Nice Entry! I am already hooked
You have managed to pack so many nice mechanics with the idea of letting tiny creature behind
What's the point of the Ram ? I don't get it. I have some glitches while selecting who to let go when starving making it difficult to see the energy value.
I feel that you can't really do anything against getting damage every enemy, as you need several dice roll to defeat it and there is nothing (bare one creature) to play defense.
Overall an extraordinary entry, I felt engaged directly, lost the first game and played a second round. Sadly to short.
Having other mechanisms like reroll and hand size could be nice if you wanted to add stuff in the future (I think I am thinking balatro Mixed with yatzee)

Such a cool artstyle, I can't believe this was done by one person in just two days!

This game is just great, I love its style and mechanics so much that I want to replay it all the time

@kitagav he developed the entire game live, recording is available. It's hard to believe that all this was done in two days, but it's a fact!)
Very very good! All I missed was some chill ambient music, but gameplay, art-style, polish, all impressive!

What a fun deck (dice) builder! Fantastic work!
If you could do this in two days, I can't imagine how nice it will be with more time, good job!
I like this one! Fun little strategy/chance game. Well done.
Very good submission! As people have mentioned, this being done in 48 hours is quite an accomplishment! Good time saving strategies were used in the development for sure!

LOL the guilt on not picking the rabbit at the start. Incredible work! humbling for sure

Really fun!
just WOW
dicey dungeons, cult of the lamb, slay the spire. this is such a great fusion of all of these games. the vibes are haunting, the gameplay is satisfying and interesting.
no notes. this is the best game I've played so far

Seriously a great game. Didn't even feel like a Jam entry. The gameplay was fun and simple and little sound effects made the experience even better!
I don't even think if I have any criticism, but maybe I wouldnt give animals types like "Common" or "Uncommon" because this makes you kind of prioritize without thinking and just blindly picking the highest option. But that's just a little game design thing. Overall really cool concept and most importantly - FUN!
2024-10-07 12:15
Really nice concept, and chill game to play. Visuals looks neat, only thing I wish for is some small idle animations for the animals and bosses, but I guess it would be too time consuming to add. Will love to see and play post-jam version of the game!

Congratulations on every metrics !
This game is awesome, I had a blast with the dice mechanics and deck building type gameplay. Reminded me a bit of Super Auto Pets, while still innovating on the idea and vibe. Really good job on this entry! I’m defo gonna keep my eyes peeled for more!

Great entry, very engaging and nicely woven together with the story and cute animal dice. Quite addictive. At times it feels a little too luck driven for my taste with some forced decisions. I like the combination of the tactical choices of how to use and save your dice combined with the overall strategy of dice selection. Very polished and masterful entry overall. Great work!
Very good work. I liked the vibe of the game and the tactical aspect of it. At some point, there were too many creatures, and I couldn't play all of them in time, but I still really enjoyed the game. Keep it up!
This is a really cool entry. If you guys decide to make this into a full game, I'd totally play it. Only thing I can really think to add would be maybe music.
I gave it a 4/5 for audio because of the cute little "meep" sound effects and the ambient night sounds didn't escape me either. I just feel like maybe something droning or eerie cymbal crashes would really bring it to a perfect score. Maybe some suspenseful violins?
I only gave it a 2.5 for innovation. It could just be me, but I feel like there have been a lot of games like this coming out lately. I'm not complaining, I still really enjoy them, but I don't feel like this one really did anything to set itself apart. Kinda feels like Die In The Dungeon meets Inscryption.
This is basically a complete game  It just needs some polish and it's good to go!
very nice
Honestly, I did not understand what to do and could not even get through the very first level. No matter what I did, I always lost. 😞

Great entry, loved playing it and figuring out what kind of cards there are in the game. Took me a few attempts, but happy I stuck through until I finished it. Awesome job!

I tried playing the game, but none of the animals appeared for me :( I faced a dark screen all along

I really liked it! the art is looking really good and the whole vibe is well done!

