I like the graphics and the sounds are fun :D

I like the graphics and the sounds are fun :D
The game feels really solid. Shooting with the shotgun feels satisfying and the graphics are pretty to look at. I don't think the theme works too well though. Still a very good game, good job d:
Solid game.
The extra though put into the small things, like how the effect looks when you lose money, the hidden treasures, robbing the citizens, felt fun.
The gameplay feels rather difficult, sometimes the cops felt unavoidable when there was no place to hide. I feel like the nerfs you get from carrying multiple treasures, should be indicated more clearly in-game, and the one you get at 6 bags, makes you way too slow in my opinion.
The graphics are alright, you always know what you're looking at, although they look pretty primitive.
Anyways, fun game to play and explore! Good job d:
Pretty good, it's really fun to play, and I enjoy throwing all the presents at the same time and racking points. Although the audio could have been better and used some music, and I feel like the controls could've worked better if you moved the character with your mouse.
Anyways, solid and fun experience, good job d:
Very well put-together game, the marching theme really fits this LD. Although my reflexes are too slow to actually micromanage them all to the end even on the easiest difficulty, it was still fun to play.
I also liked how big and detailed the city were. Good job d:
Graphics are gorgeous, and I like the 'panel' type of hud. The gameplay is nothing too special but it works, and was fun to complete, although I wish you could do something against the enemies, instead of hoping that you just don't get shot. The sounds are too loud, and I got scared a bit the first time I got shot at.
Anyways, good game with really good graphics, good job d:
Surprisingly good Mood
Audiovisually this game is awesome, and the shooting feels great, but the gameplay left me wanting for more. It's kinda bland, like a generic shooter.
Solid gameplay, but leaves a bit more to be desired... more weapons, enemy variations. The graphics are top notch and really makes this game stand out.
Enjoyable little game. Was slightly hectic at first, but when I realized how to play it got pretty easy. The graphics are pleasant to look at, but I would have loved to see some art for all the endings :D. I also had fun trying to get some of the other endings. It's a fun game, good job d:
It's a good concept and fits the theme very well. The game definitely has potential, and it's a shame to see it being so short.
I would've preferred if the character growth was a little less... sudden? Like you would have to grab atleast 15 coins before you die. That way the puzzles could be more difficult too.
Anyways, good job with the game! d:
This game has been probably the most solid experience so far in this LD.
The graphics are gorgeous, the gameplay feels solid and original, and the sounds are well put together and fitting.
Good job d:
God, it's difficult... :D
Overall a great game, the graphics work well and the concept felt original, which I always like
Not going to lie, this is probably the best concept I've seen with "too much money".
The gameplay gets really difficult really fast, which I like. The graphics look pretty good and funny.
All in all, it's a solid small game, although the gameplay is not all that interesting. d:
I love all the different enemy types you have created, adds a lot to the whole experience. The graphics are really good and the gameplay feels tight.
Only pet peeve I had was that some of the enemies's (red wizard) shooting pattern feels random, in a game that rewards skills, it feels cheap.
Overall fun and solid experience, good job d:
Perfect sounds
The graphics are really well made, and the highlight of the game for me. I also really like how the theme is implemented here, although it doesn't make much sense, I just found it funny and it works well :D.
The core concept of the gameplay is where the game fells a bit flat since it's a very basic arcade style gameplay that you can't do much with.
All in all, it's a beautiful, although a bit basic game, good entry nevertheless!
An ambitious project for sure.
I feel like the category this game excels at is 'Mood', since it's more about the dialog and events, and I think the game had a decent pace.
The graphics were good, but quite inconsistent at times, and a fitting font would've made a big difference in the dialog.
The absense of sound in this game was a bit disappointing, since good sounds could've ramped up the 'Mood' quite a bit. Also the text scroll sound was a bit too loud.
My biggest pet peeve with this game was the distances you had to travel, and the fact that you couldn't speed up the walking speed at all (although why you couldn't came clear to me at the third day).
All in all, I enjoyed the dialog and the story of the game, and even though I wasn't able to finish it (Couldn't get the keys without failing), I still found it enjoyable experience, good job d:
The game has warm feeling to it. A lot of great writing and beautiful art.
I don't think the gameplay element of "character gets slower as you get more points" is very good, since the game gets less fun the more you play (everybody likes going fast), but the slippery controls kind of made it feel a bit better. Although the idea isn't completely unique, the game was still fun to play, good job d:
I wonder what sites has the main protagonist of this game visited... and I think those are the smallest pong paddles I've seen in a while :D
Solid experience, but sadly it's all boils down to just plain ol' boring pong. I think you could've added couple more different ad images, since there are so many infamous ads that you could've satired.
