The goal when I started was to make it in the style of super meat boy. I guess I didn't have enough time to really test the level difficulty by the end. Thanks for playing!

The goal when I started was to make it in the style of super meat boy. I guess I didn't have enough time to really test the level difficulty by the end. Thanks for playing!
Thanks for the advice :) I had a much larger (cooler, easier) level I designed, but the respawn system has a bug, so I had to whip this one up on short notice. I learned to bugtest on more realistic level sizes in future.
You can definitely tell your strength lies in Art, that's not a bad thing! There were a few bugs in the code, and the gameplay felt a little lackluster, however the game world, and ideas were pretty decent. I would say you spent too much time on the art, when you could have put some more work making it feel nicer
Wasn't that keen on it. The controls need a lot of work, but the important thing is you completed a game in 48 hours! Good work!
Not exactly sure what I was doing, or how it influenced the gameplay, although I liked that you could place things :)
I totally misunderstood the point of this game, and kept losing.
Quite a fun little game, I can see how it can become addictive trying to get the highest score. I don't think it quite fits in with theme though.
Graphics are really cool. Give it a sort of kiddish feel. I did find the controls somewhat hard. Really though the camera needed work. I felt like I was fighting against it the whole time.
I found the controls very hard to get used to, but I loved the art style and music. It certainly fit in with the theme very well! I recorded a few minutes of playthrough here: http://youtu.be/XlvomEfIB3A
Graphics were good, but Gameplay wasn't great, Totally doesn't fit in with the theme, and collision detection is beyond awful.
You got something out though, so don't think I'm slagging your game off, just providing feedback!
It was a neat little game, I agree that you should have put keyboard controls in. Using LibGdx and Box2D in a short time would be pretty hard I think. If you want it porting to Android let me know :) I'm sure you could do that yourself though :P
Interesting gameplay. I felt quite evil and competitive doing this.
Thanks! I had a hard time getting the colours/speed right, and I was aiming for a Conway esque feel :-)
Thank you for all the responses. It's cool hearing about people's experiences in it!
I'm very sorry my title text wasn't clear on what was what, For the record - Red = Lions, Brown = Gazelle.
Interesting gameplay. Not many multiplayer games on Ludum Dare. The physics are interesting.
It has an interesting execution. I found it a little confusing, but maybe I just didn't read the instructions properly. I thought the planets could have used some variety, maybe using procedrual mapping would be a good thing?
I absolutely loved this game. I thought the story was quite well done, as was the gameplay. I got a CTD after a while though.
This game is impossible! :P But quite fun!
It was a very cool idea. But I had difficulty understanding exactly what was going on. Good try though, maybe I'm just dumb :P
Hilarious, You delivered. What more can I say.
Voice acting is awesome. Controls are simple and easy to use.. Music is great, but could grate after a while.
Love the graphcis & story.
The controls were nice and simple, easy to pick up. It wasn't always easy to tell your health, but the idea was nice.
Loved the retro sounds though. Nice job!
I like the lighting, but the movement physics weren't that great. Probably just me sucking at it though =p
Really good. Tons of levels and quite well done gameplay. Action replay feature is a nice touch and reminds me of Super Meat Boy
The idea was fun, but it's a bit buggy and frustrating
Quite an interesting game. Can't say I knew what was going on, but I love the idea behind the development.
It bugged out on me a little and I fell through the world. Other than that, it was pretty cool to play!
That was pretty good! Even if I have no idea what I did!
Wow, pretty difficult when the triangle comes in. But I loved the mechanics!
Pretty intense. Had me on the edge of my seat at times :p
There's minimal everything in this game. Including minimal gameplay!
The shape mechanic was pretty good, but you were right about the game being buggy. I randomly respawned at the top of the level and breezed through. No audio either, feels like it should have some.
Not sure if it was intentional or not, but I like the idea of shooting the enemies to get rid of the annoying sound they collectively make up :P
I died at the zombies :-( But I loved the storytelling, the regression mechanic, and the creepy font.
Very binding of isaac! Very good.
