Neat idea and I love the look of it. It was kind of hard to determine if a bullet was going to hit my shield or me, but I don't really play a lot of bullet hells. Enjoyed it overall!
This is a pretty nice bullet hell. While gameplay is fairly simple the art and sound make it feel great. A small change I'd like to see is that instead of having all enemies right at the start, start with fewer and spawn more later (maybe every 10 seconds) to make an easier entry into the game.
Great look and style with classic gameplay, i like it
I love the level of polish on this. The pixel art is nice and it really feels like a solid, well developed game. Compo boys unite!!!
Nice! Good feel. Pretty satisfactory when the "wheel of death" is activated!! Nice visuals
Neat concept! Though it was hard to judge which bullets you would hit. Great graphics and sound
Wow nice game, the graphics are really great! Cool concept!
0/10 I couldn't win!!! But seriously, I liked the game. Very nice art, appropriate music and, of course, my favorite bullethell. Well done!
The controls felt a little sluggish to me. Your character is just a little slow to move between grid spaces, and if you try to do a bunch of movements some of the inputs will be dropped.
I regret to tell you that the best strategy, by far, seems to be to not move at all. No inputs, just sit in the middle space. Between the healing(?) and the bonus power ups every 10 seconds, you seem to be functionally immortal. I've let it go for 10 minutes now, and it's blown away my scores when I tried to actively dodge.
Nice pixel art, though. The music is also pretty good. Well-polished all around the edges.
Nice game with retro look and music to match and an interesting idea to do a bullet hell on a grid-based system. Runs very smooth and is nicely polished - I particularly liked the little zoom and score presentation when you die. It also felt pretty well balanced in terms of the amount of bullets vs. power ups etc. I think the only issue is perhaps that movement is on grid, whilst bullets are not, so it made it really difficult to judge dodging, and sometimes a bullet could maybe hit on two adjacent cells? I feel like this would still work really well if the bullets were restricted to the grid! Really nice work though.
Great game feel, along with some terrific audio. Enjoyed the main game loop as well! I'm not exactly sure what would be done about it, but if you don't move around, it seems like the game becomes a lot easier. Overall great entry though! Thanks for sharing.
Super well polished game! Loved the music and graphics, even if I'm terrible at bullethell games 😂