This is amazing. Whatched the creating process on twitch a little)
2024-10-07 23:24
Love this! Such a cool concept and vibe, and a unique system too!
Was fun watching you build this on stream towards the end - I like the mechanics of this and the different creatures you added - reminds me a bunch of what I Was aiming for with my game.
I did find that the dice numbers would change depending on where you added a second or third dice, not sure if this was intended or not (and if it was could've been explained a tad better) but overall this was great, and amazing.

This game is a true masterpiece!!! this game remind me of inscryption so much,Love the game mood and design so much, best game I even seen in this game jam ,really wish for a more completed version to play!!
Amazing art and such a cool (albeit a little dark) concept. I gotta hand it to you, rolling dice which are also little creatures, genius! This is such a good idea and it's well made too!
extremely polished and so fun to play, overall amazing submission!
This is really impressive! Love the art and the dice/deck building mechanic. Would be cool to see this become a full game!
Absolutely loved the game! Very interesting, yet simple to grasp mechanic, great audio and cute graphics.

It even plays well on a phone! I really liked the game, i replayed and least two more times

2024-10-08 08:03
I really liked this entry! I don't play deck building games because they feel like you always have to watch out for weird combinations and most seem to be PvP. But in a small setting with obvious rules and PvE I can get used to it. The impressive implementation led me to finish the whole thing!

Such an adorable game! I initially was confused about how to 'attack' the rock, i thought placign my die on the board and ending the turn would suffice. Silly of me! I loved the art, and little details like the camera movement with the mouse :)

Woooow I was going to rate it 5 stars all around, but seeing it's a compo can I give it 6? Incredible game with a lot of polish, loved it.
It could use a tutorial, but otherwise loved it. Took me a minute to figure out I had to drag the dice into the rock after rolling it. Once I figured it out I had a lot of fun.
Love the graphics, background noises were good, and game play was solid once I figured out what I was doin.

The screenshots of the game look really interesting, but unfortunately, the world didn’t load for me, so I could only see the GUI with everything else remaining black.

ok disabling post processing works and now the world is rendered but this setting is reseted in every new screen and I must disable it again.

Wonderful little game and incredibly impressive for a compo entry!
Making a working bagel with cubes in two days is very difficult. I've given the game a couple of tries and I want to say with confidence that I would play the game if it were finalized and released on Steam.

One of my favourites from the Jam I have played thus far. Really nicely scoped with polish in the areas that matter most. Was a lot of fun as well and would make a nice short full release with a couple of enhancements and expansions to the gameplay formula. Great job
I really liked this game! The artstyle is really cute and it's impressive how polished it is :o I'm also glad that the dice can't look sad when I leave them behind ^^
Чтож, игра действительно интересная и в ней можно скоротать много часов. Жаль, что по моему мнению она не подходит под тему джема, хотя моя тоже не очень то) Отличный арт и очень крутые механики для кубов)
Oh, my, it's truly refined here! The artwork is quite beautiful, and the sounds are incredibly pleasing—honestly, they're quite satisfying to listen to. Rolling the dice, you feel the urge to jump into the next battle, and the minimalist soundscape keeps you wanting to play over and over again. 🎲
Such a lovely game with juicy art, any ambient music and sound drones for events would be such a banger!
2024-10-08 16:17
Insane this took 48 hours to make. I really like the balatro vibes and the art and think this is a high quality game

2024-10-08 17:40
Great game!
First of all, I want to thank you for your awesome YouTube videos. They're the best I've seen on game dev. I learned so much from them. Special thanks for the book recommendations on game design.
Your game is something else - I just can't wrap my head around how you managed to make such a fucking amazing game in just 48 hours. And how you balanced it all, mad respect. The game really hooks you, considering I generally can't stand deckbuilders. But here I quickly got the hang of it and had a blast playing. The feature with different slots on the enemy that you need to cover is brilliant, makes you think about how to close them all, and that's where the animal abilities really come in handy. I hope you win this jam, you deserve it.
I think this game has a shot at success on Steam. I'll gladly buy it when it comes out!