Had trouble understanding what exactly I needed to do (Even with reading the instructions)
It was quite fun, although it got repetitive quite quickly. I was a bit disappointed you could only attack in two directions where the enemies could attack in a full range. Good work though!
It was...... nice.
I like memory games like this, although it seemed a little bland
Fun game, agreed about the difference between normal and impossible being too great, but the main character is so cute! <3
Spent a bit longer than I thought I should playing this :P
Maybe as a future idea have the beats timed to some background music? So you add to the music while playing.
Really nice game. Feels complete.
Frustrating, but fun!
Interesting game, but It felt like nothing I did had any effect. I read through the instructions a few times, but I was still left quite confused.
This definitely hit the theme. While a little difficult to visualize where you were, I find it did add to the gameplay, even if it got annoying at times.
Its looks remind me of a good ol' console. Makes me feel like I'm in a film about "hacking" :P
Seems like a fun idea, but I seem to suck at it quite a lot!
Great game! I love how you have to discover certain mechanics
I really liked that. It was so difficult, but brilliant. The story telling was a nice touch.
It was interesting...
Quite a fun game. Feels like the difficulty curve goes in the wrong direction, Starts off quite hard, with lots of ground to cover, and then gets easier as more blocks are taken up.
Love it. I just want more levels!
Cute, but I didn't really understand what was going on.
I had no idea what was going on if I'm honest.
Interesting controls! I found it a little too easy though
Wow. I felt awful playing this. Well done.
The mechanics at its core are pretty good, Frankly I'm quite sad you didn't manage to make more levels. Something could definitely have been done with this!
Audio cut off after a short time, and the jumping physics were a little awkward, but it was a good game all in all!
I love it, but the platforming physics were awkward. I really love lighting in games, and you did it really well.
Interesting concept, but the gameplay wasn't too great. Quite difficult to figure out how to hit the fly, or if the fly hit you. And the animations looked somewhat off.
Simple, and fun. But the generator can sometimes generate impossible levels. Also, maybe when the crate is at the green spot you should generate a new level?
Quite interesting. I gave up after the third branch, is there more of a point to it, or is that it? Either way, it felt quite zen.
Wow. So difficult, but so fun.
Pretty fun! Although I had trouble timing my jumps, but that's the case in all 3D platformers. I see some inspiration from antichamber
Scared the everloving shit out of me. Well done.
It's a bog standard platformer. Not amazing, not terrible!
Pretty cool!
Really cute game. The soundtrack can get annoying after a while, as the gameplay can get repetitive. Great job for a first LD though!
It's a good idea. Definitely hits the theme
I had no idea what I was doing :P
Barely worked for me. Very easy to crash it.
Dayum it's laggy! But looks like it could be really good fun otherwise.
The gameplay starts to grate a little before you get to the challenging gameplay. You can easily hold down click to swat flies and just flail the mouse around. It's a fun game though, and I like the art :)
Rock hard, and that's in a good way! I love it
Really love the mechanics!
It's fun, basic. But very much meets the theme. I like it!
Level design leaves a lot to be desired. A restart button, and keyboard controls would really help.
I love the movement mechanics, and I feel like there's tons of content. Definitely a game I can spend quite a bit of time on.
Good game. Far too much dialog!
Interesting, but the physics of hitting seemed a little off.
Wow this is really good. The only complaint I have is that the mouse sensitivity is too high. That's it! Really fun!
So difficult, but good! Reminds me of the original gameboy games.
5 stars all around. I absolutely love this game! Played all the way to the end, and of the 43 games i've played so far, this is my favorite!
Fractals are nice, but they're not a game!
Fun, but a bit easy.
It has a lot of potential, but seemed lacking in its execution.
I couldn't find the evil guy, and the first time I played it I got an instant game over. I like how the colours follow your path though
The UI could have done with some work. I know it was supposed to be minimal, but it was hard to discern between what you interacted with, and what you couldn't.
It wasn't a particularly fun game, but it was very pretty.
Total Bit.Trip.Runner styling :P A bit simple, but fun.
