Awesome game! Totally feels like an old arcade cabinet game. The music is amazing, and the gameplay is quite addicting with a nice amount of challenge. Extremely well done!
Wow, this is really, really well made. Very fun, despite I finding it difficult hahaha Congratulations!

This was a lot of fun! I love the merging of a memory game with frantic platforming.

These skateboard dudes are the bane of my existence.
Those last 3 levels were brutal :skull: I never thought id be advocating for killing the dogs in any game but then there's this.. haha ^^ 5/5
Great music, excellent sprites, and the controls feel really smooth. I really liked how the addresses on the envelopes kept changing to keep you engaged.
The link to the source code doesn't work, it's just itch which doesn't have the source code, can you link the source code.
@martenscedric if you scroll down on the itch page, there should be a download link to the source
I'm blind, thanks ! @silkworm-sweatshop
The game is a delight! It reminded me of the Dendy, with collecting piles of gold. The music is amazing! On the 8th level, I went to the left side of the screen, and got stuck; it seems they forgot to brick up that wall, or unbrick the one on the adjacent screen. The game is fire! Very cool, very!

@gmaker Ah, yes I missed that, oops
Nice polished game. It's fun to play and has a good arcade feeling. Well done!
Great game, with nice retro feel!
Appreciated the graphics, musics and the variation of mechanics with so many levels made. Impressive entry, as always well done!
really really solid music and gameplay! Love the retro music with a very strong theme, and the jumpping mechanics is well polished. I met a bug in level 6 that I got stuck at the other end of the wall, but overall this is a very unique and fun experience. Congrats!Snipaste_2023-05-02_00-04-02.png
@gmaker @foursay Wall bug should be fixed now (HTML5 version)!
That was hard, I rage-quitted on level 14 because of the dogs, but level 11 was the hardest with those little skateboarding brats. Overall very cool game, the graphics remind me of donkey kong and bugs bunny crazy castle on the NES. I liked music and randomization of letters/mailboxes too.
Whoa, those last few levels were wild! I really thought I could make it through without continues, but one of the dogs cut my hopes short. The tension was real since I didn't know if there were continues or not. So yeah, super fun and intense NES-style platformer. Graphics, art and gameplay were all very polished and fit together perfectly. If this had come out back then this would have totally been a popular NES or arcade platformer. Loved the randomization on the mail types too, with either colors, numbers or letters, that kept it challenging and kept me on my toes. Awesome job all around, well done!
Nice game! It really feels like one of those arcade games back from the old times. Is it just me or the web version does not have any sounds? You also went with some damn good level design and it is really challenging as you progress.
@tanis It should definitely have sound (works fine for me) but web versions can always be a bit iffy. Maybe reload the page or try a different browser. Otherwise if possible check out the windows version.
@silkworm-sweatshop reloading the page did the trick. And man, the music is awesome! It matches perfectly the style of the game. I love chip-tunes! Out of curiosity, what did you use to track that music?
@tanis Thanks! It's made in cubase, mostly using "Magical 8bit plug"
Good stuff, felt fun to play, enemies were varied, enjoyed the retro atari-ish graphics, life system seemed rather pointless but I suppose it makes sense with scoring! GG
The game has very nice vibes of retro games. I really liked the direction of the levels towards puzzles. It would be nice to slightly limit the rules for the behavior of enemies. For example, enemies jumping on platforms will only jump where the player can move. It feels rather unfair that they can jump over solid platforms. It's a little unclear at first, as the first level where they spawn is completely filled with platforms that you can jump over. Therefore, initially I thought that they could only move through them. It would be possible to place them in a heterogeneous environment so that the player can understand their behavior patterns.
I always lacked enough power to jump off stairs. All the time I jumped on the dogs and lost. It would also be nice if the dogs started chasing only if the player is on the same platform with them. I had a moment where I am on the stairs, and the dog is on the platform on the right at almost the same height, and the dog tried to run in my direction, and it was not very convenient for me to jump from the stairs, as you can understand.
I also died quite often due to the fact that I landed next to the dog, and he abruptly changed direction and walked in my direction. It would be possible to make a very small pause of 0.3-0.5 seconds, this would be enough as an adequate AI reaction.
