Swoosh Swoosh. It's a fun little puzzle game, I like the concept. I fell this game would be much more popular on mobile (with some polish)
Fun game with good graphics and a good concept well exploited. I don't really have any complaints, I'd be surprised if this did not make the top 50.
Very polished game, the graphics are really nice, the game is fun, innovative and the controls are fluent! Good job! The design of the game is well done and it easy for a new player to grasp how to play! Good job!
The game's physics are nice it's nice to go in orbit very far and then land on another planet far away. I kind of got stuck quite early I believe, I got the third item or the iron (bucket?) at the eastern part of the map and was stuck there.
Great mood and great graphics! Good work! The controls are really nice, sadly my computer does not seem to handle shooting that well.
Nice game, the exploring part is really well done, the tile flipping is really a small effect that's really impressive in a jam. Good work overall I enjoyed quite alot!
nice game, nice concept, I think expanding the game would be worthwhile
Nice game I enjoyed the music! I like games like this that asks you to think. The difficulty curve is good and the puzzle are not too hard but just enough!
Nice sounds like I'm not the only one using LibGDX! The game is fun, I kind of got stressed when one of my girls almost died but she barely made it! Good job! The audio is good, the game is fun and the graphics are nice!
Very innovative, I'm very impressed by the transition when you change zones, great work  ! I tried breaking those enemy spawner while going in a new zone without taking the get bigger thing. I could shoot it but not break it, then when I got the get bigger thing they broke. Not sure if that was intended but I enjoyed the game anyways!
It's fun to play with, I guess this is more a simulator than a game, I already had a few classes about this stuff so I didn't really bother to make something huge. I think it plays well, good job!
yay I did on my first try with 3 years left. It was fun and stressfull. I think the game is nice, but I'm still not sure what (lumber?) and what to appears to be coffee does. I started by going nuclear in the desert and fishing to the maximum with something like 650 inhabitants. At one point all the fishes died and my population plundged to 200, so I used the water for more production! The fishes started to reappear (thats a nice polish) but I still focused on maximum production since I had just a few years left. Finally my rocket launched with 3 years left!
Nice I like hex games too! Pretty neat, I think you should add graphics and would make a nice android game!
Very innovative game, I like puzzles, I was not able to succeeded though. I wonder if it is possible to rotate tiles? I'm not sure what the meters in the bottom left mean, I understand there's one for each color and it's base on the quantity, but I don't understand their use... I think if you added more puzzles this would make an excellent android game!
Nice little game, the sharknado was a great add that made the game much more fun! good submission overall
Love the art, but I am not too sure where to go, I often get blocked by invisible walls!
Very nice transitions, the art is really beautiful and it is very relaxing. I think adding particles while shaking and a few other scenes would be very fantastic!
One of my favorites! My only complaint is that you don't handle collisions correctly, if you throw full force at a spring it will just pass through! Anways thanks for your submission I had a great time playing it, wished there were more levels!
Good controls, it would be good to expand with maybe stuff in the sky!
I like this game alot! It's challenging, fun, relax and makes you think. The game mixes the 'breed stuff to get new stuff to breed' genre in a puzzle game which makes it much more interesting. Good job!
Fun game, audio is nice, I like the fact that you changed music when going deeper, I got a bit confused when I got the drill and thought I was stuck with it but realized I could switch back! Good game!
Interesting simulation, could had been fun if it would had been developped into a game, maybe adding some difficulty and objectives.
The idea is very innovative and the art is very nice great work
pretty fun game, I really like the idea of having bullets going at you with your own gravity and you can use that mechanic in order to kill your enemies! I think this is a good game with a good mechanic well exploited! Good job!
Very fun game, the umbrella mechanic is very enjoyable and easy to use, but once the enemies go on the boat I usually die. It should be easier to kill them on the boat. Anyways good game and I loved the music!
