Great game - I wish the ship wouldn't just sit in the middle
Good game - my feedback echos what others are saying: no health bar and die without indication
Fun game, beautiful graphics - Maybe better explain the controls and have some kind of point count tick up
Fun game once I got the controls down - I think a better "tutorial" could have been implemented
I got this error while trying to play the web version - Uncaught RangeError: Invalid typed array length
Very well executed. The 4 elemental wizards was so frustrating but I couldn't stop playing. Kudos to a good submission
This was a really fun game. I think 8 might be too much. The graphics fit the game style perfectly. The mechanics are straightforward and the theme is well implemented. Great entry
I played this game longer than any other I've reviewed so far
I like the game, I thought it was an interesting approach. The font was kind of hard to read and the items spawned very quickly, maybe have it start slower and speed up as the player progresses
The game was good, ended up playing longer than I thought
- The cursive font is really hard to read
- I didn't know what to do with powerups
Well done
Fun game overall I really enjoyed the graphics and feel of the game - The main menu disoriented me, maybe slow down the background effect
All around great game. Had a blast playing it.
Really unique and I really enjoyed it. Great work :)
Couldn't get past the menu on the windows build
Would have been nice to know what things I gave the alchemy table No reason to collect garbage
I liked the audio. Would have been cool if the crabs spawned in different corners and would have been cool if the island wasn't the same each time. At the end the helicopter picked me up but I ran into a crab while on the helicopter so I died and lost.
Interesting game - I couldn't get rid of the bears no matter how many times I hit them.
Cute theme Great graphics Awesome sound effects
Level difficulty curve seemed off to me. Most levels I could collect all the eggs without placing crates. Some levels I could get all the eggs without anything even spawning. Some levels a lot of things spawned but none got near my chicken. I think if you made the ai less random and gave me them some *slight* seeking ability it would make the game way more challenging and engaging.
The graphics are great - the explosion feels soo juicy. Great game!
Great game Loved the graphics Checkpoints at every door would have made the gameplay significantly better Great submission!
These graphics are really well done and the gameplay is great for 7 hours of work. Nice submission
This would be a fun mobile game
I love this game - its well balanced, well paced, easy to understand, and rewarding. I think some more life in the game would have made this even better but I love what it is. Super innovative. Great submission!
This is a really fun puzzle game. I think the shooting could be a little more smooth but overall great submission
Favorite game so far
Graphics are cute and the gameplay has a great difficulty curve
To echo other people, idle animations would be nice and background music would be appreciated
Great submission!
@sydream I appreciate the review - more levels coming soon!
@jasonsumm1 Yea I named the game right before I submitted - would 100% have to change it in the future. Thanks for playing!
@noxalus Thanks for the comment - glad you enjoyed the music
@thomz12 Yea I was going for a suspenseful mood so I'm glad it came across. Thanks for giving the game a try!
@rexgame Thanks for playing!
@blue-pin-studio yea I would have loved to make more levels but I started this game Sunday morning so didn't have much time. I really like the idea of moving the pov - thanks for sharing!
@tomathor That is good feedback - I'll take it into account when I continue to work on the game. Thanks for giving the game a try!
@kimist42 Thanks!
@invixel Yea the radius of the agents do need to be tweaked. Thanks for the feedback!
@guilherme-oliveira Glad you enjoyed!
Nice concept I really liked the maze and the art graphics When you die you restart in the same room is a nice touch The attack mechanic was kind of tough, would be nice if the radius was larger
Cute art
Love the fact that you can go under the table - that was a really nice touch.
To echo other opinions, the wind was too powerful. I think one good way to balance it would be after the gust hits you then it should disappear
Solid game!
Art is beautiful - couldn't upgrade seeds which sucked but I loved that you had enough time to add seeds. Great work
I like the play on a double theme here - you don't want to die and you don't want your daughter to die. Really well polished. Great submission!
Awesome entry - I couldn't tell how much power I had remaining so kept losing to getting to much goo.
Cute animations - loved the way the robot walks
I would have loved to have seen the robot move faster and not letting the robot place things on top of one another. I think with these 2 changes the game would have been more fun and engaging.
Great work!
Nice submission! The checkpoints are clutch but movement with fire is tooo slow
Fucking love this game
This is a really good game for your first game jam! The levels did get progressively more difficult but they felt good. Sometimes I'd get hit but I didn't know how. Overall this was a great submission!