Good game. Simple and fun. It took me 8 potatoes before I realised.
Feels a bit slow, and I think the princess was bugged, she wouldn't come when I called (hehe)
Too laggy to play properly, not sure if it was part of the style but made timing jumps basically impossible. I don't exactly have a bad computer either.
Fun game. Love the 3D effect the asteroids give.
Thanks for he feedback everyone! Greatly appreciated.
I originally wanted to put in a difficulty mode. There's one that just gives you every possible item. Even I couldn't complete it. Never had time to reliably implement though
Thanks for the feedback! I want to look into the slider issue. It works fine on the 2 test devices I have, but I've recieved multiple reports.
Funny thing, the display reading 88, flashing 12, going blank or random is actually a feature. I wanted it to seem like you broke the display by cutting a wire.
It is procedurally generated. In the sense that a seed determines the order you need to do certain actions (and which actions are available). Try the multiplayer, as it makes it a bit more transparent :)
You finished a game! Be proud of that :)
A really neat idea!
Needs a windows executable, rather than making everyone download pygame.
Nice FoW implementation, quite difficult, I'd often run into a zombie I couldn't see, cool graphics.
Probably not the intention, but I got a laugh out of watching the zombies hump the wall :P
I love puzzle games like this, really cool.
Web version was really difficult to control, it was like my mouse wasn't centered properly or something.
Runs quite badly, and it's strange how everything moves when you move/jump, but an interesting idea. Alarm scared the crap out of me when it came on!
Interesting concept, but even with the instructions I felt a little lost as to what to do at any given moment. still quite an interesting game
Difficult, but really fun!
Love the lighting engine! Shame it runs a bit poorly :(
Great writing, but I don't quite get the theme
This is really fun!
Really fun + challenging. Only complain is that the enemies spawn don't reset
I have no idea what's going on! It had some cool art though haha
Really pretty, the jump felt a little floaty, but I probably just suck at it :p
This game seems pretty interesting, lagged like hell on my PC though, was barely playable.
Wow, that's a heck of an accomplishment to make in a short time!
Seems like I only really scratched the surface in the short time I played.
Wow, really nice! It's pretty difficult, but in a good way.
Interesting game! Really, really pretty.
Cool idea, but it seemed as though my cursor was lagging really badly on the web version.
As others have said, massive papers please vibe.
You can feel that's it's unfinished, but it's an interesting idea! Upgrade mechanics in games are cool.
Audio was really nice. Unique art style. I confessed, then got a game over
Difficult, but quite rewarding! Powerups are a cool idea!
No foot detection for jumping, so I can soar into the sky, or jump after falling off a platform.
Seems quite unfinished, and the level is quite monotonous.
Doesn't run :(
Really frustrating, I could never seem to place the cube in the right place, or sometimes I couldn't pick him up.
First pool of acid, I put the cube in, jumped over the acid, then couldn't get the cube out.
I felt like I should be able to throw the cube, but couldn't
Unable to run due to missing mono.dll
Some strange hit detection as mentioned earlier, but great work! :D
Well written, and pretty depressing, good job!
Can't get it to run
Pretty gory, challenging! Why couldn't I jump on the orange blocks? Got stuck on a bit due to that.
Great work! :D
Pretty neat little game! I love those kinds of games where you don't exactly have direct control. Needs online high scores ;)
Game runs smoothly, but as @TEddyNashor mentioned, it's quite annoying that the entire game shuts down when you die.
Good game though :)
Really, really hard, but great graphics, amazing audio, and is really polished.
Finished with 1 second left! http://puu.sh/8u0cP.png Awesome game, make an endless mode :)
Got pretty boring after a while, but nice art style! Can you get past level 1?
Cool mechanic, but that bird tweeting really gets on your nerves after a while haha
I found it quite easy, but unique game!
Wow this is amazing!
pretty difficult, but a neat concept
Love the mechanic, but it seems as though I couldn't get into the vent. I just kept dying. Shame!
wat
Kind of portal-like. The voice over was pretty quiet, and I didn't have much of an idea what my abilities did, but it seemed really cool.
