Very nice game, I especially like the graphics and audio, and the gameplay was very fun. I really enjoyed it!
I'm sorry to ask, but I have no experience with UnrealEngine. Can this be played without having the engine on your computer? Because I can't find a .exe file inside your archive.
You click the windows download @lawrence, at least i think so
@lawrence yes like TheGamer1123211 said, you need to download the game from the game jolt site (The windownload link to the game jolt site). And there is a .exe file in the game download.
Oh, sorry! I just clicked the first link without taking a better look.
Eh, when i try download the game it downloads antoher game "war against darkness"?!?
Oh.. just realized I played your older game TheWarAgainstDarkness, looks like your link to game points to wrong file?
TheWarAgainstDarkness comment: I love turn based games. This is really good. Would love to see some AI here, but I know that would take more time than 48h. Didn't really get how chance to win is calculated as 7 vs 7 ended up 0 vs 4 at the end - would expected closer result than that. Overall - great game.
I am super sorry that I by mistake had uploaded a old game. I have how uploaded the right game, so you can try the real LD game. Again I am really sorry.
I don't see any download button or link on the page...
@11tomi12 I have fixed that now.
Very cool game, the puzzles are tricky and satisfying to solve. I also really liked the graphics, the way the little guys were walking looks really good. I did notice that if one guy enters a arrow tile with another one already in it, the second guy doesn't change direction.
Now i played the real game and it is really good. the later puzzles become hard but manageable. Good job!
@dusho in The War Against Darkness both players starts the game with the same strength, and therefor all the single fights between the warriors has a 50/50 percentage change of winning. This means that a fight (7v7) easily can end 4 vs 0 or even 7 vs 0, and I think that is okay.
And by the way I have uploaded the right game now.
Very nice graphics, simple and effective controls and fun levels that become chalenging after a while. The music isn't too distracting, which is nice.
Great puzzles! Bit poorly optimized, though.
Very nice puzzle implementation. Easy to get started, but challenges later on
The "yupie" sounds are fun and the animations are well made. Nice game, overall. Congratulations!
Very interesting game with interesting mechanics. Would have been good to explain some of the mechanisms when they first appeared but wasn't too hard to work it out. The puzzles were good. Would definitely be interested in seeming more level for this.
Cute little thing. 3D graphics were nice and the wobbly animation added lots of juice.
Hey man, I liked your entry - played to the elevator-level which I thought was pretty clever.
When people do good puzzledesign i'm always in awe. :)
The fact that you managed to make so many puzzles in such a short time is pretty amazing. I also like the yippee sound effect.
Also i would've liked it if you gave my game a rating too. Just saying XD
nice game looks and feeld very polished, respect for making such a nice game in such a short amount of time
Very fun idea. The gameplay and sound effects were very satisfying, and the graphics were cool. Very interesting level design, impressive how much detail you managed to get into the levels :)
I like the graphics and the sounds are fun :D
Great game, fun and challenging.
Great Game! I like so much your LD project.
I love your sounds makes by you I did the same on my project!
But I give you some issues that I could see.
- The music restarts when you restart the level or when you pass it and starts other.
- The elevator is complicated to see it.
Overall, Nice game and nice job!
Interesting concept, very cool game :)
_(Seems we're in the same timezone or something? Not sure how I keep running into you, even accounting for the ammounts of reviews you leave.)_
A puzzle game!
Red on yellow (instruction text) might be hard to parse for some people.
Nice 'n slow ramp-up learning curve.
Reminds me a bit of lemmings somehow. Given the sounds they make on exit, it's probably intentional.
Camera rotation-buttons could show circular arrows?
I like the extra little touches like the menu coming in late, or the extra 'no's swirling around when you fail.
Cool idea and I liked it!
I would play in this on the phone in my spare time)
Cool game, I like the gameplay. I normally dont really like puzzle games, but this one is ok
Great puzzle game, really fun to play.
Really great puzzle game. I love the aesthetics.
Nice simple puzzle game.
Woah! SUPER well done! Love the game mechanic in general. I'm so impressed that for a jam like this you had time to make the puzzles so well done and clever. Such a daunting daunting task! Love it!
nice puzzle game, fun to play. Perhaps you should keep the state of arrows when the player die/restart, it should be helpful
wow well done
Lovely puzzle with well thought out mechanics. I liked the graphics and sounds too. Good polish on the UI, I very much enjoyed the fact you can speed it up and restart very easily.
Magistral puzzles. Good job sir!
I love this entry, I love puzzle games, so this one was right in my alley. Finished it in one swoop, while some levels were trickier than others, so I would probably switch some levels around so the difficulty curve was steadily rising, but might depend on the person playing.
Sweet little puzzle game, would like to play more levels :]
@prostone It is really hard to say witch levels are harder then other levels. I have tried too have some level progression, but it is probably not perfect.
