This gave me a nice little feeling of Christmas! I like that you can change the buttons and it feels pretty smooth to play. Though i couldn't beat the game becouse i could'nt give anyone anymore coins and still had 20(because i got hit :D). Would be nice if they turn back to beeing poor a little it faster. Neat graphics and approach on the theme.

Oh this was super cute. Very nice job, I enjoyed it! I was expecting some hardcore platformer, but instead I got good feelings. Thanks!

This was surprisingly cute and surprisingly difficult at the same time! A good idea that was well-executed. It's hard, though, and it's fun to try and make a mad dash to the end!

Graphics are fantastic, character design is wonderful, and the controls feel really, really nice. Thank you for going the extra mile and adding the ability to change the controls. But my favorite is the overall idea. Emptying your wallet and dodging coins trying to make up for a terrible life is just a gem of a concept. Hope you do keep going with this!

How sweet. I like it!

We got down to 16 coins... Beautiful pixel art!

This game was great! My only issue was that the default mapping to the shift key constantly caused Windows to pull up sticky keys.

Very nice game! I love the concept of avoiding coins and giving them to others since it's very counter to what most games do. Graphics and audio were great and it felt like a nice complete little game.

Simple and very well done artstyle. Smooth and clean. I agree the atmosphere fits with christmas  The game is chalenging and to my opinion, it could be easely implemented into a bigger game as a mini game. There's some inspiration to dig up here. Nice work !

Simple but fun game with increasing difficulty. Took me some trials until I managed to empty all of Scrooge's pocket. :) Graphic, sound and music match really good with each other giving me the atmosphere of Christmas. I also like the idea that after spending all your coins on one cat it becomes your "enemy" since you don't want to pick them up again. Moreover, small things such as the animated snow in the menu, the loading screen and the countdown made the game felt more complete to me.

All in all a well polished game with a nice simple mechanic. Good job!

Ridiculously cute and polished. The audio in particular did a great job of accentuating the action without becoming drag over my few sessions.

moski 2017-12-07 18:25

Wait, if I throw them enough money they become rich enough to throw it back, where does the money end? Eh, better not to think this too much.

Thanks for the short-yet-charming experience. The pixel art was top notch, and the whole structure of the game - visual, audio, polish and theme wise - worked in perfect harmony. Just throwing money around felt satisfying, and some areas were cleverly placed for a satisfying platforming action. Heck, I'm even more surprised that the game had options for remapping every button. You don't see that often, and that ended up being very useful. More people should implement this on their games.

I had a very good time with Scrooge. Such a nice cat. Anyhow. [In behalf of our team](https://twitter.com/WhalesAndGames), we're looking forward to your next games. Cheers! :whale:

Very nice pixel art and game feel, the platforming is very nice and the bounce on the people it's just perfect. I liked how you approached the theme and the overal sensation of the game. Great job and merry xmas! :D

very cute

adsilcott 2017-12-07 23:05

Really cute and fun little platformer with a nice twist! Seeing the cats smile was very satisfying, although I don't know why they turned grey afterward. Great work!

Loved this cute little game! It becomes a bit too chaotic with everyone throwing coins back at you at the end, haha - but so much fun :)

retrospecter 2017-12-10 02:17

Cute little game. the visuals and sound effects really made it come together.

lamossus 2017-12-20 17:52

It's a great game but isn't it against the rules to change your game before ludum dare ends?

just checked, it is "Certain Bug Fixes are allowed. You can’t add new features, but if something broke or didn’t work correctly as you were finishing up, you can fix this after the deadline. You are asked to highlight the changes you make in your submission (a short change log). You probably wont get a 2nd chance with some players, but at least it wont be a problem for future players."

clayzulah 2017-12-20 18:14

@lamossus Right, this isn't supposed to be taking the place of the original jam version - I still have a link to that version on the itch.io page. Could definitely make it more prominent. Thanks for pointing this out!

edit: Added a link to the original jam version onto this page as well.

youbestrong 2017-12-21 19:08

Excellent work on your game!! I loved the visuals and audios! It's a really cute and fun game! I only played the original jam build but I'll definitely check out the final build later tonight. At first I didn't notice there was a third step to the other cats wealth, or that I had to spend all my coins, and that made the level a lot harder than I initially made it out to be.

Cute game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 40 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktW2lunXI_s
