this was a beautiful game! the music was gorgeous, visuals were great and the idea of moving platforms that slowly begin to crumble overtime was a very wonderful way to incorporate the theme! i could play this game for hours and not even think about it (and ill probably have to in order to beat it, as the yellow fairy people keep killing me XD)

Overloaded Server by kbf123 2021-10-04T21:28:20Z

i noticed everyone elses comments, i just recently downloaded it and i am currently experiencing no errors so it works now!

now onto what i though, this game was so stinking cute and was a fun twist on the theme, you could also say that the angry customers are unstable too LOL, i had alot of fun playing the game! i havent gotten that many points so far but im gonna keep trying! the artwork was super cute, "Byte" is the cutest little robo bean...the only thing i do wish for is some sort of audio, but i understand especially on a time crunch that can be hard to implement but other than that this was a delightful experience!

St. Eugene the Resolute by bwalter 2021-10-04T21:19:38Z

i instantly clicked on this game when i saw a cute goat and i dont regret it..this was such a cute but infuriating game. i kept screaming at my scream because i couldnt get over the first mountain side at first and when i finally did i went too far and dropped into the water pit below...and i loved every second of failing XD...this was so much fun to play and i will be playing it more and more until i get to the end damn it!

Midnight Maintenance by Tattomoosa 2021-10-07T06:03:20Z

absolutely loved this game and it was hilarious af..it did make me realize just how horrid i am at jumping in games though LOL (im the type of person who cant even do parkour in minecraft though) the sound effects were great and also hilarious...the overall atmosphere was great too, even got scared by a couple of the zombies exploding behind me

Mystic Push by TheSomeoneXD 2021-10-11T01:51:30Z

the art and music in this game were breathtaking! and the puzzles were really fun and just the right level of difficult...the only complaint id give is one i see a few others have given and thats the camera perspective...while it added to the atmosphere, it did make the puzzles a bit more difficult to maneuver..but i loved how charming this game was over all, yall did a great job!

Unstable Concoction by zantze 2021-10-04T19:32:22Z

i got 4161 on my first try, this was such a fun game to play! i love that you came up with a typing game for this kinda theme. absolutely great job! i loved every second of this game!

Solar Colonies by Fenderbate 2021-10-07T06:31:15Z

it took me a moment to realize fully what i was doing, but after i got the hang of what items did what i started stablizing the planets rather quickly! i managed to beat it JUST before the timer stopped (27.55 sec left lol), i am VERY partial to any game that involves space and planets, but you managed to make the atmosphere and mood of the game work so well! great job over all 10/10 game!

Project Earth by anstabo 2021-10-10T22:37:59Z

super fun game, played the web version and it ran just fine!, the atmosphere of the game was so fun, i didnt even realize til i started moving the camera that the sun was actually behind me the entire time!! i love that aspect and i love that there was the building to get resources thing..i did have the game crash the first time after trying to place 3 buildings in the same general area but i just went back and started again, i was pretty close to dying that round anyway...i liked the idea of choosing an unstable star as your thing for the theme! overall great job, loved the game!!

Portal Rescue by Vimlark 2021-10-04T23:17:28Z

very fun game, this is a game i could probably play for hours even after beating all the levels, a nice leasurely game that has just the right level of difficulty mixed in. i love how the pong bois had the portals too, if you lined them up just right it made it easy to take out certain pillars..the art was super cute and the sound effects and music were amazing...great job!

A Long Way Home by Alexascher 2021-10-07T06:52:08Z

beautiful and very laid back game! i died pretty early on the first few times, wasnt expecting the giant shark LOL loved the death screens, i like the upgrades as you go on and hit certain points, overall super fun and very well made!

Wizards Quest by Lakea 2021-10-04T18:26:37Z

i liked the way you interpreted the theme for this! the concept of the floor being unstable was a fun mechanic that i used to beat the enemies on some areas...they got the upper hand on me a few times though LOL...this gave me almost a dnd style battle mechanic too which is super fun! overall pretty good entry!

Grabanakki by Saturnyoshi 2021-10-07T06:14:56Z

i absolutely loved this game! the visuals were so eye-grabbing and the gameplay was such a fun concept for this theme!...i havent beaten all the levels yet but that is something i will look forward to trying to accomplish over time! great job on this game!

