LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Honey for Aponuo by Frank Gevaerts 2018-12-05T00:05:58Z

It is a very quick game, but it is enjoyable throughout. The help system was appreciated, as I needed help to know what actions were possible at any point. Handling the bear was a neat puzzle I have not seen in text adventures, but it was the only puzzle that was interesting once the glass area was reached. The treadmill was an odd red herring as it appears to do nothing. It was more of an offering game than a sacrifice but it is close enough. I really liked the funny quips from attempting something wrong. Good job overall!

LD44 — Your life is currency

Nuclear Arms 7: Railway to Heaven by Logicon211 2019-05-04T04:37:26Z

This was a pretty enjoyable game. I would say the worst thing about it would be the starting upgrades being random. A system of choosing from some given options would mitigate the annoyance of being given some less useful upgrades and having a bad run. The game itself is fun, trying to decide the usefulness of a power-up in conjunction with the current set up versus how much health it would be worth in the short and long term is a good choice to make. It is funny to me how speed seems very valuable with how many enemies can only attack by getting close. It would have been interesting to see different projectile type as another form of upgrade, as the player could decide if those would be useful against a certain enemy type they have trouble with. Overall very fun and nice game, good luck with the rest of nuclear arms games!

Third Death - TD [Tower Defense Jam] by brian-mayberry 2019-05-02T05:28:21Z

I liked the use of the theme to add a twist to the standard tower defense type of game. The enemies also move in interesting ways that makes the placement of towers matter more than I would expect from a grid layout. The best mechanic also feeds into the central positive loop that can drive the game to a quick end. Once enemies get through and take away health, it can be impossible to come back. A possible solution would be some sort of smart balance that can make easier enemies spawn for a bit after taking a big hit. I encountered an odd bug that would take away a tower whenever I spawned a wave. I think it is a bug at least, I do not know why towers would be deleted normally without selling them. It would have been nice to know what the differences between towers are first, before finding out through trial and error. Good job getting a good amount out of a simple idea!

Criminal Street by GastricSparrow 2019-05-02T04:58:20Z

It is a straightforward game, very easy to figure out what to do and how to keep doing it. The money penalty for letting a criminal escape is pretty harsh as there is already limited lives. Some features are hard to see with the screen resolution. I did like the jokes involved. The variety in facial features is good, would have been interesting to see some movement variance. Good job overall!

LD45 — Start with nothing

NoThIng by Erkberg 2019-10-10T20:01:44Z

A nice experience. I found the character funny and cute, and the game has a general good feel to it. I found the switching between genres pretty funny, with a nice message using the theme. I liked the ONE puzzle, would have been nice to see some more. The music was pretty good as well. Great work!

Wordgeon: The Search for the Blank Tile of Yendor by srakowski 2019-10-10T03:08:07Z

This is a clever use of language to solve a puzzle. These types of word puzzles are challenging for me, but I managed to get to level five before running out. I like the way letters are gained, though I would have liked some more as the crystals could spawn very far away, making it not worth the cost to get them. It may be better to have some preset layouts it can use with multiple paths possible based on what letters the player has? With some more work this can be a good single player scrabble kind of game. Good work!

Start with no dice by Listonos 2019-10-09T05:05:31Z

I was not sure what to do at first, but it clicked after I realized that I needed to get as much dice as I could and get the trash sides. Making it a process of constantly deleting sides to replace with better sides, while upgrading from another side made for a fun gameplay loop. The condition to end the game being dependent on when side piles are depleted seems odd, but it was enjoyable building up the dice to have bigger numbers. There is a lot more that can be done with this concept, great work!

SOMtHINGa from NoThINGa by Jimbly 2019-10-07T21:23:59Z

A math game I can sink time into! This is very polished, and the rules make sense after learning about the order and how the odd splits alternate on each row. It would have been helpful if there was some indication which way the odd split would go as I kept getting mixed up on row counts. The high scores themselves were a big hint on the best way to solve the puzzle, would be nice to toggle showing them for a blind first try. Very challenging puzzles, great job!

SHIPWRECKED by Bredera 2019-10-07T20:30:19Z

The graphics are charming, the visual design is well done. The gameplay was a short fetch quest, and the game ends very quickly. Character design was good too, and the sound effects were funny. Very short and sweet.

New.AI by smilewood 2019-10-09T03:36:58Z

I really liked the opening to the game, having it set up as being unable to reach an easy exit is great. Slowly getting the ability to do more is a fun mechanic. The design of the saw placement caused me to die many times, and the checkpoints are very spaced out. The saws appear to be placed without any specific pattern in mind, making it impossible to get through a section unless it was entered at a good time. The text could have been put on a darker background to make it easier to read. The pixel work is good, I hope you work on this more!

Light Bots by Inventivum Games 2019-10-07T08:08:33Z

This is very impressive, the movement is fun and the puzzles add to it. The black and white aesthetic is pretty, though some parts were hard to discern and some text blended into the background. I do like the sense of humor present. I did get stuck on an early platforming section, and nearly stopped without realizing there was a double jump. The robot moves incredibly fast and drops even faster, making a later jump over a lake nearly impossible. Great all around, with some tweaking its a solid platformer.

Turtle's Quest by Yeti Kid 2019-10-08T21:49:05Z

This was a cute game, I love the turtle design. Some collision was weird, able to move on some ground but not others. I think there was two ways to get a coin, but it only ever showed up as one, but only one is needed anyways. It was odd to only being able to get the sword after giving the shovel, but they seem to be identical in purpose. Audio was good, visuals were appealing for this aesthetic. Nice work!

0 by blaster391 2019-10-09T02:45:38Z

The blank start sets the mood pretty well, it shows how important the top row is for vision. I really like how the dots are treated as a reusable resource, managing the double jump and dash was a neat puzzle. The end was a cool culmination of everything gathered in the game as well. The checkpoints were well appreciated, as I kept dying repeatedly. The light effects were nice. Nice one!

Unqualified Success by Paul Nadan 2019-10-08T04:15:42Z

This game really makes me feel the pressure of not being qualified. Just like taking a test without studying, it was hard to remember all of the different words being thrown around. I really like that they were generated each time, I played it through again and was delighted to see different words used. The humor was great, and having several different endings is neat. Some text spilled out of the box, but that can be easily fixed. Great work!

The Void by The Enigma 2019-10-09T23:51:47Z

This is a really cool idea, I like these coding type of games. I only managed to get particles moving and change colors, but I could not get them to interact with other particles at all. There is surely something I am overlooking with the boolean or property settings. If you do work on this more, a level system where each new command line is introduced one at a time would make it much easier to learn how to use. As it is, the music is very calming and relaxing, and the simple visuals make it clear what is happening. Good effort!

Neon Void by egawag 2019-10-07T21:37:26Z

Great job with this, I love games that give you power ups as you go along. The cold open sets the mood well. The game is over pretty quickly, but I had fun using the powers as I went along. I do appreciate the game over being a quick restart. Very nice effects and sound, I like how each ability was color coded. I would have liked to use the scroll wheel to go through the abilities, I felt like I would have to use them quickly if the game had more enemies. Excellent work!

SNEN - Start with Nothing, End with Nothing by FredFilo 2019-10-08T05:04:15Z

This is a nice little puzzle game! The most novel mechanic was having blocks that could only be pushed from certain sides. It was easy to see some linked blocks had a specific colors on them, though that can be hard to notice. It was over before it got really interesting, but the 48 hour time limit does have that effect! Very nice and polished visually, the linked blocks could have an animation on them when they are pushed. Nice job!

