
This is the funniest interpretation of the theme I've seen, and the puzzle with the three kings was pretty hard (I learned the word "Arpeggio" today). I had a really hard time setting the clocks, it seemed like it only worked if I clicked the very bottom of the number. Also, I loved the Strong Bad reference.
@dynamix Thank you so much! I was really worried about how people would like it.
@osterzone Yeah, There were some issues with hitbox detection.Nice to know you liked the game anyways!
Cool, a point and clicker! Nice theme, I thought about conspiracy theories but couldn't think of a way to make it a game. The first two puzzles were nice, couldn't get past the third :( The bookcase and harpsichord flash when I try to turn the TV on but can't think of anything else to try. It was very funny that the guy is 2-dimensional, but he walks wayyyy too slow. The sound of footsteps gets old when it's constantly playing.
@iorena sorry about the walkspeed; I'll speed it up in the postjam. The clues for the third puzzle are in the paintings.
I love point and click games and I love conspiracies! Silly and fun.
Classic point and click games are some of my favourites. I also got stuck on the third puzzle, I assumed the paintings were clues but couldn't find a way to apply that to the scene. I loved the flat characters turning in 3D space though, it looks great.
(DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS)
@kernon the names of each king refer to the item to interact with, and the numbers refer to the order.
so Arpeggion = harpsichord
Cathodic = tv
Biblos = bookcase
I actually went back to finish this after your hint just to say I did. Thanks! :smile: The final puzzle feels rotated compared to what I expected, but I solved it! Thanks for making this!
@kernon Thanks for playing it!
Reminded me of the 'Milkman Conspiracy' vibe from 'Psychonauts'! Congrats man! o/
@caiolima High praise!
Love the conspiracy vibe! I think that stiff graphics are very funny and charming.
I love the route you went with the theme, I also really enjoy the walking noise as it reminds me of a clock and I feel like that fits the vibe.
@revilo I'm proud of it too. Fun fact about the walk noise, i made it by recording myself tapping my fingers on my mousepad.
Great (though short) puzzle game, the third puzzle was a bit hard compared to the others, but otherwise I had fun! I liked the ending too :D
It's not loading for me, I see the Unity loading bar but nothing happens. Did you update the build somehow? Which Unity version did you use? Anyway, I'm leaving this comment to remind myself to check back later.
@shaolin-dave I used unity 2020.1. Sometimes when a unity project freezes while loading reloading the page a few times usually helps?
cute character,graphic can be a little better feel a little hard to solve this , may be the first puzzle can be just a clock,lol~
Nice, cute style, reminds me of old point and click adventures. The character is slow, but you don't have to wait for them to arrive somewhere to interact, which is a very good decision. Homestar references are always a plus for me. I'd like to see more complex environments, with the puzzles and clues more difficult. It's a tough genre though, and a good effort.
I like the scene transitions! It would have been nice to be able to input the clock numbers some other way, maybe in increments of 15 minutes. Clicking until I got to 45 minutes felt tedious. The other puzzles were pretty cool though, and I'd have loved to see more of the lizard people!
Nice little adventure clicker. Could use little diffculty buff.
Lovely. The UI is a little hard to use but I solved all the puzzles.
I appreciated the ending :D
Like the art style, challenges were a little too simple. However loved the idea, great work!
Enjoyed the strange conspiratorial atmosphere and have to love any game that throws in H*R references. The graphics look very strange (in a good way) and other than the first one, the puzzles were quite good. (The first one isn't bad per se, I just would've liked better hints than just a paper straight up telling you what to do. Then again maybe that's the tutorial?) Quite liked it! Great job!
This is awesome! It's short, but the material that's there is very enjoyable! I especially appreciate the attention to detail and the fitting dialog, and the graphics style is just phenomenal ;P. The flat nature of the protagonist does not seem to diminish the deepness of this game in any way! :D
Great job!
PS: Thank you so much for blessing deepr with your lovely words of wisdom!
@phi Thank you for you kind words!
PS: I try. :wink:
**+** creative use of theme
**+** funny and entertaining puzzles
**+** I want to believe
**-** I wanted to waddle faster
**-** Those dudes running off blasted me with footsteps
**-** It could use a bit more content & sound effects for interactions
Short but good at what it's going for!
This was hilarious. I loved the people running out the door, and the "This may not have been a good idea." Puzzles and graphics were OK, but I literally lol'd at "trying hard to be surprised" =)
The only this I didn't enjoy was the ammount of clicking need to set the time :p. Its a funny take on the theme and liked the atmosphere.
First of all, thank you very much for your message under my post and for your encouragement and encouragement. I'm sorry I've only now had time to come over and check out your game. This style is very bold and artistic, and I personally super like it. It's enough to get me into thinking.
The graphics are a bit lacking, but the puzzles were fun! Although, you did seem to just need to brute force the second one. Was I missing something?
@studio-gomp The clue for the second puzzle is in the **pi**e poster.
@wizard-sino ohh! clever!
Interesting game, nice puzzles. I feel like having the character set up in 3d is not really the correct choice, as he can be rotated to be just a thin line. It does fit in with the weirdness aesthetic though.
Fun take on the theme! I'm not usually into puzzle games but this was short and sweet. The first puzzle took me the longest since apparently I can't read (didn't see "clockwise"). Movement is slow but since you can interact with things from far away doesn't make much difference.