Hammer Keep by BadPiggy 2021-10-04T21:01:24Z

loved this game! the rules were simple enough and i liked the music and sound effects alot. i realized i suck heavily at this game though and ended up dying alot LOL. i think once i get into the rhythm of it the enemies wont murder me as bad. i liked the overall concept of attacks and health being connected too, overall great job! i have a feeling ill be playing this game alot

The Lesser Evil by Jon Topielski 2021-10-10T22:24:00Z

this was a very fun game! i didnt win my first run but this is a game that i could continue playing for hours to try and beat it! the music and audio fit really well too..i loved that there are so many fun curses implemented, i just cant seem to pick the right combo to beat this LOL will be trying again to beat it because its really fun!

Everything's Fine by Patsui 2021-10-07T06:43:08Z

super fun game, almost lost it the first time because i didnt notice that there were power switches LOL but got the hang of it as time went on...great job on the game i had fun!

Guests by Daddysucc5000 2021-10-04T22:12:25Z

ill tell you what, the mood of this game definitely screamed horror game when you start it up...i got an unsettling feeling the moment i opened the game...i like that you went with the theme of "unstable" in the sense of "income" i didnt even think of that when it came to this theme so applause there...the music was good, sound effects were great...also...loved the "selling your kidney" bit as its a common joke for alot of people who ARE in the situation of having unstable income...

also, did they take the son? was the son eaten? i guess thats up for debate and theory XD

Reac'this by DevUndead 2021-10-04T19:17:15Z

had fun trying to figure out how to get all the tasks done, i like that the doors were also "unstable" in the game as well as the reactor. the music and sounds were fun and i liked the addition of the sticky notes...i did have issues figuring out how to do some of the tasks but once i got the hang of how things worked i managed to do them...liked the addition of the timed events too

House is not always a home by SeaSlugStudios 2021-10-04T19:35:52Z

@zantze thank you so much for the feedback, this is only the second game ive ever made so im still learning the ropes when it comes to renpy, im glad you liked the game though!

i actually kicked myself in the but for not knowing how to change the UI in renpy yet, i didnt even know you could change the fonts either...this was a massive learning experience for me and i appreciate any and all feedback that i can get on this game to help me in the future!

thank you again, not just for the feedback but for playing my game in general :)

House is not always a home by SeaSlugStudios 2021-10-09T22:27:01Z

@tattomoosa thank you alot for that large amount of feedback, I will say there are a couple of things that even I personally didn't like about some of the dialogue pieces in the game...there are actually quite a few more situations and choices I meant to put into the game and flesh out more, but I almost ran out of time trying to get this done...I want to try and remake this game once Ludum Dare is officially over with better sounds and an actual planned and fully written and edited script

I meant for the choices to feel a bit difficult, as based on somewhat personal experience some choices wouldn't have mattered but I agree with you that I should have given more clues on certain situations.

This is the kinda feedback I was needing though because I knew there were things I rushed and ended up lacking in the final product that I wish I had done differently, so thank you again for taking the time to dissect my game like this!

@fupi @kirby @nyxkn @zantze @dnabro @avareii @ardorugus @freeworld @devundead @tattomoosa @gdesecrate @ugly-robot @natalia-dushkina @piper-thompson

i want to first off, thank every single one of you for leaving feedback on my game...it was extremely appreciated, i will be taking all of your feedback into account when i go on to make a full fledged game....i also wanna thank you all for even taking the time to play my game...this is only the second game ive ever put together (the first was also a game jam game) and I have been doubting myself on whether or not i should even continue with game dev stuff at all...but after seeing yall's feedback and my results i think i finally have the confidence to actually pursue this...i know this game had alot of flaws...i wasnt able to proofread any of the stuff before posting...the music and sound effects were rushed and the story wasnt even able to have all the endings i planned for it...but i managed to make a finished product and the fact that you all took the time out to actually play it? i cant thank you all enough

this was my first ever Ludum Dare...and with this now i hope to do plenty more and hopefully i can show you all the progress ive made thanks to your feedback! you all are the real MVPs for this game!
