Would have been nice to know what things I gave the alchemy table No reason to collect garbage
Lovely game :)
This is a really cool concept for a game but there are a few issues with the game play. First of all I`m assuming that i have to put the good stuff on the table. But whats that thing that appears above the table? Is it a recipe? Also where do i put the trash? And I personally find it a little bit annoying when the witches sprite turns back to the front when I`m not moving. Your art is amazing and your game could be as well if just a couple more things were explained or added.
Very nice game! the mechanics is very cool Congrats on your entry
@holyghost @rkhadder thanks for your feedback! i'm aware that the game is a bit unbalanced and there's not much point in collecting the rubbish other than getting more points. maybe i should work on second version of my game or something...
@greenboxgames to bo honest you are the first person to have problem with the recipe - yes, it's showing above the table when you are close to it. i should think more about how to present it well next time, though. and i'm well aware about the sprite going back to the front... but i'm not sure how to make it stay facing other directions. i will do my best to learn how to make it work as it annoys me a bit, too! about throwing the trash away - it's said in the instruction to throw it into the fire... but maybe it doesn't really look like a fire, haha? i had a bit of a problem how to explain it better. thank you very much for your feedback!
@zozol no problem, continue improving and making games.
Cute game, really nice pixel art and the music was decent and fitting, would have been nice to get more feedback from our actions though, like having a little explosion when throwing a potion in the cauldron, or a puff of smoke when you finish making a potion, stuff like that. As someone who also likes working with pixel graphics and such I'd consider teaming up with you if you did another jam

@gexalmighty thanks for your feedback! yeah, i would totally add some sounds if i had more time. or some custom particles. i'm glad you like my art, i think doing a game together is totally possible? never worked with anyone remotely during a jam, though, but it sounds like a nice idea
This game is cool and the pixel art is great ! I just didn't understand where I had to put the trashes at first. But it's a really nice entry!
Nice game.
The concept is diferent from what I have seen so far (probably 7 games). The main problem is feedback of actions, what making confusing.
What I can sugest, for future projects, is give clear and immediately response, cloud be a sound, or a change of color. Like in the calderon and the fire change the color when interect correct.
On the alchemist table, show what item I already put to make the potion.
And another thing is I don't when I have to many trash in the room, if this is a defeat condition.
Everything else (visual, gameplay and music) it's very fine.
Art style is nice, especially i like cute tutorial and winning screen. Music suits very well. Also idea approach ludum 42 theme clearly. Your have done really great job.
Suggestions: 1) spawn less interactable garbage objects but more backgound sprites ( eg multicoloured puddles) for messy mood in scene 2) speed up character for more fun :) 3) its hard to undestand which ingredient have been delivered to table. So it would be nice to see collected components on surface. add a second alchemy table for clarity. one table = one potion preparation place
Love the pixel art and the music! It took me a while to figure out where to put the ingredients and where to put the trash, but after I figured it out it was fun running around. The trash seemed to spawn a little too fast to make it feasible to throw it all into the fire so gameplay wise the balance was a bit off, but on my second playthrough I managed to make it to the end anyway. Thank you for this game, it has great atmosphere and I enjoyed this entry a lot!
Cool arts!
I like this game.
Fun game, I didnt quite realize how important potions were at first, but I've managed to destroy the cauldron fairly quickly in my second playthrough. I've made a video about it as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rA4FYA7w4yY

I know it was previously discussed, but yeah, the game balance is a bit off. It's like there's no room for error and you have to constantly move perfectly and collect the same items. :smiley_cat: Anyways, I did like the art (very cute!) and music. Music reminded me of touhou soundtracks. Nice job!
Hard as hell! But good concept, the art is especially wonderful! Great job overall! Thanks for sharing! :D
@tjakka5 this video is not forking for me, unfortunately :(
thank you all for your feedback! i'm glad you enjoed the game despite some problems, i think i will try to balance the game better soon
@zozol Whoopsie, my bad. Should be fixed now!
@tjakka5 yep, it's working now. thank you for taking your time to play and record it!
I like the cute pixel art used for this game, particularly the witch character. I feel like the game's feel could be improved with better visual or audio cues so you can quickly tell the difference between ingredients and trash, and so you know when you've completed a potion without having to stare at the little item box.
Really digging art and music here! What would make game really nice is more feedback on actions, like showing that garbage is burning or potion is spawned.
