LD51 — Every 10 seconds (17)

Tenjutsu by deepnight 2022-10-18T16:20:31Z ♥ 1

Super slick and polished. Great graphics, in particular the animations. Pretty innovative gameplay mechanic, however I didn't particularly enjoy the mechanic, but this theme was a very tricky specific one to work with.

Pretty funny game. Controls need some tuning. Felt a bit like skating on ice. Pretty cool plasticine animation style looking graphics.

Sunk Cost Fallacy by Mara 2022-10-18T15:53:47Z ♥ 0

The hidden object nature of the game has potential but I found the 10 second timer way too short. This is a symptom of the rather specific theme (I had the opposite issue with my game, where 10 seconds was too long).

Quirky cyberpunk game. Twin Peaks x Deus Ex. Awesome aesthetic and atmosphere. Garbage collecting was kinda tedious so didn't see it through to the end even though I was intrigued. Would love to see a lofi cyberpunk narrative walking simulator in this world.

Super polished game. Looks ready to release on mobile. Aesthetic is consistent. Gameplay is good.

Smack Demon by Firebelley 2022-10-18T14:29:13Z ♥ 1

Pretty slick, quick game. Was a bit confused at time as to what was happening. Didn't seem to fit the time theme.

Great graphics. Slick survivor like game.

Good game, but obviously the game has nothing to do with the theme.

10s To Decide by Rob6566 2022-10-18T13:00:44Z ♥ 1

Some good gameplay, though a bit hard to know what was going on with damage and such. Having the fast forward mechanic was a good workaround of the 10 second theme. Would be good to have 2 speeds for the fast forward as the fast forward was maybe a bit too fast.

Nua by Cayurr 2022-10-18T12:41:46Z ♥ 1

Nice graphics. Similar-ish concept to my game. Theme was a bit of stretch as it wasn't real time based (instead it was action points essentially). Was a bit confused as to why the player warps to new maps once time points run out.

Every 10 seconds, mother comes in by lustdante 2022-10-15T13:40:57Z ♥ 1

Cool gameboy-esque graphics. Funny concept. Gets repetitive quick, but fun for a few mins.

Cool aesthetic. Similar concept to my own LD51 game. Found it a bit hard. Maybe the timer is too short (opposite problem to my game where the timer is too long). Adding suitable music would really set it off.

RED RINK by Simon Rahnasto 2022-10-15T13:11:21Z ♥ 2

Awesome graphics. Good music and concept. Reminds me of Tape To Tape. Super polished for just a game jam. With some controls tweaking could be really good.

Dig the aesthetic. Cool concept. Reminds me a bit of End Is Nigh.

Great pixel art graphics. Good music. Struggled with the gameplay a bit.

Cool atmosphere. Mechanic for the theme was good. Dig the minimalism of the silohetted voxel graphics. Boat was a bit clunky to control, but that might be on purpose.

Sailing through life by Chase of Bass 2022-10-15T12:26:58Z ♥ 1

Cool mechanic. Gameplay distracted from the story, so I think you would either want to commit to one or the other, either focus on the gameplay or have it more story focused. Dig the minimalist graphic style.

Hibernaculum by redpanda 2017-05-20T01:42:44Z ♥ 1

I also created a snow globe game, but didn't get as far as your team. This was a very complete experience. It has an innovative control method, but unfortunately the controls made it frustrating. Especially the globe turning. It has nice graphics and music. I think perhaps with a traditional control scheme and a focus on the puzzles, it has potential.

ChronoCombat by omarshehata 2017-05-20T01:25:31Z ♥ 1

It's an interesting concept. The closest I can think of to this would be Superhot (not that I've played Superhot). I'm just not sure how you can win without luck. The gameplay needs some form of restrictions or signals that could give the opposing play some boundaries in which to predict where the player might move next. If you can figure out how to get the main mechanic to be more based on strategy than luck then you could be onto a quite innovative game mechanic here.

One Way Out by Broxxar 2017-01-06T01:30:00

Cool music and atmosphere overall. Controls seemed to work well. Ran sluggish and didn't go full screen for me (kept the windows taskbar at the bottom), but that could be my laptop. Like the concept, but I wasn't smart enough to solve the puzzle.

Panzerantix by CptDustmite 2016-04-17T13:09:00

Awesome. Love the look of it. Colour palette is great. Reminds me of Aliceffekt's colour palette.

Managed to complete it. Only came across one bug (on level 5 or 6 my turret and mine sweeper didn't show up on the tank). Otherwise smooth from start to finish.

My only suggestions: Felt the comedic tone of the writing didn't suit the rest of the tone of the game. A more serious sci-fi tone would be good. A 2x speed option (or just speeding up the turns by default). And an awesome soundtrack of course (not expected within jam time limits).

Overall I reckon it has great potential to be a full game, and would work well on mobile/touch.
