Very nice puzzle implementation. Easy to get started, but challenges later on

Very nice puzzle implementation. Easy to get started, but challenges later on
A++ Would Drunk Drive again. Very well presented!
I like the take on the theme, works really well. Would be nice with a better indicator of where you can shoot.
Really well executed idea. Felt as if the speed went up a little too quick and very quickly get overwhelmed, could have done with be a little more drawn out. The presentation was great though, from intro to menu to the gameplay itself.
@captaindreamcast Yeah, my main language is Java, so I much prefer using it for these kinds of projects. But people have a strong (rightly - after the applet debacle) aversion to java, so asking for it to be installed seems like a huge hassle for playing the game. A fully packaged project makes it so much easier to run, though it ends up quite big for a very small thing.
Also, yes, I will send you custom I-WIN lootboxes for money.
Excellent use of the theme. Very deceptive. Starts out so simple, you build a strategy, it works great... then there's simply too many colours to make it fit. Very self explanatory gameplay.
Great game!
Excellent use of the theme. Unnerving when they start following you because they're inside the noise circle. Well done!
The dude you give the slimes to could have had a slight bigger interaction radius, maybe also a highlight for the slime you interact with. But still, well executed.
That is pretty much what I imagine herding cats are like!
Neat concept! The tab complete is a very nice touch. I do wish it used the more standard actions though, like look, take,
It's a bug that study is listed in landing at the start and not ... after?
I also can't seem to go to the living room.
Very intriguing though!
What a great concept! I'd legit play with something like this for hoooours. Graphics are great, tutorial is perfect, smooth and shiny!
Got a crash after the double repell level though.
That was a trip! I think I did well on my first run, not so one the others. I enjoyed this quite a lot, very intriguing!
The sudden change in the graphics was great at making it feel like the mood changed.
Put all my money into GMECoin, now broke, would do again, A+!
Today I learn: I am a terrible auto pilot.
Very Overcooked! inspired! Great fun! I found some of the stations a little hard to click on, probably my own inaccurate click, maybe an outline around the station when hovering over it could be good?
Great implementation, would play again!
Best way to learn what dinglebops do, @slimmerburger ! Some experimentation is probably needed to work them properly :)
@retrisma The instructions were written in the last 10min, I had kinda glossed over the need to include them. I did kinda lean into some thing being learnt by experimentation though
@vedrfolnir I wish real life had a beep to say it just got harder. Unless, is that what my tinitus it???
@mborecki Best description yet!
Consider yourself ignored @the-jahn :D
@bridgeonastick Yeah, I was getting very close to the timelimit, and didn't have time for a proper tutorial. I wish I had made a screen that explain where things were though, since the player doesn't have time to figure it out before it's over.
@glenugie I only JUST added the explanations here. I would have loved to have more in the game, but I was exhausted with fighting Unity on everything and was glad just to get it shipped :)
And as far as hiring goes... at least we're not wasting good talent ;)
I love how inventory management is the real game! It's like a puzzle game but with the puzzle not being the focus. Love the different effects objects have on your inventory.
If you had told me last week that I'd be beating sexy legged letters with a poster mailer today... I'd probably say "Oh, Ludum Dare must be on!"
Wacky and fun!
Much fun. Would have appreciated more feedback when picking up and dropping cubes, and when clicking the reset. Maybe also highlight the time bonus?
Great take! Fighting the gravity, avoiding shooting the stars, the minimap, pretty neat!
Excellent game mechanic! It feels great when you get a decent momentum and slingshot yourself up!
I would have loved to be able to move around at little bit, especially when on the ground, but other than that, great!
Very polished, I like it a lot. Very angry birds but with less birds and less anger. Love the artstyle, reminds me Kommander Keen from waaay back. Handles ok, but maybe a little slow? I see the comment above me mentiones unresponsive, I agree with that.
An excellent concept! Trying to balance-not-balance the stack is more fun than it should be!
That's awesome! Really neat concept. Slamming tables out of my way is my new hobby!
Great mechanic! Really enjoyed the feel of connecting the blocks, responsive and the sounds were good.
I would have liked something to indicate some kind of progess, because I started to wonder if I was doing it right.
F for all those lost themes.
Hillarious! Also, the sound effects are precious! And the scooters!
