The style of the game is awesome!
It was kinda complicated to navigate in all different UIs The idea and the visuals outweight everything tho :D

Congratulations on finishing the jam with that brilliant work! Gameplay smoothly fits with the jam(space contorl and management) and the art is so cute.
The art of this game is so cute, I really love the style. The gameplay was fun and I really enjoyed running around interviewing people! Amazing job
looks beautiful and cute ^^
Such a cute entry ! The paint artstyle is so cool, and the dialogs are funny, good job !
Super cute game! I really liked the mechanic where you assembled your newspaper, that was a lot of fun! I enjoyed it so much, I wish there was more stories to uncover! Hopefully you keep working on it, and add more to the game. I really liked it! :)
really cool newspaper creation mechanics ^^
A truly unique style! Love it! 😊
really cute game and concept. i couldn't help but sing rabbit derulo in my head 🤣
Very cute art style, really enjoyed the segment where you assemble your newspaper. It's a shame there wasn't enough time to add multiple days, but you've got a solid gameplay loop here. I could definitely see this becoming a bigger game.
Limited space! Somehow I have the urge to give this very high scores in the theme category... Jokes aside, this is a very solid entry with a lot of content, and a very unique art style. Well done!
Such cute art! I'm absolutely obsessed with the style, were the majority of the art assets made with traditional art? Nevertheless, amazing job!
Thank you all for your comments, great to see that you're enjoying our game so much :rabbit2:
@pichiiparu In fact _all_ assets were hand painted in acrylic paint and then scanned for the game - you can see some more details in a [Behind the scenes](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/rabbit-reporter/rabbit-reporter-behind-the-scenes) we posted the other day :)
As others have said the art is really great here! I think it would be awesome if textbox was themed with the same art style. Also I think this is a good idea, limited space on the newspaper is a really unique take on the theme!
Really a cool entry, really different than anything I've played so far. I've never played a game as a news reporter and I see it being a possible genre now!
The rabbit hops as it moves is funny. I like the graphics style.
I like the idea of using hand made art work to create the graphics for the game. It was super simple to play and I liked the little stories you came up with for each character.
Followed this one after seeing the hand-made goodies in the post during active jam phase. It is so unique and exciting to see something crafted by hands to be incorporated in a game, so I really wanted to check it out :) Love the custom cursor, though it might be bit too big to be comfortable enough but is SUPER cute and I still enjoyed using it ^^ Loved the interactive map too, it feels satisfying to use. The mechanic of creating the newspaper was super fun as well and the dialogues are wacky in a good way! :D
I missed some kind of audio, you probably didn't have enough time to add it, but maybe just using some copyright-free music (like from youtube audio library, etc) and still opting out of audio category since it's not original, would be a good temporary solution, and then you can always switch it to the original music after the jam :) I just put on some music on youtube while playing so it's not silent %)
The options being like "find out more" and "not care" are a bit obvious and ofc I am going to choose to talk and not just go away, so it kinda defeats the purpose of the options being there.
Nitpicks/bugs? -Dialogues activate by pressing space even when I am not close enough and the figure is not highlighted by yellow. That's not a huge problem, just noticed after pressing space just for the fun of it xD Then I tested it a bit more and it seems this only works after I already talked to said NPC once.
-I went under the sprites sometimes: spritesRabbit.jpg
-I love how grandma (looking young btw, let me know her beauty routine!) was bragging about her carrots while surrounded by tomatoes XD -Not sure if that's on purpose so we don't fat-finger the choice, but on choice boxes your custom cursor turns into a regular one. -I reckon that's because of a time crunch, but just noting some characters have "names" like "carrot_dress" :)
My newspaper ^^ rabbitPaper.jpg
Good game with a strange concept, but a clever use of the theme. I really liked the mechanic where you assembled your newspaper. Unusual aesthetic for a solid entry. Well done. Thank you. I wish you the best ++
Love the graphic style! So cute!
this is very charming and cute!!!
I love the artstyle choice. when I saw it I instantly wanted to check the game! It's very well done and it really helps it stand out!
I like the use of the theme, it's pretty creative! there's a good variety in what you can put in the news paper as far as subjects and I like that The writing is really good, it got a few chuckles out of me, I enjoyed going around interviewing all characters and everything they had to say!
I would love to see this expanded with more stories to report on and and different plotlines and such
I see a lot of potential here!
👍👍👍😄😄