2024-10-08 18:12
such a cute game! I just wanted to pick all the animals ;_;
2024-10-08 18:36
I saved all animals, wohoo! Very cool game and on top of that, you accomplished it in 48hours. Very impressive. A lot of people are praising this game, so I don't need to add more. ;)
One suggestion if you should continue with the game development. It would fit your "cube-theme" well, if the snail enemy would have a cubric snail house, where you put the dice in.
This game is so great! And it's even better considering it's a compo submission! I didn’t know it was possible to make such a complete game solo in just 48 hours. Every dice is so cute and creative, they help build a splendid mood for the game. I feel bad leaving them behind and happy to be able to add one more to the party. While I’ve seen games with similar gameplay before, the effects of each dice are unique, and I love how they damage the enemies. I didn’t quite understand why I had to drag the dice into the fight; I think a single click would be more practical. The highlight showing where you can place the dice is a nice touch. The graphics are amazing, but the enemies look kind of bland, and it’s confusing that a rock can attack. Also, the enemies’ attacks don’t really look like attacks, which made it a bit confusing. But overall it is a great game! Definitely one of the best compo game I played so far! Well done!

Very enjoyable variation on a dice game. I like having to make decisions which ones to keep and which to leave behind. I was also glad that it was a bit longer than most compo games (including mine), which was great in this case since I was enjoying myself. Anyway, nice job!
2024-10-08 19:14
Damn that's a great game!
super polished! super fun!! gonna play this for dayyyys to come
I like the concept and the artwork and atmosphere are great. I would've loved to see some more variation in the challenges since it got a bit samey after a while. The screen was moving a bit too much when I moved the mouse but that's nothing major. I'm amazed by the fact that you made this in 48 hours, it's really well made

2024-10-08 19:51
Amazing entry! Loved the clean presentation and polished interactions. The mechanics were really well thought out. I'd love to see this extended and turned into a larger game with maybe rogue-like decision points between each stage.
I think it's a very solid contender for best game of the compo! It could become a super cool premium game with more variety in the dices and enemy requirements 👀
2024-10-08 20:08
Amazing game, and incredible for only two days! I found the difficulty level to be just right, I died on the first pass, but learned enough about how the game works to win on the second attempt. Two minor suggestions: 1) the camera following the cursor gets to be a little much when you're dragging dice back and forth. 2) the bear's ears cover some of the dots on the dice.

2024-10-08 20:20
I loved playing the game. It artfully combines mechanics I've really enjoyed in recent times with some lovely and thematic dice designs. The sheep may be my favourite :grimacing:
Congrats on an impressive job, more so for a compo entry. Do you plan to improve it / expand it?

This was super fun! Such a simple mechanic, but it hooked me within seconds. Great job!
Woooah this is a compo game? Everything is great, it's polished, the tutorial is perfect, you have little animations for everything, the audio and visual feedbacks are flawless. The only thing it lacks is some music but I feel that's asking to much. You've made a fantastic thing with this game.
Screenshot 2024-10-08 23.26.08.png
I could see myself playing for a looong time a full version of it. Great job.
2024-10-08 21:29
So good. What a dice engine building game. I like it. Cannot imagine this is done in 42 hours. Great work!
2024-10-08 21:31
Mandatory xk's entry check up.
That's grim! Didn't figure out what to do first time, I mean, that you need to actually drop dices onto the enemy. Also the hedgehog description doesn't state that it needs to remain on field to actually block damage.
But as always, fantastic!
Cute, fun and clever Well done! This game is amazing , I want more !!!!!!!!