*rate other games if you want more ratings - you need to get 20 ratings to see your results at the end of the 3 weeks
Super rich world Cute graphics Input was a little weird Loved the story Awesome game!
Really liked the graphics
Some small things to change that would make a big difference imo - Have the player face in the direction you're moving (i.e. they only look right despite you moving left) - Small sound effects - Some story
Well done - awesome entry!
Couldn't figure out any of the controls
Couldn't play because you didn't upload the full Unity build folder
Wanted to echo a lot of the other opinions
Its a cute game with retro graphics and sound The dragging was pretty tough to get us to though
Really solid entry here A lot of elements for only a few days Very impressive
Sound effects were the best part - they were hilarious.
The game took awhile to learn and once learned took played slow. I think if you increased the game speed a little it would be more fun and if you included some sort of in game tutorial it would have been helpful.
This is one of the most innovative games I've played. Awesome work!
Ba bada ba!
I like that you story elements and a day/night cycle. Game seemed repetitive. You can add some variety by introducing obstacles or enemies or reducing the time to mine. The entire game should have been playable via keyboard, there was no need to add a mouse component. Overall, solid entry. Well done!
Graphics were the highlight for me in the demo. I loved the attention to detail, especially with the posters on the wall. It give the game a great mood.
For the mechanics, I would have loved for the cannon to be more snappy to my mouse. I understand the goal of having the cannon lag behind the mouse movement, but maybe reduce the amount of lag since its more annoying versus a mechanic.
Overall solid demo.
@cookiera Thanks for playing and reviewing! I only made the game in under 12 hours so I only had time for the core loop. I wish I had more time to flesh out the graphics too.
@kaizerklimach I agree - I had plans for a boss, more variety of enemies, and every reality having different physics but ran out of time. Thanks for playing :)
@sli Great recommendation! The intent was to have an indicator but I never got around to it. I planned to have the realities stem from every room (and not all the realities would lead to the end).
@aaranos Yea I wish I could fix that bug but only found it in the last bit of the jam. The aesthetics were influenced by this pack - https://pixel-poem.itch.io/dungeon-assetpuck
@jpgfg Thanks for the kind words - I agree with more time it would have been a much meatier experience to play.
@frozenfire92 Thank you! I appreciate you taking the time to play and comment :)
@id-sketch Thats a great callout - I'll make sure to consider that as I flesh out the game some more.
@miej @digital-bacon @ar-borno @elliuwu @t90 @francesco @albionbrown Thank you for taking the time to play and comment! I totally agree it is too short but I might make an extended version - stay tuned :)
The mood of this game was great. The sound and the lights really added to the ambiance of diving deeper. This game reminds me a lot of motherload on miniclip.
Some things to consider to make the game harder would be - The deeper you go the more pressure your ship experiences and if it doesn't have a strong enough hull it starts deteriorating. This would incentivize me to buy hull (which I didn't need to to finish the game). - Add moving obstacles to make the light mechanic more important. I was pretty much able to avoid everything without needing to ever upgrade my light. If something snuck up from behind me then I'd find more value in having an aura of light around.
Great game - awesome art and vibe.
I wish there was more things for me to click. After upgrading to level 4 weapons, the game essentially played itself. Maybe allowing me to activate a powerup or have more autonomy over exploring the dungeon. Something to keep me engaged in the mid/late game.
For a game jam this is an incredible entry. Well done!
The puzzles feel refreshing and are a good time. The vibe of the game is on point.
The mouse moved too quick for more and the jump was a little too floaty. The puzzles also seemed to repeat randomly. Maybe you can do some simple logic to ensure the puzzles are being more evenly distributed. I didn't like having to solve the same puzzle I just solved.
This game was really well done. I love the slight drift of the drone when you stop moving the inputs. It adds a microchallenge of keeping the drone stable while floating downwards. This is a really fresh game with a lot of replayability. I hope you continue working on it. I got 2530!
Surprisingly challenging game. I liked where you were going with the game. I agree with Paperdomo's comment that instead of using E to toggle climbing the rope, holding up/W should have automatically grabbed onto the rope. Attacking didn't work for me. The physics about going up ramps could be improved. Solid entry!
This game has so much potential if you had a better difficulty curve. It was too hard to beat a single level. Clearing your coins on level restart is a cruel mechanic XD
Great art and concept.
