Nice! Loved the atmosphere of this one. Great take on the delivery theme, it was two-fold. I think the gameplay was fine, had much more promise than you actually managed to land in the jam I think. Seemed the right solution eventually was just to sprint through every level. It was tough to predict how zombies would move and when they'd be attracted to me or not. The little events you had with zombies, like the horde coming after you, etc, was great. Loved the bittersweet ending too. Movement was a bit difficult sometimes, I fell off platforms a lot thinking I was on them due to the mix of 2D and 3D, and how far back the perspective was. I would have tilted the camera upwards a little bit more. Good entry though, great work!

Dang that was dark... It wasn't too difficult, but I still felt tension throughout. That moment in the last level with a horde was very cool. And I really liked the comic panels :)
That was fantastic! A fatigue meter might have made me lean a little heavier on the stealth — I ended up bolting through the end of most of the levels. The infected coming out of nowhere in the last level was pretty great. Loved how cohesive it was; you had a story, cinematics, the works :)
Woah that was intense and awesome. Solid narrative with cool gameplay! I really liked the art and sounds as well. The storytelling kept me engaged until the end and the game was a perfect length. Great job!
The art is really good!

I think that this is a good example of game design and storytelling. I was not bored, got into the story fast, and was curious about the ending! That's why I wanted to finish the game and I did it. Thank you, very nice entry.

The main thing in this game is the storytelling and the writing. By the way i just run and skip all infected because they can't stop me, maybe they could slow the character when they attack ?

When I first opened the game, I felt a wave of nostalgia. It felt like I was playing a flash game again. The perspective was pretty creative and I liked how the text was displayed. Though it was a bit confusing since I kept falling down and get stuck in the first level when I couldn't see the player at first, once you get used to it, it's not as big of a deal, something like a shadow and some invisible walls in some places would solve this problem.
The game really has its moments, the music playing in the last level when the infected rush you was a really fun spectacle. The choice of soundtrack was appropriate and I appreciated it.
Since this felt more like a cinematic or story focused game, it's understandable that gameplay was pretty simple. Nothing really poses a threat to you. Your character's walk speed is already fast enough to avoid the regular zombies, and as for the fast ones, they stop for a second before they hit you so as long as you keep moving you're safe. I was moving through the levels fairly stealthily and slowly but after I alerted a zombie, I started sprinting and there wasn't really any punishment for it. Well, thanks to that I was able to go through the game without any problems, witness the awesome zombie rush and get to the end of the story.
The cutscenes, like I mentioned were very nostalgic of what you used to see in a lot of flash games. Though the final cutscene is quite rough, it's understandable since it was a game jam after all. It was a creative interpretation of the theme and pretty refreshing, though the idea of the story itself is quite generic, I think the execution deserves merit
Overall, playing the game was an enjoyable experience and I hope you had fun making it!

The narrative, universe-building, and art style are all cool! Cool that there are even cutscenes to immerse the player in the universe, It can definitely be part of a larger project with more elaborate gameplay. Overall, it was very interesting concept. Congratulations on the great work!

This storyline makes you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the post-apocalypse. Very cool graphics allows you to experience the same emotions that the characters experience during the game. After the final, I got a big emotional blow. I give the game a big like.

Bravo! Bravo! This is a great game! You all did a wonderful job in making the environments interesting and used them well for the stealth gameplay. I do have to say as well that the fact that you were able to have music that wasn't just in the background, but also drew me into the emotion of the level is an expert touch. Not only that but having the music progress through the levels, I am impressed. Keep that up because that's some good stuff!
The perspective and having 3D and 2D elements together made this game visually appealing too. The story never felt like an afterthought. I loved getting to know Cason as a character through his thoughts to himself and also through what he said to the baby. Good writing!
Having to keep from getting caught while also keeping a baby calm so that you could _do_ that made this a fun challenge.
Here are some bumps I did run into though: - the male infected did not seem to respond as well and my "Sighted" indicator would flicker several times while I was in line of sight - There were a few times the infected seemed to be able to attack me through barricades - At times it was difficult to navigate around the walls or barricades like I was hitting the hitboxes when I shouldn't be. I mean, I get that those obstacles are part of the intended gameplay, but toward the end there were times it felt harder than it should be.
Again, bravo! I loved playing this!
Good emphasis on the presentation of the story. I had a few odd glitches. Whenever I had to restart from dying, the music was complete jumbled up noise, to the point I had to mute the game to keep playing. I would try to run away from some enemies if they spotted me, but they managed to kill me from their positions, even though it did not look like the infected could use ranged attacks. Some scenarios were interesting, like the infected patrolling the outside of a house. It would be better with some polish, nice work!

Quality atmospheric experince! Too much text while moving for me though
I really appreciate the post-apocalyptic atmosphere, the sounds and graphics are really cool!
Hey there! I liked the 2.5d perspective and the novel way you approached side scrolling stealth in this game. For such a short time you had to work on it, there's a lot here that works and feels complete.
I did find the camera angle to be a bit tricky in determining the orientation of the player vs enemy vision cones. Not having a great sense of the space made it a bit hard to plan my approach and encouraged me to kind of rush a little hoping for the best (which worked a lot of the time). The gameplay is a lot more "top down" while the camera is closer to "side-scrolling" so I feel maybe a higher pitch on the camera might have helped clear that up a little. On the balance side, I would have liked a way of escaping infected, as there's a moment there where you seem to be able to run away before getting caught. I understand that might not be the intent, but it did feel like an opportunity to vary up the gameplay and create more tension.
I enjoyed the story setup and graphics. the mood was excellent and the sound design on the baby crying was particularly effective / disturbing. I made it through the first checkpoint and got a bit stuck late into the second.
Overall I think this was a really ambitious project to take on in a jam which you mostly succeeded on, with a few hitches here and there. Good stuff!
Love the mood and the general vibe set up by the art and story! Love me some zombies.
