LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Reverse Pacman by euske 2024-10-11T15:33:11Z

Definitely an interesting take on the concept. I enjoy anytime a game is taken and turned on its head like this. I couldn't get little Pac Man to avoid those ghosts long enough, but keep up the creativity! Style was pretty neat looking as well.

Tiny meat boys by Byzilio 2024-10-09T19:14:01Z

This game is incredibly creative and I probably have played it more than any other jam game so far. For some reason it gave me nostalgic Lemmings feelings, though both games are obviously quite different. With a little bit of expansion and some polish I think you could really have something going on here. Great job!

Chirpy's Adventure by DJTequila 2024-10-09T15:46:14Z

This was a pretty cute game. I should have read the controls a little more carefully before I started, but when I finally realized there were THREE color changes then I got going better haha. The platforming almost reminded me of playing Roblox with my son. I didn't experience camera issues like the user above, but my last run unfortunately ended with a raising/lowering platform coming down on my head and then shoving me under the map when I tried to jump. Also, my life became much easier once I realized I could kill the other baddies (I think I was just missing a lot at first). My main suggestion would be that the center/pivot point of the cricket seems like it's focused around its back/tail section, which seems kind of off. Controlling it might be a bit easier if it's in the center more. Great job!

Every Corner by shp 2024-10-08T17:24:11Z

This one was really need. I liked it a lot and came back to it. Unfortunately I got stuck (not physically, but just couldn't find where to go), but I really liked the innovative theme of it all. Real nice job.

Tiny "Daemons" by davidsheadgames 2024-10-08T15:57:24Z

Very interesting. I have to hand it to you, at least it's a very original idea and something to expand on in the future. Seems like a lot of work went into this. I like the idea of being able to queue up actions.

Tiny Balance by SolidHinken 2024-10-09T16:35:54Z

That was a pretty cute game, and more importantly original. It took way too long for me to realize that leaning forward/backward changed the speed, but once I figured that out it was smooth sailing. I also noticed that pressing the space bar adds and removes the trench coat and the hat. Does that do anything? Either way, great job and keep it up!

Gut Check by matt1will 2024-10-09T15:54:45Z

This was a neat little idea and I hope that you expand on it. It took a little experimenting to find out what was actually going on (I just used all of my cards ASAP at first and didn't know how to get new ones lol), but the next time around I kind of let it idle on one of my screens for a bit. I can definitely see a card based observation sim like this having some promise, though. Keep it up!

Chumini: Tiny Army by Guilloteam 2024-10-09T15:09:46Z

This is a pretty well polished and great take on the genre, especially for a little game jam. I am impressed. It's nice to see that you've innovated on the recipe a bit to add some gameplay features that are new and haven't been seen (at least to me). Nicely done and again, real impressed with the amount of polish and features like a leaderboard that have been included for such a relatively short span.

Forest Fighter 3000 by Zype 2024-10-11T15:30:05Z

I always like to see people starting to make games and figure things out for themselves. That's half the fun! I thought the graphics were pretty charming, but as others have mentioned, the lack of sound is something you guys might be able to address. Also, I unfortunately never found out how to shoot. Keep it uP!

Bug Bounty by woona 2024-10-08T15:45:05Z

This was great! A tried and true guaranteed for a fun time. I was killing it and then dropped the ball at the last moment, unfortunately. So close! Good job though.

Small Problems To Grapple With by Tetracold 2024-10-09T15:36:54Z

First of all I have to say that I absolutely love this art style. I want to see more of that in many more games, for sure, so keep that up. Overall it was a neat little game. My distance was 64 and I had kind of hit a ceiling and kept getting ganked by the enemies and knocked back down, and I'm pretty sure the water level was about to catch up to me, but in my frantic clicking I unfortunately clicked a link on my tool bar and switched pages lol, so I'll say 64 was my score. Great job!

Run Lilliputes by Niewrsis 2024-10-08T15:55:04Z

Nicely done. I kept getting stuck and wasn't really sure what I was supposed to be doing, but I think you have something there! Gj

Vortex of Life by Chenlola108 2024-10-09T15:04:31Z

This seems like a really interesting idea, and I liked the voice over at the beginning, but the embedded player isn't properly sized so it takes a lot of scrolling. I think you need to adjust the viewport dimensions in itch to that of your game's resolution. Other than that it's pretty intriguing.

Bacterial by Webberiel 2024-10-09T17:56:23Z

Nice little idea. Once I figured out what I was doing I started cruising on it. I liked the music a lot, as well.

Kill The Tiny (Ron's Nightmare) by RaeTheWizrd 2024-10-08T16:51:47Z

Haha dang, it's crazy how much a few sound effects can add to an atmosphere. Creepy. I dug it, though. I feel like maybe the player needs a little more visibility, or the creatures could ramp up their speed, starting a bit slower at first. I'm sure it's something you could learn to get really skilled at after many plays, but it's pretty stressful and fast to be thrown in the first couple of times! Great one.

Cell Hell by VanLou 2024-10-08T16:54:42Z

Pretty good. Nice and simple and I honestly played it a bit more than I thought I would at first. I got: Score: 374 Phase: 3 Seconds: 74

Well done!

Mousetrap by SBzellex 2024-10-09T17:37:35Z

Pretty nice little game. I like that the mechanics of it were creative and innovative and not just another clone. I definitely think that you have something here. My only suggestion would maybe be an option to "pick up" or "hide" the cheese momentarily, the thought being to stop the mouse. I had to trap it against the side of a wall to stop and think a few times. Good job!

Ready, Set, Escargot! by andymetoo 2024-10-08T16:45:25Z

Thanks all for the comments! Glad you could enjoy and not take it too seriously, as was intended. :) Regarding a comment above about the speed boost...it's there, I promise, but it's like 1-2%. It's enough to get you over the line first in neck-and-neck, but don't waste your time going too far out of your way! Cheers all.

Tiny Terrors by ArtAllester 2024-10-10T16:04:34Z

Pretty nice little game, but it was kind of difficult to aim and to see where the bullets were going. I feel like the aim was pointing at the direction of the player/WASD keys and not at the nearest enemies? Maybe I'm wrong. And others have already mentioned the music, so I won't. :) Other than that, this one was nice and the theme and imagining that happening in real life was pretty funny. Nice!

Tiny Spider by Mamkinshenok 2024-10-09T17:32:26Z

Unfortunately the build doesn't load on this page and the itch link is a 404.

Squeak-Squeak by SioSti 2024-10-09T16:45:09Z

Unfortunately, like others are saying, the game is just an untextured capsule with a few objects place in it. The amount of work you put into your itch page makes me think that there's more to this game and perhaps you uploaded the wrong file or built the wrong scene. If so, that's a bummer.

Spud Customs by Lost Rabbit Digital 2024-10-08T16:09:27Z

Great! A great recipe for fun thematically reimagined. Something is always so satisfying about using those stamps. Pretty impressive you got this together for such a relatively short jam. I enjoyed it and keep up the good work.
