Definitely the most polished game I've seen here. The sound effects could have been improved a little, as they sound flat, but the game loop is fun and you should be proud.

You had some good ideas, and the concept is funny, but broken buttons and confusing mechanics made the game frustrating to play. It was also hard to know when a tweet was sent since there was no feedback (like, say, a sound effect) to let you know a tweet was sent. This was also true of the phone. An interesting concept marred by flawed execution.
I loved this! It's a simple concept, but it works well! The music is great too. The tutorial was a bit confusingly-written, though, and it would have been better to press a key instead of waiting. That said, this was quite fun, and the graphics look great as well!
The game says "HTML5", but I don't see an HTML5 link on your itch.io page - just a Windows download. Are there other downloads available?
A funny game made funnier by your amazing screenshot captions. Who doesn't love that high quality win animation?
I loved this! Good character design, interesting mechanics, and good pixel graphics. It was also very hard, so I'm sure there's more depth to it if one doesn't die on wave two. Well done!
I don't see a linux version on the itch.io pages. Aren't .apk files for Android?
A good idea! The controls and the screen tilting is a problem, though, as others have said. The music and sound design was great - the best I've seen so far in LD40!
A good game! The graphics and mood were great, and I liked the gameplay. However, it seems the collision doesn't change if you amass lots of light. Overall, reasonably fun!
This was a lot of fun! The 2D-in-a-3D-world look suited the game well, and so did the. (I loved that the music was directional and was louder near the speakers, too!). You nailed the feeling of watching people spiral out of control.
Here's my game, if you'd like to have a look now that your game is being judged! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/conversations
I love this! You have a nice gimmick, great graphics (shaders are everything, haha), and it's a lot of fun. You should be proud!
This was hilarious! A well-executed concept that was very fun to play. The sound design was on point, and the gameplay loop was rather fun. Well done!
This was surprisingly cute and surprisingly difficult at the same time! A good idea that was well-executed. It's hard, though, and it's fun to try and make a mad dash to the end!
A great concept that was a lot of fun! The stylized graphics also looked good, and the gameplay was surprisingly challenging.
I can't play it because it's not available for non-windows platforms, but I like the background dithering!
A nice little game! The graphics were good enough; the fade transition worked well! Your dialogue sound effect was annoying, though, and it was hard to figure out what each key did. (Also, shouldn't text boxes use the W key?)
Bug: if you're flashing, you can walk right through the boss.
Overall, you should be proud that you made a game with a functioning (and cute) character! Your English was also good enough that I could understand the plot, as much as there was one. With what you learned doing this game, I'm sure you'll be able to make things that are even better in the future!
Your dash mechanic was a lot of fun to use! I also loved the graphics - MagicaVoxel was a great choice and the dungeon felt very interesting. It was hard to tell when you would die and when you wouldn't, though; dashing into an enemy might mean you're too fat to dash a second time and defeat them. Overall, though, fun!
The web version worked for me. A great idea with graphics that pulled off the idea well. I liked the various animations your character made! It's not clear how much dignity you have, though, so it's hard to get a good score. Perhaps that's realistic, though!
An interesting take on the theme - mass and force is a simple but great mechanic. Visuals were also good, but I found the music a bit lacking. It would have also been nice if there was more to the game than picking up stars. Overall, good!
Thanks for the feedback! I did put in a tutorial if one waits for a few seconds, but it looks like most people aren't getting to that point. One can press down to nod, but I should have done a better job of communicating that.
@rodel77 Funny thing; I tried hosting it on itch.io, but when I did, the game ended up suffering from mysterious glitchy effects. I took down the link because of that, but you can still play it in a browser!
@Moski Thanks for the detailed feedback! Even in real life, not knowing the language yet being forced to converse might not be very fun to some people. There could have definitely been more added, but of course in a Ludum Dare there's always the time constraints to deal with, so I'm happy enough with what Conversations became. (Glad to see that adding the confused looks paid off )
@solluxx I love how video games, as a medium, are great vehicles for creating certain feelings. Glad to see Conversations had an impact!
@igor-kingamer Wow, haha, glad to see this made an impression! Dogs must not be that different from spiders, I guess.
@thomas-higgins The fact that this felt like your experience means so much to me. I wanted to capture that feeling, and it's great to hear that you did feel that. Seriously. Thank you.
Thank you all for your feedback!
