Runaway Corruption by Move127 2017-12-04T03:30:19Z
Consistent art, and you weren't lying when you said the difficulty ramps up with the more tiles you own, i imagine a really good player would be amazing to watch.

Good animation on the catcher.
QWOP must have been a big inspiration, I wish i could touch type. :)
Cool concept. It's difficult to see if the spikes are all the way down, a snappier fall animation might make that more apparent. The flock doesn't centralise on the click location so it's sometimes difficult to maneuver them precisely or to navigate around the spikes but that's not a massive issue. It's very clear to me as a player what i need to do and the mechanic is scaleable.
Ditto to what i said on twitter :) Poignant.
I was thinking oh, this texture's rather pleasant, solid colour with a soft normal map on it (gimmie plz) and then thinking "this must have been hand placed so lets get it over with" and then i finished it and saw it was procedurally generated, bloody well done! The movement's a bit sluggish and i'd love to see dem player animations. Are you going to keep working on it for the jam?
@hilvon Nice, the blockages were exactly why i thought it was not procedural, i'll have to take a look at your code :p wanna learn!
IF Guitar hero randomised the colours :p
Top notch and current theme there :)
I'd love to see some hotkeys for bringing up the overlay and stuff like that. My first ludum dare too :D
Love the take you have on the theme, it's different to what i've seen so far and you've done some cool stuff with risk and reward.
Gameplay's very strategic, i'm very bad at these games.
I would love to see this fleshed out and polished, maybe you could keep working on it after the jam.
Good one for adding a volume slider too.
If Fugl had more birds and guns, The zen mode is really good, i'd love to see that expanded!
Spin to win! Really unique combat, "i like it" - as nixxiom would say.
2AM, cannot multitask right at this moment! Nice take on the theme, and lots of polish.
i'm gonna have "Bangarang, Woo" in my head for days now.... kinda wanna make that the loop in my side project.
Nice, music's kinda cool, i think it's spookier without though, the footsteps help you zone in and constantly scrolling the light gets you really engrossed in it.
Reminds me of the beginner's guide. very relate-able and knocked the theme right on the head.
I cant get the download working, have you got an alternative?
I like it! gets rather difficult and it's really tense when you're moving a large cargo and being chased simultaneously.
@kurupapuru it's the compo, you have to do it all yourself
I think this is stunning. Removing the walls made me feel really vulnerable, good work!
Good Risk vs Reward here, the collector moving about adds a little bit of strategy on when to run for it. You've embraced Pixels and applied colour theory to your art style, it's consistent and appealing to look at. I like how you get the really dense spots that can screw you over when you're going to hand in, all of a sudden you're too big to get through. Finally, it's replayable, i feel like i could do better the next time so i want to keep playing. Good job!
Love the walk animation. Feels like a classic Atari game and plays nicely I see others saying the audio's annoying but i think it's cool, it's consistent with your art. One thing i'd say is the beep when you launch is too loud.
@jeffchen I have 2 :D doesn't mean they cant be jerks some times
@jupiter-hadley Hey, i just started watching it :D Thanks for playing :)
@sintel Yup, i's got multitouch :) level 3 is really hard on mobile but level 4 is super easy.
@diegoctorguet I've been working with Mobile a lot recently so i've gotten the hang of working with touch input, just setting up the cloud build once i got the multitouch handler in (first time doing multitouch properly though) and it just built itself :P
@jeromwaarom Yeah, i think i stuck the wrong version on itch, i used the latest Unity Cloud build, which was one commit behind, i'll get round to uploading the right one eventiually. the andriod versin is also missing "Ludum Dare" in the splash screen.
@velvetlobster Oooooh, that's a good point, I'll have to test it out on an ipad. Sadly the level creation is really tedious so i'll have to address that if i continue working.
Sound's spot on. After a few goes i got it.
Theme is only one category, good on you for recognising that and making a cool game anyway, the theme is only a starting point.
I can honestly say i've never thought to throw dungeon crawling and minesweeper together, it's quirky and i like it.
It'd be nice if you could add flags to known spots and be able to block yourself from taking a spot you think is a bomb so you don't accidentally mine it. Spending a day doing an art pass on this could improve it immensely, i can see this becoming a £5 itch/stream title with the right work going into it: level diversity, audio design, powerups (as an abstract term) and some swanky graphics.
Don't drop this project, iterate and see where it goes first!
Was great chatting during the jam and the game is rather amusing :D Nice Job you two!
@enjoy-the-tale then dance baby! (Maybe not till you die irl though)
@vaizaragorn Nice :D I'm pretty sure my arrows are hating me too! Glad you liked it :dancer_tone4: :keyboard: :bangbang:
@japes you won! stay tuned if you want actual gameplay, I'll be working on this to see if i can find the fun. (asside from the fun i already found)
Glad you liked the art and music, I pulled out all the stops to make the visuals as sickeningly garish as possible! :blue_heart: :heartpulse:  :peace:
Sorry but i was unable to launch the game. I have `Python 3.6.5` installed and `pip 19.0.3`
This is the error that pip runs into when installing the requirements: `Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement qiskit-aer==0.1.1 (from qiskit==0.8.0->-r requirements.txt (line 1)) (from versions: 0.1.0) No matching distribution found for qiskit-aer==0.1.1 (from qiskit==0.8.0->-r requirements.txt (line 1))`
Note: the error when running was not having `pygame` but that's obvious as it's not getting the first one installed.