It does not work for me on Window 7 64bit, the game looks interesting and I'm happy you did a LD with a 3d custom engine, I'll give it another try on Ubuntu 16.04
Works on Ubuntu 16.04, unfortunately I was not able to throw candles (mouse left?). So I was kinda stuck at the beginning, IIRC this is a custom engine and the mood is really nice! Good job!
This is one of my favorite game! The controls are quite hard, but I think it is part of what makes the game fun! The idea is innovative and the graphics fit quite well. I liked the fact that you could get other people's weapon, but I did not understand the point of throwing weapons! Good submission !
Very fun game, I like you guys mixed a card game with a physics sandbox simulation, it was really fun to play with, one of my favorite submissions!
Great game overall, I thought the spawn is a bit too close to your stack size at the start (maybe the distance should decrease overtime) Great entry its definitely in my favorites!
Cool idea cool concept and fun, it's a bit too dificult for me and I really thought the three second countdown at the start being a real pain everytime I pressed R I had to wait for no reason. Thanks anyways other than that I really enjoyed it
Interesting game I like how you used a torus in a jam. Good work!
This could be a fantastic android game I enjoyed it alot, this is my first 5 fun rating!
Neat game, I like the art style
Very fun game with innovative concept. The dialog is very funny, good job!
@sevmi Nice! You will need to try a bit harder as the current world record is ~~76~~ 81! Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it
@anarbitrarymustache Thanks alot! I'm currently working on an Android version of HexCity and it will have multiple levels! I am glad you enjoyed playing! :)
@flaterectomy Yes, if you hover on sand tiles and forest tiles it explains that the forest tiles are worth double the points and sand tiles 0, you can build on them and you probably simply made in invalid move while trying to place buildings on them. Water tiles can't be built on though. Thank you for playing I appreciate the feedback :)
Thank you everyone for the great feedback
@unit684 I'm glad you enjoyed it
>I think if you were to develop this more, perhaps start with some smaller levels and only a couple of buildings and build it from there. Different types of tiles that can only contain certain buildings might be interesting. Different level layouts would also change things up a bit.
I'm currently working on an Android version and everything you said there will be in it
Fun game, unfortunetally I don't understand level 3, a sheep spawns next to the border and slides away. The game is pretty fun a the fact of balancing a disk of sheeps while being a somewhat shepherd on turtle is very creative. The controls on keyboard are kinda hard, I would imagine seeing this game on a mobile device using the gyro to move the turtle. Anyways good work!
Hey I had to try your game Phil! I'm absolutely amazed on how the game looks! It really is a 5 out of 5 graphics :astonished: Gameplay wise I wasn't sure what to do until I realized I was getting smaller and smaller each time I went throught a speicific door, the concept is interesting, but I wish I could run . Because I was really moving slowly with that key in my hand. I had a few collision glitches, like the first time I went throught a door. I thought I had to left click the door with the key when I was big, the key disappeared and I don't know if something happened. Anyways good game! I'm awaiting the leg shaving!
Had some fun with my brother, adding more mechanics could be interesting good submission overall
Pretty fun, I got stuck at level 16. The difficulty curve is not really well done as the level don't really scale difficulty. The level 6 can be skipped other than that I enjoyed the art style and the catchy beat. The concept is innovative and well executed, I had alot of fun and would recommend.
The music was really good and the graphics are very enjoyable! The movement is kind of awkward because it is tile based and I got stuck at the trash part since I never found the trash.
Nice entry! I enjoyed the game quite alot but I don't see the purpose of shooting, since you can just spam the button and you are immuned to alot of stuff.
Nice idea, but it is really hard! I tried to get score, but not being in negative is hard. I wish the rocket would launch a bit more and it would be cool to have maybe a moon that would orbit and the rocket could be attracted to the moon's gravity. I think the concept is nice, and would be much better with an update
Interesting game, kind of dizzy since you need to spin alot to have a decent idea on what is going around. It is quite challenging. Good first entry it would be nice with a bit more building types
Very fun game, but it is kinda hard at the start. It's a nice game
Great work a bit easy though, the password thing was a really bad design imho. I don't think the game needs a password to be finished especially when the password is a ludum dare theme, it would had been much more fun if it would had been a boss fight or something like that. Other than that I really like how you mixed a 2D world in 3D graphics, the art is unique and I really like it! Good submission
Very good looking game, it would be probably be more fun with additional blocks and a square map not a round one! Good entry!
