Make a VR of this bruh.
And add a slow-mo too. Basically all the particles break in slow motion.

Nice game bruh. Ahh.. It's procedural. Good job on that!
Sounds are good. And artwork's nice for the game, really fits the mood.
Some improvements I could think of:
- Death animations. Currently you just get teleported. Some death sounds or something, I think, would be great.
- Maybe improve the ghosts. The ghost only walks randomly on the path. Maybe some mechanics where some of the ghost goes directly after players?
I've played your game here if you'd like to see my reaction:

good puzzle!
good puzzle and very well-polished!
Lollll funny game. Just sometimes I get stuck between boxes when I'm moving back, which made the controls a bit frustrating. Maybe a special power that blasts the boxes away?
And definitely more boooommmmm when we hit the wall would be great!
Stupid rats lol. Wish the fox could move diagonally too. Good job that you managed to implement a high score too.
Ahhh... Finally got some time to play games on Ludum Dare.. wuwu.
@spatanz Hehe, thank you!
@UekiShurei Yeah, just keeping with the juice theme where you don't destroy objects, let the players see the results of their work. Was thinking of putting other effects, but ultimately settled on using the GameEngine's physics.
@asyzruffz Thank you!
@MrNyarlathotep Hmm.. I'll say it's beat matched by hand I guess, though I've preset several levels of the Miaw speed based on the current beat of the music and play it when the music goes to that. Thanks for the suggestion too! I was thinking of different colours as well but I thought keeping them at the same colours would trick the players and make it a bit more of a challenge.
@BubsyPoochies Hehe thank you very much!
@antishow @indrkl Haha yeah, now that I think about it I should've probably added a win/loss condition. I intended it as a relaxing game where you rack up your high scores within the songs. But now that I look at it again after a few days and looking at others playing it, probably yeah.
@levubivenatus Thank you!
This is very fun!! Maybe the absorb spell ability is a bit confusing (you need to press spacebar near the enemy), but overall quite addicting.
The music and setting really sets the mood. The story's pretty confusing though, maybe I'm not thinking deep enough lol.
Here's my first impression if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajJZ7ijM_7A&feature=youtu.be
Creeped me out. That means the game did it job.
Only complaint is that the subtitle text is too small.
Played it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbgDaz8Rr5w
Art is awesome. But yeah, maybe an option to slow down the customers a bit / kind of a tutorial level would be great.
Ae faond it bit konfiuzing.
Nice art! Plays sort of like the make-burger or make-sushi games on mobile.
Some improvements I could think of:
- You could probably add a background music to kinda set the mood for the game.
- Maybe some small movements and sounds by Kak Yah and during food ordering could improve the liveliness of the game.
- I'm unsure about this, but sometimes I wait too long before I get another order, so I get bored of waiting, and suddenly 4 orders come in. But then again, I also have experience selling stuffs too and this is pretty much the exact experience I get IRL, lol.
..and this may be too much to ask for within the timeframe given, but I think being able to see the customer would be great too.
Agreed, a very decent mobile game!
Art is awesome. Music is choice is good. The battle could use some work. Maybe other than just 1 fire, the monster could've alternated attacks. Maybe 3-fire at the same time, melee, fast moves, etc.
I think your team could've come up with a very good battle if you guys only focused on 1 monster, but still overall good job.
Awesome graphics. Actually got startled for a bit when the first monster comes up, lol. Gameplay is responsive.
Hmm, but yeah needs some variety (bullets / powerups?) and some sort of objective or end game. But it's very, very polished for a Compo. Good job!
Nice puzzle. A bit confusing at first but I guess it's designed that way. The music stopped midway though, it didn't loop. Oh yeah, was a bit frustrating when I couldn't find the last candle. Maybe a bit of a hint would be great.

