The "yupie" sounds are fun and the animations are well made. Nice game, overall. Congratulations!

Very cool concept. I just missed some sounds for the shovel or a background music. Overall a very interesting take on the theme.
Really great game! Congratulations! I can imagine the work needed to make that camera system, but there were times when the camera wouldn't show me on screen and I would have to gess where I was. Maybe a free camera would be better for this kind of movement? Also, great sense of humor :)
Nice graphics and music! And the game over screens are very well done! Congratulations!
Hey, very good! Very innovative and cool aesthetics. Congratulations!
And in the end my thoughts were: what the hell did I just play? xD But it's a nice game overall! Very surrealistic for me, but good anyway. My only complain is that the cats get attatched to the ballon when too far from it. Maybe they should be attatched only when their body collides with it, and not the whole model (body + cat's balloon)?
@oxrock yeah, I agree xD But I didn't had time to adjust the gameplay after incrementing the speed. Although a sprint button would be really interesting! Thanks!
@mess110 As I said to @oxrock if I had more time to adjust the gameplay, I could increase the player's speed, but I thought that if I did it and do not adjust the speed accordingly, everything could get very very very easy. (and the game is easy as it is now, xD) Thanks!
@zinkler Yeah! Or maybe make them bigger from the start and them put this effect as they get nearer. Good suggestion!
@magicdidac 1) The character speed was reported by many, it's something I'll increase, sure. 2) The guards do attract you more, but this effect is stronger in the second phase. 3) The guards are relentless! They shouldn't stop chasing you! Thanks for your feedback!
@nikchernyakov Thanks! I'm sorry but didn't understand. What do you mean by obsessive music?
@CaptainDreamcast Actually, I was watching videos about animation for some time, but this LD was the first real time I made any good enough ones :-). So what are the simptoms of that brain damage you reported? Did they stop chssing you? Thanks for your feedback!
@svr-audio Thanks for you feedback, man! I'm personally proud of it as well, although there're some things I still wanted to do and wasn't able to. =) In portuguese: Obrigado cara! Pessoalmente, estou orgulhoso dele, embora tenha algumas coisas que gostaria de ter feito mas não consegui. =) E é sempre bom achar mais pessoas do BR aqui! Abraços!
@omnipotentindie
Did you play the webgl version? In that version unfortunately the camera is a little janky indeed. For a better experience, I would advise you to play the windows version.
The player's speed will be fixed soon. Thanks for playing!
@kashif Thanks! I wanted to increase the pitch as you collected more coins in a sequence, but in the end I didn't had more time to do that.
@casper
If you are talking about the slow speed of the character, it has nothing to do with the magnets! xD
But if you get close to the guards, you'll see that as you gather more coins you'll really move towards them. This effect is more noticeable in the end of the second phase! Thanks for your feedback.
@rubn You probably felt that because the character moves too slow, right? I intend to fix that in the future. =) Thanks for your feedback!
@neontropics Thanks! As soon as I have more time I'll fix all those issues!
@jason-kennedy Thanks for your feedback! The instruction about the exit pad will be added. It's really needed. About the character floating, how was it exactly? The song was the last part I made and there wasn't enough time to make it longer =/
@jason-kennedy Yeah, it probably is that. Thanks! ^^
I'm a terrible call operator and died of starvation! Great game, great song and good take on the theme! Congratulations!
Great game! The highscore functionality is a great addition to it, makes me want to play more to increase my points. Unfortunately I've decimated an entire population with all the collisions I've created. The sounds are coherent and the overall mood is very good. I only think that the resolution could be bigger. I don't think a 16 bit aesthetic fits into this kind of game (if that was your idea). Overall a well built game with a juicy gameplay! Congratulations!
The link for the C# Unity is pointing to the source, and the link for "both files" points to a folder, where you have to find the "the game" file. Maybe it would be better to fix that.
I got stuck where the game told me there was 6 boxes left, but none of them were on the screen.