Neat game! The music is so happy while the towns are getting destroyed haha! Good submission!
Very good mood, the audio makes it really relaxing. The game is quite fun, but I find the controls a bit hard, it's hard to stretch especially when the cell "explodes", i'm not sure if the explosions are a bug or are intended
Very good job I'm happy a rogue like made the compo. I played it a while, I wish there were more enemies to diversify combat a bit, it didn't really feel like a small world as the maze was pretty big, but I enjoyed it anyways
Fun game, got 180 700, I have no clue on how that compares. The music is good, the graphics are nice and its fun.
The art is nice, the game and sound is relaxing, it feels prototypish and I think it would be a good idea to continue it a bit. I played it longer than expected, building my own little world
This is a very fun game and challenging, I wish I had more people to play with me. I never won the the concept is really great, good job!
I'm glad I found someone else that did his game with LibGDX! Anyways the game is pretty nice, I like how you tried to make a night effect, I think the UI should not be hidden. The game was alot easier once I discovered I could middle mouse to move (lol). I think the game is a bit too challenging at night one, I did not have time to defend myself :(
Cool game, love the art, not sure if the pixelisation was intended but it's pretty cool
Wow this is by far one of my favorite compo game, good work! You should definitely upload some screenshots, I have a hard time believing I'm only the second comment! I gave a 5 in humor and it really deserves more. The audio is nice the graphics are really nice and the best is all the ant jokes :) I couldnt really play the game since the first day I struggled to find food (realized it was just at the left) and didnt bring a single one. Anthena died :( The second day I could not find dirt and got slowed down, I don't know where to eat. If you could reply to me with clarifications I will play it again! Good job :)
Nice idle clicker, the graphics are really nice. The music is really relaxing, I like how you added spiders to make it slightly less idle. Good work!
Neat I love ant games
This is easily one of my favorite compo games. I really like the art style and the small polish details that you've put into it : when you die you can see some particles. The game is really hard, like really. It took me a while to finish the first level and when I realized that when I died I restart at level 1 and that the gas persists between levels I realized that the game was much harder than expected. I really liked the fact that you added gravity to obstacles, it really makes the game more fun, especially since you can land on some obstacles!
I'm impressed, it's a very nice game, I really like the concept. The only thing is that the game is really confusing if you have not read the drive sheet. Other than that great job! +1 for linux port
I'm very impressed that you guys were ambitious enough to do networking in a jam, the game works well and no bugs! It may not be the game I enjoyed the most, but it is definitely one of the most impressive! Great work!
@hekateras the reason why it freezes at each wave is the pathfinding is a bit slow. When we spawn enemies at the beginning of the wave, the game does all the pathfinding in one frame. We were aware of this issue but we didn't have time to fix it as our last few hours were spent maximising the fun of the game.
@rhanzoc Interesting! we all developed on Linux so this is a bit odd. We were 3 of us on Ubuntu and one on Arch, what is your distro?
Would have been good to scroll with mouse!
Looks great! I'm not sure if it's a bug but like 80% of the medkits weren't coming towards me
The minimap is a cool feature! I thought the controls were a bit hard. i suggest in a future iteration you space the trees more and make it so our truck can turn faster. Would also be more fun if trees extinguished much faster and the fire spread faster. Because right now the game doesn't have that much action at this speed
I used the screen clearing spell and enemies just stopped spawning.
This is the best game I've played so far. Music, graphics are great. The game is fun and feels pretty polished. Buying new guns, upgrading them and building towers is satisfying while the theme is well respected. Good job guys!