@quantumjim nope, I'm on 64 bit Win10.
I will try and have a go getting it running tomorrow after work and report back!
It could very well be an issue related to running multiple python version installs (though my environment is set to py3)
OK, potentially sorted, i had python 3.6 installed but it was the 32 bit for some reason, i've installed 3.7 64 bit because why not; Seems to be installing requirements just fine!
Hey dude. That was pretty cool and i had to work for it too! using the slash maze is a cool idea and the terrain is fancy. I Don't know much about quantum computing but i'm sure i'll get a good look at the page you provided.
(i tried to play again after my first game (pressed enter after the prompt) and got this error: ``` The island generation procedure is now beginning. The whole process should take around 30 seconds.

A fantastic take on the theme and as a result an interesting mutation of Tower Defence. Your artwork is fantastic and the king looks remarkable, the only thing letting the mood down is the lack of a soundscape.
I didn't read the instructions and I figured it out quickly so that speaks for the design work.
I would love to see what you can do with this if you take it forward and continue working on it!
Great work on implementing a Doom Raycaster in 3 days, it would be great to see you add in variable ceiling height.
I didn't realize my gun was auto and was tap shooting for a good while
I also appreciate that you didn't normalize the input so strafe running works!
Would be useful if the look sensitivity was configurable as others have said.
Well done on the jam you two, Keep making cool stuff.
I like what you've done with the coins, and the artwork is cute and has had lots of attention to detail put into it.
I think what's letting it down is the controls aren't intuitive, i was about to quit the game before i decided to press every button on my keyboard and found out you can shoot a coin, pick up the chest and jump. Sadly i dudn't get along with the controls so had to give up.
It would be fantastic if you kept working on this, iron out any bugs, i see lots of people mentioning the controls too so take a look at how you can introduce the player to your game or even think about how you can make the controls easier to use.
Keep up the great work though, as i said the artwork was fantastic!
Finished it. I get it, it's rather good :D. Sadly the rating cant change as you've had to update it but you've proven you can make a fun little game!
(I will say you ought to make the Jam build available again so people can rate the actual jam build)
I'm a fan of roguelikes (i'm not good at playing them but they have cool history), you've done the graphics justice, i love the raycast LOS, you can attack pretty much anything which is fantastic, in particular attacking the stairs! Using life in general as currency is a cool idea, i didn't expect to see necromancy come from the theme and now i feel stupid.
It's a cool lil game, Nice work.
Great idea, my time in DF made me end up with 2 fighters, 2 crafters and WAYYYY to many miners :D
If you're going to work on this further let us know!
Good job!
Medical expenses got me  2021-04-26 15_10_48-The Reverse of the Summit.png
Well executed classic mechanic. Nice job!
Is there an alternative control scheme? I don't have arrow keys :)
A lovely game :)
Motherload mixed with horror, I love that move speed is a resource.
It's a little difficult to catch the air bubbles, Sometimes it's as if they're bouncing off thin air. I'm not sure why the score stops increasing while i'm moving. Also the walls lack collision.
I'd love to have some decisions to make, if there were obstacles to avoid or other reasons not to pick up the bubbles this could be a bit more fun.
Keep up the good work.
@thegreenworm Thanks for playing. The arrow keys for sure, I use a keyboard without them so forget to add them.
I wanted the players to figure out what to do organically which it seems everyone has. I'm glad that you and the other players kept at it to figure out what the goal was.
Hi, Your itch page is landingat a 404; Did you remember to publish the game on itch?
Good use of post processing, The dash has good feedback with the trail which follows you.
The controls are a little fiddly when using a keyboard, I imagine with a controller it plays much more comfortably.
Good job!
It's a bit silly. Nice :D
I'm actually still playing, just thought i'd tab out and tell you this is fantastic!
Paint's not used all that often so it's nice to see it here. The controls are solid and the level design has all of the good things you want. I especially liked that for one of the levels i see the key as i fall in so that i know where i need to eventually get to.
The boss fight doesn't use anything the player's learned from the levels other than shooting, it would be nice to see painting and platforming being a part of the fight.
It's super risky making a programming game. You did it anyway and it's great!
I'm gonna be diving into the rest of the levels for sure! Though i might need my ortho keyboard that's got arrow keys instead of the 60% i'm on right now!
OOps, just got rid of that solution screenshot, realize it's not good to share the answer.
I managed to get down from 67 ops to 45 :D
@greg-the-egg Unroll the loops! That's brilliant :D
It Looks and sounds fantastic, sadly i'm not really sure what's going on and why i keep getting a dead end of falling immediately.
