Sorry @broken-matrix We were late on getting it up! It's all up now!
We had a good laugh! And very nice use of the theme. Gj!
Good job guys. Have fun and gl in contest.
Nice game, saw one of your posts earlier so I kept the tab open while I was making my game so I could play it later... dunno if the game browser is just showing me bad games every year on purpose or if there really just isn't very many lol
I don't see a linux version on the itch.io pages. Aren't .apk files for Android?
@hillexed The PC version is PC/Linux.
That gave me waaaaay more than a few giggles! I loved this game a lot, and I played through it multiple times, but there are still so many options I didn't choose! You have acquired a fan!
Funny lol. But seems like the ending was somewhat abrupt (or was there no ending, it just immediately cut itself out?)
@miaw. Hey thanks! Unfortunately it ended abruptly as time ran out. It might need a bit of a conclusion down the track. Any suggestions?
Laughed out loud at a few of the lines. Basic visual novel stuff but good presentation and premise. Managed to get myself slapped five times first try.
@yuripiano Thank you! I had to follow you because of your awesome username.
Thanks @broken-matrix. I tried to get your game but the download didn't work for me. :(
@yojammerjammer well this reminded me of those flash dating sims in newgrounds years ago lol, so you can probably do something like that?
Say..
0 panties dropped: Ending as a loner in front of PC with tissues
1 panties dropped: Found the love of my life
Few panties dropped: Guy in bed with few girls
Many panties dropped: Art where the guy is surrounded by lots of girls running after him
All panties dropped: The guy has transcended human girls. He goes off to space to try his lines on alien girls.
I think your game did very well a lot of crucial stuff for this genre. It had great songs to set the mood, the characters were nice, I think you managed to make each of them special, the story was pretty coherent with the mood, at least for me.
Now some feedback on just a couple of things I didn't like: on the Options section, the options that are colored black were very hard to read here in windowed mode (I use a 1080p monitor). And I missed SFX, I think at least some sound for when you click buttons would make a big difference.
Congratulations!
It's kinda adorable when the protagonist actually does succeed with something OTHER than his terrible pick-up lines. XD
Very nice game overall :) Made me feel extremely sleazy but it was incredibly well-written and made me chuckle quite a few times. Loved the humor. Very cute art as well!
Congratulations!
Wish you could add the Humor category, since I got a laugh out of this.
@moonlightbomber Thanks so much! I can't believe I disabled the humor section. Eep! Fixed that up now.
Wow that’s a lot of great writing! awesome work dude.
Thank you! <3 @SaraFilipa @Wakka2 @ryusui @settings @Nillard. (and any others I missed!) I've added a humor section now if you missed that bit last time!
Oh.
Pretty well done - must have been a lot of work to do. Chuckled a lot of times, but often couldn't find the right answer. I always thought that most of the answers are inappropriate at the moment xD But maybe that's a girl-thing :3
Never laughed so hard playing a LDjam game :D I'm certainly no master of pickup-lines, (I have zero lots of them) but the... the thing was... the lines were hilarious XD
Ha, nice!
line used: 14 panties dropped: 1 reports of harrasment: 5
i am not good at pickup lines....
Nice, another visual novel! I've seen a couple around this LD. I think a fun way to expand on this would be to have context depended lines based on what you learn more about the girls. The challenge being, knowing when to step back and when to apply appropriate, flirty "non-sleazy" lines. I kinda sorta think that's what this game was going for but it's hard to get all that nuanced with a Jam game because of the time. Still, a fun play.
Far out, how did you guy come up with all of these lines? They're terrible
Actually lol'd, awesome lines and sass from the girls
Awesome writing, visuals, and the gameplay was fresh until the end. Well done.
Woo, finally got around to seeing your game. The game has a crazy has a crazy amount of writing, and really impressive to see how different each answer is. Had awesome humor, a nice meaning behind it, and the music really added to his smoothness. Awesome job!
The funniest game at this jam by far. Also one of the few games where I not only beat it, but want to go back and beat it again and again. It could use some touching up in a few places (no that's not a pickup line); I wish there was more differentiating the girls besides their hair, the volume sliders straight up disappeared when you hovered over them, and I think the apostrophe graphic is bugged? But overall, this was a fantastic experience!
Wow! This felt very complete. Great job on having so much writing and possibilities in your game! I loved the humor and the message that came with it. I played it a few times and still certain I missed a few possible dialogues or events.
The only thing that really stuck out to me was how the dialogue choices covered the girls. It would be nice to get the dialogue choices at the bottom so we can still see them, even if you had to make the text for the choices smaller.
It's great to have fun (and this game really is pretty fun if you enjoy cringe-style humor, as well as some of the *more* witty retorts by the women themselves), but it was especially pretty cool of you to flat out announce that the MC was a loser at the end, and to not glamorize it at all (I only got the Nobel Prize ending though so I don't know if the other routes end differently).
Implementation wise the art was great--I liked the varied style of the character art, and the electric organ soundtrack definitely played up the comical sleaziness of it all. There were a couple of instances where I'd click on a dialogue option and it would instantly jump to another option, or another scene altogether (I guess some routing issues) but nothing major enough to distract. Really fun game!
That was quite an interesting take on the theme.
The art and music were excellent, especially the reaction shots underscored the humor (and clueless nature of the protagonist) perfectly. The amount of polish was also impressive, including the fully fledged options-screen, title screen, and more.
The horrible lines were funny, as were the clever retorts to them. This is some of the best horrible writing I've seen this LD :)
Nice work!
>By using tripe lines, >he hopes to win all the girls. >Will he ever learn?