The music reminded me of early 90's PC games, which made me feel all tingly for some reason.
good job on the game d:
I think my character is a little drunk drujk.png
Small game where the drunk effect has been done very well.
Hey, thanks for your time. Apparentaly the character movement was tied to the framerate which made the second part unplayable. I fixed it in 1.0.1 if you want to try.
Spacebar should spawn the elements, and you can drag&drop them with mouse.
@Nights87 , you have to deliver the plate! d:
Thanks for playing and I'll check it
I wanted to polish the controls a bit but I really ran out of time to fine-tune the game. I also started to get good in the game by doing test runs... :D There are some "tactics" that makes it a bit easier.
I'm a sucker for typing games, so it's like a default that these kind of games are fun for me.
I found some annoyances with this one though. Sometimes the "words" would have two of the same letter which made me instinctively lose a shield/life.
I wish you could've explored some more grounds with this game, as generally all typings games feel a lot like the same, and some innovativiness could go a long way.
anyways, the game was fun to play and difficult on the hardest setting, which is always nice. Good job :D
Cool little game! I like the graphics and the game plays pretty well! It is a bit difficult though, as you mentioned. Wish you could get rocks faster, the little ones feel useless haha
Hello, I played this yesterday and found it charming. The graphics and the way how the game is built is really cute. It was quite difficult to find the correct recipes though!
Congratulations on becoming a parent!
That last level had me clinching, once it starts to lose balance it's difficult to get it back but possible, which is pretty fun! Considering what you had going along with the game development, this game is pretty amazing, and even standalone it's really fun! All the graphics, UI, and the small animations felt really fluid. Good job!
I tried for a few rounds and it's quite fun to play! It's fun after a few attempts you start to find out a strategy how to balance the platform. I had some difficulty getting the cubes to stack to 6, since sometimes they got six, and sometimes they wouldnt go above 5.
The graphics were also great, and the game played well. Well done!
Thanks for reviewing my game!
The graphics are really good and the game and physics work really well! It also fits the theme nicely. It needs some kind of incentive though, like the amount of bridges you build, or time. Good work!
That intro cutscene is pure beaty. I'm sad that you can't actually do a pop-shuvit :[
I have to say, this is the first game where I've seen someone use Powerpoint for graphics haha
A fun small game with solid gameplay, that also sounds and looks nice. Fits the theme really well too! I have some difficulties with imagining how the table is skewed and it feels really difficult to get it rebalanced after the balls start sliding. Good job on the game! My best score was 288.
Goddamn that music is absolutely banging! The gameplay is really solid as well, although I got stuck on the "Do that again!" level. I can't focus on 5 different rockets at once while jumping on platforms haha. One of the better entries I've seen so far all-around. Really great job!
Hello, I played this game yesterday just before the deadline. The game played really well, and had no signs of incompleteness (bugs, developer graphics), and the puzzles were diffult yet intriguing! It has a very clean look to it! I think this game will place quite highly, only bad note I have maybe is that the theme isn't super clear
Really good looking graphics, and the game sounded good as well! One detail I really liked was how the different ingredients had their gameplay quirks, it really made the game feel a lot more dynamic. The damn crystals would never want to spawn when I needed them the most haha. Great game!
@d094 are you trying the browser version? if so, which browser and operating system?
@d094 good to hear! thanks for the feedback! I completely forgot to add any feedback when you type right/wrong. I guess I've learned something
@yorsh haha, atleast your game doesn't have the same name as mine! I've seen multiple games with same name
Your game looks pretty cozy, I gotta try it later!
Silly crow, why doesn't they just fly up!
First of all, thanks for reviewing my game! I tried this one for a good 10 minutes yet I had problems getting past 150! At first I was thinking that the constant drum beat was a bit annoying but when I realized that the music starts to pick up when you get higher, the song was starting to turn out really good! The graphics are also cute, and I like that you can still see the cube that the crow stands on on top of the clouds haha. All in all, fun & addicting little platformer, and I hope you the best of the luck in ratings!
Very good looking game, the sprites and the animations look very neat! I personally couldn't get past the third level, as I always seemed to get stuck in one of the dead-ends. If I could recommend something, the movement could be a bit faster, since it got a bit tedious going around the map. Good job on the game, and good luck with the jam!
47.7! although my pathing was pretty bad :[
It's so short... :[ The gameplay was fun! Definetely could have used a bit more levels! Congratulations on your first entry !!
I love the little details, like astreoids and other objects blocking out the signal, and when you get stuck with no signal you cannot move. Things like these make it feel so much more dynamic and cool!
