Have fun!
The game loop looks like it can be fun (and a good play on the theme)! I encountered a bug where the enemies don't remove your last heart, so I was unsure what was and wasn't an enemy (I assumed some were pickups because they didn't hurt me)
Pretty good. Nice and simple and I honestly played it a bit more than I thought I would at first. I got: Score: 374 Phase: 3 Seconds: 74
Well done!
Nice twist with the shield which you can save in order to remove more enemies later. Funny thing was that going diagonally is faster (next time cap the vector magnitude at 1 :D).
Nice idea and i love the art as well!
cute game. could be clearer in what is a pickup and what is an enemy. but i enjoyed the gameplay. pretty fun stuff. and the atmosphere is also pretty good.
Good job! It's a funny little game you made. My final score was 402.

I really like the idea, I had fun playing several games again, I don't know if the diagonal movement which is faster is intentional, but it ultimately adds strategy to the game here, it just lacks a little invincibility when you get hit to avoid losing in one go if there are several creatures around
I noticed with the way you're handling player movement, the player actually moves faster when moving diagonally, you probably just need to normalize your direction vector. Overall a fun game, nice entry!
The game is very interesting and challenging!I can only achieve phase 4 QAQ. However, I find a interesting trick: Walking diagonally is much faster than walking straight. So in theory, if I keep moveing diagonally, it will be easier to escape from the enemies :v: I love this game :hearts: (BTW, I also have a jam work. If you can have a try and leave some suggestions, we will be very grateful! THX! )
I made it through 4 or 5 rounds without a shield because I completely forgot how to use it. I mistook a blue square on the screen for a shield and tried hiding in the upper right corner, wondering the whole time why it wasn't doing its job. Hahaha!
The graffiti style is quite cute, but the game is a bit boring to play, as there isn't a clear goal that motivates you. Just competing for survival time isn't quite enough. Additionally, the movement of all the cells feels a bit stiff and not as adorable as it could be.
Solid game, played it a few times.
The only thing I wish it had was maybe have the shield recharge faster each time you collect a virus. That'd make the later stages feel more like you're being rewarded and more incentive to keep collecting.
Nice work.

Interesting take on the theme. I liked the art style, and the phage's movement pattern can be challenging to deal with. I did take advantage of the fact that you move faster diagonally though, but overall it's a good experience! Screenshot 2024-10-09 at 11-08-11 Cell Hell by brdyy.png
I was expecting more games related to the world of cells—it fits the theme perfectly. As for the game itself, I liked it. The visuals and relatively simple mechanics make you obsessed with the game from the first seconds. Well done!
The gameplay had a great balance between simplicity and complexity. The shield mechanic was a nice touch, I tried to save it for the tough moments when monsters are bunched up. The quick diagonal movement gives an advantage in escaping from enemies - I used it all the time! 😂
At first I didn't realize that you need to pick up items, but once I figured it out, everything fell into place. 🕹️ Kudos to the developer - you did a good job! 👏
This is a really nice game! I had lots of fun, especially with the shield. I liked how I had to go between running and attacking when I could. Loved it!
The concept is cell which really fits the theme! and the sound effect is so satisfying. Nice game!
Nice and Simple game, great job!
Really nice and simple, the controls thing was really helpful, would like the option to go to the main menu to access the controls and how to play again. I think the way you implemented combat is really interesting with having a shield that can destroy enemies happen occasionally rather than it be "round them up and hold shoot". I can see people try to go for higher and higher scores. If you make a post jam version maybe add upgrades and/or more enemies? nevertheless it's a good spin on what is an already common type of game. Good job!
I love the concept and find the mood very enjoyable. At the beginning it was hard for me to distinguish the enemies and the goals, but after I figured it out the game was super fun!!! Great job!
My record is score:1027 & phase 6. Nice avoider game. That virus cell disrupts my act but the others could be dealt with.
This was fun! I noticed that diagonal movement was the way to go as it seemed to move faster than just x or y movement (not sure if that was intentional). I really liked the variety of enemies. The ones that try to predict movement really added some complexity. Nice job!
Pretty fun. I did have a bug where I would never lose the last heart so I could just run infinitely, invincible somehow. Tense game.
My body would have never survived phase 4, but it will last like about 96 seconds apparently!
I was praying to the timer to give me the shield, having fun with this
