Cool usage of 2d and 3d! I like the vibe of that city.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD56 → Creature Stealer

Cool usage of 2d and 3d! I like the vibe of that city.
Great art style and animations, I wanted to explore the world. Some more gameplay needed, but I can see where you are going with it and I like it.
Love the artstyle. gameplay is a but clunky but i like the vibe.
The blend of 2D/3D was really nicely done, though it was somewhat difficult to determine the attack range/timing to hit a creature without getting damaged
impressed by the graphics and i feel like with more polish and depth it will be great
Cool vibe! Feels more 70's to me. Had a hard time with the capture mechanics.
Love the art style! Reminds me of Paper Mario, which is one of my favorite games :) I did have some trouble figuring out the reach on my net for capturing creatures, so I was not able to get the one in the park before he killed me :p
The mood is enjoyable and I like the character designs and environment! I wanted to play more, but I had trouble getting past the second mission because I kept dying while trying to weaken the mushroom guy. I think a little bit more reach on the attack would be helpful.
Thanks for sharing!
Really cool entry! I loved the art style (there were a few spots where perspective/sorting was weird), and overall theming of the game! I found the gameplay of attacking/capturing could use a bit of tweaking to make it clearer where the hitboxes were and what was working. Overall a good entry, keep on making games!
Neat blend of 2D and 3D!
Love the music, I really felt like a disco criminal
@khaotom Well let's say I fixed this small mistake by changing the description ? lol You're right we are planing to work more on the fight phases. Thanks for your review !
Nice atmosphere and art
atmosphere is bulochka s sosiskou
The art, sounds and ambience are great and the concept fits well the theme.
The hitboxes were a bit hard to figure out which made the combat feel a bit too hard, also when sleeping at the hotel i lost a ton of HP :D
That said, the game was quite enjoyable! Keep up the good work! <3
the game has a great vibe! It's funny and the artstyle is great! I would have liked some more action gameplay, but I really enjoyed it still! good job!
game wasn't launching for me - consider an itch.io mirror!
I liked the style of the game, it was quite interesting to play
Looks and sounds great core gameplay is a bit rough though.
Great vibe, had a bit of a rough time with hitboxes at first but once I figured it out it was enjoyable to play :D
Nice cute little city! I'm not sure whether I was catching things or just killing them as their health bar still goes down with left click? Otherwise fun experience. I like the music and the unique artstyle
Very pleasant looking game ! There is just the net that is behind every 2D element. Also as a lot of persons said, it's very dificult to understand the hit boxes. Except that, good job !
The net weirdly appears behind other items. Hit boxes also felt off to me. Really like the aesthetic. I think the levels could maybe loop around to make the seams less intrusive, though I understand that could be difficult depending on the engine.
Visuals are lovely and the spritework is super cute for the theme. The gameplay was definitely a bit hard to get working, between hitboxes and out-of-place invisible walls in the streets. Interesting idea too, nice work!
Cool noir atmosphere and 2d/3d, had a bit of trouble with the hitting mecchanics
Nice game! I like the mix of 2D and 3D art. The concept is fun and the music is really nice. The only issue I had is that attacking/catching creatures feels a bit clunky. All in all I had a good time playing your game, nice work! :)
Love the art style and the music! The hitboxes are a little weird but that's just how game jams go :P Making the car location clearer would've been nice, I ended up checking a ton of taxis by accident. Nice job!!
Aesthetics are superb! Really enjoyed the world, except for those invisible walls. Could just put buildings or some fences in there, it would feel more natural. Would also love more feedback on dealing/taking damage (some flashing, some sfx), so my own death is not so surprising
The hotels feel really expensive.
Really liked the style and the overall vibe. Was a little confused on what to do from time to time.
This could really grow into something! I like the atmosphere and the overall level, but as of now gameplay and activities seem lacking.
Nothing was happening when trying to capture/attack/interact with the cat on the garbage can. I could have missed something. However the rest of the game was beautiful and very crisp!
Love the 2D / 3D style, good job!
I never managed to hit or capture the creature in the park, though the one in the garbage can was really easy. So, I did not discover much of the game, but even like that I saw some little problems.
The net in the hand of the hero is always drawn behind the other paper objects, even if it is supposed to be at the front.
Every time I see a game with WASD I'm afraid, because I don't have a qwerty keyboard and I'm wondering if it will work or not. It worked with your game. Then I pressed the "E" key to open the trash can and it didn't work. I had to switch my keyboard to qwerty to make it work. It's the first time I see this: some of the keys work as expected with my keyboard, some others not.
2D/3D style with a camera that can't turn is a good idea. Except when there is a tree just in front of the camera preventing you from seeing anything. Then the creature in the parks repeatedly hits you and goodbye.
I loved the music, though. It's the first LD56 game I play with such a polished music.
Good music and fun concept - as a kid, I always wanted a game where I could play as Team Rocket :D
Great game, nice matching with theme, keep going