Insanely good game. I cant't believe this was made just for a Jam. It looked like a demo for a full fledged game. I would love to play a complete version of this dice deck builder. Way better than dicey dungeons

2024-10-09 02:11
Wow amazing game! It's very, very polished. Strong mood, excellent graphics and sounds. This looks like the work of a small studio for the jam category, being 1 person in compo is insane. Also it has nothing to see with your LD54 game I remember playing last year, it makes it even more impressive. I'll probably come back for a second attempt later. Congrats!
This is an awesome feat! Crazy that all this was accomplished in 48 hours! The atmosphere was awesome, love the graphics and audio design! The visual feedback on all of the assets was really satisfying, and the mechanics were really fun too! The dice game was simple to understand and easy to get a hang of, combined with a rogue-like deck builder system of granting dice made this feel unique and fun to play. Excellent work!
2024-10-09 04:36
Interesting game, but I wiped to the snake because it wasn't clear I had to hit the 6 as well as burn down his health until after I had used all my good dice
2024-10-09 04:42
Very fun game! The "deck" building is interesting and original while being simple to grasp. Plus the dices are really cute. Good job!
Wow, I'm really hooked! I think the design work in this game is very well done, not just because of the mechanics but also how they intertwine with the theme of the Jam. Many congratulations!

Enjoy game
Amazing entry! It's hard to find anything novel to say since there's been lots of great comments already, but I'll do my best.
There's so many mechanics squeezed into a compo game, and so artfully done... I love the cute little dice animals, and how you were able to theme their abilities, as well as the general conceit and feel of recruiting the creatures.
The gameplay is a great take on a Slay the Spire/Dicey Dungeons/Balatro-type thing, and felt very comfortable to get into as a fan of the genre. There's some extremely smart and economical game design here- for instance, the idea of giving the dice their own "energy values" when letting in/out of the pack is great and really make recruiting/dismissing feel dynamic and smart throughout the game.
And, lots of great artistic choices and little effects to make the game feel polished and well put together, too. Great work!! I would definitely play a sequel/spiritual successor to this someday.

Very addictive and nice design. Overall is great!
Awesome game!
2024-10-09 11:00
In 48 hours??? Incredible! I love deck builders, so it was really nice to play this one. Sound design is peak as well!!
I really liked the square characters. And overall the graphics in this game are excellent. I also apparently ran into a bug where my enemy wouldn't die when I dealt him exactly as much damage as he had left to do
Wow, this is a really polished game! I love the turn-based genre, so this game really got me excited
Super duper cool🙏
Really good! Nice scope and well polished. The animals are safe :)
Suggestions: - I would love to see a progress indicator, even as simple as: encounter X of Y - The dice should fill up from the front and stay there, cause you can't change their order (it seems)
Solid main mechanic, reminds me of dicey dungeons and inscription. Cute art style and I like that it's a little gloomy. The only problem i think that last enemy "Hand" can kill you if your deck doesn't have subtracting and adding animals, and you're not lucky with your rolls (it almost killed me because of bad luck). The rest of the battles can be won simply by hedgehogs.

Very professional looking game, polished, well finished, challenging, overall incredibly impressed !
2024-10-09 20:05
Loved it! Everythings looks great: the graphics, the mood, the variety, awesome!
Also really appreciated the onboarding stuff, teaching the mechanics of the game. I only got confused a bit because I thought it was possible to place in any position of the line, maybe a strong indication that it behaves like a queue would clarify it, something like a placeholder at the end.
Again, loved it!
2024-10-09 21:14
Really cool game ! That's the type of game I could totally buy if it was on Steam and with more levels.
2024-10-09 21:24
Great graphics and gameplay. Amazing compo entry.
Love the tiny creatures! Very cute!
This game is super cool! I love the adorable art style and vibes mixed with the eerie environment. I also did think it was a super interesting design to force you discard your resources to regain health after rounds! without that some of the fights seemed like they may have been too punishing, but since you can alwasy sack creatures to get more health it was actually balanced very well!
This is the type of game I would love to see turned into a full-length paid release! Great job!!

