**Fun:** Wow. That's pretty fun! :)
**Innovation:** The game's strongest aspect. Really unique gameplay! It's really creative! :D
**Theme:** Suits the theme pretty well.
**Graphics:** The graphics is pretty decent despite the fact that it is only in black & white.
**Audio:** The music decent! :)
**Humor:** Little humor.
**Mood:** There is some mood, you feel a bit intimidated when the people say bad things about you.
Overall, this game is decent. Anyone can play it. It is unique & different. It makes remembering me of the good indie games out there! :)

Wow, many peole needs to play your game. Graphs and audio are very nice, they make a great mood to your game! Maybe you consider to make the font a bit more larger to make it more readable. Great entry.
I am having problems running the html5 version, thought you might like a heads up. (Windows 7, FireFox)
I was unable to get the game to load. I tried HTML5 version and the download, both just hung on a black screen :(
I enjoyed it. It's interesting trying to balance accepting compliments and turning compliments away. The graphics aren't particularly stunning but they do a good job at communicating what is going on which I argue is more important that just looking nice.

Yeah I also noticed it. Guess I have some HTML5 issues I'm trying to find the reason why... For the moment I'll just delete the web version. My internet connection s**ks so I thought it might be the problem for me. Obviously it isn't.
@adrenalien Can you tell me your screen resolution ? The .exe file shouldn't result on a black screen... I'll try it tomorrow on different screens.
Thanks for the feedback though !

Okay so I finally figured out how to fix HTML5 version on itch.io. At least for myself. I hope it will work for everyone. Sadly the same version seems to be stuck on the loading screen on gamejolt. I have no idea why...
I really like this entry. It's nice and refreshing, and the minimalistic art style really helps it. I played it a couple times (the HTML version worked fine for me) and I found it funny how while playing it normally I could only get at most 19 compliments but by mass clicking random options I got 60.
Still, great job with this!

It definitely motivates me to improve it. Actually mass clicking shouldn't work that well  As this is my first Ludum Dare I have to check if I can improve this now, or if I have to wait until the end of the game jam.

I really enjoyed playing this game, although some more instruction would be nice. Over good use of the theme and the music is very nice, but it should loop.
Check out my game if you would like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
Very nice game, I like the sobriety of the design. The concept is fun and intelligent. Very Good Job!
Just played the itch.io version and it seemed to work for me. Really clever idea. I wish there were more responses, as they seemed to cycle around a bit frequently, but I liked the graphics and the music was nice and relaxing. Great job!

Really cool! I love the simplicity of the overall design.

The web version worked for me. A great idea with graphics that pulled off the idea well. I liked the various animations your character made! It's not clear how much dignity you have, though, so it's hard to get a good score. Perhaps that's realistic, though!

I love the art style and animations. The idea is completely unique and interesting. I was a little confused about what the lose condition is, but I enjoyed the game anyways!

I enjoyed the game overall and appreciated the simplicity of the design. I like the fact the you used the height of the actor to indicate how well you were doing. Although, to be honest, I did not realize this until after I had played through it and then read the title again.
After I had been playing for a while, I wondered if there was an end point or transition, so I started clicking through the options at random. Even so, I handled 119 compliments without understanding the height indicator, just going off the instructions before starting and the "feel" of how many I was accepting or rejecting. Perhaps a line about this gauge in the instructions would make it more apparent for someone who might overlook this detail. :p
The music and applause worked well and the overall design was smooth and well executed. I also appreciated the novel gameplay and interesting take on the theme. The only other criticism that I have is that the dialogue tends to get a little repetitive around 40-50 compliments in, but this is easily overlooked considering the short development time. Keep up the great work and I hope to see more from you in the future!
Wonderful minimalist aesthetics and a very creative use of the theme! I will say that the HTML5 version didn't quite fit in my window unless I zoomed out - might want to tweak that a bit in the itch.io settings/CSS, if possible.

@drekler Totally missed the height indicator! I played through many times and did not notice. Some kind of gauge would really help. The fact that it gets faster and faster already gets the blood pumping, but having an objective ("I'm too full of myself, need to go in the other direction!") would really help in getting further into the game. Great design and wonderful concept!
Extremely clever and the art style is phenomenal!

Thanks for your feedback everyone ! I'll carefully remember your advices for future improvements. Especially the height indicator (and lose conditions). I think it's because of a line of code I modified before sharing it. Like I said it was impossible to get that high. By the way, when the character is growing it is supposed to symbolically look like an "I". haha, aside done.
I really like how the browser version blends seamlessly with the itch.io page, so this gets a 5 in the graphics department..

I really enjoyed this one! Loved the clean and elegant style and the translation of the theme into a simple mechanic. Small entry, but extremely polished, with very good taste for graphics and music. Congrats!
Alright, nice game! I like the idea, and the audio/art is fine! However, the gameplay seems uncontrollable. I have no idea how close I am to losing in either direction, and I don't really like some of the responses to some of the questions. What on earth does "Tengo Yankee" mean?! I can definitely see the theme playing in though.

Nice graphics, very good simple game
Nice little game, but I really enjoyed the art style and the way the theme and the mood plays into it. Sometimes the responses weren't 100% obvious if they were 'accept' or 'reject', but maybe that's all part of the challenge :)

Nice simple game. Only got back screens with the downloaded version but the html5 version worked. Text was hard to read sometimes (font and contrast to the background played their part in that) but it was fun.
I find this experiment interesting. Graphically it is eye catching despite the simplicity. I didn't really get the gameplay thought, at first I thought that I needed to balance between inflating my ego and playing it down, but there isn't a real indicator for game over, besides the actor's height. It isn't really clear and I'm not sure if it is a design choice or not.
But besides this, I really liked it! It is an interesting little game. A little touch that I like is how the flowers remain on the floor between sessions.

Simple but very stylish!
Cool interpretation of the theme! I really love the artwork, i'm a sucker for that kind of pixelart :P Great stuff!
Liked the humor in this. Nice one!

Like the game. It looks good that you have the same color of background on game page and inside the game. It makes me feel the experience more deep :) Sound fits perfectly and I like, that the game is minimalistic. Cause don't put a lot of stuff and choose only necessary things and polish them is good ability. Congratulations and good luck :)
p.s forgot to mention, that game theme has a meaning and background, so it's also a huge proposal.
Impeccable music and graphics. However, got confused whether there where side effects of growing egos except that the character went higher and higher and the game ended with no sign? Need more timely feedbacks on my actions and more solid gameplay.

I guess statements and answers are randomly paired, because some outcomes make really little sense ^^" on the other side, I really like the concept and I think that with a bit more time for writing this could turn into a pretty nice concept piece :)
This is a really clever game! I think a lot about how to receive complements, and what you shouldn't do is just deflect all nice things, because it's a gift to the person paying the complement if you actually receive it. But of course if you just say yes, yes I'm great all the time, that's obnoxious. I think this game reflects that well with a great concept and presentation. Congrats-- "You did great!"
This is a great little game where the graphics are enough and actually have cohesive style. I was able to handle 52 complements and then I just got carried away with all that flattery. Interesting choice of music and I liked the way how it detected my attempt at clicking my way throw this game mindlessly. Well done!

Nicely found link with the theme! Unique gameplay as well - toggling between all the the options was cool. Mixing it up a bit more would have been great, like sometimes put in some things you should never say, or combos for extra applause. Or boos :)
All in all, lovely unique game.
Pretty interesting! The execution could have been a tad better I think -- some of the dialogue comes out of left field a bit. But overall this was still enjoyable :)