Becoming Something. by zoarfy 2019-10-08T21:24:48Z

Very nice game, I like the concept and the puzzles are fun to figure out. The collision is weird for both moving around and becoming things. The frog jumping sometimes worked and sometimes barely jumps. The 3D animation is great, a lot of work went into objects that aren't part of the solutions. A good sense of humor as well. Good work!

Console >_ by Lex 2019-10-09T02:55:59Z

A nice guessing game. Most of the objects were easy to get with the hints, but it was odd having to guess two different things that are basically the same thing. Art was cute, I would have given a good humor score! It functions well, so its a good place to start with a text game. Nice job!

Small Town by XCVZXC 2019-10-07T18:37:22Z

I was surprised to see that this was a clicker type game. The blending of clicker with tower defense was well done. My hand was tired by the end of it, it would have been nice to have one of the buildings be an auto clicker kind of upgrade. The fire mechanic confused me at first, I thought buildings were being randomly destroyed. Then I unlocked the fire station which made sense, until that was being destroyed. It seems the optimal strategy was to have two fire stations at any time, and build up mines and towers way before houses to get a solid pool of resources and defense ready. Usually a game like this would constrain the number of buildings to the people available to work in them, which would have given more incentive to build houses until waiting until the end when everything was set in place already. Great job getting this made!

Gem Miner by Jasper Hansen 2019-10-07T08:23:54Z

The graphical effects are the highlight of this game. I do like the mining aspect and how its possible to build staircases for the trip back up. The light effect is really well done as well. I would have liked to see more mechanics introduced besides bricks taking more hits to dig. Very nice game, solid base to build off from.

Nothing to Everything by Compasslg 2019-10-08T03:35:18Z

A fairly simple card game. The thing cards had potential to add more choices to help even out the random chance of the cards. However, they were either not given at first, randomly given, or given free reign to the player in the last two rounds. I found it hilarious I could repeatedly select destroy all enemy cards every single turn, not giving them a chance to do anything. There should have been some limitation to those options in the final battles. I did enjoy the game overall, well done on making a card game like this.

No Control by mosaic 2019-10-07T22:06:09Z

The concept of writing your own movement is insane! I have no idea what half of the instructions are trying to say, but writing out the actions for the buttons was novel. Once I was able to move and turn, I was able to play for a while, though I am sure there is something more to it as I stayed in a negative score. The pickup for a break was nice, and the other pickup was a good joke. A tutorial in game would help a lot to show the options available, good job!

Robbie by Crochar 2019-10-08T19:43:22Z

The pixel animation is very well done! I encountered a bug where I picked up the umbrella but it would not deploy, restarting and picking it up again let me use it. The physics are smooth and makes it enjoyable to move. I was hoping for another powerup but there was a lot of good use out of the floating gameplay. Would have been nice to do a victory lap with a flying robot at the end, but the game itself is very solid. Great job!

Robbie by Crochar 2019-10-08T20:09:36Z

@paude I did collect them all, and saw the arm rebuild the robot body. You guys did awesome in the short time span you had, it would be great to see this expanded in some way.

Cleaner! by Nakami 2019-10-08T03:01:31Z

Interesting concept, though the transport truck mechanic confused me. I was unable to figure out how to get the production chain working as I kept losing money trying to get gears made. With some more polish this feels like it could be a pretty cool base building kind of game, a different take on a city simulator even. I liked being able to move buildings, and the trucks moved in their paths well.

Zero Equals Zero by TopperVideoGames 2019-10-08T05:08:39Z

@fredfilo The side you touch a number with the minus sign makes a difference! I think you ran into it from the right, which would have done -1 - (1) = -2. To get the two, you would have to come in from the left. It is using an important math rule, though I do wish I had an easier way of showing it in game. The platforming could do with a lot of polish as well, I was a lot more focused on the math aspect. Thank you for playing!

Zero Equals Zero by TopperVideoGames 2019-10-08T20:06:59Z

@iak I have added a windows download build on the itch page. Have fun!

The Learning Drone v4.5 by kukiric 2019-10-08T04:50:04Z

A nice puzzle game centered on movement. I do like games where moving is based on a resource. Some parts were tricky to figure out, and some restarts felt like soft locks that I had to restart the game to get out of. I could not solve the way to get the move backwards upgrade, and it took a bit to realize boxes could not move over dot spaces. Sound was good, camera was wonky with it moving with every rotation. Very good work!

Survival Shore by radgegames 2019-10-07T19:13:19Z

This was a nice calming game. The music is really nice, fits the game well. Running was pretty funny, moving around the island so quickly. I was able to fill my inventory with rafts because the frame and rope stayed in the craft screen. Good work!

Cupcake Quest by oceanm 2019-10-07T20:41:32Z

This is a cute game. The initial jump height seems a bit short, buying the jelly was helpful. The ground collision does not seem to be even as I kept getting stuck walking. The enemy paths seem to be weird, some of them go through pipes and walls. I do like the upgrade system after the level completion, adds more incentive to collect the currency. I wish it did have more levels to make it a sort of varied path platformer based on the upgrades bought. Good work!

Rebuild of Edge by Twelvoo 2019-10-07T06:12:03Z

This was a nice puzzler. The interface was a bit confusing at first, but it is easy to understand thanks to the helpful tips. It would be nice if there was some conveyance when an aspect of an object was toggled on and off. The art was charming and cute. Took me a bit to realize freeze made an object able to be pushed. Really good job, I found the central mechanic interesting!

Farm for your life by Cindynator 2019-10-09T03:10:32Z

This has a good frantic feel for it, as it is farming for your life. There seems to be a critical glitch however. Whenever I tried to eat and eggplant for energy, as I could never keep up the rapidly depleting gauge, I would get an instant game over saying I ran out of money. I tried it again several times to make sure I was not running out of time, and I got the same message only from eating eggplant. I could not reach the 100 gold goal as I could never keep up enough energy to reach the end. There is also a rather helpful error where seeds carry over after death. The story is very funny, and clean graphics make it nice to look at. The buttons could match the theme more. I see some good potential in this!

Asomatous by RoastedPotatoe 2019-10-08T17:42:39Z

I like the progression of this game. The limited controls lasts a nice short bit, while there was plenty more to find after getting a full body. It is gorgeous to look at, though there was some disjointed alignments with the climbing animation. Some of the jumping could have been cleaner, but it does work. The color upgrade was clever. Great work on this!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Aniyah by gamechoy 2020-04-23T04:54:35Z

Straightforwards kind of game, though I do wish there were some kind of checkpoint after each room cleared or a health system in place, getting one shot is not very enjoyable. There should also be subtle hints in the environments to make the nodes easier to find, like arrows in a dead end that would at least point to where the node relative to it. I do like the atmosphere of the game, and I like how you handled the darkness. The little droid buddy is a flashlight, and the shots light up the dark so it is recommended to keep shooting. If that was to balanced a heat meter could be put in along with the health to have a more balanced experience. Characters were simple but sweet, I do not see a Grandma AI often. Good work!

Robotanic Mayhem by Rodrysson 2020-04-23T03:19:59Z

I really like the potential this kind of game can have. I noticed more and more details as I played it, like how the water tank in the robot correlates to how much water it actually has, that plants seem to bloom quicker when their meter is kept more full. It does look superb too. The gameplay can run dull quickly, even though it is constantly active. I find the optimal strategy to be to stick next to the water tank and blast one or two plants to keep them alive, and knock out any zombies in two hits. As efficient the the right clicking sprinkler move is for water, it does not beat not running out of water.