Graphics were pretty nice, but the enemies didn't hurt me! And the players walking animation seemed to be broken.
It got a bit boring after a while, but the mechanics felt nice. There were flying fishies!
High score - 6800ish. Interesting take on the flappy genre.
I get the feeling of Minesweeper meets Watership down
I'm not sure if the levels were randomly generated, but I seemed to be stuck from the start. Pretty much a single corridor that ended. Music was good, art was nice. Reminded me of the old windows screensaver
The UI is a bit clunky, but the graphics and sound are nice!
I killed everyone :( 10/10
Cool puzzle game! Reminds me a bit of Pipe dream
It's pretty buggy, but seems nice. Very pretty!
Pretty awesome, really difficult! Great graphics
Such a cute space whale! I like it, although it's a bit slow paced
The graphics seem to be blatantly ripped from Minecraft, but good try!
Completed it! Was pretty awesome.
You got the theme down! But it was quite frustrating how some of the fishies couldn't be caught
Difficult, but kinda fun. I'm a big fan of penguins and this made me sad :( 8/10
Really cool. I got stuck in a wall, but really nice.
Really good puzzle game!
My first LD was based on Metagun's code, so I have a bit of a soft-spot for this. I'm a bit upset that you didn't change much at all though. The enemy AI is the same and the graphics are pretty similar.
I hope next LD you can code something with more of your own code in it! :)
Really unique graphics. Difficult game.
I'm awful at it, but it's pretty nice! Really great atmosphere
Interesting mechanic, but I didn't seem to get anywhere.
Congrats at your first LD! It seemed to go nowhere after I clicked "continue forward". Shame!
Cool game, it's a little easy to just keep going though!
Interesting idea, a shame you couldn't do more with it
You need help. 9/10
Loved this, completed it. Maybe a little too easy once you understand the mechanics, but really nice.
Really nice puzzle game!
Wow it's gorgeous! Really fun, and super polished. How did you make this in such a short time frame?!
Difficult! Or I'm just really bad at it. Bloody gorgeous though
Crashes after I press A :(
Nice gameplay, really unique
The graphics were really cool, and although I wasn't a fan of the audio, It reminded me of older games about space.
It was relatively well-written too. Nice work!
Good graphics, really nice sound! AI is quite simple, and I'm really bad at the game :P
Cool graphical style, but seems pretty difficult. Could you jump? I seemed to get stuck pretty easily
Pretty tough with a trackpad, but nice concept!
Looks gorgeous!
Gameplay is a little lacking, but good job for your first LD :)
Pretty awesome!
Oh wow, I love it!
Oh my god
Really tough! But a decent concept
Sorry about the invisible walls Sunflower! I could only have small areas around each gate, as everything had to fit in one scene :(
I had plans for Music and Audio, but sadly ran out of time before I could implement it
TBH it's penguins so I can't complain
Cute game! I love the little story it tells as you're playing it, and the graphic when you crush the little guys is awful :(
What did I just play
Controls are really difficult, but I really love the concept! Reminds me a lot of super hexagon, in a good way! I wish you could use say, buttons to instantly change shapes, that'd remove some of the frustration of rapidly tapping space, then slightly overshooting
Good idea for the main mechanic! A bit annoying that you can't run+jump at the same time though! You also turned SUPER slow
Love it! Pretty difficult, and I liked absorbing the bullets!
Interesting idea! I got stuck early on, but there's a lot of potential there!
No idea why, but I had major framerate issues on the web build.
Really good graphics + sound, gameplay was nice, I'm not one for waiting around too much, but I did have the option to take chances too which was great!
Rock hard! But not bad
Really nice! Reminds me of Monument Valley :)
Thanks Gamepopper! Sorry about the bugs.
I think one of the problems with a mechanic like this is that it creates a wide variety of problems, I spent an entire day bugfixing, and that clearly wasn't enough! I am considering expanding on it though, I'll post updates if/when I do :)
I got stuck on a point+click adventure style-screen, the popups at the beginning of the game could be a screen themselves, but the gameplay did seem pretty interesting, art was okay!