2024-10-09 21:48
Incredibly well done, great game! I have no idea how you did it in just a weekend :D The core mechanics are really strong and come out really well, the art style is great, sounds effect fit perfectly, and you also managed to add quite a bit of content (a lot of different types of creatures). So far, best game I tried.
Absolutely great game! If I had to give a critique I would say that adding past 6 pips on a die should be allowed (this would allow for crazy combos that result in big numbers which gamers like).
This was such a wonderful game to play through! It was funny seeing such a similar premise to our game but in a totally different direction. the mood of the whole game, and the different things I had to think about for the game was really fun. great job!
2024-10-10 05:03
The best game I played so far this jam! The art is really cute and I love a deck builder.
It felt like hedgehog was the optimal strategy and I chose it whenever it showed up, being able to stall a turn is strong!
I never quite understood what wolf did, but I still wanted my sheep to become him anyways.
As in the real world the final boss is man...
Fantastic entry, found myself wanting to keep playing for quiet a bit longer than expect. Would love to see the concept fleshed out a bit more, but overall a great entry.
Actually the best game in this jam I've played so far. I will never be able to tell this game was made within 48 hours. So complete and polished. Awesome art and fun mechanics. The game reminds me of Encryption. I love it.

This is really REALLY great ! Best jam game i've played this far. I love the creatures and the game design. A game about dices is hard to make interesting, but you did ! Great job ! I love it !
bravo!
Nice!

太惊人了,难以想象这是一款"compo",游戏的玩法十分成熟,音乐和美术也非常棒,可以说再加些关卡就是一部出色的独立游戏It's amazing! It's hard to believe this is a "compo" . The gameplay is extremely polished, and the music and artwork are also top-notch. With just a few more levels added, this could easily become an outstanding indie game.

Insanely good for a compo, it would easily be a winner in a jam too! Totally agree with @plusminus on this one.

insanely high completion rate for a compo, simple idea, but really deep and fun to play

This game was really fun to play and strategize against. Incredible you completed the experience so quickly. What tool did you use for the art?
2024-10-10 21:05
This game was really enjoyable! So well done and really great atmosphere! I got a little confused in the beginning about the exile, etc. so it might have been nice to either not get that ability until later or have some up front explanation. Honestly though, I got to the end & just wanted to keep playing! I would definitely want to play an expanded version of this game if you make one!
2024-10-10 21:51
Well this is fun! Addictive gameplay, good quality too. I finished the game a few times already  Well done! Lovely art of the dices too!
2024-10-10 22:03
Very very cool game, I loved it. I don't even think there's much I can give regarding feedback. Really polished, easy to learn and enticing mechanics. Congratulations, this is a banger!

Absolutely fantastic entry, perfectly scoped for compo, no notes whatsoever. Graphically gorgeous, thematically on point, just enough narrative to get me invested. Perfect entry.
Amazing good concept and execution! Already feels like a complete game and I really like the dice-play combinations it allows.
Excellent! It's slightly wonky on ultrawide but I won't fault you for that. Top marks!
2024-10-11 13:31
One of my favourite entries so far. Really love the way you approached the deck builder genre. I like the cute artworks and the simple but effective gameplay ! My only complain would be that the screen moving along with your mouse is a little too much. Needs to be tuned down just a tad. Otherwise really amazing.
2024-10-11 21:49
Probably on the best entries here on LD 56. It gives me Dicey Dungeons and Incryption, and Slace the Spire vibes at the same time. Are you going to make a full release? I would buy it if you'd make such! I wanted to play more of it, too sad it's so short. I love how you're trying to control randomness of the dices and artstyle is really nice! I guess mainly the artstyle gives the Tiny Creatures vibe, because when I thought about it aside from the game, quite a lot of that creatures are big  But it is so cute that you don't ever think about it
Simply amazing. Gives me Inscryption vibes for some reason. I seriously cant' find anything negative to say about this game *(ok, except the tutotial ui not displaying correctly on my 21:9 monitor, but really who cares)*.
As other said, I could totally see this expended to a full game on steam. Best compo game for sure, and one of the best game from this jam in general. Bravo!

Wow, did you make this all by yourself? It's so impressive! You have an amazing concept, a polished game with great art and sound design. Your game is fantastic!
Not much to say here, we all already know this was incredible. Congratulations to you, hope you get a win. Best I've seen in LD56 so far, and that's including Jam games.
You are a machine.