I can see this being a lot more engaging with some additions. I had one of the corns actually jump on the fence, so I imagined how cool it would be to have those obstacles block the player and their water but not the zombies at all times. Being able to spend the money on upgrades, purchase automatic sprinkler systems to slow the drain on a patch of plants as the intensity and difficulty ramps, that sort of thing.

One nitpick is there was a sound that kept playing like a gear turning, I had no indication what it meant cause everything possible keeps happening after a point. Great work on this, I do hope you expand it out later!

Chaincards by Federico Giorgi 2020-04-21T03:34:29Z

The artwork helps set a dreary mood and is fluid enough to get a sense of how the creatures would act. Beyond that the supposed strategy elements this game presents are lacking. The abilities appear to be on cool downs, so using the heal and evolve actions as soon as possible is the ideal tactic. It would also be nice if the next card could be selected to play when the timer is ready, having the feeling that seconds are being lost is a drawback of this kind of system. There are a few tweaks to make the game look cleaner as well, such as changing the card face to the next kind of card when it is off screen instead of when it is clicked. I do like the effort put into making a story, though the lore text is small to read. I get the impression this game had a lot more planned with the deck building aspect, but playing it over and over again against the same monsters with different cards is not very appealing. Hopefully post jam the team behind this game can finish what they envision this game could be.

The Lonely Tree by Virtu 2020-05-01T04:01:30Z

This is a pretty game, and I think the sound design is pretty good, though some feedback effects could improve this experience a lot more. I was unsure if I was hitting the bots until they blinked out of existence, and I had to see them shoot the tree itself to see that they will aim for it. Sounds and visual effects for the bots and tree being hit would convey that vital information for the player.

The experience itself is pretty straightforward, I do like being able to shoot the enemy bullets if the circle strafe strategy wasn't good enough to get back to the tree. I do like the detail put into the environment, it is nice to look at and the time of day change was nice too. Mostly good visual work, which resulted in a nice game.

Pump It ! by JulienLussiez 2020-04-22T00:39:51Z

This is a really nice game! It is polished and has plenty of charm for the robot. It is very short, but what is here is done well! I always liked games that play with perspective, and having to use different angles to look at the right wire is clever. The arrows could be mapped to buttons on the keyboard to make it easier to play, but using the mouse for everything does add to the pressure of clicking it fast enough. Would be cool to see more levels that play around the perspective concept, such as only having top down and side views, to really try to understand the shapes of the wires. I would love to see more, great job!

Burning Time by pixelcrustpunk 2020-04-23T03:52:24Z

Best aspect of the game is the audio feedback. Being able to tell when a tree is being hit is vital for this kind of game, and the sound effects fill that need. I do like how there is a natural difficulty curve as the trees that need to be chopped up become farther away from the fire as it is natural instinct to do the close ones first. Hitting the zombies was weird, it seemed like they could be hit anywhere around the player, but trees could only be chopped from right next to it. I was bummed to see that switching to the ax while holding a log dropped and broke the log, I almost would rather have a zombie pick it up and carry it away. The rapid pressing of the ax was cumbersome to do, it would be nice to have it keep swinging as the button is held down. Real cute looking game overall, nice work!

A Tree by ditam 2020-04-28T01:39:54Z

I do like the angle this game takes on the theme. Instead of being an active reflex based game about keeping danger away, it puts the focus on how long a tree can live based on how it grows. It took a few attempts to see what would kill me, but found the best strategy was to focus on the roots, and buy the upgrades as I could. The roots directly supplied water, and I died once from running out of it. I was surprised that running out of a resource was a game over condition, but it does make sense contextually. The game does seem to boil down to making sure roots are bought every couple of months to keep up the supply lines. I did get a chuckle when the best ending seems to be being such a good tree that humans chop it down.

Having some more explanation of the systems would help the player make better decisions. I have a good idea that the green icon is nutrients but I am still not certain. I can see easy replay value in this game, changing the stats based on tree species and environment if you wanted to branch out a bit with this game. Speaking of my optimal run had me never buying branches, leaves, or a trunk, so having half the game not needed seems weird. Nice work!

7 Intelligence by twobitadder 2020-04-23T04:33:41Z

This is really clever! I was a bit confused at first when I thought I was watching cutscenes, then I realized it was an actual level to play in! Really cool puzzle mechanics, luring the knight with a hierarchy of lures to guide him through a dangerous maze. It gets pretty hard pretty quickly, having to switch between so many things quickly, so I am glad you made time slow down when choosing targets.

The humor is top notch easily, the silly sound effects when the knight fights are does anything really is great. It is a little tricky switching between targets quickly but there is plenty of feedback to know what is going on. Neat visual effects on the influencing as well. Great job!

Highlights by Emiliabea 2020-04-22T03:09:39Z

Pretty straightforward as far as the game play is concerned, so the meat is in the story and writing. I'm happy to say this story about coming out of depression is pretty good! Having the outcome based on what can be guessed are the best things to say can be subjective of what would make personal sense, but I do like the idea that saying neutral things can give more character which lends itself to being hints are what may be the best things to say. I also liked dropping the system to show the unconditional love of the grandpa, using the mechanics of the game to make a narrative point. Some things can be a bit cleaner, some typos and text going past the boundaries of the boxes they are in. I do like this subject material and think you did a fine job with this!

Prometheus by Nathan Dimmer 2020-04-21T07:03:18Z

Usually a platformer where you cannot see the platforms would be a bad idea, but this works pretty well! Having some things show in the darkness is enough to see where to go, and the torch radius is decently sizes too. The setting is great for the theme, keeping a fire alive relating to Prometheus is clever. The about menu should have a way to go back to the main menu. The game is short, though I greatly appreciate the multiple checkpoints to reduce potential frustration for the times a blind jump leads to death. Great work overall!

Clonization by FPGames 2020-04-21T20:36:01Z

It says no game. Where is the game? I'll check back later when there is a game.

Clonization by FPGames 2020-04-23T02:46:54Z

There is now a game, and I will say I like this game. I think it is clever that the thing being kept alive is also a hazard to avoid, otherwise it will eat you. Picking up the living snacks added great agency to control what was going into the giant maw. I would have liked if the E button was also mapped to a mouse button to make it easier to play. I hope you keep up the learning process, this shows you got good ideas! The balancing aspect makes the game, as it prompts the player to pay attention to how much they are feeding the giant plant. Good job!

My family is me by MacabreArtGames 2020-04-21T20:21:31Z

It took me a while to learn how to play this game. I struggled to figure out how to actually keep the family alive, as left clicking items next to them only consumed them. It was only doing through some random things that the method was to drag items from the inventory directly onto them and clicking on them. I also struggled out how I was supposed to find items, until random shooting revealed that the crates that were instantly spawning held items to pick up.

I was confident I figured out how to play, and started again, dragged all my items from the starting inventory again to my quick select bar, and lasted a day. The journal popped up as I was outside, and I was instantly killed because the zombies attacked my person who stopped running to write an entry in his journal. There seems to be a sort of quality system to the foods, as some food dramatically decreased the thirst meter, and there is not that much water to be found. There is no feedback to getting hit, something the character would grunt but I had to keep one eye on his health icon. I'm guessing the character can be poisoned sometimes.