Pretty good! I loved the graphics change when you ran/stomped!
I love it! The Triangle is a bit overpowered! Managed to beat the boss with it :)
Good first game! It was pretty fun! Difficult, or maybe I'm just bad at it :P
Nice thing you did with the walls being different per "thing" you were :)
Not my kind of game really, but it had decent depth, and looked pretty good! Audio got repetitive after a while.
I was also really bad at it :P
I wish there was more gameplay, but a great mechanic, and good graphics!
Great fun! Controls were nice! Sometimes I seemed to jump REALLY high though?
Music was the boss!
Really beautiful! The cow made me laugh!
The realm shifting looks really cool!
"Part One" backwards? :P
Awesome game, really like it!
Pretty good! Graphics + Audio were decent!
I really enjoyed this game, works really well with my touchscreen laptop! should consider to port on touch screen devices -itsandrea
I have to say that I'm an artist and always hated math, but this game is so interesting and have really nice mechanics, also really like the back story :P -itsandrea
Aww really miss those days! I like that you use snake as ancient technology -itsandrea
I really like the setting and environment, maybe I'd add some ambient light like really dark blue, probably is a bit too dark. A nice touch adding cars, seems like that your game lives. Also the dialog is fairly simple but effective
-itsandrea
Nice platform, really love that sense of humor
-itsandrea
@nitroix thanks for the feedback, the original plan was to make a simple texture for the sand, but due to time I change it to a procedural texture! -itsandrea
@anudin probably you were go to a environment mesh, I was really in rush and forget about them, also WebGl version is bit buggy so I might fix that soon -itsandrea
@catchthefloaty camera code is from scratch, what was bad? -itsandrea
@olkeencole Thanks! Yeah, the WebGl version is really buggy and incomplete, I'll try that later!
@jeremyfa Yeah, that's the point we're going for, we let you know if we want to continue with the project! Any suggestion for future versions are welcome -itsandrea
@kyyninen The location is based on last puzzle you've completed, should be 4 puzzle places and a final building, yeah the map is about 5km so you could get lost easily but for every corner there's a building -itsandrea
@wilsk Just go around and press buttons basically, sorry to hear about that, hopefully we'll fix that later, we were really in rush
@nervous.composers just resta\rasst
@nervous.composers *Just restart the game if you want complete the puzzle, we were so in rush and checked all the situation :( -itsandrea
@DraKlaW Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah, we will consider other things to make the travel between puzzles more comfortable. Probably you should go anywhere else, it take like 1-2 minutes to go to another puzzle from your location, (green button means that you have completed that puzzle), yeah also on the windows build the shadows are completely back, due to some scripts, but we might work on that later. -itsandrea
Looks, good, good controls! Pretty difficult, and I like the music
I think I broke it, half way through the projects went away, the game locked up and the screen went slightly darker for a while like there was something supposed to appear, after rampant clicking it lightened up again and I tried to survive on weekly projects but couldn't.
Good variety of weapons! I didn't seem to have a health bar though, and it was a bit easy. Loved the graphics.
A bit confusing to figure out what does what, and I died really quickly, but it was pretty fun!
Really satisfying to play!
Interesting game, very maze-like. The enemy model was really nice!
Solid entry, basic but fun. Interesting mechanics, needs a score, because numbers are good and making numbers higher is better!
Difficult! But I think it could be pretty interesting
Awesome! Another great game from you. super innovative
Interesting concept, if the united selected better (selection area not including health bar perhaps) and provided a little more feedback (like letting you know you told them to attack) it would feel a million times better to play.
The rotation point made the game very hard to play, interesting game though, liking the generation. tip: mash the space bar.
Funnier than I think I gave credit for. Interesting submission but gets old fast.
Fun game! Difficulty curve seems to go in reverse, and the game gets easier over time. I love the upgrade style games
Very innovative, but I couldn't quite figure out how to cast spells!
Gets hard quickly, but fun mechanic! The shielded enemies are really difficult