So relaxinggg
5 freaking stars. Just need a skip button. Everything else is on point.
Fun little puzzle game. Basically you summon by walking through the white Xs (without re-walking on it again), set the red bowls accordingly if required, and then quickly tap the buttons on the top-right side as the dance to summon.
Was hoping the battle to be more suspenseful tho, tho I only fought the easy monsters. I couldn't for the life of me pass the quick button events even at hard lol.
The initial part at the book is a bit confusing because the wizard also moves when I press left or right, plus the page totally went to the right-most page when I pressed right. I needed to press-and-release my keys quickly to reach my intended page.
Some suggestions, I think:
1. More ka-pows and ka-booms during battles
2. During the quick-time-key-presses, if you could show the time left to complete the dance would be nice.
Graphics are actually quite good.
A fun little platformer. Made me yell "shit!" a couple times lol. But yeah, the controls are a bit iffy (delays and diagonal jumps not registering as how I thought it should), but I guess other commenters have commented that. Personally, I prefer spacebar as the jump key.
Funny voice acting though, lol.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/8-DRu0vJaKo
There was no sound/music right? The animation felt a bit iffy when clicking on the enemy, but I was playing the web version though. Art is great. :)
The piano sound when you shoot is such a nice surprise. I wonder if adding a background music would enhance the game or not.
Sorry, clicking on the LudumDare40.exe file did nothing, I couldn't run the game. PC is Windows 10 version 1703 with RX480.
@NumNumDude nah dont sweat it. maybe just my graphic card kicking up a fuss for no reason.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/hlTk4RFRM0M
Reminded me of contra. Hitboxes were on point and controls were good.
The controls frustrate me though, because I can't shoot diagonally while being stationary, nor can I shoot straight upwards while moving. I'm not sure if it's by design or not.
My playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT_b0PTvl3s
Controls feel a bit clunky as in when I release the arrow keys, the guy still moves a bit. But that model is pretty good for a first time 3d model! Maybe should've made a camera view where you can see the model better.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/99aPxQMQSHc
Hmm.. a hit point bar would be great. I was at lost at how many times I can be hit that before I go down.
Audio was great and the art style actually fits the game well. Control was tight, which is good!
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/o0ZkgRdwguU
The mechanics where the instinctive thoughts automatically move towards the speech bubble was a very nice idea. You've even allowed people to accidentally choose the wrong decisions early on without it affecting the ending just so people have an idea on the mechanics. Nice!
Hard to say which parts needed improvement. It was a pleasant experience all along. Maybe a background music depicting the situation would've been nice. Say when it was pleasant, the song is peaceful. And when he starts getting panicky the song changes to fast-paced and panicky. But I guess you've already thought of that.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/cmjqbnj-Ioc (sorry no music! :( )
I didn't read the description before so I thought I was supposed to save the cats or something lol. Only realized that when my score was -100000s or something. Maybe the balloon cats should be threatening or something. Fun take on the theme!
Mistakenly put it as a compo game. Should've been a jam game. Edited.
@lynette where's your game? I couldn't find it.
Oh.. err about the theme.. err, I thought of the gameplay some time before Ludum Dare started. But to tweak my idea to fit the theme, I was supposed to make a few more levels where there are more coloured cats as bullets where each of the colours must go into each of their coloured zones, making it even harder than only having 1 or at most 2 that the game currently have now. So, uh.. yeah sorry!!
@Mashas wow you nearly pulled it off! Yea both of the yellow cats should've been inside the yellow zone (Guess that wasn't communicated clearly inside the game).
But I think there was a bug anyways in that level because another person managed to put both yellow cats in the zone but it didn't progress. That was the last level. Thank you very much for playing!

The audio was very haunting. And good job on the bot, I see that the souls tries to run away from you a little bit if you get close.
Maybe more souls would be nice, it gets boring when you're just walking around looking for souls and they're up there out of you reach. And I echo what technonugget said.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/hCw-eSVb-Rs
Dat graphics look very polished. That effect when the guy got drunk is great too. Maybe if we can shoot stronger bullets (like shotgun?) it'd be a lot more fun!
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/QgxEO555K2g
That was a fun play. If the cube gets turned over then you need to press the opposite keys is a nice touch. Though then when I'm sideways I just can't move lol. Skipping cutscenes is a must when playing a game where you're going to die/reset lots of times.
I was confused when I reached the shop at first because I didn't know I'm supposed to press spacebar. Maybe you'll understand if you watch the video.
And I see you've already mastered micro-transactions ;).
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/yIsFD9Bato0
Art's pretty good. Would probably be amplified if there's a background music playing behind.
It wasn't clear that we need to use coin to use the grenades and powers. So I was confused at first trying to right-click and pressing the spacebar but nothing happened.
And maybe a better effect when we beat down a zombie. Currently it sounds like I'm swatting flies. Each time I kill one should have a sound effect equivalent to when we use the grenade. Satisfying.
I echo other commenters' comments with the hitbox being too small. Maybe it wasn't too small, but rather because the small hitboxes were introduced too quickly. Maybe start with big hitboxes and shrink it step-by-step?
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/wkyj--0vEAo
This is awesome. How the game was pulled off felt very professional. That dramatic music REALLY made me panic haha.
It got intense pretty quickly though, so I didn't have enough time to think through the mechanics, like what coloured cats will come out with each mating combination, what is that black ribbon thingy and so on.
As for suggestions, maybe make it so that we can move things after buying them.
Edit: Yea I also got the problem where the cat died during tutorial, probably because I didn't fill the food bowl. Maybe you can look at my video and accurately pin-point why that happened. I think it's because I was too busy trying to understand the mechanics that I didn't realise I need to feed that cat again.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/fXNWLSz77GE
Gets pretty intense once you hit the 60-70 mark. Yeah a bit more variety of power-ups would be nice.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/JhNJ_6hegVE
Nothing much to say other than what the other commenters have said. When we reach the higher starred levels it felt like the boxes were laid unfairly (though I guess they can be navigated by moving mid-air). And maybe a losing animation would have been a nice touch.
My playthrough (it has 3 videos, obs decided to cut off my recording for some reason):
https://youtu.be/Ez2wKM3HMJ0
Freaking frustrating, but for some reason it's just fun. I was confused where the base is located at first even though there's the triangle arrow showing the direction early on in the game. The triangle should show the direction better. Maybe even just convert it into an arrow.
Other than that I enjoyed the game very much. Frustrating, but enjoyable.
Oh yeah, the break should be introduced earlier I feel. Would've made the early parts less frustrating, but I don't know.
Funny lol. But seems like the ending was somewhat abrupt (or was there no ending, it just immediately cut itself out?)
@yojammerjammer well this reminded me of those flash dating sims in newgrounds years ago lol, so you can probably do something like that?
Say..
0 panties dropped: Ending as a loner in front of PC with tissues
1 panties dropped: Found the love of my life
Few panties dropped: Guy in bed with few girls
Many panties dropped: Art where the guy is surrounded by lots of girls running after him
All panties dropped: The guy has transcended human girls. He goes off to space to try his lines on alien girls.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/fHHHyyvVqaA
This get all my 5s. Game is polished, gameplay is fun and entertaining and made me forget the time. Brilliant.