I do enjoy how much there is in the game, it is a large map to explore with plenty of baddies. Though only one house is really needed to go to if the boxes keep spawning like they did for me. Naming the son Ludum is funny, and rapidly pressing reload makes me think the guy is a clockwork soldier. Having some more explanation on how to play the game with some tutorial would help out a lot, and rework the journal system so it is only from inside the house.

Feed the Chinga by dreamcastgh0st 2020-04-21T03:56:11Z

This is a great use of balancing plates with the different minigames! I like how automatic the food game is to check on it less often, the face picker is a bit hard to tell what is correct but I do like how it takes more time to play it. Having the water game be practically the main game to play with it having no automation is a great touch to me, it means there is always something to do even if the bars get filled, though I can only last about 100 seconds. Having the chinga say something silly when checking the bars is both good comedic relief and a good distraction to waste time. I would prefer to have the arrow keys mapped to WASD as well, but that is a minor nitpick. The different minigames have somewhat different visual styles than the main creature itself. It is fine but it sticks out a bit. Good jokes all around, great work!

Mars Cave Explorer by OddballDave 2021-05-16T00:21:38Z

It is very difficult to handle the steering of the ship. I got stuck a few times, and found any gem I could get back to the ship a major success. I am unsure what upgrading the engines did, but it seems to have given the thrusters more power? The look and sound of the game is nice, makes it clear where the ground is once I touched it. The ship gets destroyed rather quickly too. Good work overall.

Isurium by Franklins Ghost 2021-05-15T08:43:32Z

The best aspect of this was the animation, both the hand and the effects that happened. I can see this lending itself well in some sort of puzzle or investigative detective type game. Interesting idea to start out with, would like to see it expanded on more.

Malleus Pistrium by piscythe 2021-05-15T08:32:48Z

This was a nice experience. It was mostly a waiting game to be able to damage the boss, I would have liked if I could try to time it just right to jump on the shark thing as it was moving to be able to knock it down. Having to hold the button to jump was novel, as it needed some commitment and planning to know when a jump was needed. Animation was cute, music was good. Though with how long it takes to beat the boss, the music had to loop quite a few times. Overall, nice display of talent.

DarΓ© Fortress by luthwyhn 2021-05-16T04:17:45Z

This was neat to see! I enjoyed what I was able to play, though even making sure I had enough food and ale by trading was not enough to make the game last past a couple of seasons from it crashing. There was not much choice in what to tell the dwarves so early on, but I can easily imagine assigning them to specific places and jobs and having the warriors protect the others. Very cool idea, would like to see it expanded on more!

Bad Water by Rudenko 2021-05-16T01:38:36Z

I really enjoyed this! I managed to reach the bottom using mouse, but it was still a fun experience to play through! I liked the moments of calm that could happen by staying still to not trigger enemies, and the frantic movement of evading them when they start to become too numerous. I actually felt sad for the enemies when they became so little they could do nothing but float up. It was a pretty strong moment to see something chasing me become so helpless. Excellent work, the simple style and audio added to the mood all around!

Diggy Bungus by skippuku 2021-05-16T04:44:42Z

I took my time to get every upgrade, so my final time was around eleven minutes. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many upgrades I could buy, and they all felt useful to obtain as well! The main struggle to find gold while keeping the pizza man with you is pretty good, though with how unnecessary it ended up being to get gold in the end, something could be changed to make gold more needed? As in, buying the next ten pizzas with a gold, or in some automatic drain? It would incentivize getting the gold more instead of the stated goal of reaching the bottom as quick as possible. Over time the shovel noise was getting a bit grating to listen to, but that is my only nitpick on this game. The digging detection on the shovel is very impressive, able to dig sideways and even up is amazing! Very great work with this!

Dungeoneer by notApollogising 2021-05-12T19:34:02Z

This is well made, good randomness in the rooms. My first run ended when I entered a room and was stuck in a wall, so there are some glitches present. The lack of sound effects makes hitting the enemies lack some impact, though their knockback animations was all that was needed to convey that they were being hit. The dominant strategy I kept using was to kite all the enemies together and run around them in circles. Different enemy patterns and behaviors could have shaken the gameplay up. It was intuitive how to play, even if there was no control explanation. It had a nice progression of weapons, even if I am not sure exactly how they differ. They felt either stronger or faster which is useful when dealing with the groups of enemies. Good work!

Stairwell by GiovanniBarrottu 2021-04-26T03:46:22Z

Furthest I could make it was level 3, step 14. I like the concept of trade-offs when doing actions, though the attack could be be simplified without having to press the green square as well. Considering you can block without an enemy in front, you should be able to attack in front as well. I like the picturesque aesthetic of a single staircase that is never ending ending, going down forever. The movement down was seamless. The wait option has no purpose, it should restore some stamina as there is nothing that can be done if you run out and an enemy is in front of you. No stamina means no attack or blocking, the two actions needed in combat. Having that mean the end instead of mismanagement of resources makes this a really quick game to play once or twice. I recommend not voting in the audio category as I did not hear any sounds or music while playing. Nice straightforward game you made, going compo is an impressive feat!

METADATA by SnowInfinity 2021-05-17T04:33:33Z

This was incredible! At first it looked like a straight forward platformer, but having the ground pound be the only form attack led to the heart being a really fun boss fight! It killed me 25 times, but seeing the invincible frog have those passive remarks gave me a good chuckle. I really do think the heart was a creative boss fight. A way to change it up could have been to have multiple weak points around the arena, but avoiding everything was still enjoyable. Music also was very fitting and did not get annoying hearing it restart, so good job on that. Great game, good luck with this!

Deep Dive by Aifryz101 2021-05-15T20:37:01Z

This was a great game! I really liked the sub controls, it took a lot of planning and commitment to do something as simple as move slower and turn. The enemies also increase a lot the deeper I went, making it tougher to deal with them all moving straight at me. Excellent progression of difficulty! I really liked the destructible terrain, and it make all of the torpedoes keys in a way to open up new passages. Graphics were pretty clear on what everything was. Very well done, I enjoyed playing this!

Introspection by Zuwu 2021-05-17T07:20:00Z

This was a well done game! It was confusing to understand what was happening at first as the swarm caused instant death, but once I got moving and shooting and dashing it clicked. Each boss is pretty unique and represents their theme well. The audio mixing is a nice touch! An audio or visual cue to indicate when the dash is ready would be nice to have. I did not realize until the fox kept red killing me that the bar on top was my health, so a sound for getting hit would also help. Good work with this!

Last Star Legionnaire by Pirate-Rob 2021-05-16T06:42:43Z

This really impressive work done! Being able to make two modes of play that work pretty well together is an accomplishment on its own, and its even better that they work as well as they do. It does seem the optimal way to play is to not get hit and avoid fights at any cost, as ships fight each other and the first ship seemed to be the best one to have. I also could not find a way to repair either the thrusters or guns, so any damage they took was permanent. It would be more interesting if there was a way to repair those parts, even if the ship was still moving in real time. Great work!

Dig Deep Down by gamedevwithmark 2021-05-16T22:47:30Z

This is a good idea, though I find it tough to play it for long. The random generation of the level does make each playthrough different, but some layouts are much easier to handle than others. I repeatedly get into positions where it has constant layers of rock, that I am unable to blast my way through. The energy gain from the dots is too little from how often they are needed, they should fill up enough for a blast on their own not just the little amount they do. The slow down mechanic helps navigate the spaces a lot as the normal speed makes it impossible to dodge the harsh corners, but the energy drain it imposes makes it just as bad an option to use too much. I would suggest to make an intro area that eases the player into it more, to have them feel they can play the game before the hard stuff shows up as much. I also encountered a funny glitch. I started to use my mouse buttons for the actions as that was easier to manage, then the game kept restarting. I realize the play again button from the death scene does not actually disappear at any time! So I was clicking it on the specific spot it was in. Good game overall, could use some tweaks to be more fun.

