I know you put instructions in the game for what to do, but I was still a bit confused honestly, haha. I still enjoyed it though!

The itch.io page gives a 404 at least the current link
Wasn't too bad :) Could definitely use more structure in it's goals. Maybe break it up into levels. (assuming you want to continue developing the game in future)
Reminded me of keep talking and nobody explodes! Fun game :)
I don't understand how to open the .jar file that is downloaded from the windows itch.io page
I'm terrible at it... but I LOVE the art style, brings me back to my playmobile days haha
everything about this game is awesome :D I am so jealous of the graphics
Probably just me, but after getting past the first door, I couldn't make it very far. I'm probably just bad though, haha. My favorite part of the game was just the visuals, felt like I was tripping on something :D If you expand on the game, but it'd be awesome if you streamlined the difficulty a bit more, but again could just be me being bad.
I hope you expand on this and make the game you describe as your original vision in the description! It sounds awesome and I'd love to play it. As for what's their right now, the art's awesome, otherwise wasn't a big fan.
download link appeared for me magically... not sure why it wasnt loading on the page, game's pretty fun! the art style has a weird kind of appeal to me haha
the game crashes for me on start : /
This was a really cool little story centric sci-fi game. The presentation, music, theme, etc were all on point! I loved the intro and the way you popped in text. I'd love to see this expanded on into a bigger game! The lore of the world intrigued me and I'm curious if the boxes and tree like thing are entities or placeholder art for people.... I want to know more haha
I enjoyed it, but I feel like their could be some polish put on the combat to get it just right. If you haven't already I'd recommend Game Makers Toolkit, it's a video series and in it they talk about "juice" which is the stuff that makes gameplay "feel good".
how is it winnable without win conditon detection haha, I couldn't win, otherwise fun
I like the game, but it is really easy to cheese. All you have to do to go infinitely is cling to the right side and shoot directly up, only reason I died is I got bored. I found this cheese on my first playthrough as well and got: http://prntscr.com/khsgvw
I didn't mind the controls, was a cool little game :)
The game is really good. Only thing is the impact of the sword is really low. Make the wind up for the animation longer, the swing longer, add a bit of screen shake maybe... more impactful sound. Everything's great, but the feel of the sword is way off. Otherwise keep up the great work :D
the itch.io page is a dead end for me
@tophats64-games Thanks so much for checking it out! I definitely think I'll be working more on it in the coming weeks, I have so much more I want to do with the game. Let me know if you have any specific things you'd like to see added/changed to make it better!
Yeah you have to shoot it to activate it. @alexey-akulovich theres also a weird bug where only half the time the power up works and activates and spawns the portal to the next room @rk3omega It's already on my list to change the way the moving to the next level works, so in future versions the tutorial text will be on screen longer
Thank you so much for the feedback and playing it guys :D
thanks for playing, how specifically would you suggest I make the controls faster? Do you mean the movement or the shooting? @alexander-tan
@seannewman22 Thanks :) I definitely want to flesh it out and make it a more complete and unique game... will still be free though :)
Thanks so much for the feedback guys :) I really feel like I have a direction to take the game in future updates and am excited to keep developing it
I enjoyed it, I like the concept, it's kind of like a twist on tetris, could be built out into a interesting puzzle game. :D
Crazyy to me that you made this with monogame and C# in 48 hours. I wish I could code that fast, haha.
@simonaura It's my first ludum dare too :D You did great though man, I used visual coding, no way I could have done half as well as you did with coding
hey man, the itch.io page isn't showing the game for me http://prntscr.com/ki4rzl
I don't really understand what the image did that was spawned after typing the letters. Otherwise was fun, definitely unique :D
Pretty cool little game. Randomly generated stuff always fascinates me.
