LD47 — Stuck in a loop

All the same by Erkberg 2020-10-06T20:14:54Z

This is absolutely **gorgeous**!!!

The atmosphere, the music, the writing. Beautiful! I prefer emotional over mechanically impressive, and I'm glad to have found another jammer that targetted that area!

Brings back memories of the end of Little Inferno <3

Untitled cat unboxing by piegames 2020-10-06T23:26:06Z

Ooo, interesting idea here! Took a bit of trial and error to figure out how to use the space bar ability, but once I figured it out the puzzles were unique and fun to work through!

All moves very slow, and having to move back and forth in some cases to move your previous selves around felt a little bit punishing.

Overall a great entry, keep it up!

Hell Loop by Darthdeus 2020-10-14T20:37:06Z

Love this, lost 6 people the first time, so kept replaying! A really fun one <3

Chrono Kill by Giranath 2020-10-05T23:30:30Z

Quite a confusing game, it kept ending and making me choose a ship despite not being hit (I assume I must have to protect my team mates too?)

Would love to see it with some tutorial and clearer controls! Love the sound design!

Retro Stuck by roboshamit 2020-10-07T00:05:40Z

Love typing games! This was fun, some control over difficulty would be ideal!

Into the Portal by nicardo 2020-10-06T17:01:03Z

Controls feel good, shooting is great. I like the shattering effects throughout. Some tool tips or something would be great to give some guidance as first glance was a little confusing! Overall a good entry! <3

a Damsel a Day by alec 2020-10-05T23:03:52Z

Brilliant stuff! Controls feel a little slidy at times, but other than that, I think this is my favourite so far from this jam <3

*I can't get enough of those trees*

POKKO by gord10ahmet 2020-10-05T21:50:32Z

This is sick, the whole concept is great! First few puzzles got a bit repetitive, may want to introduce some more elements slightly quicker, and then expand upon them! Other than that, love it <3

Degrimer by Beebo Studios 2020-10-05T23:24:00Z

Love the whole spin/wash system, brilliant work and well implemented! Game was simple, fun and funny!

Character controls felt a bit sticky at times, mostly the jump, but other than that, was great!

Impact Juggling by TheWustache 2020-10-05T22:51:40Z

Honestly love this. Feels impactful when you manage to hit the balls, love the challenge! Difficult enough to not last forever, that's a plus!!

Timing for hitting was a bit of a struggle to figure out at times!

WhileLoops by Ausstein 2020-10-06T16:55:20Z

Phenomenal! Font made some of the symbols hard to identify at speed, not sure if that was intended for difficulty, if so, makes total sense lol!

This is the best application of the theme I've seen so far!

Jack's Inferno by mharring 2020-10-06T20:07:58Z

Brilliant stuff! Movement feels well put together, dodging is great!

Would love some progression for the player, new attacks, powerups or something to use to your advantage

The Hanging Tree by Grommel 2020-10-06T19:53:10Z

Liked the atmosphere, really like the core mechanic! One thing I struggled with was figuring out which way to go after respawning at a checkpoint, some sort of signposting (maybe a light moving in the direction you're heading or something) would help a load! Overall, a fun entry, would love to see this kind of thing expanded on with more time!

Altered Nexus by clemonades 2020-10-06T23:44:56Z

Those. Level. Transitions.

How to rope a cow by Duck Reaction 2020-10-06T19:40:20Z

Hilarious, amazing way to use the theme!

Last Minute by LukeBenkart 2020-10-05T23:50:58Z

Love the pressure this puts on you! Really well put together, reminds me of old flash escape rooms!

Bear in the Loop by TureGrappa 2020-10-05T21:43:12Z

Really like this! Some of the collissions are hard to predict (i found myself bouncing off certain things) and the star collect sound is a bit jarring, but love the use of the loop, brilliant application of the theme!

Shadow of Archimedes by Eckkert 2020-10-05T23:09:03Z

Loved the whole mood behind the game. Crafting was a bit ambiguous, wasn't toooo sure what I was making at times, love the concept, would love to see a fully realised version some day!

