The art in this game is fantastic! and it plays very smooth. It's a bit hard to parse how to move initially, but after a bit you really get the hang of it and it's quite fun!

Best art i've seen so far in this jam
A smooth game with neat graphics and a catch soundtrack. Very well done!
Art is amazing, gameplay is smooth as butter. The theme is well interpreted and the gameplay is fun. Barely anything bad to say about it.
I did find one bug tho. You can leap into the demons square  Also I would recommend you upload the webgl version onto Ludum Dare as well, makes it easier for people to play it Good job!
Super well done!
Awesome little game. Just wished there were more levels :D
Once I figured out what to do (I didn't read the instructions), it was quite fun. The graphics and sound are very well done and the gameplay is great. I could see this being expanded with more enemy types, more powers/abilities, etc. A quality entry.
Well-made game!
That was so fun! I really liked the level design. I was confused at first between "seconds" and "turn" so i was just spam clicking thinking I didn't time it right, but once i figured out that it was turn based the game made more sense to me. Graphics and music matched well together. Great work!
Pretty neat! I wish there was more action and less walking, though. It gets a bit wait-heavy.
Absolutely love this game! I am very glad a leap was added as it can feel like a while just using the singular steps. Overall I think this was a really fun experience and I enjoyed the creative take on the jam, nice one!!!
A simple game with simple mechanics and great delivery! I really enjoyed the strategic element of this game, the idea is great too! I feel like this can be pushed into the app store with some more polish and more levels. and you made it in 12 hours which is even more impressive! great work
A very interesting mini battle CHESS GAME that DOESN'T use the instant 10 seconds but is converted into moves and feels very reasonable as a turn-based game. Although the actions are limited, there is enough strategic depth, and the levels are fun.Well done!
The WebGL version is weirdly laggy on my computer. The Windows version has been run pretty well.
It's a flawlessly clean game. It's amazing that you can create such a high-quality game in 12 hours.
Has the Godot engine contributed in any way to your high productivity? Or just because you are a well-trained game developer?
Very nice Game, well done!
Good game. Cool music, simple but fun gameplay. Design well polished, great job!
cool game
nice work!(check out our game plz!)
This is a cool concept and well executed. Game looks and plays great. I think having some keyboard controls would be great, but apart from that I enjoyed it.
The Graphics and Music are super cool, and everything is very well polished. The Attacks get kind of repetetive after a while, so maybe some other enemytypes could have been fun. But overall this is a fun game.
@benthetwoofus thanks so much! Also thank you to everyone else leaving comments - I don't have the ability to respond to all but I do read all of them and I greatly appreciate it 😁
To answer your question @benthetwoofus I've been developing in Godot for several years now, and I've built up a library of scenes, addons, sfx, and utilities that allow me to rapidly build new games without too much boilerplate code. You can check out the source code to see how I'm doing that. When I'm making a jam game, the vast majority of my time can therefore be spent on the elements that are particular to that game. My experience with Godot also means that I generally know how to build a game in the most efficient way possible given the time constraint. So, in essence, I've just had a lot of practice 🙂 Hope that answers your question! Thanks again!
VERY enjoyable game. I must commend you for competently controlling the scope of your game such that you could achieve a good level of polish - you didn't go overboard, so what's there feels tight and well-designed. Even the scrolling background and transition to the options screen are *chef's kiss*. Doing it in only 12 hours is even more impressive. Kudos!
Very fun to play! I really like the art and concept! Great job!
super polished and addictive!
nice game but I miss the given theme
Wow, great game, especially for making it within 12 hours. Once I figured out what to do, it was really fun to play.
Very enjoyable! The mechanics felt really tight, and overall the game felt nice and juicy. Plenty of great animations and audio feedback to the player. I think that, as a puzzle game, it matched my playstyle well... Which is to say that they weren't very difficult, and could mostly be solved with patience. Perhaps some tighter tuning of the attack patterns would make it feel more puzzle-like, but honestly, I personally really enjoy it just the way it is! Awesome job! :tada:
Quite fun! I like your take on the theme. Kind of an odd complaint but it would have been nice to be able to play with just the keyboard. This could totally be turned into an interesting mini-tactics game of some sort.