Honestly really enjoyed the game! The gameplay provided real tension, was fun, and also required thinking. I got stuck on like the 4th level, but you should definitely expand on what you have, only thing I wasn't a fan of was the graphics, otherwise two thumbs up
@oldern Understandable I know that #programmerArtLife haha
The pixel art is awesome, gameplay was alright, not a big fan of platformers myself, but could see the appeal :)
Did you want to make a 3d version of Getting Over It? Because you did, haha. Infurating, but addicting. Amazing job, no idea how you did it in 48 hours.
It's a cool little mobile game, though I got weird graphical bugs on my phone that made it hard for me to play.
Beat it, haha. Hangin' at the beach now http://prntscr.com/khyaiu Could maybe use some subtle music, otherwise generally awesome, polished, and doesn't seem like a game made in a game jam, just a normal puzzle game, which is crazy :D
Fun ez game. Beat it first try. 😉
Fun horror game, everything came together well, so good job to the whole team!
I delivered a lot of blood and kept leveling up but I can't really tell what good leveling up does me besides restoring my health. Also doesn't seem like there's a way to win the game? And the game's pretty easy so I eventually just kind of stopped playing.
Fun game but the level with the lettered mailboxes really messed me up
Fun little game I enjoyed speeding around! I liked the animals + delivery take on the theme
I made it to the castle and sorcerer and was unable to continue as the only exit was grayed out. The art being consistent everywhere is crazy if it's all made by ai. I'd definitely be curious to see your process for making the game. Good stuff overall, I'm sure you learned a lot of interesting things using AI.
I appreciated the R to restart as I failed quite a few times! Fun game and would whale again!
Honestly really fun little game! Would love to see the concept fleshed out and expanded on as building the car was great!
I don't know why but the aesthetic reminds of the 3 robots from netflix's love death robots. The sound effects of the shot thing charging and shooting the packages up is very satisfying!
@0x-void-x0 hey I appreciate you gave it a shot and I totally understand not being able to find someone to play with. If you want you can join my discord there's some people in it who'd be down to play. Worst case the artist or I could play with you. https://discord.gg/aBMhAxyPEh
@alexrose thank you sir, I didn't realize my twitter was broken. I fixed it now 😁
@alibomablitv @chuckiee Thank you for trying the game! Glad you had fun
@gamescodedogs I'm happy you enjoyed it! I would be curious to know your thoughts on how to expand it into a bigger game. Outside of extra polish and bug fixes I completed the original vision I had for the game.
**SOME SPOILERS BELOW IF ANYONE'S READING WHO HASN'T PLAYED THE GAME**
I do have plans to make a bigger co-op horror game adapting other material from H.P. Lovecraft though. My artist and I are planning to launch it to steam this October. In case you didn't realize, cozy courier co. used the Mi-Go from HP Lovecraft which is an alien race that mines for resources (hence the tunnels) and were experts in surgical techniques and neuroscience (the explanation for what happens to the players).
@michelle-go thank you for playing!
I am terrible at puzzle/platformers but I found this quite easy. I was able to beat it by spamming the bait and exploiting the physics getting propelled by the slugs. Good atmosphere and interesting mechanic, but I didn't have to engage my brain or do any puzzling. Which I'm fine with as it's not my kind of thing, but if it's to be expanded in future I think it would need to be tweaked quite a bit to make sure players have to engage with the puzzles. so difficult! incredible intro! very funny game overall
Just played and it's fantastic! The game combines puzzle and adventure elements in a unique way that keeps you engaged from start to finish. The art style and sound effects are excellent, creating an immersive experience. As a fellow Ludum Dare participant, I highly recommend giving this game a play and seeing what creative challenges you can conquer. Don't forget to also check out my entry and let me know what you think!
OMG,it's so cute! You play as this little penguin delivering fish to other penguins on different colored dots around the ice. But watch out, because these other penguins will try to steal your fish! You can push them away or dash to escape, but if you fall in the water, it's game over.
Overall, I had a blast playing it. The low-poly graphics are adorable and the music is so calming. There are even upgrades you can get to make your deliveries easier. The only downside was that it was a bit hard to figure out at first, especially with some of the mechanics like grabbing the fish back from other penguins and using the "eat" button to drop your fish and pick up another. But once I got the hang of it, it was super fun and addicting. Definitely recommend giving it a try!
