Love the idea, cute little sound effects and visuals! It would be a cool full game platformer. I wonder what other mechanics and level obstacles you had in mind!

Love the graphics and sound. Its a little frustrating having to stand and jump to run out of power for things to decay only to not make the jump and have to do it all over again. Great entry regardless.
Awesome little platformer! Like mentioned, it'd be a nice with a "time waste" button instead of having to jump in place.
Aww the aesthetic of this is delightful, lots of little things that make it really charming. I really appreciate that little turn thing, gives it a Paper Mario feel. Checkpoints would be appreciated, I admit one too many times I fell into a pit only to have to wait for the next battery to kick in, but that's really the only thing I can think of that I'd change.
The visuals looks great and the audio fits the game very well. The idea and mechanic for the theme is very original though it is very punishing when a player makes a mistake so having a checkpoint is very welcome.
That's extremely impressive for a compo! Great work! The game feels polished, the visuals are very nice, and so are the sfx. I didn't encounter any bugs.
Some checkpoints in the levels would be nice. The jumps above the pits are not easy (just on the edge of range and easy to fail, and the double jump only seems to work when you jump up, not sideways), so if you fail a jump somewhere far into the level, it's quite disheartening to have to do all the waiting again.
very nice platformer game, with really nice art style and characters. I really like it and also the concept. Only thing that would be nice was to have some button so you can stand still and drain your batteries, some overheating or something like that. Also hitting double jumps correctly was little bit difficult at times, but that might have been just me. Well done.
Cute and really good tutorial to unboard players. The main level seems too hard to me, i had to try it more than 10 times ! The mechanic is really interesting. It can be better if running of power can be quicker (maybe a button to overheat with a fun animation ?) and does not cut the flow with a black screen. I had a great time !
nice graphics and sound effect. nevertheless the penultimate level and the only one to have challenged me and it was 100 times too high for my taste. I hit a wall in the face when I wanted to cross it
Thic is a nice game. The graphics and sounds are really nice. What I did not like was the level with the large holes. The problem with that is that you hav to just wait a long time to get a chance to try to jump over them. Since that is coupled with a barely makeable jump, that level created a lot of frustration and I was about to quit several times. I wanted to give the game a fair chance though, so I pushed through and managed to make that level. There would have been a lot less frustration if you would give the player a faster opportunity to retry certain elements. You could accomplish that for example by checkpoints or a manual battery change (and with that the time skip). I would also have liked some more levels because the concept is fun and has a some potential :) All in all nice wirk.
Thank you all so far for your valuable feedback! To address a few issues; It is possible to "burn time" without the need to move by holding down the space bar. The double jump is not an intended feature and only possible due to the bug that the player can jump off the (partly invisible) dialogue boxes. Otherwise, I appreciate the feedback and will try to improve the level design of my submissions in the future!
Cute little game! I think it's a great compo submission complete with sounds, particle fx etc and even a tutorial. Though I think the first level with the giant gap + barrels is a bit hard haha. Apart from that, great submission!
Nice entry! O(∩_∩)O I think that making jumps that hard in a jam discourages to go through whole game and it would be nice to able to wait faster while holding space. Maybe making the waiting speed up the longer you hold space (ramping up), so instead of waiting 10 seconds it's done in 3 seconds total.
I really like the cute graphics — also continued on this page and in Itch. The tutorial is nice, although perhaps a bit redundant when you have to use the controls already to advance to the parts where it introduces them. :-)
As others have stated, the jumps can be rather challenging and need to be almost pixel-perfect, so at least in the beginning the gaps could perhaps be slightly smaller etc. Also, you could perhaps add a shortcut key for waiting a hundred years, but that's a really small thing.
Nice entry overall!
Graphics and theme are awesome! Jumping was hard, but I loved the waiting a 100 years mechanic
There's a lot to like here, but unfortunately there's a little too much holding it back for me to really recommend it. The good stuff first though! It's a very nice and charming platforming experience, it's rather simple but there's a reason it's as big of a genre as it is. The physics are a tad sluggish but nothing unbearable, and perfectly understandable for a jam context. The polish is all very well done, the NPCs, particle effects, and level transitions all really add to the experience.
A few rough things though. Obviously as people have told you the jumps are a little too tight, but you knew that already. The thing that really bothered me more than any of that was waiting for time to pass. Having to sit there holding the jump button for ~10 seconds every time I wanted to reattempt said difficult jump is more annoying than anything. I know the double jump isn't an intended feature, but maybe it should be! It's honestly really fun when you can pull it off and could add to the overall feel if it maybe took more battery power so you had to decide when the best time to use it was. Music would have been nice as well, but I'm certainly not one to talk about that and time constraints are a pain.
All in all, there's a super solid core here and I think if you wanted to keep working on this or do something similar for another jam you can totally build off of that and make something really exceptional!
really fun concept and I really like the menu screen. there were some points of frustration while waiting for the battery to go down just to fall in a pit and the movements could be tweaked a little bit. Other than that this game is great