Super polished! Had a lot of fun and the art and music is lovely. When there was more than one enemy it felt fun and strategic, but sometimes with just one enemy it felt a little tedious. It would also be nice to be able to cancel your leap without activating the cooldown. Amazing work!
Very fun game and I love the music too!
Wow! This game is super satisfying to play! Getting in and smacking that demon felt great! My sole complaint is that if you clicked on the leap to check your distance, you were locked in to leaping, so maybe making it a toggle would be nice.
I enjoyed the game a lot, took a while to get used to it but then it was a really nice experience, also I'm glad for the source code as I'm also developing in Godot and just started to learn game dev in the past months. Also a big thank you for the great YouTube content, i learned a lot from your videos 🤗 awesome entry 🙏 also thanks for your feedback on my little game 🎮 🥰
I didn't understand at first how the different "abilities" of the knight worked. And I first thought that the daemon was only vulnerable 1 frame at the end of the timer. But once everything is understood, the game is very fun to play! Really great for a 12h game !

This is a nice game ! The art is cool, the gameplay is very nice and there really are interesting tactical choices to make. My nitpick would be that keyboard controls would be a nice addition, but other than that, this is a very good entry :)
Well polished game! The sound effects and music are great, I wished there was an audio category here. I also really liked the visual effects like the how the player moves and the attack animation, it really brings life to the game!
The gameplay is well designed too, giving the ability to skip, leap and block, and really adds much depth to the gameplay, while the cooldowns for leap and block felt fair and balances the abilities well. I like how chaotic it is when there's more than one enemy on the grid and I had to try and find the best route to attack the enemy (which is also partly why I didn't like the levels with separated islands, since they felt like separated levels and are cleared independently).
Nice game! Great art stile and really smooth animations! The gameplay is great, I can see it as a really good game for a mobile device
Really well done for just 12 hours! Now I wish I had gone the turn-based route too
hsdsg.JPG nice game!
Good work getting this done in only 12 hours! Neat little game, good mechanics and nice, clear graphics. Pity it didn't quite fit the theme, but it works better as a game like this. Brilliant work!
Nice visual polish, I like that player, enemy, and fire all move a lot in order to feel alive. The difficulty is decent in that I have to put a bit of thought into my actions, but it's also pretty easy to take 0 damage if you are patient.
At first I underestimate the shield since I thought even if I block the damage of an approaching fire wave I thought the ground would be on fire and I would take damage the turn after. But it destroys the fireball completely and it is pretty effective.
I like the idea of alternating between offense and defense. I think it would be even cooler if the enemies chased you or unleashed stronger attacks during the seconds that they are invulnerable, so that you actually have to run away instead of just standing a few tiles away and hitting skip or shield until they are vulnerable again.
I like how polished this is!
Love the simplicity and the well polished gameplay feels. Amazing entry.
Interesting, I liked the puzzle aspect of it. Good work!
Very simple idea with perfect execution :) Really addicting, seems like a great fit for mobile game
Pretty slick, quick game. Was a bit confused at time as to what was happening. Didn't seem to fit the time theme.
Played on my stream: https://www.twitch.tv/zedkraze
I liked very much!
I already imagined this game with bosses, worlds, treasures and dragons.
The mechanics are very good.
My son and I had a lot of fun!
Congratulations!
This is such an impressive entry. Your Youtube vid brought me here. Also had a look at the 7 principles one. Funny fact... I know most of not all those principles, but somehow never actually succeed in following them... go figure  GL with the ratings :v:
One thing that surprised me a bit ... theme optional - I would have thought judgement would have been harsher on non-themed entries.
This time around my failings were (in no particular order). User input feels off (actually caused by incorrectly placed trigger on the cursor) :face_palm: Steep learning curve (too much going on) Lack of useful tutorial :face_palm: (which I learned in a previous entry as well) Overscoping
Well ... back to your entry... Impressive stuff - nice graphics, nice controls, obvious mechanics.. and within the time frame you actually had. Just impressive.
:purple_heart: :dart: :frog:
Very impressive for a game that was made in 12 hours