The graphics are super cute! The execution is also nice, but the jumping was a little bit janky, and jumping towards the camera was very challanging. It'd be nice if the camera was a little bit further back, or zoomed out a little bit if the character faced the camera
Very nice! Really enjoyed this one. The marks on the bottles in addition to colours was a nice touch!
Excellent concept! A little more detail in the movement would have been good, since careful moving felt pretty difficult when having to do corners, but other than that, solid effort!
Very atmospheric game! The voice acting was a very nice touch. Would have liked to see some small tutorial hints along the way.
This one doesn't seem to work for me. I see a quick flash of something, then it turns black. Screenshots look ace though!
@ex3d0 I have now read the Note and tried it in another browser than Firefox :D Super cute, but a bit short. The scanlines are a bit heavy though. Solid idea.
@vedrfolnir Stress is what I excel at! I also word at it! Thank you, and thank you for being on the stream.
@hi7ch I guess I have a style now! Thank you for being there and feeding me and letting me arm-wave at you!
@paroxysmal Yes, it is very annoying when it gets a bit stuck. I was leaning towards making it so it would be pulled instead, but other issues prevented me from getting that far :(
@henrik-ganard I never even thought about having the box shaded as well! That would have been really cool!
@haydads Yes, I don't like the manipulation of the box either, I want to make it a dragging operation instead of a push, but ended up having UI issues when pushing to WebGL so I had to skip that unfortunately.
@milq LMMS was great! Really fun program. Took me maybe an hour to make the loop, and I'm completely musically illiterate. I think this will be my goto program for this use.
Great take on the 10s theme! Also, very dark, enjoyed!
Interesting puzzle!
I ended up just staring at the sidebar when hovering over random tiles. Maybe the combinations could show up over the tile you're hovering over instead to facilitate looking at the grid?
Good movement!
I wish the walljump back-and-forth was faster than just jumping up. Also, passing the green flags should reset the timer to 10 so you aren't guaranteed to die after them. And you can slide past the flags after you're dead. Which is also kinda cool when it happens ;)
Love the concept! Excellent use of the theme. The double jump was also a great addition, much more dynamic than if there was just the single jump.
Like the other say, can't seem to play it. The title graphics looks cool though! Like the style.
The voice sample is neat, and the graphics are pretty on point for this style game. Well done!
I have to admit, I am too slow to manage to complete Shield Maiden and Vegeance within the timelimit. But awesome idea!
Awesome little platformer! Like mentioned, it'd be a nice with a "time waste" button instead of having to jump in place.
Great entry! Very much enjoyed this game.
Great graphics and audio! But I failed to see how I was progressing, was there a goal to aim towards? There was what looked like a boss that I shot a bunch but never seemed to kill.
I love the concept! And not only is it super cool, but it ended up working really great! I wish the movement was a little less float, more ... snappy.
A cool idea! I might be a bit slow, but I never managed to figure out the relationship between the clocks, and it ended up being a random mashing until it get right :)
The graphics are really cute!
I feel like this game might be a commentary on SpaceXs launch cadence! :D Seeing the traces is also very neat .
I think I'd like to see a bit more information about the orbit, speed, and an axis for direction of thrust. But maybe that's my too many hours in KSP talking :)
Got to 45166, at that point it felt like I could never catch up to the current arrows, and it felt like I had to preempt the arrows by quite a bit. Maybe that's just me being slow though. The changing beats were a nice touch!
Love it! The graphics are endearing, the sound and music gives a nice temp, and the mechanic was neato!
I waited a good 5 minutes but no game. Shame. Bravo for taking the risk of making a multiplayer game though!
That's a great little game! Reminiscent of Enter the Gungeon. The morphing level is cool and the warnings like so! Wish the time I survived showed on the end screen, for high score purposes.
Fun little game, ended up with 142 points, the reverse movement, of course, getting me.
As others have mentioned, the screen shake was a bit heavy. The changing rules and the anticipation of what comes next was good.
Fun little game! I enjoyed that the switcharoo wasn't just left / right / up / down. Very challenging to figure out the direction changes.
Having to wait for the timer to run down is a bit of a drag, and I wish I could replay the mission I died on!
But the concept is great, and the logic is a very neat addition!