Nice game! Art and music is great! Game was a bit too easy I didn't understand what the theme was about until after finishing the game I saw that in the game pics the water rises. Maybe I was too fast
Game was a way too easy, got 100/100 on my first try. I didn't think I was delaying the inevitable. I felt like I was obliterating flies. But the graphics are pretty cute and I had a fun time playing it! Also music is great!
I finished all the levels! It was a great experience, I do think that some levels were too easy while some were randomly hard (especially 5) as the mechanic was not really introduced beforehand. Overall one of the best games Ive played so far in the jam
I absolutely love the art style!! This game looks great!
got 6:31
When the archer shoots the enemy get pulverized so far  The ragdoll effect is hilarious
The game itself is cute, it has a nice soundtrack and graphics and the controls play well. But I think there's an issue in the game design of collecting objects just to increase a counter. I think adding more variety to the game, beyond speeding up the timer could have been interesting. Was definitely a hard theme to work with but generally players prefer to "expand" and "grow" instead of delaying a defeat.
Pretty good mechanic
Felt just like playing Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes!
Any chance to get a Linux build? I want to try this!
Any chance of a Linux build?
Yeah I only have Linux, many people here seem to use Windows so I end up playing the Linux and web builds only lol @velvetlobster
This was super fun! Glad you added the web version! I was able to cheese the game by just going on the ledge, aim straight and hold the mouse but it was fun and cute regardless! Well polished
Cool game! Although I feel like it's a bit too close to the flash game Learn to Fly.
I like the fire burning has a cost and a reward. Good mechanic
Don't forget to add the source code in the download links! Game graphics and audio look great!
I thought the game was a bit too easy as I just tanked the boss and didn't die. I think the dialogue was pretty unnecessary, would have been nice to have an option to speed it up at least. But I liked the particle effect on the super charge!
The pixel art is amazing, I gave 5/5 for graphics, but I cannot give a good grade for the theme because the execution needs more thinking.
If you make something turn-based and the player just sits for 10 seconds, it's a boring mechanic. Wouldn't the game be significantly more fun if the player didn't wait 10 seconds? It's a good idea but the theme was just inserted to make the game worse, not better. To be fair, the theme was challenging, but a big part of the jam is to design around this.
I actually think your guys idea is great if it had something slightly changed. If the timer was super short instead of super long (ofc this doesnt work for this jam), I think the game would actually be fun (say 1 second at the beginning and becomes 0.1 seconds eventually). I think the game would play somewhat similar to crypt of the necrodancer without the beats. If you guys wanna keep working on it that direction might be a good one.
Also I don't see the source code.
Hey your source code is empty on GitHub, can you make sure you push the code?
I haven't figured out how to scan items, I can rotate them and see the bar code, what's the next step?
I'm such a fast doggo ballz cutter that I have to wait. Interesting concept but game gets kinda lame if you have to idle 8 seconds for each dog that spawns. Perhaps there should have been additional mechanics to increase the complexity of the ball separation gameplay.
Fun puzzler with a really nice cute kawaii UwU style. My main criticism is that I'm constantly for the 10 second timer to cool down, the game would be more fun if the player could just switch colors at will instead of waiting every 10 seconds, but that's theme right.
The graphics are just amazing, wow
any chance a linux version comes out?
Is it possible I bricked myself by placing a road and surrounding it with non-roads? Because now I can't place any other roads
The game is a bit too easy. It's a bit slow and it crashed. I got to turn 74 (crashed) but was making more than enough to meet the deadlines. Capture.PNG
The game is very fun though. I think it's quite solid, but needs some tweaking. Avoiding your road getting blocked is a bit annoying. Also you die if you would have enough at the end of your turn. The mechanics are fun and work well together, the lighthouse creates an exploration-exploitation tradeoff. The only useless resource is fish which I converted all the time for gold. It would be cool to have a bulldozer so I could remove my lighthouses or unmess my road.