Loopocalypse by Kongo 2020-10-06T19:30:46Z

559 seconds!

Loved this, near enough a fully realised game! The art is great, the premise is brilliant (amazing interpretation of the theme)

Once you fill the screen it becomes somewhat of a grind to the end, as others have mentioned, a lose condition would be a great addition!

Pollution by Athryell 2020-10-06T23:34:36Z

Love the concept! Such a good a relevant idea.

Sound effects were funny, but a bit jarring!

Loop Cut by Quak 2020-10-05T21:59:45Z

This was good! I didn't wind up using the gun, the blade felt easier, some debuffs the enemies could apply might make the gun more feasible than the blade? Had a lot of fun with this one <3

CONTRAST by Benedek Labancz 2020-10-06T17:11:52Z

Just played this to completion! A really fun concept (although I'm a huge fan of puzzle games and spent most of the time hoping for more door unlock minigames). Gameplay was original!

Some of the music went a bit strange at the end (I think the boss music was overlapping with the level music). Would love to see a more polished version made in more than 3 days <3

Space Drummer by Guilloteam 2020-10-06T23:03:28Z

This is phenomenal. Would love a full version, this whole idea is so innovative and incredible. Different ships with different time signatures, upgrading weapons? Love it, my fav so far.

Stix by Sombrero Guy 2020-10-06T17:56:55Z

Really likes this game, the look of it is great, atmosphere added a whole loada suspense too!

One thing I think would really improve the experience: since it's not directly top down, some hitbox adjustments would help make the world traversable (top of the player can move through tree hitboxes, etc to make it look like you move in front)

Anomaly by Mat Stevenson 2020-10-05T23:16:51Z

Ship jumping between nodes gave me FTL nostalgia! Love the idea, would love to see more options for what you can do on the planets. Music and art are great, but some of the more minor sound effects were slightly jarring volume-wise compared to the soft atmospheric music.

The infinite maze by BaptistePerez 2020-10-06T18:02:41Z

The aesthetic here is brilliant! Would have loved some sound to be included.

Really gave me some zelda lost woods vibes!

Collateral Damage by Michael Parrish 2020-10-05T23:00:02Z

This is great, love the switch up from a standard galaga/space invaders arcade shooter. I'm terrible, but I do really like the challenge aspect of it. Controls are a bit awkward, but I honestly can't think of a better button layout myself lol

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Blobbies by tuism 2024-10-08T17:06:23Z

Like if world of goo was destructive instead of constructive

Not the most colourblind friendly, but since moves aren't limited, I could trial and error the ones I had trouble with!

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-08T17:01:29Z

Very cute! Full-on Dicey Dungeons vibes. Not sure I actually have any constructive feedback for this, it's just great!

Leapo Froggo by zwartraider 2024-10-12T12:02:46Z

Leaderboards are super fun for jam games - this one was a great entry. Love the frog

Honey for the Winter by adjo 2024-10-07T22:39:48Z

This was great, although occassionally hit a *bug* :bee: that sent me in a specific direction, so I'd die. Other than that, it was a super creative idea

Squirrel puncher by eerongal 2024-10-07T20:38:25Z

A fun time - boss fight was genuinely sick, but couldn't figure out what the powerups were specifically doing

Cheddalier by outstar 2024-10-07T20:50:25Z

Maybe one of the best Jam games I've ever played. Would absolutely buy a fully fleshed out version of this. Dicey Dungeons (and maybe a bit of Backpack Hero) kinda vibes.

Edit - just finished it, had a strat that kinda *cheesed* it, but with some balancing it could be sick!

Carrot Patch by Historymaker118 2024-10-08T17:10:33Z

Very cute, very fun. The purple and grey weren't the most colourblind friendly - couldn't quite tell the difference and wasn't sure why my controls were inverting til I re-read the instructions. Great game apart from that though!!

