LD26 — Minimalism

Loki by francoisvn 2013-04-30T06:56:00

Thank you for the feedback. We cannot reproduce the error, but we have uploaded a new windows build that could work better, and we are looking at improving it.

Loki by francoisvn 2013-05-02T07:48:00

@Beldarak: Sorry about the unreachable enemy, we know there is a chance that that happens, but we didn't have the time to prevent it.

@Dietrich Epp: Sorry about the badly packaged Linux build. The builds were really a last minute thing, and we should have spent more time on them. The library suffixes are from HaXe NME and we don't really have any control over them, but I do agree that it is at least a bit confusing. There is a flash backend, but large portions of our code would need to be re-written to run in reasonable time with flash.

We are very sorry about the running problems. We would really like to fix them, but we can't reproduce the problems on any machines we have access to, so we don't really know how to fix them. In the future we will definitely make sure we dedicate some time to this (and eventually submit our fixes upstream).

Thank you to everyone who tried to get the game running, we do appreciate it.

Loki by francoisvn 2013-05-02T12:32:00

I have uploaded a new Windows build which hopefully fixes the issues people have been having. If not, then I am pretty much at a loss for what to do. Hopefully in the future we can resolve this.

The Linux build has also been updated to not extract everything to the current folder.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

devoid by Jake Coxon 2014-08-25T02:08:00

Very smooth game, I like the visual style.

Outer Body by vanZeben 2014-08-25T03:50:00

For some reason it's not working for me on Linux. Throws exception: "javax.sound.sampled.LineUnavailableException: line with format PCM_SIGNED 44100.0 Hz, 16 bit, stereo, 4 bytes/frame, little-endian not supported."

Circular Logic by Benn 2014-08-25T02:03:00

Really interesting idea. Difficult to get your head around. I'd love to try a version where the whole world rotates so your gravity is always downwards.

Worlds of Men by kdunee 2014-08-25T18:36:00

Very nice, I played for quite some time. My only complaint would be that it felt unintuitive that I had completely protected some planets, but I still lost because some outer planets got hit. Also, it needs some sort of high score :)

Neon Highway by francoisvn 2014-08-25T19:22:00

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone :)

Constellation by nxT 2014-08-25T12:26:00

Interesting concept. Would have liked to know how much a connection would cost before doing it. Also, cancelling connections after starting them would be nice. Finally, some more transparency on the mechanics might also be good.

I think it could be really cool to build up a space trading empire this way.

Helps the bunny! by Namide 2014-08-25T12:31:00

Very coll concept. Would like liked to have instant restart on deaths and more levels :)

Yume by Nananas 2014-08-25T12:41:00

Really good! I only wish there was more.

ERB by Romko Pidstryhach 2014-08-25T13:19:00

Didn't work for me on Linux, even though I definitely have Flash player installed :(

Exolink by stimpact 2014-08-25T18:15:00

Nice game. I liked the simplicity of the system, and it worked pretty smoothly. I would have preferred to see more UI improvements to help convey some of the information more quickly.

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-08-25T12:56:00

Nice game, but no source?

World Portals by Keevinw 2014-08-25T12:59:00

Fun little game, but no source?

DrOpLeTs by nicso 2014-08-26T10:46:00

Nice little game. Source is missing it seems

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Gravity by Pinpickle 2015-04-22T22:53:00

Interesting idea. I think the core design issue is that it kinda starts easy and then gets progressively more difficult if you make any mistakes, i.e. a downwards spiral. Maybe if moving around was more fun and you had to from the start it would be better. I'd like to see where you take this :)

KNIGHTS of the TURNTABLE by Pomb 2015-04-22T21:50:00

Great jam game. Needs more audience puke.

Adventures in Spacetime! by TheFuntastic 2015-04-22T22:33:00

Great game. Nice aesthetic and I really like the design elegance and depth.

I found the controls a bit off though - it was difficult to move slowly and carefully, and carrying the block around was also a bit awkward.

Love the easter egg :)

Follow Me by Eduardo 2015-04-22T23:00:00

Interesting little concept. Really creepy how everyone looks at you. Would love to see more depth to it, perhaps some level mechanics?

PaperBeatsTyranny by Sébastien Bernery 2015-05-11T00:00:00

Interesting idea, but a bit frustrating to have to juggle the glue and posters.