Deep-Sea Idling by chocolateway 2021-05-16T07:19:13Z

Well made idle game. I liked that the buildings has several unique levels with their own graphic. At the highest tier they seem to become invisible. There was only waiting style of plays, with catching coins that fall by themselves. It works well for how long it can last. Good work!

Probed by ellipsis 2021-05-17T05:30:29Z

Good game! I was initially very confused on how the game worked, even with the latest updated version explaining more things. It was not until I tried spending all my fuel to go in some direction that I hit one of the orbiting planets. That was when I realized this game has actual orbital mechanics that the thrust adjusts, allowing for all kinds of circular or elliptical patterns of orbit. The fun factor really kicked in then. Knowing what I know, I only had to upgrade my ship from crashing into three planets in order to have enough power to leave the system and win. Good humor at the end too! Once the game clicks, it becomes a fun space orbital type of game.

Violently Unstable Rabbits by saucygames 2021-10-05T07:05:57Z

The rabbits were cute! I found investing in better weapons to work most of the game. I tried using the unstable rabbits but it looked like they blew up my guys more than the enemy. Easy path to the end at least!

A bit more variety in what can be controlled in the game would have added a lot more to do. Currently it is a fun simulation type game to watch the rabbits go and do their work. The music was nice as well!

Overall a nice job!

Dimension Collapse by AtomFox0213 2021-10-06T21:33:15Z

Really good presentation! The visuals and audio come together to make a creepy atmosphere. It was easy to tell what to do with the items, though there was not a whole lot to it. Still, a fun little package of a game!

Good work overall!

Rumble by BrothersT 2021-10-05T22:53:17Z

This game was pretty fun! Even though it feels a bit luck based on where the tremors will hit, there is plenty of agency to work with to keep the building up as long as possible. I managed to hit the 7th stage as well, at which point I could not even tell how high the building went!

Good humor as well, the presentation overall was very well done. I like the tradeoff of a building a pillar to be much longer than fixing it, his hammer swing is adorable!

Great job on this game!

Deep Space Defenders by megalukes 2021-10-07T03:07:52Z

This was pretty fun! It took a while to get past the initial hurdle, but once I made it past wave 12 I was able to get into a smooth groove up to to the 30s. The turrets were a bit odd at first to use, I wasn't sure if the second one did anything as it's projectile isn't visible. I found the best combo were the second and third turrets, as the first was pretty weak and even the last was very limited.

The music was nice but got loud with all the extra shooting happening. Still, I liked how each one added like it was their own beat.

Enjoyable game all around!

LD49: Homeward by LMB 2021-10-08T09:47:41Z

This was an enjoyable experience! It was pretty fun to see all the different events, the writing had some good jokes! It took a while to get to the end, which came down to mostly luck and knowing what would happen in each choice from restarting so many times!

It is pretty neat how many events there are! Though the scribbles was a pretty near certain death if taken, and the fake earth was guaranteed death. The death text was funny to see the first time around! The clicking sound was a bit loud.

Overall, I did really enjoy seeing all the different places! Good work!

War Horse by Snorkelhead 2021-10-08T08:46:46Z

Very short but very sweet game! The blood and death animation is pretty graphic, which adds to the unsettling nature of a bunch of bullets shooting in a farm. I was able to get the apple easily quite a few times, would have been neat if they changed positions or moved a bit. I did notice some bullets were spinning here and there. I also saw a standing unicorn over by the exit!

I liked how the music changed when you pick up the first apple, made it tense! Hopefully this war torn horse finds a peaceful pasture.

Very good work!

Order of Tharanak by ThorPalsson 2021-10-21T09:51:20Z

This game is tense! The controls feel stiff to turn around, but I was really digging the mood of the game. The hallway got me for a while, until I turned up the brightness and saw that there was actually a door I was walking towards. Then I figured where the actual door was.

The enemies scared me too much! The audio startled me, and I thought I would be safe warping away. It turned out they have a fix on you no matter what, so as soon as two enemies locked onto me I was toast! I don't like scares too much so I stopped there, but overall this felt like a real horror game! It is way too dark, like literal dark that I could not see a lot of what was happening, but the atmosphere was top notch.

Very good work all around!

Tower of Thoughts by Erukolindo 2021-10-05T08:15:41Z

I really like the idea, but how to do it properly confused me. I jumbled all the letters in the STAIRS? section together and that let me jump up them, but they never turned gold so I am unsure if that is the intended way to solve that puzzle. The rest of the puzzles confused me even more so on where I was supposed to put the letters as well, as I could jump quite a few platforms anyways. Then I got stuck at a point where it would not scroll up anymore, so I had to stop there.

I did find a funny exploit, where you could balance a letter on another letter and ride that anywhere. It was very easy to do with a Y inside a U. I did like the platforming controls, and the graphics are clear. Were the letters supposed to lock into place somehow? I never got anything to work besides piles of letters here and there.

I'll like to see more work done with this idea, I really like unique puzzles and this looked like a cool idea!

Unstable States by ELBIDEV 2021-10-05T20:14:08Z

It did take me a while to figure out what was happening, but I got the hang of it by seeing the patterns.

The default mode can jump, but can't fight the bots in any way, so it was useless. The slug mode could shoot, so even though it couldn't move well it was the best long range option. The jumper was probably the most useful for getting around, and it could stomp enemies. The ball could crush enemies as well, using it to climb the wall and ceiling was the only way to get to the top row of bots.

It really is unstable on which form would be coming up, even though the colors would indicate what was coming. It did involve a lot of waiting for a good form to get, so maybe a button to change to a random form would have been more usable? I am glad there is no death screen though, my health gets drained instantly no matter what.

Good work overall!

Reverse Runner by hiroboto 2021-10-08T08:04:02Z

This was a peaceful game! Looking at the previous comments, I will add that I got the initial stuck in the top left corner glitch as well, and was able to stay there with no problems at all well into the hundred of thousands. I got to a point where there were no more laser bots at all!

The music was really nice to listen to during the whole time, so it made a calm mood. I did notice another odd quirk that the ship would be limited when trying to go up and down, so I had to reclick with the mouse to move further up or down. The laser trail was particular fun to play around with.

Very well done setting for the game, some more obstacles would have been fun to avoid!

The Show Must Go Down by tykenn 2021-10-05T05:46:56Z

I like the cleverness of being the person backstage messing things up! Being able to mess with the mountain backdrop and switch props around was good, and required timing to pull off the mess correctly.

The piano was the best thing, and being able to land on the guy right at the start was a neat surprise. Some of the placement of the actors seemed to be weird at parts. The hero stabbed the piano at the end and the mustache man fell over when I could only see him on the right. Even the actors were becoming unstable!

A small technical thing is that trying to replay the game made it so none of the prompts came up, but restarting the game fixed that up. Overall really good job!

Drunk Fist by Nicolas Revillon 2021-10-05T20:49:30Z

The visuals are top notch! The distortions increasing as you drink more are really well done. The color shifting also adds a lot of craziness.

The song shifting along with distortions is a good touch.

I would have liked to heal in some way, the giant mobs of bugs are pretty tough to deal with.