Hey, im the host for Score Chasers this year and wanted to ask if youre fine with me using gameplay from the game in this LDs [score chasers tournament](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/$405421/ludum-dare-score-chasers-qualification-begins) intermission video. (Would play in the breaks of the tournament on my stream). Last LD for reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuddhZScWxo

Very compelling, and executed perfectly. I'd probably buy it on steam if it was fleshed out.
@ategon yeah, sure!
This is the jam winner in my opinion (certainly from what I've played). Everything about it is so well polished that it's hard to believe it was made in just 48 hours! I love everything about the mechanics! It was kinda fun not knowing what certain animals meant early on e.g. had no idea what a wolf did until I came across it. Brilliant work.
Crazy how complete this feels! Not much hasn't been said already, haha. Cheers!
A straight 5 stars! Marvelous game design and art style! 20241012-085310.jpg

Damn, I can see myself sinking ridiculous amounts of time into this game. Simple to understand, great variety and even greater potential variety, perfectly spooky atmosphere, balatrification of yatzee is definitely a genre we need more of! I think I'll go back and do another playthrough, cheers.
I loved this game! The atmosphere and art were really well done. I really enjoyed the gameplay, and I'd love to see this brought to a more fleshed out post-jam version!
Great work!
Really cool game! Was very fun
Jeeez it is just SO GOOD especially for compo! like, working alone AND doing it all by yourself AND making an awesome game that i replayed like 5 times already? Dude, all game companies should, like, hunt for you, idk- What im trying to say is, to me, as a solo dev, this is like. Huge inspiration. Cause if that awesome game was made in 2 days by one person than what else is possible-
Anyways, awesome game, (really glad we are not competitors rn, lol) hope you win!

Love the vibes, reminds me of Inscryption! That was actually also first prototyped in Ludum Dare 43! Cool!
Wowww it’s the coolest game i’ve seen in the jam. Congratulations and good job !!
2024-10-12 22:06
Wow this was amazing! Excellent entry. I had a lot of fun with the balance of strategy and luck. I definitely would have enjoyed like 10 more levels after the last boss.
Really fun and has an awesome style, well done!

I love this game, Poor Black Cat was left behind in my game. :< I LOVE how the choices are presented and make the player feel a little guilty for abandoning the others. Amazing what you accomplished within the constraints presented!
Nice artwork and concept!I love this game.
2024-10-13 12:17
Oh wow, I'm hooked! I love the concept of dice-cats :D It's a fresh way of rethinking deck building. I'd love to keep beating more enemies. Bravo !!

Looked a couple times on the stream, decided to play only now, the mood of the game for some reason reminiscent of Slay the Spire. But your game forgives mistakes %)

Really nice game, was fun playing it.
Good job !
Very very very cool on all aspects. I especially enjoyed the well-balanced game design and the cute creatures design. I'm really shocked that people can make such games in 48h, take a step back cause that's absolutely mind boggling. A huge congrats!

Great game, love the animals shaped like dice! Loved the concept but the randomness of the dice sometimes makes losing too probable. Still an amazin game!
What a game, this is just such a cool idea!
The only complaint I have is that you made this in 48h as a compo game instead of taking months and making it a longer game hahaha /jk
But seriously now, I loved everything, from the dice-shaped animals to the different challenges... The dice effects even seem to combo with each other (like, A re-rolls B with increases C...).
2024-10-14 18:23
its too cruelly that i need choose which of these cute creatures should i send into scary dark forest :sweat_drops: they all TOO cute, TOO adorable, how i can do it q.q i don't want to win i just wanna have them all :,>

Very adorable, played with my roommate and we had a lot of fun. The art is legit gorgeous. It was a bit confusing to begin, the tutorial being after choosing your first animals didn't help hahaha. But we picked it up pretty quickly. This game has a loooot of potential and we loved to play it. Good job!
2024-10-15 03:00
This reminds me of a flash game I used to play back in the day! Love the nostalgia and super cute art!

Nice game,very interesting plot!!!!Nice job!!!!

This work is ready to be a real game out of here, very good job, really, I'm impressed by the graphics, the audio and also the mechanic, basically by everithing! And the fact that this is a compo game, made by only one person, makes me more impressed!

