It's not always clear, why am I collecting rings?, the transition to the boss fight was a bit abrupt. But the chaos aspect of it creates a nice "I don't know what I'm doing but I love it", along with the voice lines it make for a very fun game, good job!
Sadly the drawing doesn't scale with resolution so it looks to small on screens higher than 1080p (as can be seen on the screen on the comment above mine). In Unity, always make sure your Canvas Scaler is set to "Scale With Screen Size".
Other than that it's a lovely concept!
For the first one, it seems like I'm hitting all the stars but the button at the end still says "retry", which is pretty confusing at first because to me, retry imply that I lost. For the second one, as someone who isn't used to rhythm games, I find it pretty hard. And I don't know if it's a bug or nor but the art doesn't get more colorful as I make points like in the first game.
Very cute little game! The visuals work really well to create this charming vibe. The gameplay is nice and simple, the different mechanics you unlock work well with one another.
I did get manage to get lost in the level though, and I find the sensibility of the camera to be too high on the gamepad, but I guess the a matter of preferences.
Lovely little puzzle-plateformer! Nice and varied mechanics, good job!
I feel like you give to many instruction, "Push the barrel to climb ontop" or "Launch blue across" could be things that the player as to figure out on there own
It took me way to long to understand how to buy new weapons, my bad for not reading the game's description correctly but maybe a text in game "Press tab to open the shop" could have been useful.
Other than that, I have to admit that it's really fun.
The performance gets really bad when you kill to many enemies at once.
I love the visuals and audio, but I find it pretty difficult to understand what's happening. I think the game definitely needs to view the map in it's entirety.
Nice game! Great graphics, the bunnies are really cute. The gameplay is fun.
I wish you would lose the game as soon as you don't have enough bunnies to complete a level, instead of waiting until the end to find out or having to manually restart. I think for a puzzle game like that it would be better if the position of the bunnies wasn't randomized at the start of a level. I also found the level 10 to be the hardest of all.
Interesting game! I find it a bit slow, maybe the souls could get converted faster, also I feel like once you understand how the game works you can's loose since the souls under your circle never get corrupted. Once you unlock the last upgrade it's pretty satisfying to convert every souls.
The pixel art is good, the game runs surprisingly smoothly for how many characters are on screen near the end. Good job!
Simply amazing. Gives me Inscryption vibes for some reason. I seriously cant' find anything negative to say about this game *(ok, except the tutotial ui not displaying correctly on my 21:9 monitor, but really who cares)*.
As other said, I could totally see this expended to a full game on steam. Best compo game for sure, and one of the best game from this jam in general. Bravo!
Fun and interesting game. It took me some time to understand that I needed to put the slimes in the machine before selling them. I also find that the rent ramp up too quickly, I never had enough money to buy upgrades
Fun game! I had to skip the level 6 but after that I could finish all levels. I wish the upgraded units were explained (or maybe they was and I missed it) because I found out about the "triple vertical goblin" only at the last level. Also sometimes I had troubles seeing were I was placing the units, something with the angle of the camera I think.
Incredible for a game made in 72h! I think you could have made (way) less modules to have more time to make more levels. In my opinion a ten or less modules with more levels would have made the game more interesting to play and just as impressive. I also miss rotating nodes. But that's still very impressive for your first game jam.
Cool concept, nice art and music. I feel like maybe it would have been interesting to limit the amount of flea you can sacrifice per level, because right now I can pretty much spam until it's enough.
I didn't fully understand everything the first time, but the second time it was better and I managed to win.
I think you should be able to get back without half your bees dying if you get back to the hive before the night even if you didn't find hone nectar. The concept is original and the art is good, nice job.
That's a lovely story so far, but I would have really enjoyed some music to go with it. The UI could also have used some polish, but it's not that important for a visual novel. I'm also pretty sure I spotted some grammatical mistakes.
Great idea and the graphics are nice, but I feel like the game is too shorts. I think you could have easily added more levels even if there was nothing new in those
But other than the length it's a good and really original game.
Made it all the way to the end of wave 15 (the game stated to fell laggy after ware 12 or so when there was to many enemies on screen), the difficulty curve ramp up nicely
The combat feels great, the visuals are nice, the particle effects are amazing.
My only neat pick are that the regular dash feels a bit underwhelming, especially when you also have a dash attack. Also the UI between waves could use some polish, the CPU image in the background doesn't look so good in my opinion.
It may be unfinished, but it's a cool game nonetheless! Honestly for a jam it could pass as a completed game with no issues.
As it is the gameplay loses it's interest quickly after the first "worship" because there's not much to do beside build house, feed and repeat. But what is there is really well polish, the creatures are very cute and a cult aspect (some Cult of the Lamb inspiration?) sounds interesting.
I'm not a fan of the control scheme tho, I would prefer to scroll instead of using Q and E to go through the actions.
Finished it pretty quickly, the gameplay is really fun even tho I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do beside spamming until it works, but hey the chaos is part of the fun
Very nice entry, I wish the "Show Crew" button would select the planet the cat was on instead of just moving the camera because right it's not easy the find the right planet, especially on the border of the map were the camera doesn't center properly