I'm horrible at puzzles :D This was fun though! The puzzles are clever, love the sound design, the visuals are fun and colorful. I would maybe make the text a bit more readable since I as well didn't see it said "clockwise" on the first puzzle. I thought it was just me being a dummy but since someone else mentioned it, it might be a readability issue. The ending was fun, wish there were more puzzles. Great work!
I got stuck on a third puzzle, though I suspected that kings names had some relation to other items in the room. I like the way how you deal with jam theme, though. I also like scene transitions.
At first I was a bit irritated about the walk sound (seemed too loud). After a while I got used to it.
Awesome game, and loved the puzzles. The pie one stumped me for a bit (as I thought all the buttons were needed) but worked it out and got to the end!
* Clock input was a bit annoying - you could only click on the edges to move up, and if you clicked too much it was a long trek around again * The walking sound could be dropped a little, it was a bit loud
Neat little game. I appreciated the pi puzzle and the google one. The third one tripped me up a little because no "press I" prompt on the bookshelf. The art style has a nice touch and the 3d perspective of the 2d sprites is a nice touch. Neat entry, funny ending.
I made it to the end, and this was not bothering (except the sound of moving around), so I think this is good. Well done!
I have not see a lot of click adventure games in this LD, but this is really good. Maybe a smooth movement would help, still had a lot of fun.
Hello! Very nice puzzle clicker!:) I've enjoyed it a lot. I like the design of the tall guy. I agree with others, the movement of this character could be better, faster maybe? Besides this, cool game!
Pretty cool start to clicker adventure! Obviously a few places to improve on as a jam game. I think the two biggest keys to improving this would be to focus on feedback and input. For the first puzzle, there's just a lot of clicking that could be improved by having click-hold, up/down, only use multiples of 5. Something to reduce the number of clicks, especially when you can err the first clock and have to re-click the times for all of them if it doesn't work (or just allow for any configuration with the correct ordering). As for feedback, in the second puzzle, one element doesn't have quite the amount of feedback for success as the others (at least on my monitor), and it made it hard to know if it was a part. Without forcing the player to examine the hints, it also ends up being another "just random click" puzzle. Three of the puzzles could be (and likely might be) beaten through pretty random clicks, but that's not necessarily a terrible thing.
A lot of notes, but overall a good start! Lots of stuff to pack in during a jam, really good.
Well...my ankle started to aches after game launched. Is it conspirancy?
Some very unique puzzles! I like the google logo one, ha! I didn't really solve the one with the music and the tv, I just kinda fiddled with the interactables until the door opened. Cool game!
A very fun take on the theme, with some interesting (and tricky) puzzles. It's short, yes, but most Ludum Dare games are, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.
For me, the most irritating part of this game is the character's footsteps. They get very, *very* repetitive, especially with the slow movement speed. Luckily you don't have to wait for him to actually walk to an object before you can interact with it. The graphics also aren't the greatest, but that's understandable considering the short length of the jam period - if you're a coder and not an artist, you're gonna struggle in this area.
There are some improvements that could be made to the puzzle interactions as well - I have no idea what the solution to the final puzzle was, and it wasn't immediately clear what the final step of the third puzzle was. But there's a solid base here, I think, for you to build upon in the future.
Haha, nice sense of humor in this game. I don't think it's too short for a jam game! The final puzzle was my favorite one. The second one I just did trial-and-error until I got 3/4 of the way through and then figured it out. The third one threw me off a little because I didn't try pressing (i) when I needed to. Thanks for not making me wait for the guy to walk over to stuff before I can interact with it :). Overall, a good entry, congrats!
The puzzles are too difficult to enjoy casually.
Good luck!
Cool game, nice interpretation of the concept. The puzzles were fun to figure out.
I have one small suggestion, have buttons that can be clicked to interact or close the textboxes in addition to Spacebar and i. That way, the game can be played with 1 hand.
I also found a bug: The bookshelf's textbox was empty, so I had to randomly guess I had to press i.
Keep up the good work!
I like the visuals and the global tone of the game! A mix of cartoon and occult, it creates a nice universe. As for the puzzles, they are interesting, but can be a bit too laborious sometimes (especially the first one, which requires a lot of click just to enter digits). Nice job!
i didn't get the first puzzle.
@msipp27
set the clocks, start from the top, i left a note, you're not too bothered i hope.
Honestly a really interesting take on the theme and surprisingly eerie. Although simple the art style really helps to give the off feeling and reminded me of certain sequences in Yumi Nikki. The only thing I felt was missing (apart from a longer game which I would love to see) would be music as the game felt like it was missing something until the classical music started playing. A little bit of polish and a lot of expansion and this could be made into a really interesting story/puzzle game I would happily play. Overally for a jam gam, amazing job!
Good job. Took me a while to figure out the first room's clue. But then I read it carefully and managed to open the door... The second room was also cool. I got stuck in the 3rd room. Didn't know what to do. Listened to Fur Elise (Beethoven) all the way through, thinking I might be able to then switch on the TV correctly or move the bookcase, but nothing happened. Not sure what to do after that. Good job on playing the piano piece faultless :) Graphics need work, but coming from someone who also knows how frustrating animation and graphics are when its not your strong suit I think it was a good attempt.
Here is my Playthtough of your game as you requested:

hope you enjoy!
@ausstein thank you so much for playing my game! I know it's not much, but it makes me happy to see you play it.
I'm glad it was helpful <3
I accidentally bruteforced the last two puzzles... Anyway, the visuals and lack of background music made for a very creepy atmosphere, which I liked. The ending, while surprising, was a bit of a letdown, though...