Lunar Combat by Nuclear Mosquito 2015-04-22T21:45:00

Interesting little game :)

Can confirm Linux port worked for me.

Cluster Mine by creative630 2015-04-22T21:40:00

Interesting little game. Reminds me of Osmos :)

The Mighty Writer. by Miltage 2015-04-22T22:13:00

Nice game. I would like to see a version that's shorter (more damage might help) and gives you incentive to write some extra story, perhaps by showing everything at the end and having the option to share it.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Streamline by francoisvn 2015-12-15T21:17:00

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone :)

The levels are hand-made. If you double-click on a level number you'll open the editor, but beware: it wasn't made for outside consumption ;)

Streamline by francoisvn 2015-12-20T11:18:00

For those that want more Streamline: I have released a new post-jam build with infinite procedurally-generated levels. Follow the link above and access infinite mode: exit to the menu (top-left button) and select the last level.

Streamline by francoisvn 2016-01-05T09:16:00

Thank you for all the kind words and great feedback. I'm busy working on updates to Streamline when I have time; there's already an updated post-jam version with procedurally-generated levels, and there should be more new features coming soon. Follow me on twitter (@francoisvn) or my itch.io page (http://francoisvn.itch.io/streamline) for the latest updates

UPSQUID by 01010111 2015-12-17T21:32:00

Great game. I think my only issue is that you didn't call it "Upwell" ;P

Octopodes by jward 2015-12-14T23:58:00

Nice level of polish. I wish I could get further, but it was also surprisingly difficult. The system of going back a level when out of lives works well, but it's still quite difficult to progress, at least for me :)

Wargrow by Mixer 2015-12-14T23:51:00

Flying beanstalk!!!!!!! :)

Harmony Bloom by Bensonance 2015-12-15T23:10:00

Pretty cool, reminded me of Sword & Sworcery in style and pacing. It took me a moment or two to figure out how to play, but once I figured it (I think!) it was quite a relaxing experience. I did get a little confused with the bird cursor and its shadow - I kinda expected the character to walk to stand on the shadow

AB race by davidB 2015-12-17T23:26:00

Nice and simple. Well executed :)

Drill Fight by VladRusu 2015-12-17T20:16:00

Um... why do you play as a man beating up a woman?

Longbeard by Joe Williamson 2015-12-18T00:11:00

I want moar! :)

Plant Designer by RafaelOliveira 2015-12-15T00:06:00

Really interesting. Was a bit difficult to figure out which direction a corner would go. Maybe orientate all the blocks the same way? I'd love to see some obstacles you have to grow around.

BOOST by Tuism 2015-12-15T23:40:00

Cool! It feels really juicy and rewarding to keep moving upwards. The little warning signs are a nice touch. I would have preferred using left/right to A/D, but maybe that's just me ;)

Bellows by TaylorAnderson 2015-12-18T00:29:00

Great little game, but a bit too hard

Griffin Card by uheartbeast 2015-12-18T00:03:00

I'd love to see a mobile version of this. I wonder if the penalty for going "over" is perhaps too much at later levels, but that can always be tweaked later :)

Infinite Tower by Eduardo 2015-12-15T00:36:00

Very elegant. Took a moment or two to figure out some blocks are invulnerable. Would like to try a version where I can control side movement, but that would be a very different game.

The Days of Christmas by Sam Twidale 2015-12-15T00:01:00

Cool concept, I'd like to see it taken a bit further :)

Barber Chop by AngrySquirrels 2015-12-15T00:25:00

Really tight. Remind me to never go to your barber ;P

Notwell by Squidcor 2015-12-14T23:41:00

Great arcade feeling. I feel like a liberated triangle now. Hope you getwell soon :)

Below the belt by kill0u 2015-12-17T20:12:00

Cool idea. Seems like you forgot to include the source code (a compo requirement) :)

stutter step by Evgenii Petrov 2015-12-17T23:33:00

Really cool. The "auto-pickup rotating through your weapons" thing felt a bit uncomfortable, but it wasn't terrible. If you make this a little bit deeper I think it would work really well as a pickup-n-play mobile game :)

Stardust by Charzendat 2015-12-20T23:11:00

I made a star :)

LD35 — Shapeshift

2ShiftDrift by 01010111 2016-05-07T00:34:00

Nice! Really juicy :)

Soko Match by francoisvn 2016-04-21T18:42:00

@Freank: thanks for the offer! I'm very happy for you to feature Soko Match in any video, but unfortunately I won't have the time to create and maintain a game page on your site, at least while Soko Match is in such an early experimental phase. Sorry!