Download isn't working for me. Google drive is failing to zip it. For future jams, I'd recommend making it as easy as possible to play your game.
I enjoyed this game. It was really different and had a great mood. Thanks for the experience.
The graphics were really good. I like the world design it created a great mood. For your first jam you did excellent. Well done!
Wish you made the game a zip to make it more accessible to play.
This game was really fun to play and strategize against. Incredible you completed the experience so quickly. What tool did you use for the art?
This game is amazing. Its fun, fast paced, good variation, actually difficult. It would be cool to spawn with some immunity, I got killed off spawn a bunch.
Fan of the art and the title screen transition! The game idea is unique and I enjoyed playing what I could. I kept encountering issues where my web would just disappears. I hope you continue working on the idea!
well done on your submission! was fun to play and I like the story
I absolutely love this game. Such a fun clicker. The sound and art was great and the mechanics were juicy. Would be cool to turn this into an idle game, grow some pollen collector bees that get the pollen from the scouts, be able to expand your beehiiv so you can grow more bees at a time. Congrats on your submission!
The art is incredible! The game was fun and easy to pick up.
When you get run over by the giants you should lose some jellies. Right now the flinched mechanic doesn't feel as punishing.
Something about the movement felt unexpected. I had a hard time being able to aim and shoot from distance, I really had to get close to the incinerator to increase my accuracy.
This idea is so unique. I love the psuedo development style of the game. The tutorial was difficult to get going but I appreciated that you included the "doomed" version so I can get an idea of what a real game could look like. One idea to make the main game less chaotic would be to allow me to preconfigure daemons and then deploy my preconfigured units in the middle of battle when I get enough giblets. Very fun concept - congrats on submitting to the jam and I hope you work on this :robot: :fire:
@kattraii the duck community appreciates your service :duck: :raised_hands: - hope you enjoyed the game!
@leeway yea the toss is fun and there are a lot of cool ideas for how the toss could be used if I had more time to implement. I wanted to add some puzzle idea where you had to toss the ducklings to unlock areas of the map. I agree, little quacks would have made this experience feel much more rich. Thanks for playing, I hope you enjoyed  :duck:
@snesgaard I'm a dev not an artist so thank you for your kind words on the dev art! I only had a few hours to work on the game but I'd love to continue working on this and adding more levels.
@winter2277 Cars was the next thing I wanted to work on. I also thought of gusts of air or enemies to add extra depth to the game. Thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts :duck: :handshake:
@rhyst Not the whole family! Hopefully you were able to save them on the second run through. Thanks for playing :duck:
@lou-tremolieres who would have thought you could connect with ducklings so quickly! Hope you enjoyed :v: :duck:
@ironhandmd Thanks for leaving a comment. Any ideas come to mind for other obstacles or challenges?
@di11u the ducklings need to be saved! not thrown into the sewer! thanks for playing :duck:
@hakimallazi :warning: ducks should not be thrown in the real world :warning:  hope you enjoyed tossing them around :duck: :baseball:
@pijinguy I agree - music and sound effects are a must add
@tentacledream oo I didn't even think of adding tools to move the ducks around - did you have any ideas while playing? :tools: :duck:
@jscommander glad to hear the game was relaxing to play. hope you enjoyed patrolling these tiny creatures to safety :police_car: :duck:
@zappablamma I know the lack of levels is such a bummer. I only had a few hours to work on the game and wanted to get the core loop + tutorial in place. Thanks for playing!
@tentacledream these are some great ideas! I also had the idea of powerups that made you look like one of those themed rubber ducks you find at an arcade.
DuckWizard.png
@adelinaartist17 Спасибо за игру!
@little-crow-heart thanks for playing! ducklings can't help waddle behind bigger ducks :duck:
@checkyourgages any ideas to throw ducks? :duck: :baseball:
@aghoulprince the ducks are safer because of you. thanks for playing :handshake: :duck:
@milkwine yea I was really against the clock on this one otherwise would have added a few more levels + new mechanics. I had an idea for a wizard duckDuckWizard.png
@garys @adam-konig @katelyn-trout @wind1e @erasemenot @righteousz @skel3ton @arcadeeleven @detectivelosos @krisss-gonko Thanks so much for taking the time to play and review the game. I deeply appreciate it! :duck: :raised_hands:
Ooh mario pipe mechanic could be a fun - :sparkles: the duck slide :sparkles: - thanks for playing @briibot
Had a really great time playing this game. Great submission!