Neat concept! Though it was hard to judge which bullets you would hit. Great graphics and sound
@hi7ch @vedrfolnir ty guys for hanging out whilst making this!
Actually fun! I like the added rotation. Can be used both to speed it up, but also make it easier since you only need to move in one axis.
Loved it! Adding multiple stations over time worked really well. Fun voiceline, too!
Excellent Papers please take on the subject!
The tediousnessis real! Good execution. It got a bit confused whern I stamped with both stamps though.
I tried to play it like asteroids at first, but when I realized it wasn't, it got much more fun. Great feel!
@hi7ch thank you for keeping me company and fed through this :id:
@vedrfolnir There absolutely should have been a dinglebop trade goods, but I ran out of time to properly draw and spec the various goods :(
@lcstark Thank you for playing!
I just tested with 200 fuel and got the right win condition. I'm not entirely sure what went wrong for you
Rotation was always planned, but due to having to reimplement the way I did drag-and-drop I ended up not having time unfortunately. I think that would have brought a much needed improvement to the gameplay.
The tinted squares after putting in an upgrade isn't actually a bug per say. I just didn't have time to get the graphic in there, so reused the highlight mechanic with a different tint to indicate where they were :) But yes, also would have been an improvement to gameplay.
The shooting felt really good! The little screen shake and the bullets.
I would have liked to see some indications of which square a person / obstacle occupied. Some of the obstacles especially were hard to "read".
But super fun, and funny with the voice lines and the various shapes people take on!
Super atmospheric! I had some issues where the book would show information off-screen though
You can't not love tetris clones! Loved the different shapes, and the backstory change in mechanic.
Excellent puzzle game! Very much enjoyed the puzzles. Would have loved for conveyor belts to have remember the orientation, and to have a nice turn graphic.
This was excellent! Super cool graphics, ok music and sounds, great use of the theme. Very innovative. Much enjoyed A++
A lot of the space debris is really hard to see for me. The physics "puzzle" is fun though!
Very neat puzzle game! Something felt a bit off with the movement, can't quite put my finger on it, but it didn't feel as good as it should have.
Love the mirror effect, and the fact that the beam kills mirrors that point the wrong way!
Solid concept! Took me a little while to realize the hitbox was the circle, not the whole "ship", but very nice tension in trying to stay close, but not drift into them.
That's a super cute game! Though damn did the puzzles get hard!
Feels like a take on 2048, a game I love, combined with match 3(4-5-6). Very fun, and the graphics/theme gives in a different feel from having used just, say, numbers or gems.
The ship and asteroids wouldn't load for me :(
Great concept. It would have been nice to have the note track closer to the middle maybe? I felt the hardest thing was to keep track of there I and guards were along with what notes to play. Decent execution though!
Great concept! Love the marriage of these two genres, the card drag is also a nice touch, makes it feel more authentic. Ran into some bugs where pieces wouldn't fall all the way down and get stuck instead. Also, maybe the piece could fall faster and the card countdown be a little faster as well to speed up play.
I'm not sure I was doing it right, the humans died before I could harvest anything, maybe that was the point? Some sound effects would have improved the game, and maybe move by click on a location?
Fun concept though!
@Hi7ch @hayesmaker64 @bcvery1 Yeah, I wish I had a little more time to tweak the difficulty, but I was worried it would be too simple and let you play on "forever", I like games that come to an end.
A tutorial mode with really slow defenders and game over at BEATDOWN was planned, but I was too tired to work on it (oh hey, look, spaghetti code!)
I have come to the conclusion that wooing mermaids with things I get from the sea is not my strong suit!
Love the art style, looks simple, but moody and yet detailed.
The easy controls makes it easy to keep going.
Interesting game, love the use of midi files to allow for more levels. Maybe the point track could have had a snaking pattern or move around randomly to add a little more game feel. But very interesting game!
Another Football game! I approve ;) Fun, hard. Maybe the red players could have been a little slower. Also some times the character stop moving and I have to let go off the button and press again, weird. Still played long enough to win. Not bad!
Never did I think farming could be this dangerous! Love the danger / reward balance. And yeah, holding down to shoot would have been an improvement.
Managed 10 points at my best. The harvestable plants could have been made a little more obvious. Clean graphics!