Soko Match by francoisvn 2016-05-10T13:35:00

Thanks for all the great feedback everyone! I have some plans to come back to this game in the future and I'll post something here to let everyone know :)

I'm Scree! by Jimjam 2016-05-06T23:10:00

Fun little game. It was difficult to play on a laptop trackpad, but still doable. Just a random idea, but what if you had different tentacles and some of them attracted the scientists because they're curious, and then you can set up traps to catch them all?

LD38 — A Small World

Tiny Politics by francoisvn 2017-04-24T20:57:52Z

Just updated with the final jam version. Mostly just fixed some bugs and added some content. It should be much more difficult to get to year 21 (but not impossible). Enjoy!

LD49 — Unstable

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-14T00:08:38Z

Excellent little game! I'd love a bit more time for the minigames

Droppy Blocky by blacksheepza 2021-10-05T23:46:28Z

Nice! Difficult though - I only managed 4m after quite a few tries. I wanted to use left/right keys and I would be keen to see sub-meter accuracy (one time I had blocks piled up diagonally).

Trauma by AdamCYounis 2021-10-14T01:20:18Z

Amazing lovely game. The puzzle mechanics are tied into the narrative so well, a small masterpiece :)

Among Monolyths by Dekajoo 2021-10-15T02:35:33Z

Amazing little puzzle game. A masterstroke of design. One change I'd make is clicking on the ground to move there

The Lesser Evil by Jon Topielski 2021-10-14T00:24:23Z

Top notch jam game! :D

UNDERLOD by Rory Kaufmann 2021-10-14T00:01:10Z

I felt like it borrows too heavily from SNKRX to be a fair comparison to other jam games. To hear you've worked on it for a month is a bit disappointing and doesn't feel like the spirit of the jam :'(

HexFall by GAME_RS 2021-10-13T23:51:49Z

Nice small game. It feels like a puzzle game, but once you've seen the solution there's a lot of difficulty in the execution phase, which can be a bit frustrating. That's currently okay cause the levels are mostly short and sweet. I think if you could make the execution easier and less focused on dexterity, or add some sort of safety net (like undo), you could add more mechanics and/or make the levels longer :)

LD52 — Harvest

Cat Farm Panic ! by Yvanor 2023-01-23T21:57:19Z

A fun little game! Lots of instructions at the start - I struggle to remember them all. Once I got playing it was fine though. I liked the different minigames you had to juggle :)

Aquaculture by quadtree 2023-01-23T21:11:19Z

It's an interesting concept! It felt like I didn't get much feedback whether things were working or not for a while, and once they were working it took a little while for them to finish.

Maize Runner by miltage 2023-01-13T10:59:21Z

Fun runner! I really like how nice it looks. I found it a bit tough to outrun the harvester

Subnuggets by unless games 2023-01-23T21:46:18Z

Love the art style and theming! I wasn't sure how to return home and get more air - I tried going back inside the diving bell and it didn't help :'(

tomato harvester by dimesto52 2023-01-24T15:03:59Z

It's a fun little interaction. I would have enjoyed some more nuance to the core loop, like maybe you eventually need to plant new plants cause the old withers. And maybe some aspect of waiting for time to pass and the plants to grow. Well done :)

Squirrelativity by cassowary 2023-01-13T11:40:10Z

Interesting puzzle mechanic I haven't seen before :)

Harvey D. Bones by Flying Dog Fish 2023-01-23T22:37:28Z

Pretty cool! Feels like pac-man in some ways. I would have liked the cats to be bigger and look a bit better. I enjoyed running away from the cthulu, but eventually I got into a pattern that meant I was very safe. Would have been cool to have something like the super pill from pac-man

Soul Garden by Gossian 2023-01-23T21:37:28Z

The idea is pretty cool. Clearly an indictment of the US medical wasteland ;) It felt a bit weird for the movement to be on a grid (I think). I ended up camping outside the hospital door, just ducking away quickly to get energy, so something to change that up would be good

Drake's Fortune by chompdev 2023-01-23T23:13:17Z

Very fun little game! It had a good difficulty curve at the start, but then it tends to get a bit easy if you hang back and just use ranged attack. The red archers are a nice challenge, but I only saw them once. Would have been keen for more :)

Planetary Planter by MidoriMelody 2023-01-23T22:31:52Z

Great start. I liked when the one got up and I had to catch them. Would have been cool to see more change as the time went on :)

Stonks: The Video Game by Flokami 2023-01-23T22:17:53Z

Fun little core of a game. Feels like it's mostly about memorizing what the options do and then just making sure your karma stay > 0.