Good job overall!

Ancient Pixels by qookie 2021-10-05T21:00:39Z

Very cute game! I found the optimal strategy was to keep jumping to ensure I would always land on the top platform, as it was pretty easy to get trapped. For a while I thought I was taking falling damage, but I think the hitboxes on the enemies is disjointed in some way.

Nice pixel graphics, I do like the upgrades to replenish health and slow down enemies.

Very good job overall!

Unstable Voyage by ayebee 2021-10-06T21:51:06Z

Good ambiance being out on the ocean! The balance aspect is really easy to manage, and restarting the game should reset the raft position as it is possible to get stuck forever. A lot more can be done to make this interesting!

Nice work overall!

Funstable by emk4 2021-10-05T09:27:54Z

This game looks really good! Nice backgrounds, good movement on the character. The actual gameplay is a bit weird, I had to retry a few times because I kept running out of resources really quickly. Not to mention stuff breaks just as quick too.

Finding more resources on top of the inn was pretty funny. I couldn't reach the island as it would not let me build ladders on top of planks, or crates in the water. I also got stuck in the cliff to the left, that was a tricky overhang to put there!

I did enjoy talking to the townsfolk, even if I had to meander back and forth for them. I was also unsure what the lockpick was for.

Overall a really good job! I would make the resources more generous, and have them come back in checkpoint respawns. Experimentation is most of the fun in these kinds of games!

Milburt by LiquidFunk 2021-10-06T19:52:28Z

It is a pretty straightforward text adventure without much choice, but it was still a fun romp to read through!

Good writing and good text effects with really good music with it. I think I noticed some of the character's audio text effects were switched around at some points, making it sound like it was the main character saying stuff.

Top notch humor throughout, it was enjoyable all the way through!

Cursed Cauldron of Calamity by Elias Manzaneda 2021-10-05T07:44:45Z

Real good game you made here for your first try! Even though there wasn't much of an end goal, seeing the items slowly dwindle to an inevitable demise is a pretty tense feeling!

I was surprised to read how there were fake items too, that threw me for a loop. Good aesthetic to the items too, it was easy to tell them apart even at a glance. The recipe page was a pretty funny too!

I threw in the cat to see what it would do, a quick bad end was about what I expected!

Overall good job with this!

Nuclear Bulwark by FishMasterino 2021-10-05T06:25:24Z

ShipHighScore.png

I got about this far before I realized that this game had no end, at least one I could not see coming any time soon. Which means I was playing this for a while, fun to balance the resource gathering with actively using them to fend off the attackers!

The difficulty gets pretty high, even the bombs barely did damage to the big guys. I did find an exploit that would have let me play the game forever if I wanted to! I would revise how pausing works!

Overall good job! I would set some sort of soft end goal to reach, and endless gauntlet does get aimless after a while.

It's All In Your Head by real_flamingicecubegames 2021-10-07T00:39:49Z

This was an enjoyable experience! I liked seeing all of the weird places and characters, and making the map vaguely brain shaped was a nice touch. The characters were both friendly and intimidating at the same time, which gave a wonderful wonder land feel to it all.

The music was both relaxing and tense at places, felt like going through different odd regions. I would have liked if there was some puzzles that involved the characters more, but finding them and seeing what they had to say was still a good reward. That ending is a pretty big cliffhanger!

Very well done overall!

Explorer, Beware! by Tiago Cruz 2021-10-05T21:07:48Z

The clicking mechanic seemed odd at first, but then I realized that the stableness was locked once the treasure was obtained. So it became a game of setting up the path back. It was novel in that way and pretty fun!

A lot of the levels feel like they can be beaten pretty easily without using the central mechanic. I believe the final level only allowed a single ground piece to be locked, but the first blocked can be held up to the run around is not used. More levels would have been fun to play around with!

Overall great job on making this game!

Pipeworks by StarryNiteGames 2021-10-08T06:00:30Z

This was pretty neat! I liked the spin cycle of the character, it made really pretty patterns with the coolant spinning inside it! The last level was pretty difficult, but I found the best strategy was to just hit max spin and hope for the best!

Some more feedback on how fast the machine is spinning would help a lot, the camera zooms out pretty far to see where to go, and the liquid becomes a circle rather quickly.

Very good demonstration of the fun of spinning! Keep up the good work!

Pasinko by Rashcan 2021-10-06T20:14:16Z

I had a blast playing this game! I have a soft spot for pachinko style games, and this hit all the right itches!

Everything is very well done, though I think most of my enjoyment came from finding the right angles and just going to town with the points. Some goals to hit would be nice, or some unique pieces of dialogue for it, but it was still enjoyable to see that I could get really high up. I even have highlights of how my time went! Very well done! Pasinko1.png Pasinko2.png

UKI by Shea Kelly 2021-10-06T19:36:10Z

I was unable to proceed past the first boss, but what I did play was well done! I like the erratic nature of the boss fight, with it randomly dropping from the ceiling to try to land on me. Music was fitting, and the shooting mechanic was all right. Just holding down the mouse button and point it at the enemy was okay, could have used with a bit of audio feedback that it was hitting.

Some of the camera controls could be fixed, it would zoom out just going to the edges of the room. Keep up the good work!

BLOP by ooyjian 2021-10-05T21:14:29Z

This is the kind of game I had in mind when I first saw the theme was unstable. Still, I do like the use of classic Tetris pieces to build a tower with. The time limit is pretty harsh to work with, it is hard enough to build a tower that doesn't collapse near instantly! The physics seem fair, it needs to be a level tower with every piece given.

Music is relaxing to play to, good audio feedback as well.

Good job!

Lab Run by mikeklubnika 2021-10-05T09:42:17Z

This game was tense! I like the setup of having an unstable chemical be the reason you cannot bump into anyone. Avoiding them can seem so easy, and then you get surrounded instantly! I think whatever determines where the running guys go when they hit a wall is pretty well done!

It did take a while to get to that yellow door, but I did beat it! The atmosphere of being crowded around all the time is amazing! I like the look of it too, and the music added to it.

Very well done!

Meltdown!! by manzdeh 2021-10-06T20:23:47Z

This is a really tight puzzle game! The rotation is very clever, and the levels were very fun to playthrough!

The move counter is a nice limit, and pretty generous too. I beat the last level with about 11 moves left! The way to move on blocks and push and pull feels a bit weird, but I did get used to it.

Very impressive the way you made it, I would have played more levels if I could. Great job!

Swing Gobang by dcy11011 2021-10-21T08:49:05Z

Pretty neat! It does feel like it could use some more polish, but I do like the use of having to use all of the balls as part of an overall strategy. The shifting gravity means the state of the game can change at any point too. The random ball sizes felt unbalanced, as it seems like bigger balls give a good advantage.

The balls were too bouncy for any real strategy to form as is. With the ball being able to be placed anywhere, the whole board just explodes into a chaotic mess. With some physics fine tuning and restrictions on ball placement, I can see this being an enjoyable strategy multiplayer game!

Good job overall!

Breakfast Time in Dream Land by rjhelms 2022-04-17T04:34:04Z

Nice game, I liked that we are only putting the cats to sleep! When I launched the game it was in a very small window, I am not sure if that is on my end but the game was still playable.

The cat patterns worked well, mostly rushing at the left then circling back around. It also gets really hard very quick, which needs all the powerups possible. Good work on this!