Thinking again, I think this game would benefit by being redone in a hexagonal grid. Tiles would have more neighbors. Which would make neighbor interactions less awkward like the town and road and would give more options to the player to snake it around.
What is the money used for? I couldnt find how
I played this game in local multiplayer and it was fun. I think the RNG mechanic was not fun. Both players should have the option to use all tools. In the small maps there was a huge advantage to playing first and picking middle but not in the large map. Are weeds to kill weeds always better than rocks because they cost nothing?
Can you please open-source the code of this game? I want to read the code of the bot which we find quite strong. Is there some alpha beta pruning going on or is it a state machine?
Fish were clicked
I like the system of the market I thought it was pretty cool because I could save the parts from one round and sell them on another so it added some strategy, Good mechanic
Played once, got 1014, it's good. There's some improvements that would make the game better. Consider showing the next piece like Tetris does, this would add a layer of strategy to the game. Allowing us to rotate crops too would be helpful.
I like this game a lot. I love conway's game of life. The game is quite hard. Level 3 was challenging but level 4 I'm just stuck lol
This is a great game, I actually had a lot of FUN. I rated 5 stars FUN as it was excellent in that aspect. I really like this entry because its kinda silly but also actually fun to play
Unfortunately the game window is cropped on firefox
As a tetra hard dropper, I approve of this game
I went boom. This game had great mood and was cute
Got stuck in the final level, this game is great. This is really simple but extremely well polished. On spot with the theme too
The link to the source code doesn't work, it's just itch which doesn't have the source code, can you link the source code.
I'm blind, thanks ! @silkworm-sweatshop
@sweltj Thank you for the kind words, we really appreciate it!
@jeremy-ryan Thanks for the excellent fanart! We are really pleased you enjoyed the game.
From our post-mortem analysis, we do think the timers were unecessary. What happened is that we had two different visions for the game, from different team members. The first one, being a more pure puzzle game without timers where the game would be chill and the player would need to think through the moves. Levels would need to exploit the snail mechanics neatly. The second vision was a hectic game with a lot of snails to manage in parallel. The 12 levels provided with the game were mostly designed to be good puzzles instead of being hectic. We don't think that these two visions are necessarily mutually exclusive but there was not a single good level designed with the second vision, making the timers a pain point for anyone wanting a chill experience.
Great audio. The pixel art for the cover is great but the default Unity UI really doesn't go well. It would have been nice to change that. Also the perspective of the game is really confusing, I think that isometric was not the right choice here, top-down would have been better
Please link the source code for your game I think it's an integral part of the Ludum Dare spirit.
@gord10ahmet Thanks!
Great game, very cute graphics and fun. My only concern is the wind is kind of random. How do I know it goes left or right? I haven't figured that out
Nice game! I think an improvement could be to put the distance to the planet, I was often going wayy too fast lol
This game is a certified classic for any mini-truck enjoyer. The art style is excellent and the controls are nice. I was able to finish the first level with 10 crates stacked :)
Cool game, max I got was 802!
Cool game! got 148, the bat helped a lot!
I love games that are mechanically simple and super well polished! Good job!
Really a cool entry, really different than anything I've played so far. I've never played a game as a news reporter and I see it being a possible genre now!
Love the warioware style mini-games!
Good audio great graphics
This game is definitely HIGH mood! epic puzzle
This is an amazing concept. My buddy @adrien-tremblay literally DM'ed me about this game. I finished it before him. It's a really original concept with interesting levels. Sad it ended so fast! But great entry!
Thank you everyone for the kind words! @adrien-tremblay @mullenratte @valmontechno @woona @hanafl0wer @lelulagames We had planned a score system the entire jam, but in the last hours we hit a massive game breaking crash and spent our time fixing it. The scoring system, the animated version of the spider, and reloading the game (without refresh) had to be cut!
Cute and fun but first boss is super hard
This was a great game! The main issue is that AI was quite dumb, but the rest was great!