No, I can't haha it's impossible!
Congratulations on your first entry, and you finished in time as well! I was thinking of some sort of car game as well, but I felt it would have been a bit too ambitious but you pulled it off here! I could't get too far before flying into a ditch but I almost made that sharp turn after few attempts.
I like the graphics and the general feel of the game, how bouncy the car is lol. It definetely could have used some audio as well.
Good job, and good luck on the ratings!
EDIT: I did it in 1:20!
It's a good little game uvu, Could use a bit more levels though! I can already see all the dynamics in different types of level a game like this could have!
Your game also has really nice looking graphics, but it's missing sound sadly, I think it could have greatly benefitted from it.
Good job, and good luck on ratings!
A fun little game, could have a bit more variation for the tower block types. Works well and looks solid too. Good job!
Cute game! The graphics are splendid and the audio works really well too! I liked the main focus of the game of gathering ingredients and crafting weapons that way! I also liked how you implemented the boss enemy slowly inching forward, it creates interesting gameplay.
Sometimes the gathering speed could feel a bit tedious, if I had to do it three times in a row, and to brew right after that as well though.
Also I found a bug where if you started brewing, and press to gather right after, it would instantly brew black sludge into inventory.
All in all, good game, and good luck with the jam!
I'd die for Demy Thanks for reviewing my game, I found yours to be quite fun & enjoyable as well! The graphics were cute, and the gameplay was solid as a brick. I especially liked how the movement felt responsive even if the log was almost vertical, it made the gameplay feel much more better. Altough I didnt quite understand what was the purpose of the "plus" and the ice cream icon on the left, I still finished the game and got to see the secret ending! I hope you the best of luck in the ratings!
Thanks for playing my game! I tried out yours and at first I was a bit overwhled by all the tutorials, but after playing for a minute or two, it became pretty clear how the game worked, and it was fun to try to strategize a bit!
I got to level 5, and then I got a bug where one of the horses got pushed off the map after the round, and I couldn't open the stables again though.
The graphics were really well made, and the game played well. Good job on the game, and good luck with the ratings!
First of all, thanks for playing my game! Quite fun and I personally enjoyed the "unstable" mechanic here! Although people have mentioned the tooltips, I generally think you also pretty well conveyed the purpose and strengths of the towers by their look and the range that they have.
Personally I think the game is tad bit too long (100 rounds), since the average attention span for ludum dare players is about 3 minutes haha. I got to around 50 before I gave up myself.
Of course there are rooms for improvement but I assume due to time constraints they would have been difficult to implement, such as keyboard shortcuts for pausing and slowing down.
All in all, great little game for this competition, and good luck with ratings!
Argh, I was few pixels off from winning like three times! The game definetely fits the theme really well, and the gameplay feels quite unique, I love me some physics based games! Quite simple game, but fun to play for a bit, and even crashed few times haha
Good job on the game!
Congratulations on your first entry! Glad to hear you finished in time for compo. Although it is lacking in gameplay, I found the art and the music to be quite well done!
It's a dark topic, but I think you executed it rather well. I'm not sure if it was meant to be, but the difficulty was ramping up for me really fast. In the screenshots you have almost entire page full of text, but I barely got two sentences in. Also a nice to see a fellow developer with a typing game haha!
I think the audiovisual side was also well made. The game looked and sounded nice. Great job, and good luck with ratings!
I ended up reading the whole thing, since it was quite interesting where it was gonna go! The story fit the theme really well and the plot was pretty good! The art and the music also was working really well with the story and the theme. I first got a bad ending and had to skip through the whole story again to continue uwu
I can't give much tips on how to write stories, but I think you should try to use a different font for renpy, and maybe make the UI a bit more fitting for the game! Also I think the capitalization of first letter and names and I's should be consistent all across the story.
Also congratulations on your first LDJAM entry! Good luck with the ratings!
@seaslugstudios heyy, keep at it! VNs is not an easy genre for a short jam like this, and you did great! You could try to find VNs with similiar time constraints and see how they did things for inspiration!
Did my sleep demon just say "hi" to me? haha
Game looks great, and it has a great ambience and feel to it. I especially like the walking sound when your father is walking behind the door. Anyone would be unstable if their nights were like this. I also liked how the game sounded, although I think it could have used some sounds from the trees outside or other kind of ambient noise.
All in all, a great entry, I dont have much criticism to give, other than that the gameplay got a bit dull towards the end of the night, especially since it was quite easy. I hope you the best of luck, and hope you had a fun jam!
Ramps up quite fast, but I was having fun! I wonder if it's even possible to survive long enough to get all the servers. The furthest I got was to around 2000. Good little game and I think it fits the theme really well! The music was feeling like a fever dream though haha
Thanks for reviewing my game!