I totally love how this game feels - sound, animations etc.
Pretty addicting, I would've kept playing if it didn't end . Really fun and super polished. I have no complaints, I just wanted more. If I were you, I'd consider making a full release of this.

Played on mobile worked flawlessly, super fun game with an amazing core loop, I just wish it didn't end lol
I wasn't expecting a game of this quality to come out of a 48-hour comp. It is truly amazing what you managed to pull off with the deck-builder and the assets in such a short time and at such a high quality. Hats off to you!
The art and gameplay... OMG. :open_mouth: It's astounding what you accomplished in 48 hrs. Damn. Really cool entry. I now have a lot of guilt losing so many of those cute little critters... :sob: :joy:

Great game! Really fun to play and the subtle twist to the genre works very well, I was surprised there was that much mob to fight but I wanted even more!! Congratz on this great entry.
2024-10-18 16:25
Cool game! And even more impressive considering that you made it in under 48 hours!
2024-10-19 23:30
Incredible. Would play a full-release version for hours.
Wow! Great game. I dig the style and the art. My kids played through this a few times and loved it.
as great controls and an innovative gameplay style, with lots of adorable art and a fantastic sense of atmosphere. The music and sound effects are spot on, and there are specially designed mechanics and enemies that make it even better.

Definitely the best game I played in LD56 so far! one of the only ones that were genuinely very fun. The game could easily be at least 3 times longer and I wouldn't complain. Great use of the theme and the graphics and designs are charming. the UI and sound mixing could do with some work, but that's just nitpicking, as this game is a lot for a compo. Amazing job!

2024-10-21 18:24
def the most interesting puzzle mechanics ive seen this time, great execution!
awesome game!
Impressive work for a 48h Compo! The theme is slightly used as a skin really, but the mood that you built around is clear and well done. Good game design overall, nice job!

Very cool game with great visuals and mechanics! I think I will run it many more times.
Maybe the best so far???? Flawless stuff, really! I only wish the Ram was named Lamb, because oh so many were picked to sacrifice...
Definitely the best game I've played so far. Increadibly well executed on every category! I played through it all, it was well balanced, super charming and overall just a fun experience. Would love to see more of it!
2024-10-23 11:29
Wow, that was an incredible game. Super fun, loved the visuals, good dice variety and interesting opponents. Having the leave one of the cute creatures behind definitely made me feel for the dice, haha.
You should be very proud of this submission!

2024-10-23 19:14
Just a totally delightful experience with great gameplay too. One of the best!
WOW, it blows my mind that this was a compo game. Making it in 48 hours with the adorable art and clever game mechanics was super terrific! I was especially surprised by the final enemy as I had not been planning toward that type of combat lol.
You also did a great job of making "exiling" a die feel awful. Like how can I leave any of these adorable animals behind?!?!
Really cool concept! I enjoyed it a lot. The idea works really well and could totally be turned into a full commercial game. Congrats!
I absoloutely loved this. 5 across the board for me!
Lovely dice design and the newbie guide is especially great!

What a cool game! I got truly sad for finishing it, 'cause I wanted more. Incredible submission for a compo!
Please let me find food somehow🤬 I don't want to exile any more creatures💀 But yeah I loved the game. No more words.

Very beautiful and pleasant animations. And the very concept of giving different opportunities to influence the randomness is not bad. I finished it completely and liked it.
2024-10-26 20:37
Kind of off topic, but how did you generate so much engagement with such few reviews and comments?
The graphics, sounds, and mood fit well for creating a forest setting.
I noticed a minor graphical glitch. If a user plays until the first selection at normal zoom, then expand to full screen, the tooltip bubbles are render too high.
A different idea for the post-jam, is adding a shortcut of shift-click to automatically send a die into the only matching zone. It could be a nice extra input to consider to avoid the screen panning around as much when putting all dice into a far right target.
I also liked the length of the game. Given more time, having a way to reset to the beginning without losing could be good too, since you already have the reset logic coded.