Cool idea for the theme. It fits it really well. My complain is that the black slimes start to gather really quick after little time. Maybe their spawn speed could be a little smaller. The sounds are very good and the graphics are great! Congratulations!
The skeletons remembered me of Castlevania ones. I think that the XP from each enemy could be a little bigger. You have to travel too much to kill enemies and level up. Nice game, congratulations!
Good idea and graphics. A little back music would be nice though. And man, a dreamcast build?! Awesome! xD
Very good! It's very fun and addicting. The graphics are very polished and the sound design is very easy listening. Since the background song plays throught the levels, it could start getting annoying but it didn't happen. Congratulations BR!
Hey, nice game! I took lon to understand that the green fish damaged me and that the bubbles replenished some health. Maybe a visual cue for that would be good. Overall a well built game! Congratulations.
As more enemies you attach yourself to, the harder it gets to handle the ship. Nice idea. I really enjoyed the music and sounds. Congratulations!
Nice game! Just a suggestion: the player sprite could also get scaled as you get more food (if it already gets, I'm sorry but I didn't notice it). Congratulations!
Hey, I can see that if all those problems hadn't happened, your game would be very insteresting! If you have more time and want to continue, I encourage you to do so. The ideas are there, and they only need to be implemented. Anyway, as it is now I didn't really understand what I could do. I printed as much money as I wanted and nothing happened (or I didn't noticed it). The graphics are very good and coherent. The music is soooo relaxing I could listen it on repeat for hours. Great idea and graphics. Congratulations!
I love low poly graphics and your game have very good ones!
Ludum Dare is always a great opportunity to learn (I use it for that, at least) and it can be very difficult sometimes, depending on the complexity of your idea. From what I could see, the gameplay is simple, although interesting. I can see some adjustments, tough:
- when the player reaches the mouse cursor, it starts jittering (trying to look to its own position) - I think the bullets would ricochet better if they collided with "smooth" fences, and not with their mesh collider (that's how it's happening, right? for is what it seemed to be) - sometimes, your enemy's shots hit him before they come out of the revolver (I think they could be instantiated a little farther from the barrel of the gun)
Overall, it's a well made game. Congratulations!
@shelvid Oh my eyes deceived me :P Really, great job!
Theh graphics are cool, but I think a crosshair is needed to help understando where you are looking at. Also, a background music would be good to set the mood.
Very good take on the theme! As you get more blocks, the harder it is to see around. Simple and clean. My only complaint is that it can get almost impossible to make it back sometimes. Mainly in the levels with enemies. Maybe make the field of vision a little bigger after you take all the blocks? Overall a very good and polished game. Congratulations!
I really liked the graphics! I have some suggestions, anyway:
- Maybe a background music? ^^ There are online resources that can help you with that. I used http://www.beepbox.co/ for my game and it's really easy to create anything with it.
- The pillars can occlude the player from the camera, you can get around that by using a raycast from the player to the camera. If it reaches anything before the camera, put the camera right at it.
- The UI does not adjust itself to other resolutions. Some elements aren't even showing in the screen, or get cropped. The WebGL build particularly suffers from this issue, since it is huge on my laptop screen, xD. I had to reduce the screen zoom so it could fit.
Nice game. Congratulations!
The game is interesting. Its aesthetics are coherent and the graphics are really well made. But the combination could be a little better, I think.
First, it is too dark. At the start I couldn't even see my character. The coins could have a higher light pillar, since I couldn't see any coin around me after I got 6 of them (is it the total?). Also the caracter jitters on the ground.
Overall it's very interesting and with a little more polishment could be a really very good game.
@GoZz yeah the idea was to sound like the simon game! Good to know that you thought of it! I'm terrible with UX/UI so I always end up using lots of text...
@Tygrak Thank you! I thought of making realy simple graphics because well, it's inside of a computer... and I don't know how it looks like.
@CaldwellYSR Great! It's always great to hear that someone had fun playing your game! I'm trying to improve on UX/UI but it's a long climb for me! Thank you!
@theprint Thank you! I'm polishing it as I wrote in the update. You can check it at itch.io.