This is definetely one of the better implementations of the theme I've seen so far! It's quite difficult to get all the colored dots since the dots are so unstable. It was fun to mess around for a bit with it, and I even got all the colors! Just wished I could have gotten all the dots on the wheel somehow. Great job, and good luck with the ratings!
Amazing graphics!! Also a funny idea!!
Heyy great entry! The presentation looks amazing and the game works pretty well. I wonder if the written words before the end mean something with the narrative
One of my favourite entries so far! Really fun and only complain I really have is that I wish it had more, but I can't blame you for that! Love the ambience, hearing the wind in the cave and the water streaming
Interesting idea, and it fit the game well. Great little entry!
@blockerz woah, someone actually checked the source out! It was my first time creating a "procedural" level, so it's nothing terribly special. You should definately try creating some sort of 3D world soon!
Very nice presentation, and I like the message of your story! made to fit the theme really well!
I LOVE THE LIL CUTE ANTS I DONT WANNA KILL THEM 🥺🥺
@peteywoufes it was fun to make!
@nebiros Thank you very much!!
@wetburritosupreme Tubular 🤙
@blockerz i actually skate goofy foot too, I think i just made a monstrosity of a character controller. Thank you for the feedback though! Definetely would have made it a lot better if I had more time, but I spent the first day struggling with the controls and stuck with what seemed to work at least a little.
All text doesnt fit the screen and it could use some extra information about the supplies and what not! still a ambitious entry and would have liked to see a bit more of it!
Amazing graphics. The gameplay worked well too. Think your game will place high in this compo!
Didnt fully complete, as I found the doors in honeycomb stage pretty hard to open (might be framerate dependent, as im playing on 144hz) but the presentation was really nice! Loved the minigames from takeshis castle :D
The character was constantly turning right for me which was distracting, but otherwise I really enjoyed the presentation and the small minigames with fishing and cutting wood were fun! Really ambitious entry and still a solid game! Didnt quite finish, only survived for 3 minutes or so //
Quite big and ambitious game for this compo!
Amazing graphics and fun gameplay!!
Very nice graphics and the music is really good. I also enjoyed the gameplay although it was a bit difficult. Only got about 4 screens in. I would have changed the game over to something else personally for this compo. But very good game!
Good graphics and the gameplay felt fluid
First VR game that I tried and one of my favorite entries so far! Loved the little buttons and switches, but it was bit confusing at first on how to make sure it doesn\t explode (thought you would have to balance the meters somehow). Great job!
I think finding a bathroom if you're in the backrooms would be the least of your worries
Loved the graphics! The gameplay was a bit too easy, running away from the monster that is. Also could have benefited from a score or some other metric, as the gameplay seemed endless. Loved how the game closed itself after losing
Got to 102 seconds before I met my demise. Fun little game, more audio would have been cool!
Very innovative!
chrome_pGenL8JTiD.png
I somehow busted the money and was getting ridiculous amount of money haha. I really enjoyed the presentation and how big the world felt. Really well done. I wonder what was your inspiration for how the UI was designed? It felt quite 90s but in a good way
Got score of 358 and completed orders of 30! Very difficult but quite addicting and fun hehe
Graphics are very nice! Nice little game for dog people!
Got 2:30 on my best run. Very fun and good take on the theme! Good job!
aa I want to see the game in higher fidelity!! the writing was so expressive and fun to read. Good and interesting take on the theme!!
It's goooood! Autochess is defineately an ambitious idea and I think you executed it well here! I like the monty python reference too
Neat graphics!! I got to 1419 BC
Fun shooter game!
Fits well with the theme!
Smooth gameplay! Good game, I tip my hat to you fellow developer
Best music ive heard so far :P As someone who also made a city for this compo's entry, yours looks mighty impressive!
Managed to beat all the levels! It was fun and the ambience felt great in the game!
Interesting concept! Couldve used more options, some voices felt bit ambiguous
Really good entry, and funny!
Can't wait for the full version! Cute game
The animations for the dragon are beautifully done! Fun & Cute game!
Managed to get 18859 points! It was fun but at first it was little bit confusing
Managed to deliver 205 cups. Really fun! Wouldve loved to see some proper graphics!
I like how complete the game feels! having to pack the packages adds a lot to the theme and the overall feel of the game! Balancing sickness and avoiding bullets was also fun mechanic!
Cute game! Controlling both the rotation and movement made my brain explode, i got 5062 score!
Its really satisfying to wrap the item as neatly as possible! I felt the inspector wasnt utilized enough maybe
