EDIT: Got it working w/ a fresh download. I like it! Venting air and dropping balast don't seem very responsive but after dropping a lot of balast early on it settles in to something that is fun to control!
Ocean bonus! A score of 998.772.608! I thought I had to collect cats, turns out I dont. Nice take on the theme!
@liz-izatt Can you make sure you've unzipped the game to a folder with only this game's project files in it? I can see the dll in the "Engine" folder of the zip and I can reproduce the error by deleting the Engine folder.
A somewhat surreal take on the theme. I felt overwhelmed by cats (even one can be a handful) but managed to reach the ocean with what looked like a huge score. The reference to the balloon's structural integrity made me smile.

Ocean BONUS! Seemed like the only way to win was to drop about half your money immediately? And venting air didn't seem to do much, but seeing that I got 999,701,888 points, I can't really complain.

During my first run I thought "Yeah, I get these many points even by dying, who cares if I get a Game Over or not?" That ocean bonus though. I wonder what the least amount of gold is you can drop and still reach the ocean. Anyway, a fun idea, I'm a sucker for cats attached to balloons.
And in the end my thoughts were: what the hell did I just play? xD But it's a nice game overall! Very surrealistic for me, but good anyway. My only complain is that the cats get attatched to the ballon when too far from it. Maybe they should be attatched only when their body collides with it, and not the whole model (body + cat's balloon)?

I didn't read the description before so I thought I was supposed to save the cats or something lol. Only realized that when my score was -100000s or something. Maybe the balloon cats should be threatening or something. Fun take on the theme!
That was really fun, great use of the theme. The hit boxes for everything were kind of wonky, but that didn't ruin my experience with it. This game is kind of addicting. Good job!

Bizarrely, there's a weird thing where when I launch your game it also launches Steam VR? If I close Steam VR it closes your game! It confused me for a moment, I thought for a second you'd made a VR game!
I think your game might benefit from some kind of indication of your buoyancy/weight ratio or something? I found it difficult, after dropping ballast or venting air, to know how _much_ I'd changed my acceleration - because my current velocity was disguising my change? That felt frustrating somehow, not sure exactly how you solve it!
First playthrough, score -873309 :) The game has a nice wacky feel to it. It doesn't seem you can control much when you have a lot of ballast which led my to just spam down alot in the beginning of a game. It's a fun idea for a game, good job!
Pirate cat in a hot air baloon with more cat pirates trying to take your cat treasure. Who would have thunk it? This is amazing/hilarious. Thanks for sharing.

Cute little game. interesting take on the theme. kind of addictive too. I found myself retrying to get a better score, keeping more gold and getting fewer cats. Well Done!

I managed to reach the ocean, but dropped most of my money in the process. I really liked the concept of the game.
I found it rather hard to avoid the cats however, because they seemed to attach to the balloon even if they didn't collide with it. I only managed to reach the ocean once, after that I tried to do it without losing much money, but found that almost impossible.
Overall it was a fun game to begin with, but it got a bit tedious after a few attempts, but I enjoyed it. Good entry.
Why do I have so many cats on my screen? It feels like they are bugs squashed on my non existent windshield
I definitely liked the concept of the game but that was pretty confusing to play! Cats? Money?? Air balloons??? Great jobs stretching the limits of reality. You might want to tame the sound effects a bit, they were a bit aggressive on the ears.
Evading the cats is one hell of a job, pretty much impossible, especially with them only spawning not too long before you actually can do something to change your direction. A funny idea though.
I escaped, but with no gold. This is because I didn't realize the bombs where the gold. Good news is I brought a lot of friends with me! It isn't much of a balloon really, more like a very lite rock skimming the surface of the mountain.

Sometimes the cat would stick to my balloon even when they were quite far from it. Also it would be nice to be able to move the camera with the mouse because sometimes the camera gets stuck in the mountain and it looks kinda weird. And lastly when you get stuck in a mountain the hurt sound goes on continuously and it's not really pleasant to the ear.
Overall the game works well and is quite fun, good job !