@magicdidac I agree that the music shall not restart every time you restart a level. And yes the elevators can be difficult to see.
@remco The yellow text on a red background was perhaps not the best idea, but I hope it not too bad for the colorblind. The picture on the camera buttons could have been better, but i don“t think they are too bad.
Thank you to everyone playing game and even a bigger thank you to all of you given feedback.
Noooo :) I like your game! It looks good and the machanics make sense, although not always entirely intuitive. The concept works well with the theme. Well done!
I love the puzzles, I can tell a lot of work has gone into this! Good job!
Fun little game, well done sir!
Great puzzle game albeit poorly optimized. The later levels are quite fun and challenging. I also really love the sound effects that the little men makes haha. Well done!
Great game, I really like the art and overall style.
Very nice game, I especially like the graphics and audio, and the gameplay was very fun. I really enjoyed it!
Very good game. The graphics and audio did a good job on the game. The puzzles are well designed. Well done!
after i figured out that i can turn the movement tiles after they started it was fun - maybe i missed the instruction on that - the music a little annoying - but overall is was a good puzzle game
What a great puzzle, very good idea, the "level design' is amazing, great job, one of the most original things I played !
Wow! That was great! The visuals and audio were well done throughout, the puzzles had the right level of difficulty. At first, I thought it was going to be a bit simple, but once I hit the level where you need to change the directional tiles after having started, the game really hit its stride.
nice level design, obviously you are experienced in balancing gameplay. really impressed with what you were able to accomplish.
Solid puzzle game! I think there probably should have been a "step counter" or similar, so that the player could be rewarded for finishing in a minimal number of moves. Overall, though, it was great!
Cool game! Liked it a lot! Great job.
Too laggy on my old machine, but I didn't rate it because it looks like others could play it. The guy on the first level just walks into the wall behind him when I press start. Looks nice though.
Honestly really amazing that this was produced during the compo. Very clever, polished and well balanced. I especially liked the slow introduction of new mechanics.
Really impressive work considering this was made for the Compo. I can see how you attempted to implement the theme, but I don't think it's really represented enough. I can imagine this becoming a really good puzzle game or even an educational game for teaching critical thinking or programming logic. The visuals are nice, it feels pretty polished, and it works well conceptually. Excellent work overall!
nice puzzle. good difficulty curve. good work!
Nice, simple puzzler. I'm impressed by how many levels your were able to put in with the time you had. Congrats!
Impressive, you managed to make all those puzzles in such a short amount of time. The graphics were nice too.
Piece of art this game, smart puzzle very good art is beautiful, best game of ludum dare
Superb. So many levels. Such graphics. Awesome. 5/5. Good job, I like everything about this game.
really impressive work. good idea.
Innovative concept. Great music and sfx. The graphics are decent (works well for what it is). The game doesn't seem to perform well (it's a bit laggy). Overall, the gameplay is nice with clever level design. Great work!
Really interesting game, would have liked to have had a reset button that kept the floor panels facing the way they were.
Like the person said above with the step counter, games like these(I'm thinking of Zachtronics things) seem to benefit a lot from giving people ways to compete with each other, over something like number of steps, times you rotated or maybe just time.
Really fun game, i enjoyed playing this.
Very cool to see multiple levels in and offered more then just a quick slice of the game
also like seeing other people use ue4 for there games ;)
I enjoyed the game. The water trap on the third level took me a couple of tries before I figured out what was going on, but I like that in a game. The difficulty increased well, not too quick but fast enough to get to the interesting puzzles.
Well done!
Very fun indeed. Just like what games should feel like.
Had a fun time figuring out the levels - nice and simple design. Good job! Biggest complaint would be that the music loop was noticeably short.
really good logic game, it gives a lot of fun
ps. sorry for my bad english
Digged the logics. But the music and the atmosphere is not enough. Would love some back story also, but hell, it's narrative designer speaking. Apart from all the moody stuff, really enjoyed the game. Cheers!
Nice concept for a good game. I have never seen an isometric project under UE4 - great work ++
Really nice little puzzle and interesting concept. I really had a lot of fun playing it and the fact that it's a compo game makes it even better. Congrats on your effort, keep doing more!
Very cool concept and approach to the theme. The visuals are very good and I like that I can change the camera angle. The puzzles are well built, there's a lot of work in there.
Maybe if you want the puzzles to be more challenging you could create platforms (lets call them that) that can't be rotated, and you have to get all the directions right at the beginning. But I guess that may be a bit frustrating for some people.
Overall a great game with a very good presentation. Congratulations!
Thank you to all of you who have played and rated my game. And a special thank you to all of you who have spent time leaving some feedback on my game. This has been a great LD and I hope to see a lot of you again in another LD.
