My favourite until now! Great job! :)
Great concept. Reminds me of Aparture Science animations. To make it more hectic you could have little character running around and trying to do your instructions.
Really love the art style, especially when transitioning between levels.
Really cool puzzle mechanic that feels utterly terrifying as the timer counts down
I love the midjourney generated pictures and the 3D artstyle. (: They gameplay itself was OK. But I like how you managed to create a start and an ending. Keep it going.
Nice
This game was a lot of fun! I quite enjoyed re-playing it to optimize my route and find all the tools I needed to escape. The game is well polished also and has some good sound effects for feedback. Nice job!
@denvil Hi, thank you for your comment. Yes, the idea with a running character is great and we are planning to implement it. It's just that during the weekend I failed to finish even the most basic of the assets :<.
Very innovative idea and super fun to play!! It's so intense actually! Love it!
Very nice game :)
i like the perspective and the choice of colors. it was reduced to the essentials, otherwise you would need too much time to search the levels
theme is very well implemented
Exellent color and art!!! Very good game!
really cool game, fun, decently challenging and looks cohesive! great job!
great minimalistic aesthetics
Cool idea, but if there was a little more help in the game, then I would have been sucked in for a longer period. If you develop this idea, I think the game would be a success, many people like this kind of gameplay in conjunction with the survival theme.
interesting idea.. maybe could use queuing the events? not sure.. also it was hard to tell after 'new floor' animation when you can start clicking stuff.. could use some notification or something
The aesthetic is minimalist yet understandable fast and efficiently.
The gameplay is quite fun, but I feel like there is way too much trialand error. How are we suppose to know how long eevery action swill takes ? And how do we know that climbing up the stairs takes 2s (or more...) without dying first ? That kind of removed the fun of the game for me.
The concept is great, good idea !
A background music could have really enhance the modd of the gamer, but I understand that with the jam constraint it is really hard...
This game is really fun and the aesthetic is really nice. It becomes a memorization game to know where the good items are.
I do wish the UI was a lot better. There were times where I felt like my mouse clicks were being ignored, and sometimes the indicator of what can be clicked FEELS finicky.
@dgspitzer, @yoko-san, @faust-mi, @d34th0ftit4n5, @eugenik, @goddoesplaydice, @dusho, @furano thank you all for your comments. We value alot your feedback and ideas you gave us on how we can improve the game. ❤️
I really like the game art, theme, and game play are all top notch, its one of my top 5 from LD51.
I like the idea of mapping out a route through repetition a few of the people I played it with thought it would be better to have some random elements to it. We also noticed there is zero leeway for the timer, I think adding just a few ms of leeway would go a long way to make it feel better to play.
of course not having that leeway gives a bit of a sense of the dread and hopelessness you might actually feel in this situation so if that was intended congratulations!
Nice idea. A little grace period like the previous commenter mentioned would be nice; and if the time stacked instead of resetting each floor, so that you benefit from moving through earlier floors quicker.
@oatsbarley This is a great idea and I wanted to give it a go - it should improve the learning curve.
640 points after only a few tries and my first win ahah Game design is cool, reminds me of mirrors edge smh
@enderswype wow, you did better than me even, well done!
Hi there, I really think that this one is pretty promising as a prototype. Maybe not exactly 10 seconds cap, but overall it might work pretty well. I didn't get why you did use Midjourney to generate art (worth to try probably?) but the game mechanic itself is pretty catchy. Nice one!
Hey @erlioniel, thanks for your review! We used it just for the item icons and start/end screen. I think it looks quite nice, but definitely would not be necessary.
The hidden object nature of the game has potential but I found the 10 second timer way too short. This is a symptom of the rather specific theme (I had the opposite issue with my game, where 10 seconds was too long).
Played on my stream: https://www.twitch.tv/zedkraze
I liked the idea of having to find hidden objects, but it's not always clear what is interactable and what isn't. Sometimes I'm like "ok I found everything, I just need to run out of here ... where do I click?" Good work overall!