Supplicant - A DOS Text Adventure by rojo 2022-04-17T08:04:58Z

Good logic puzzles! I do like how every obstacle had a good reason why and how it could be solved. The body was probably the most of a stretch, but at that point there was little else that could be interacted with. I really do appreciate having a mini-map as well, being able to see where I can go is just as important as where I am.

I suppose the pile is just extra, or there is some secret I do not understand. Overall I do like the creativity to make this, good job!

Ten Steps of Life by Igor KinGamer 2022-04-11T20:47:32Z

I did like the scene you were able to make for this, it was obvious that the rock needed to be moved without needing a direct arrow pointing at it. Having it needed to be moved all around was also neat. Very short game but I can see where it was going.

I also tried out the post jam version, and it seems that it keeps replaying the 2 month scene over and over. Would be nice to see all ten steps eventually!

Moon Base EVAC by notime4games 2022-04-19T21:17:58Z

The systems implemented are pretty impressive, though I did struggle to have fun with this. No matter how low the detection chance was, there was always a real possibility that the game would end instantly. This would not even be so bad if I was allowed to keep building, but the harsh limit on that guaranteed that I would be restarting over and over again. Eventually I managed to save up enough to build a single turret, though it turned out to be so weak I patted myself on the back for being able to jump between three bases before inevitably failing.

I see a cool idea here, though the randomness would need to be really modified to deliver a better experience. The fact the base layout matters to how the invaders destroy the base can be greatly expanded on, so more strategic building would matter more! Keep it up!

Devil of Destiny by Fatsheep 2022-04-20T04:00:19Z

This is a pretty fun combat game! I liked the design of the bad guy, and even with his few moves he did keep me constantly moving. The fireballs would go into the floor and pop back up, so if they made some noise when they were close to the player, they wouldn't feel like they came out of nowhere? There could be more feedback on the guns actually hitting the guy as well, though the effect of slowing him down fits well.

I could get to almost six minutes, but with some more in the game I could try to last for infinity! Good job!

Attack of the Inevitable Vine! by Plasmonic 2022-04-16T10:46:25Z

This is a neat idea, to have an encroaching slow swarm that gradually builds up to be very overwhelming. I did manage to save the land after a few tries, the hitboxes on my sword and enemies is pretty loose. The game also said space was used to cut thorns, but it never worked for me. I think the scrolls I was picking up added to the research bar, but I am not sure.

With some more polish to make sure the movement works more consistently and actions working better, this game would be pretty enjoyable! I can even see it having different levels with new map layouts that need a different general strategy each time. Good job!

The Inevitable Relay by Papaver 2022-04-20T01:38:00Z

I found this to be a rather clever and unique take on the theme! The constantly draining energy demands the player stays on the move, while switching at the best times. The detours offer good choices whether the hearts are worth the energy to get them. I also liked the little voices each character had, and how they sounded more strained when they had less energy.

A bit more could have been done to distinguish the three a bit more, but their numbered hats was usually enough. Great job!

Wayfinder by Paul Nadan 2022-04-17T06:38:42Z

This is a pretty clever idea for a game! Trying to find how many loops and wrong turns is a very neat puzzle. The randomness of the level generation does make some levels impossible to learn how to maximize the delay, but the good sets feel really fun to mess around in. It may have helped to include a mini-map or a preview of the level layout at the start so the player has a small chance to plan out their complicated route.

The humor is a highlight especially, the last level concept is great! The levels did also get harder as it seemed the car moves faster, though some new mechanics in later levels can add a lot more to deal with. Very great work on this!

Evacuation Route by epb9000 2022-04-19T23:28:52Z

This game gets pretty crazy! Shooting while avoiding the ships is already a tough choice, but add the literal split seconds I had to shoot anything down and I get to the point where I am shooting everything down! Really good set up for this game.

I eventually learned the shots explode where I clicked, instead of going in a straight line. This difference helped manage the asteroids a lot more. I also like being able to click which color scheme to have, blue is much easier on my eyes. Great work here!

Paper Boy Flyin' High by unplugred 2022-04-16T04:52:15Z

This was an enjoyable game to play! I will admit I was ready to quit when I could barely reach 1km. Then I figured I might as well hit every speed bubble I could come across, and that was the answer to winning! I had to get a good level generation for the second and third levels, but by that point it did feel like an actual game I was beating!

I did think the controls were pretty simple at first, then I got to the point where I considered height and speed as resources I had to manage correctly. With the axes and fences being moving obstacles, my position started to factor in a lot more as well. There were so many times on level 3 I almost beat it and got too confident and ran right into an axe!

Level 2 could be more polished, it is hard to see the overpasses above you as an obstacle, and the clotheslines did not look like hazards until I hit them. I also had some funny glitches where pressing enter to restart caused me to fly under the level, easy enough to properly restart though. Really great work on this game!

Invasion of the Sky Pirate Frogs by lovetocode999 2022-04-20T02:10:34Z

This was a neat game! I found the best way to go about these types of games is to always shoot, as there is no limit to ammo counts. It felt hard to build up any money to buy more stuff, and when I accidentally clicked on the island without being able to buy anything, it stayed on the screen.

Visuals and audio were good as well. Well done!

Sir Hops-a-Lot by RatFace 2022-04-12T02:40:20Z

Very cute rabbit! I like the different obstacles that could spawn, and how most of them had a choice of sorts to approach them. I did notice some carrots seem to give different amount of points, I can only guess that it was based on the difficulty to get them on where they are placed.

The jumping was fine tuned, it was nice to see how needed it was to jump over even the smallest gaps between ledges. I was also able to take a few breaks by letting the rabbit run into a wall, then jump to continue. You could make it more difficult later on by adding spikes to some walls later on.

Good job overall!

Smoldering Life by Pirate-Rob 2022-04-19T20:49:51Z

I do get a bit scared when playing horror games, but I did like what I saw here! Being able to interact with objects in the environment was neat, and even finding healing items was really cool! The combat was slow and clunky, but for a horror game that adds to the frantic tension of a fight. The item interaction was surprising, having my club become a torch was helpful.

I am not sure how far I did manage to get, a long enemy killed me pretty consistently. The lighting system is always impressive to me. Good job on this game!

Lava Tactics by animawish 2022-04-15T02:11:27Z

I am impressed with the amount of actions that are able to be done in this game! Being able to shovel dirt around did have a noticeable impact on how lava would flow, though it did eventually flow over even the highest of walls I could make. Ice cubes seem like the best items to use. I would have liked to somehow work to plug in the lava holes, but as the game can only delay the end I understand.

My best strategy was to hide in a corner while digging as many walls as I could. I got past 200 turns which seems like a lot. The most fun was watching the simulated lava flow across the entire map, I can see good potential in the system! Being a fan of turn based strategy games I would have liked more goals of some kind, but as it is this game is a good effort!

Fate's Flower by Prismapunch 2022-04-20T00:58:08Z

I think I beat the game! I got the key and reached the door. I like the countdown being a looming threat to always keep moving. It took me a bit to realize that I didn't have health, but enemies were taking my time away! I do like that the enemies flash red when hit, it would be hard to tell otherwise. The gameplay was usually the same in each room, though having three enemy types is good enough for a game like this.

I would have liked to be able to control my jump height a bit more to have a bit more strategy in combat. Overall good work!

Trouve ta voie by dlan-bess 2022-04-20T03:44:34Z

I like the commentary of this game, it seems impossible to get any real help to last longer than a few weeks. Even the things that can be bought are barely worth it. The audio would sometimes not play on a retry, and the controls would not take hold either. I could understand most of the game, but the language barrier did prevent me from knowing a few things.