Disorder by Zykra 2023-01-23T21:21:38Z

Initially I found it quite fun. Novel idea. It then started to feel a bit repetitive. I think the changes in mechanics were spaced out too far, I almost stopped playing before I saw some. The last few % can be annoying to get.

CornEscape - Don't get harvested. by edinspiegel 2023-01-23T21:29:41Z

The intro cinematic was great! It felt like it was mostly about running and trying to dodge the mice - attacking them just slows you down. I guess go figure for a corn cob!

Wheat Reaper by oleg20111511 2023-01-23T22:01:45Z

Fun idea for the intro. I really wanted to click to speed up or advance the text though. Would have liked to see something change after a while :)

Xenith by Richard Vollebregt 2023-01-23T22:04:41Z

Nice core! I would have appreciated a better indicator of ship health. Also wanted some variety after a while

Happy Farm by Dmitry_K 2023-01-23T22:46:16Z

Novel take on the clicker game. It felt a bit slow at the start though. Well done :)

Don't Stop The Beet by Wrong Timeline 2023-01-23T22:23:17Z

Nice rhythm game! I found it a little bit unforgiving and unsure about timing. I really liked the carrot :)

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-07T22:59:13Z

Very cute! I like that I can pull them into submission, but that's not an efficient way to play. Kinda wanna be able to sit and play this on my phone :)

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-09T13:39:07Z

Really good! Nice scope and well polished. The animals are safe :)

Suggestions: - I would love to see a progress indicator, even as simple as: encounter X of Y - The dice should fill up from the front and stay there, cause you can't change their order (it seems)

Tiny Apple by DocGeraud 2024-10-11T11:52:34Z

Love the aesthetic, both the visuals and the audio! Nicely done :)

Waddle by grizeldi 2024-10-09T13:15:41Z

Fund little game, very cute ducklings! I wanted to speed up the execution sometimes, and it would have been nice to drag around the world or pan when your mouse is on the edge of the screen.

There's a bug in the screenshot level where it gets stuck Screenshot_2024-10-09_15-13-36.png

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-09T14:00:43Z

Great idea, I enjoyed it :)

I think it would be good if there was a reason why you need to make the fleas work as a group. As it stands you can basically do the level for each flea you need, without considering the other fleas: like if you need 20, then do it 20 times as one flea and ignore the others

Meep Mayhem by Kristian Kurktchiev 2024-10-07T23:41:14Z

I tried the web build but I think it isn't working properly for me (Firefox). Felt like most of the UI didn't respond like I expected it would :/ Sorry I can't give more useful feedback :'(

Slimeow Game by Quan Ran 2024-10-08T00:08:41Z

Super polished little game! Quite a nicely balanced loop. Well done :)

ANTventure Time by Dywanix 2024-10-07T23:31:31Z

Overall a fun little clicker with some interesting twists!

A few issues: Some of the important parts of the game are cropped of for me in the web embed on this site :/ The itch page worked better. The music seems to stop looping at some point. It took me a while to figure out how all the UI worked

Tiny Trails by Custodi 2024-10-09T13:51:06Z

Nice! I wanted to play more :) I didn't hear any audio?

Crabs on the Island by Ydindamin 2024-10-07T23:49:01Z

Interesting idea! I struggled to figure out how to play, but there are some cool concepts here

The way to the eggs by Gaudy 2024-10-07T23:09:57Z

It took me a while to figure out how to do your parasite ability. Once I did it was interesting :)

LD58 — Collector

Bone Collector by Antti Haavikko 2025-10-07T10:32:42Z

Really cool! Well scoped. Only complaints are that I often struggled to travel (maybe give travel more options to pick from), and I didn't realize my inventory space was limited.

TCG Star by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2025-10-07T10:40:59Z

Very polished core mechanic, but I felt myself wanting more about a little while
