Cute little game

Very innovative, but I couldn't quite figure out how to cast spells!

Had some trouble to figure out how to cast spells and what bowls are for, but I managed to summon some monsters anyways! Nice graphics.

was hard in the first time. and i only summond easy monsters. But then i got the flow and it was fun:) Great game

I think there must be similar concept but I really like this one.

quetzakol 2016-12-14 10:29

I love the graphics, very clean and the monsters are well designed :) Seems quite innovative too, although I couldn't figure out what I had to do to invoke the demons :/ I managed to have the first one, but not the others as I was too slow (to do what ? the symbol was complete as well as the bowls...)

With more explanations I think it could have been very fun ! Nice work !

Really cool and original idea, this game has great potential

It looks good, but I don't understand how to summon :(

miaw 2016-12-20 13:59

Fun little puzzle game. Basically you summon by walking through the white Xs (without re-walking on it again), set the red bowls accordingly if required, and then quickly tap the buttons on the top-right side as the dance to summon.

Was hoping the battle to be more suspenseful tho, tho I only fought the easy monsters. I couldn't for the life of me pass the quick button events even at hard lol.

The initial part at the book is a bit confusing because the wizard also moves when I press left or right, plus the page totally went to the right-most page when I pressed right. I needed to press-and-release my keys quickly to reach my intended page.

Some suggestions, I think:
1. More ka-pows and ka-booms during battles
2. During the quick-time-key-presses, if you could show the time left to complete the dance would be nice.

Graphics are actually quite good.

I love the idea here, but the bowls seem to be very buggy, as is the summon select screen (pushing right sent me directly to the last summon each time). The time limit on the later dances were pretty harsh too. You've got some great stuff in here though!

The basic idea is good, but the summoning mechanic should be explained better and the combat system more elaborated. Like each monster should be like a boos with it's own way to be beaten.

romandtom 2016-12-20 17:37

Couldn't play, the controlls just to confusing

romandtom 2016-12-20 17:52

when it's dance time I just spam all the buttons randomly, it always works ;)
nice game, I think it would be much more fun if it had level mechanism and ofc a lil more work on the graphics,

urbanhelsing 2016-12-20 20:34

Like the art-style, gameplay might be lacking. The enemies are quite easy, not sure if they do any damage? Would be nice to able to shoot in more directions than just up.

Really neat concept! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/Wd_0kXhgUR8

Very interesting graphics and style, also a very different gameplay idea. I think the quick button things a bit too fast for a noob like me :)

mike-cullingham 2016-12-26 20:50

Interesting idea, but the control scheme frustrated me and I couldn't figure out how to fill all the bowls.

handoharken 2016-12-30 22:50

Great concept that fits the theme, lots of potential to this idea and also a badass name for a game in my opinion :)

Nice spell casting mechanic. Liked that you had to plan how you would create the shapes and then the button presses. The book of spells was also a nice touch to see how the demons looked.