Wow man, this is seriously good and addicting. The game is challenging enough that it doesn't get monotonous even after playing for some time. The monster accelerating towards you and the various monster attacks were very nice touches! Movement feels very tight (which is good!). This game is awesome! It's hard to say, but the game feels very dynamic for reasons I can't quite put it exactly, but it's good!
Music choice was nice. And DAT ART. I think another thing would be different types of weapons for different situations I guess. And seems like there are no reason for the gold. Maybe you could've made, say, the bigger you are, the stronger your attacks. And maybe some life points wouldn't hurt, getting one-hit-killed is kinda painful.
My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/gJEJXYHnRks
It's a bit confusing at first. So I had to try and error and just put stuffs here and there until I understand the objective of the game. Probably better if you hand hold the players more (like, literally tell them in plain text what to do) in the early parts of the game.
Art is gorgeous. Probably took you lots of time to get it look like the way it did. The details in the retro games and also the levels of the players were nice touches. Other than that, I'm simply echoing Mashas' comment.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/Wk7iFkVU-94 Controls and shooting all feel on point! The only complaint would be sound, and maybe some sort of different type of enemies to break the monotony and force players to be on their toes and not just shoot at 'em.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/eI-0UBhhy8U
It was a bit confusing at first because it wasn't clear which picture/dimension is supposed to match with what and that I'm not supposed to click the picture if Rick's holding a bottle. Though yeah maybe you left them for the players to figure out themselves.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/3uUl8nC7_2I
The quantity / placements of the coloured asteroids was just nice for each level, even though the levels are randomly generated (?). Reflects the thought you've put into it while designing the game.
Also thanks to your stream where you explained several design choices you've made in your game and your reasonings for each of them, eg why the end part of each level are bare and only have bombs.
Probably heard this a lot, but I keep forgetting the number of asteroids I needed to collect to win, so maybe a little improvement in UI. Thank you!
My playthrough:

Sorry the video was cut a bit. Beautiful models and scenery. Bet you spent all of your time on those lol.
You've probably already thought of this, but yeah, maybe later you can add like a god-like effect when we bring down the hammer? So rather than the buildings simply get knocked down to the ground, maybe there's a hurricane effect, earthquake effect, something like that.
And lol yeah, the sound of people screaming and dying would've been pretty sick (in a good way).
My playthrough:

Nice concept for mini games. However, there are too little directions inside the game. I was at lost at the start on what to do when it's the "avoiding the card suits". I didn't realize that I need to move the small cursor on the table with my keyboard and avoid the damn things. I just lost over and over lots of time until I understood it by chance.
And I was also confused when I lost a mini game because it seemed like the game hanged, until I realized I need to drag and drop the money towards the end of the table by myself, and after that I still need to press the 'Enter' button (which wasn't indicated anywhere inside the game as well). Maybe get rid of those steps. Just make a quick animation where the money move towards the winner and just immediately move on to the next contestant.
This game needs more tutorial and handholding or else anybody who play this will be absolutely lost when they start and would probably simply close it.
Now, "avoiding the card suits" mini game was actually fun when you realize you need to move the cash around or else you can't see the suits going down. That was a nice touch.
My playthrough: https://youtu.be/qH8EaliY5Ls
And what can I say.. Amazing art. Amazing music. Amazing intro. You can pretty much post this in the Apple Store already and my nephew will play the **** out of it. Improvements on gameplay would be great, but from the looks of it I'm pretty sure you guys used most of the time on polishing the art.
