Cool game, i like your heartbeat effect, and how it ramps up with the BPM. cool skin too!
This is great! I love the little things that make the game more immersive like the subtle screen shake. The newspaper headline at the end also made me laugh. Good job!
Love the screenshake, if the graphics were improved slightly this would be a fantastic game
Well, that story is certainly something... :D I couldn't really figure why/when the heartbeat rises (Just because enemies are alive?) but it's still fun and the game plays really nice!
Yeah I ran out of time implementing the enemy damage. But the idea was that the enemies stick to the target wall and start damaging.
Nice worms. I saved Tim. Good Game enjoyable I_Did_it.PNG
Nice entry! You had to be really fast to be able to kill the enemies in time. Loved the heartbeaat effect. Thanks for the game!
Heartbeat effect is amazing! I won on my third attempt.
Nice game! But for me, a mouse is mandatory: it's impossible to play only with a touchpad.
Hard as hell, especially in the initial moments! I liked a lot the way you convey Tim's remaining life (with the BPM and the heartbeat).
Poor Tim; let's hope nothing like this happens this time to all the non-winners of LD!
PS: Cool "worms"!
Good 'gamefeel' going on in this one!
Original and great idea! The gameplay is pretty funny and interesting
Having the heartbeat feedback is great. It makes me feel uncomfortable and stresses me out in a positive way. A little bit of screenshake would be nice and i couldnt se my mouse in the html version when i lost. And the emergency feeling might get pushed with a change of tempo or pitch in the music depending on the heart beat. We also did something with drugs but with a different approach. I really think drugs a a great subtheme fitting the ""the more you have the worse it is" Theme.
It even has a story! Fun and simple, my kind of game. Cool camera system.
That heartbeat is making me nervous. This game was a lot of fun, good job!
Good little game q bit hard but enjoyable ! I gave a bonus star for your girlfriend Worms :p
I wasn't sure exactly what was killing me for my first few tries - my instinct is to avoid the chemicals. I figured after a while I had to keep the room clear -- I guess that could have been signalled better, perhaps with a literal or more figurative "heart" somewhere that the chemicals would gravitate towards. It also felt a bit like a desert rather than an immune system. Easily fixed with a more 'red' palette swap.
Good job on the audio, it felt nice and tense as the heart rate was rising. Also, having a title screen and win / fail states... great! (Some LD games miss those out, hehe!)
The difficulty is a little too simple but the game stay fun to play. Like for the ambulance, I think it will be good to have an indicator of how close tim is near to die / how many enemy there are to kill because in your first try you die without knowing exactly why.
It was really cool. Fast, and challenging. I also love your GF's worms, haha. :)
It would have been nice if the areas in which chemicals stand to make BPM go higher would have some sort of visual indicators. But everything else is well made. Good job.
I like the worms :)
nice work, some good elements in there for sure. dying with no warning is a bit frustrating (would be good to see how close you are to game over)
What a sweet game! I love the combination of the simple shooting mechanic with these visuals. The auditive feedback is great, too. For me, the connection to the theme was a little lose, but it was fun anyways! Well done! :)
Great idea, are the red walls the heartcells? I don't think I've got it all figured out. Anyway nice little game! :)
Nice game! The controls are really responsive, and the graphics are cool! A nice detail was the building up of the music and the heartbeat, it really added some tension. It would be nice if you could see how far Tim is from dying, because it felt like the game was over for no reason.
Well done!
Nice game!
I liked the idea of having the heartbeats represent the healthbar, the audio works really well. It is a bit simple with only two spots where the chemicals attack Tim, but overall, it is nice. Congrats!
My poor Tim...he died every time! haha, fun concept, and my first time playing as an immune system. I think to improve it, it would have been cool for the spawn points to be visually obvious, also maybe arrows pointing off the screen showing where the enemies are.
I couldn't beat the game, but the controls feel nice, and the hearth beat effect is cool.
I think that the player movement is to much fast, but otherwise is a nice entry ;)
Great sound, polish, art and setting. I had a hard time figuring out what made the heartbeats go up other than just "kill all the things" - so I just killed all the things :)
I couldn't beat the game but I liked the heart beat in the background. The controls were difficult and the game did glitch a few times (getting stuck to walls). Good game but needs a bit of polish :)
It is a nice presentation. Well made. But for me too hard, or I didn't understand whom to shoot up.
the story and the universe make this game unique ! i hope you just get coffee during the jam :D
Wooo another microcosm/biology game! :D
I really liked the game. The increasing heart rate was very cool and drove the action. I couldn't figure out what triggered the weapon upgrades. Nice entry!
I wasn't reeeeally sure what was causing the heartbeat to go up (or not). Is it just when enemies remain alive for too long? I just kept mowing them down anyway and beat it on my second try. Nice little shooter!
Good one. Failed two times before figured out where the virus is heading for so I can go there beforehand to protect the spot. Would be better if there is some hint that pointing to the place that is under attack. Well done!
i was unable to beat the game (and i played it some time :D) - but i really love the controls and the heartbeat is cool.
Interesting shooter! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecGDWM6QdpE