I really liked the approach with numbers and letters instead of envelope colors. I understand that this is a challenge, but even without color blindness it’s a little difficult for me to remember, I took an envelope in a darker or lighter color.
I would like to keep this mode, or at least be able to choose after a few losses (just like easy mode in DMC 3). The numbers in this font are quite readable, but some letters, alas, were similar to each other.
In any case, it was fun to play!
@surweaver That's some great feedback! Some are things I've though of myself. There is definitely room for polish to make things more fair.
Ran into some of the same issues others described here, but other than that, I had a great time playing this! I love the graphics, the music is great, and the player control feels really nice. Awesome work!
Well polished little game. I really enjoyed playing it! I think it'd really benefit from a timer on the levels, that way it incentivizes you to move fast and figure out routes through the levels. My only gripe was I didn't really like it when levels had the numbered or lettered envelopes - I found the color envelopes/mailboxes to be much easier to read and memorize. But other than that this was a really good game!
Simple, but fun and polished. Great job!
If my parents, after returning from the bazaar in the 90s, brought me a cartridge with this game, I would be happy  nice entry! Brings nostalgic vibes!
My favourite game of the jam so far - amazing work. Really fun to play!
Looks great. Gives me arcade video game vibes. Good job :)
Very fun and good difficulty ramp. I wanted to beat the levels. I was impressed with the variation across play-throughs and level reloads. Music and graphics worked well together. Controls felt tight. The red skateboard enemies are my arch nemesis! Nicely done!
woah this game gets hard I think I almost beat it much fun. The numbers they were a little too hard to remember for me. great game
You main menu looks playable, but its not :,(((
I get it that you made a game with the feel of old school games, but level design is a bit confusing when there is a wall on the left but no signs of a wall on the right, so you feel like you should just walk there but you cant. Basically an invisible wall :D I love the transitions later, but the first one felt odd
Fires could also spawn not only where the player is, it made a bit predictable.
Skateboarders could jump up off the screen sometimes
I also got tripped a bunch of times pressing jump and up at the same time, which would result in wrong delivery.. potentially arrows and ZX, maybe?
Such a wonderful game tho, the art the music, the character controller feel. When is the release on N64?
Side note when I stop and tab to write some notes WebGL just goes to black and I have to restart..
Such a cute game!! I really love the old arcade vibe and the mechanics. I kinda got stuck at the top left area in level 7 though haha. Overall it's a really polished entry and I really enjoyed the mechanics
Amazing reminds me all the games cartridges I bought thinking I'd get 9999 games in 1. Superb music, loading screen transitions, mechanics, graphics! Well done!
It reminds me of old arcade games, which is a good thing. I also liked that you changed up the envelope delivery such that every level wasn't just by color.
high score 17300 --- man that was a slife of fun and a half! --- the dogs gave me such a hard time upon encounter with the fact they can drop a swift 180 haha --- it's really fun & efficient --- great you can play on the controller --- it's great the type of package randomises upon retry --- had a great time, good job :grinning: :sparkles:
I love the game!! (and the music <3) Really nice feedbacks
Really cool game! I like the increasing complexity, it flows nicely for a jam. The game plays well and looks good. Thanks for adding gamepad support. Congrats for your entry :D
Nice dynamic and atmospheric, love this game.
perfect game!like this one so much, game design is very nices special each time start same level will set random targets,so nice,,jump feelings are nice, map and monsters design are great,(dog monsters are hard to avoid,)nice job
"those dang skateboarding kids" *shakes fist* lol
Very cool! I especially liked how the deliveries changed their identity for a pseudo random element. Remembering which number, letter, color I had to deliver made my brain work lol harder (especially because it changed if I failed). I wonder if you considered an educational lean to something like this? 1 + 1 = 2?
Great job overall.
Fun game but the level with the lettered mailboxes really messed me up
High Score : 16700
Level reached : 15
The game sucks with those skateboards and that ladder-jumping that is way too low, but it reminds me of those old Nitrome games that also has that arcade feel.
