Couldn't figure out how to continue after jumping the little platforms when you reached the little island, I tried over and over to reach the next wood platform but couldn't make it
I do like the athmosphere though, always like these kind of 3D games
@robert18 Were you sprinting with the Control key? Those jumps shouldn't be too difficult.
I love the signs, they made me laugh the whole way through. Found the jumping a bit difficult with how the gravity is handled after releasing the button. Great job!

It really builds up the mystery. :v:
Nice graphics. The jumping didn't didnt work so well for me, so I mostly walked around that (thank you unity terrain). Look nice, feels fine, gameplay could be a bit more diverse/interesting
@robert18 @butterfly @tinykidtoo thanks to your feedback I've tracked down a bug in the jumping physics that makes it perform differently on different machines. I believe I've fixed it now, in v1.2.
The early jumps should be pretty easy so please let me know if they're not! Thanks!

I was indeed not sprinting, I assumed the control would be Shift as it is in most games but it wasn't.
I managed to complete the game by just sprinting my way past all the zombies without killing any of them hehe :D
Fun little game the sprinting made me feel like the flash
Lmao at the signs. This is a pretty fun game. Like it's a simple concept but the little things are dope. For example the ominous red lighting of the power plant in the distance, the scene with the signs, the gradual buildup in intensity and difficulty. And it's short and sweet.
P.S. You're good at establishing a horror tone despite having comedic elements. That's pretty rare and a skill to cherish.

The atmosphere of horror and mystery is very nice. The red power plant is working as a good guiding target in the dark environment. I am not good at 3d action games and jumping over the platforms in limited time is not so easy for me.
I enjoyed the head wobble when the zombies attack.

I'm pretty impressed. I played for quite a while. The text on the signposts were fun. Nice job!

The actual movement was fun. Having it that fast changed the mood of the game from horror to just speed running and trying to get to the next checkpoint. Other than it was a fun route you went.
Fun, but too simple

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and audio, you're quickly thrown in to a very spooky world. I did clip through the floor while trying to run away from some zombies, so sometimes the running seemed a bit too fast paced. The glowing power plant in the distance works wonderfully and the signs are great, of course!
Great game! It was really fun, and like @tinykidtoo I really liked the signs! For some reason I read the one about the blow to the head and didn't realize it was a hint until later into the game. I was just like "Haha, indeed, that is a thing. What a funny statement of the obvious!" I also loved the ending. I think the only problem (though I was able to figure it out) was that it wasn't, as far as I know, explained anywhere that I could use shift to run and jump to farther places. Other than that though, really great game! Well done!
I liked how you taught the controls through dialogue in-game, muchhhh better than menu screen wall-of-text, even though I wasn't moving my character as I read it! Signs were funny and loved the lamp-post checkpoint idea.
I got that Jazzpunk, goofy story, FPS vibe from this. Super funny and silly and wears that like a badge of pride. It works really well in the contrasted "spooky" environment. Awesome entry!

Wow what a blast! Honestly just a real fun game!

Awesome little game, found myself panic sprinting because I got spooked, really awesome at building an atmosphere well done! :)

Really liked this one! The whole mood was reminiscent of the old The House of the Dead games. I loved the humor as well, with the audio and the signboards. I also like the quality of life feature that stops zombies from moving if the player is reading a sign. There were some quirks in the movement and the shooting, but the overall atmosphere created more than made up for it. Especially how the power plant was ominously visible in red throughout. Great job!

Fun horror game with some good atmosphere and some great writing, lots of laughs were had. Game kinda dragged a little at the end, maybe a second weapon, a different enemy or something along those lines could have spiced up the finale, but all around a very good submission!
I liked the level design. And the enemies were pretty spooky. I did run into one issue when i was killed right next to a checkpoint and kept getting killed on respawning. Would be great to have the monsters respawn on going back to a checkpoint in a future update!
Very funny, and a decent length for a jam game. A couple more 3d assets and maybe another mechanic would have gone a long way, but I totally understand the time constraint. Also, the audio is top notch. :D Great job, look forward to seeing more!
Great job on the mood and writing. I also really loved the audio! Some of the jumping bits were quite tricky but overall I really enjoyed it! Well done!

Cute horror game! The audio was a little low volume but otherwise good and funny. Nice one!
It was kinda cool ! loved the ambiance maybe it can have a little bit more polish of the platforming sections but overall it was really nice !
Great game! Loved the aesthetics and the writing!
That was fun! It's basically literally dark souls but with guns
These jumps are close to impossible. It was so annoying!
Nice atmosphere, simple concept done well. Solid game.
This was awesome! I went in expecting something scary, ended up with something that was strangely funny and charming for a horror game - and it *still* gave me a good spook! Polish the visuals up and extend it a little and you'd have an incredible little indie horror game here.

@elucidark Sorry the jumps gave you so much trouble. You're not the first to complain about the jumps so I'm aware of some issues, but if you don't mind I'd really like to get a bit more detail about what specifically you had issues with.
Were you sprinting? (with control or shift) Or was it issues with the air handling? Or maybe something else entirely?

I really liked the humour and the funny signposts! It was fun to play and was a complete gaming experience with a start, a middle and an end!
absolutely loved this game and it was hilarious af..it did make me realize just how horrid i am at jumping in games though LOL (im the type of person who cant even do parkour in minecraft though) the sound effects were great and also hilarious...the overall atmosphere was great too, even got scared by a couple of the zombies exploding behind me
Really good aesthetic, made me think of the old PS2 games! I appreciated the zombies staying dead - it made the game really nice to progress though! I feel like I kind of expected some momentum with the jumping. Without it, I often underestimated them.

I had quite a bit of fun playing this game. At times it was a bit too dark imo. But it's definitely a cool game with some cool graphics
Whenever I see a game like this, the first thing I do is check the comments to see if it's actually scary and/or has jump scares. Luckily the signs give it away that this will be a gentler experience so that is a nice effect of that design choice.
Direction-wise, I like how at first you hold the player's hand, but eventually the world opens up and the signs are a bit less easy to find. And sometimes you might even backtrack a little. But similar to Journey where eventually you can see the mountain goal, the red factory eventually gets noticeable enough to guide you and it ends up having a similar effect.
This was probably an accident, but I love how when you restart, you can still see remnant of the explosion that killed you. In the really open areas, this helped guide me to my previous location :)
So yea, I guess I wanted to point out and praise how even though this was a dark game that messed with your situational awareness, you used a lot of clues to allow the player to figure out where to go next. That's great design.

I didn't see anyone else mention it, so I just want to say that you can totally walk/jump off walls with a little determination. I think I ended up skipping a decent chunk by doing so. Just something to keep in mind for future entries. Otherwise it was a fun game.

Step 0: Lower mouse DPI.
Step 1: Shoot. See there is a bullet hole. Decal or Quad? Spoiler: It's quad.
Step 2: *Right click to interact.* Wonder why not E or F.
Step 3: mm1.png Revert mouse DPI.
Step 4: mm2.png
Step 5: Jump back to game area. No fall damage. Nice.
Step 6: See a street lamp. Try to jump on it. No collider.
Step 7: mm3.png Wish for an easter egg in step 4. Wonder if there are any more.
Step 8: mm4.png Inspect the power plant from real up close.
Step 9: ???
Step 10: Win the game.
Nice entry! Simple and to the point with some nice atmosphere. I would have liked some additional enemy types or something that made things harder than sniping unmoving zombies with a revolver
"Less is more", this is what I can say about this game, in a good way. Love simplicity. Basic, a bit janky, but fun.
