Well, for 11 years old, this is pretty impressive. However, I think you should've made the intro sequence skippable,Game Over sequence is too long. And the controls are a little janky, when the player rotates, the controls became VERY funky. The camera is also a little weird, it's not awful, its just, kinda strange. Overall, this game does have its problems, but it still is a game. I'm sorry for the negative review, but I the game just isn't MY cup of tea. Anyway, keep making games and, more importantly, keep learning.

Sorry, I think the magicavoxel models had really thin collision areas so the physics was really glitch
You don't have to apologize, after all, you're just 11 years old! Using UNITY ENGINE. Even I don't know that engine well. Just IMAGINE what it would be like had I made my game using Unity, an engine I don't understand. It would be a disaster. But, like I said, keep learning and improving your game development skills. :)

Ok, Thankyou

Well done @Game-coder28 another Ludum Dare under your belt, a fantastic effort and another game in 48 hours!!! HUGE EFFORT. Boom.
I WISH this is what I was doing when I was 11. This game was excellent! Warning to @game-coder28-dad , my game contains some profanity in case your child decides to play it :-) Play it with caution.
One thing that really bugged me is the fact that the controls aren't related to the cameras view. If the cube is upside down the controls are reversed. This is relatively easy to fix.
This game is really cool, especially since you're 11 years old. Well done!

Ok Thankyou.
Good job, kid! I see you used camera lerping or smoothdamp stuff. I don't really remember how to do that.

Thankyou @pyrotheflamy, I used lerping for the vinette and the camera jittering multiplier aswell. I will play your game now, I love your

I am 4 years older than you and somehow you are better at coding than me, hopefully, I shall master blender one day and upgrade my graphics to the games I make.
Tips:- Make the physics of the game a little more realistic. Please add different skins for SPIKE!!!

Ok, Will do
Thanks! I just uploaded a last-minute enhanced version while the jam's still going. Redownload if you want to see it! :o I don't know how to change my name, bluh.
the fact that you managed to do appearing text logic is pretty impressive for a kid your age. Hope you are not trolling. If you really are 11 years old - great job! (Make the gameo ver sequence faster, I thought the game stopped responding for a moment)

I am 11 years old, and also where the game over thing happens I did have it so the background came forward but when you died to near the lava, the lava stopped part of the background showing, so I created a last minute shader to make it render infront of everything, But thankyou for your feedback

This is an awesome game, i like the cutscenes, and the gameplay is a bit janky, but when it works it's super fun! Love it :D i especially love the menu, its so good :)

Thankyou, I was meaning to add a skip button to the cutscene but it messed up the variables used to control it, also i was meaning to add a smoothing to the movement but I ran out of time to add it :worried:

It's still really really great, :D, also i was wondering, will you reveal the source code? its ok if you won't, i just want to see how some of the things were done :)

@dimaswift - can confirm. 11 years old (he scares me)
@game-coder28-dad I can't even begin to imagine what he will be capable of with this amount of dedication and skill at this age. Wow

Congratulations! I played your game and early on in my experience it seemed a little glitchy (spacebar not working properly) but the more I played it, the more I was able to overcome issues. Like, I guess the little green plants were something I wanted to avoid, which I didn't know at first, but once I learned to avoid those, that helped.
The fact that you have a shop and it works is amazing! You probably know this, but when you buy something in the shop, it falls through your shopping basket. But, it purchases the item. So, I bought three items. The last item I bought - the headstart - I'm not sure if it registered as me buying the thing, or if that one worked or whatever. But, I also bought the super jump, and boy that was a super jump!!! I jumped the wrong way, and actually ended up ON TOP of the LAVA WALL, which was funny.
But, it's pretty cool. You've created a game that you can play, and gather some coins, and then buy upgrades, and play again, and potentially improve. And it's 3D! Impressive.

Thankyou, The Shopping Basket thing Is Just A Visual And When You Click Buy It Gives You the Item, The Reason The Items Fall Out Is Because The Basket Has Too Thin Of A Collider, So Next Time I Will Make The Model Thicker

That's pretty cool how much features you added into this game. Not bad for an 11 year old. Although in Ludum dare, it doesn't matter what age, gender, etc, the main point is great games. You did a really good job here though, solid entry for LD. Keep up the good work!

My playthrough:
https://youtu.be/QgxEO555K2g
That was a fun play. If the cube gets turned over then you need to press the opposite keys is a nice touch. Though then when I'm sideways I just can't move lol. Skipping cutscenes is a must when playing a game where you're going to die/reset lots of times.
I was confused when I reached the shop at first because I didn't know I'm supposed to press spacebar. Maybe you'll understand if you watch the video.
And I see you've already mastered micro-transactions ;).
Great work! The intro could be a bit shorter or skippable, but it's not that bad. Had some with those big jumps. Keep making games! Congratulations!