The art and mood is amazing. The depth of game mechanics is impressive for such a short period of time. This game has potential - keep at it after the jam!
Amazing game! I got 391.
The mechanics were simple but the game was intense and fast paced. I really enjoyed the mood of this game. I think you all should keep working on this one!
Amazing level of polish for a game jam submission. The tutorial was so smooth and simple to follow. The art was unique and different. The mechanics were really easy to get a hold of and the levels got progressively difficult.
Well done!
Great game! I killed a bunch of rocks but didn't know what to do next. Also I couldn't figure out how to replace members of my team with new recruits. I wish the purple gems were way easier to find initially as I was just aimlessly walking around looking for something to do.
Congrats on the submission!
I couldn't find the rabbit but it was fun moving all characters together. I can imagine traps, other animals as obstacles, and some basic instructions for the characters you're not controlling would be great ways to expand the idea.
Congrats on submitting the game!
nice classic pinball - congrats on your submission!
Cool take on a classic. I appreciate the difficulty increased accordingly!
This game is so polished for a jam submission. It was really fast paced, the art was great, the end level screen was nostalgic, the mechanics were fun. You should keep working on this, it was great potential.
I loved the world and the mechanics. I wish gameplay was a bit faster!
This game is stunning and incredibly fun to play. Congrats on your submission - you should totally release this game!
Had a really great time tossing those slugs! Great submission!
This gave me crazy taxi style vibes. I had a hard time getting across the water. Seems the gnomes don't care when I'm honking  Congrats on your submission
I like that you could see the full map behind the magnifier. It makes for a nice depth. Congrats on your submission!
This was great. Tough to beat but beatable! I'm not sure this was a bug or not butI was able to send units from castles that weren't connected by a yellow line. I definitely took advantage of this a bunch to reinforce and attack other castles. Congrats on the submission!
Sick art! I love the chemistry idea of just trial and error.
I love the narrative in the beginning but game is still missing some basic win/loss mechanics. I fell out of the world and had to restart.
Congrats on your submission. Please keep working on this game and participating in future jams!
I love the art and music. The gameplay is relaxing and non-punishing. The mood and concept is great.
It would have been cool if I there was a special power that happened when I got enough ethereal essences. Maybe a super jump or an AOE attack.
Congrats on your submission and I hope you keep working on it!
I really liked the menu screen - the art was great. I enjoyed the fast pace nature of the game. It was really fun having to swap all the characters really quickly to escape the rising water.
I wish the water didn't rise immediately when the level started. It was overwhelming and I couldn't figure out the basic mechanics fast enough. I had to restart multiple times to eventually understand the mechanics then the rest of the level was simple.
Congrats on submitting for the jam!
I love the mood of this game. The balance needs work as others have mentioned. I won pretty easily. Consider adding some sort of mining concept to spawn more powerful skeletons. Consider some wizard beasts as enemies. Congrats on your submission!
I loved this game. Its super addicting. Great balance overall. Is there ever more than 1 customer? I hope you keep working on this project.
I love the running player art and animation. I had a hard time figuring out how to load the cannons but got to level 4 which was cool!
game wasn't launching for me - consider an itch.io mirror!
Great mood! I like the special attack idea of the battle. Well done and congrats on your submission!
game wasn't loading - consider making an itch.io mirror and tagging us!
Versus match 2 was a surprise. I loved the tutorial and difficulty progression. Congrats on your submission!
Game was fun - my favorite part was the snail inspired names. I didn't feel a speed boost getting the leaves but it's cool having to figure out the tradeoff between straight lining to finish line and getting a potential boost.
Would be awesome to have a way to see behind me to see which snails are close to overtaking me.
I wish there was a tutorial. Graphics and idea are great. I couldn't figure out how to cut anything but my own hand. Hope you continue to work on this!
Cool puzzle mechanic. Was fun!
So much depth in this game! I love the art, I love all the interactions with my tamed pets, and I liked the mechanic of taming pets. The ability to play, pet, and feed your tamed pets makes the game so much more fun and has me constantly coming back to check on them!
You should consider adding more detail to the ldjam page to complement the great work you did on itch!