Shrink & Slime by Xwilarg 2024-10-07T22:35:57Z

Love the setting of this. Big PS1 Toy Story vibes

PLEASE, GNOMORE by CyTheRabbit 2024-10-12T11:59:39Z

Love it - gnome-themed pikmin! Walking sounds were the highlight of this jam

The Pasture by Fis 2024-10-08T16:52:07Z

This is gorgeous. Kept getting rabbits wanting veggies that I didn't have available, so a way to deal with/prevent that would be great, but otherwise this'd make a great little phone game!

Duck Rescue Patrol by rkhadder 2024-10-08T16:28:26Z

Love ducks, so this is cute as hell. Not sure the level summary was working correctly as after losing some ducks to a drain (oops) the overlay didn't seem to show the correct numbers saved etc. Other than that, this would be a great puzzle game!

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-08T16:21:04Z

Great game. The concept is perfect, but the controls were frustrating at times and it didn't quite feel like I had much control over the fleas. Loved the hand drawn art - really nice aesthetic.

Snow Flipper by nevercade 2024-10-08T16:56:27Z

Very cute penguin. Controls really nicely too.

Struggled with fishing on the left-side water - not sure if I was meant to be able to fish there, but clicking didn't work, but no issue other than that.

Critter Cannon by Stefan B. 2024-10-12T11:57:06Z

This was fun - unfortunately got stuck when I had a pile of creatures blocking the trampolines and was also freezing my browser occassionally. I do agree with above and think some of the assets look AI generated, which is less ideal, but gameplay is fine.

Tiny Territories by Willby 2024-10-08T16:11:49Z

Really enjoyed this - a chill lil game, very cute. Had to trial and error sometimes because the dots/moods of the animals didn't quite make sense to me.

Wink and the Fae by Pious 2024-10-08T16:00:54Z

Absolutely loved the sound when returning loads of lil friends at once. Really satisfying little game. Would be nice to have some more difficulty/powerups or something to keep it entertaining with replays.

Cheer Pinball by hakimallazi 2024-10-08T16:25:38Z

Fun - love a pinball game!

I do think the flippers move a little slow, and often just end up catching the ball as they come back down. Also could definitely lean into the theme a little more - maybe some textures on the board to theme it or something similar. A great effort overall though!

Slimeow Game by Quan Ran 2024-10-08T16:40:07Z

Enjoyed this, but it sits somewhere on the boundary between idle game and tower defence. Maybe a bit too slow in the beginning, but fun nonetheless. Plus the art is great!

Tiny Brigades by nataku92 2024-10-08T01:42:02Z

This goes so hard. Didn't quite understand what 'playing a brigade' did without using it, instructions leave it a bit vague, but once you get your head around it, it's sick

Solo Hamstering by purplexy 2024-10-08T12:32:04Z

Great aesthetic - any game that lets you shit is a winner

Frame Wizards 2 by AlezJL 2024-10-08T14:48:21Z

Cool concept, but difficult to organise the screen since things can't be moved after being placed so it got a bit messy/chaotic!

DR.SPIDER by Michael Li 2024-10-08T14:53:33Z

Fun! I think it could be improved if right click was removed completely, and the mouse was just used to target - particularly for laptop trackpad play (I played this on my work laptop ).

Lint by turturi 2024-10-08T15:06:20Z

Cute, full of character, and fun to play - a full hand.

Camera occassionaly popped up to high to see the platform I was jumping to, which made it quite difficult, but no complaints apart from that.

Paper War by NAKS 2024-10-08T16:43:58Z

Didn't 100% understand how to play, so some more instructions would've been great - after upgrading, my soldiers seemed to win the game by themselves. Looks great, nice animations. Reminded me a lil bit of Age of War.

A Moving Service by Irene02 2024-10-08T16:04:15Z

Took me ages to get my first one, but rewarding when I finally did :muscle: With some physics tweaks it could be a great QWOP/Getting Over It styled rage game.