Only card game I've played so far in this jam and I love card games! Great game and impressive that you finished so much in the short time.
Popcorn Odyssey is an incredibly fun and engaging game! The game mechanics are unique and keep the game fresh throughout, while the art, music, and sound effects combine to create a chaotic yet charming atmosphere. The level design is expertly crafted, and the introduction of new features is well-paced and easy to follow. The only minor issue is that having to restart a whole level after making a lot of progress can be frustrating. However, this is more a personal preference than a problem with the game. Overall, Popcorn Odyssey is a wildly fun and challenging game, with cute graphics and expert level design. The last level is tough but worth the effort, and the end scene is definitely worth the wait! The game controls very well, although the bumpers can feel unsafe at times. A consistent set trajectory for the popcorn when it lands on them would have been helpful. That said, the game is amazing, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it!
As a fellow Ludum Dare entrant, I just played Crystallium and was blown away by its clever puzzle mechanics and charming pixel art style. The game challenges you to use your wits and strategy to navigate through a series of increasingly complex levels, each with its own unique twists and turns. The controls are tight, the sound effects are spot on, and the overall presentation is top-notch. I highly recommend giving this game a try and supporting the talented developer behind it. And while you're at it, why not check out my own Ludum Dare entry as well?
Cute game love the art, music, and writing!
I think it would be a great mobile game time killer. Insane the amount of content you fit in for the jam! I got married so 100/10
Really fun game, I love the flow of the game and would love to see the game expanded further!
Looking forward to seeing the game! My team also took our time with the Extra format as the scope was too large for the jam time constraint. We just finished and uploaded today
Fun simple game, I did die a lot smashing into things though
Hell'o Cargo is a great little game with polished animations that effectively tell a story. The level design is interesting, with puzzles that require thoughtful solutions. However, the precise throwing mechanic takes some getting used to, and it would be better if the pickup/throw keybinding were a button/toggle instead of a "hold button." Overall, the game is very enjoyable with fantastic gameplay, great visual effects, and readable level design. The attention to detail, such as the rattling of the chain and the jump when you die, is impressive. The pixel art and sound choices are on point, and the Celeste inspiration is noticeable. The puzzles are challenging, but not too hard, and the ending is hilarious. Overall, a delightful mix of creepy and cute, with a well-executed aesthetic.
I was able to play after pressing enter to start the game. I wasn't able to get past level 1-1 though I could jump around as the cat and go up one level or down but couldn't figure out how to continue
I love that the packages are the enemy, this was a unique spin on the theme! Great job!
Simple and elegant design. Kind of reminds me in a good way of angry birds. Ties well into the theme 5/5 for me
I love the theming, art, and "story" of the game with crabs vs seagulls. Gameplay was a bit confusing but watching someone else in the comments play it helped me understand.
I love VR and my quest 2, so I love that you made a vr game for this jam! bonus points just for the ambition :) I'm curious what engine you made the game with I enjoyed it!
This game is so polished and well made. It is extremely hard though for me, but I might just be really bad at it
Good job! You basically made 3 seperate games within the short time of the jam. The bird game I had the most difficulty with, but I really liked the trade off between keeping the package and fighting the birds. Had the most potential to be expanded into a full game, I could see it being a really fun mobile game for example.
I love vampires and enjoyed this spin on the theme. Good job!
Building a machine to transport your meat trolley to the end of each level is super fun, and when you finally get it right, it's super satisfying. I did get stuck on level 3, though, and found it frustrating having to rebuild my machine from scratch every time. But hey, that's part of the challenge, right? The physics can be a bit buggy, but it doesn't affect things too much. Overall, I had a great time with this game and think it has potential to be expanded even further.
Love the mood and the general vibe set up by the art and story! Love me some zombies.
Fun and polished little game. Lots of different tracks.
