My internet died, almost didn't make it, but it came back during EXTENDED TIME oh yeah!, so yeah, this is Defend my Planet. It was made with libGDX and Box2D. It looks a bit like my last LD game... I gotta vary more.

A tiny game but fun, sometimes a bit impossible to hit all enemies

I'm afraid I don't have Windows. Good luck, though, and congrats!

Would've been easier to play with keyboard support, but still a nice game.

I saved the planet yay!

It was a neat little game, I agree that you should have put keyboard controls in. Using LibGdx and Box2D in a short time would be pretty hard I think. If you want it porting to Android let me know :) I'm sure you could do that yourself though :P

Decent concept, doesn't control very well though. Definitely wouldn't want to play it on a touch device. At one point I'm pretty sure it became impossible, not sure if that was intentional or not... I liked that the art style was simple, and my fiancee and I thought the story was funny. (Not sure if it was supposed to be) Good job. :)

Tough! Wanted to see more of the story. Nice work!

Thanks to everyone for all the concepts so far!

Would like to state that game is not impossible and it has an ending! :D

Nice little game! I especially liked the difficulty progression and the controls were nice and simple too!

jfransham 2012-04-30 18:57

very very obviously made for android, because it was absolute hell to use on a laptop

mildmojo 2012-05-02 04:50

I got through to the end, but I agree it would've helped to have a multitouch interface for setting the attack point and moving around the planet. Or maybe you could've added keys for rotating around the planet and left the mouse for aiming?

I had the most success by sitting near the sides of the planet and setting my attack points before moving.

Very, very fun, top marks for that. I think the graphics are very cute as well!

Awesome.

Controls are a little flaky though. Could use some music.