Overall good experience!

You've Kidnapped the Wrong Prince! by SketchyGalore 2022-04-19T21:59:47Z

Nice strategy game! I think this fits the theme very well, as the only goal is to see how long you can last against an ever more powerful enemy. I went with a melee-archer-miner set up to see how well that extra coin paid off. I got to round 9 with it, which seems decent enough. At that point the knight one shots everything, so the only hope was to get it in three stages!

This was a fun experience, I could see some potential and being able to buy more spots for bigger strategy. Good work!

Janko-navo by Jamtempisto 2022-04-19T23:16:20Z

Pretty simple arcade game, though enjoyable. The control scheme makes sense when moving normally, but gets confusing when trying to aim to shoot. This works for a good mental exercise! The sound effects could be a bit softer, and seeing the score during the game would be nice. Good work!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

RoboKitchen by quadtree 2022-10-17T08:27:02Z

I had some trouble playing this game, on the two different web versions only one shows the price of each appliance. The robots did not spawn very regularly, and there were constant pauses. The concept seems neat as an assembly line type of game, I would have liked to see a more stable version.

I then played the windows version. It launched in a window way too big to fit on my screen and I had to resize it. The game did run a lot smoother, but it was still rather glitchy. The robots would spawn in the upper left corner, and then come across the middle. After a while they stopped spawning completely. All in all the game did not work well for me. Good try!

Sir Golde and the lair of the Minnowtaur by Knatt 2022-10-17T10:17:19Z

This was a superb game, excellent work! I really love exploration in a game, and the main mechanic practically needing a good memory to overcome really appealed to me. Because the fog kept coming back, I had to use the lens in a very strategic way as a sort of waypoint to make sure I never got too lost. I was pleasantly surprised how well the fog combines with the main enemy type, as it encourages careful movement to not get hit point blank by a spike. I was even happier to see another level with a central boss attacking the entire time!

The only minor fix would be how the player gets weirdly stuck when walking in small one block hallways. Besides that I really liked this game, fantastic!

The Ten Second Games by Chao 2022-10-17T11:32:06Z

This was a really novel way to use the theme, and I believe it worked out pretty well! The story was interactive enough to imagine a world where counting really is a valuable skill, but not too intrusive or too much of it. I relied on the age of technology to get me to the end, but when I hit the old one I thought I was beat.

I felt like a genius when I figured out how the hints told me the answer! Really clever and awesome way to use the medium to feel like a superpower!

There was an odd glitch where some text got jumbled up after I talked to Casey, not sure what could be causing that. Good art, good writing, good music. Great work on this game!

Neon CGTD by MiltonNH25 2022-10-15T09:41:02Z

HighScoreNeon.PNG I had a lot of fun with this game! I was not expecting to be so focused while playing, it hit a great pace of always being active while still being a tower defense style game. Excellent use of the theme to add that bit of randomness to really spice it up. A way I can think this could be better if there was an option to also remove a card between levels. That way the bad starting cards can get completely replaced, instead of being filler space in the deck. The hardest part of any level is starting out as well, so an option could be to be able to pick the starting cards in some way, so an initial bad draw is not the worst hill to climb over. I really liked the extra aspect of the altars being an active energy farm, some more energy cards would add that extra layer of strategy. I really liked this game, I do hope you expand it in a big way!

Toad Cat's Cemetary Watch by 43sam 2022-10-06T07:19:36Z

Very well done game here! The game has a nice push and pull with the upgrades given, and the enemy variety was nice to see. After ten minutes the game tries to throw everything it has, but the upgrades get so powerful that is becomes possible to stay in place and shoot everywhere. It is still a fun feeling for a sort of post game!

The sound gets hard on the left ear, though it makes a sort of ambience of enemies constantly dying. I also liked that the map design was unique, and not just a big empty arena. Great work!

Lay low by MaximBegunov 2022-10-10T06:10:17Z

This is pretty good! I played through many times and managed to get five of the endings. Some endings give a hint on what you need to have to get another ending, which is a good hint system and adds goals for replays. The actual finding of specific items can get tedious as the constantly random nature is in fact very random! It works exactly as intended but it does wear out after a while. The writing is great and I do like the man in the woods and his weird endings. A few items were static in their location, though I do not think I found a use for them. More items could have benefitted from being a bit more predictable. Overall good job!

The Long Winter by Roka Josh 2022-10-17T09:33:00Z

I was able to beat the game twice to get the bad and good ending, with 4 and 20 points each. The spinning plates system was well done, as even on a good run I would make a careless slip and die! A well made survival game through and through!

Even though the strange monsters from locations were usually instant death, I always looked in them as their potential rewards were too good. There could be a way to mitigate that? The lighting system was neat to show passage of time, and your fires. I would have liked to see other sources of light naturally in the world somehow.

The most bothersome action I had to keep doing was going into my inventory to press a small button to make a campfire. Even making that button bigger would help with such a crucial function! Overall, excellent work!

HALL OF GAMES by spudboy 2022-10-16T09:24:10Z

This is a hectic game! I initially got a score of 39, and I played again to 50 just to see the differences. The game really does speed up a lot! It is fun how it gets so hectic, to the point that even the simple platformer becomes near impossible to do. Out of the four micro games, I do think my favorite was the balloon one. Complex enough that the balloon goes in a different path each time, but simple enough to be able to be done in a second. The platformer does not change besides being sped up, and the other two have a lot of info to take in too quickly. I did have a lot of fun with this game, good job!

Dungeon Rusher by PoshDan 2022-10-17T07:47:49Z

This can be a pretty good start to a neat game! If more time was put into it, I can see a tense, always moving type of fun coming from it.

From what I could tell, a lot of work did go into the systems. Dynamic lighting from the lamps, destructible objects when hit, and even the physics of the objects add a lot of cool interactivity. I managed to climb up to the wall from sliding into objects like a makeshift staircase, and walked along the outlines of the rooms for a while. The archer type of enemy is the most incomplete thing in the game, it appears to not face the player correctly and never shoots! Would have been cool to dodge some projectiles.

I found it funny that if you tried to rush on ahead, you would just drop into the pit. A cooler way to indicate the room is about to disappear could be to have a giant monster eating it, would be more immersive than the giant countdown bar. I do hope you flesh out the game more, I see some potential in it. Good work!

Nightfall by gamebuilder 2022-10-17T01:23:20Z

This game has some good spooky potential! I was expecting something rather scary if I could not find my way back home. Luckily I was able to beat it pretty quickly through the power of button mashing everything! Some limits may have prevented that, but I do think the system of having number keys being how you interact with the world to be novel. Very good audio design, even when I made it back home I felt unsettled! Good job overall!

10seq by BrettSchiff 2022-10-17T03:14:13Z

I got it in 11 loops! Just barely too, even with knowing what to do it becomes a matter of fast skill, which is nice to see some of in a time based puzzle. I liked the small hint system implemented, so that some progress could be made even with spending a loop looking what to do next. Very cute presentation to the game as well. I really liked how the music built up and down between each loop, it helped bring each attempt together as a a whole experience. Great job!

Hiccaterpillar by CaptAndrey 2022-10-16T10:02:57Z

This is a very cute and charming game! I managed to beat the game, so I think I got a handle on the mechanics pretty well. Just enough feedback to tell the blue was something the caterpillars needed, so much that it took me a bit to realize it was water to stop hiccups! The last level was very tough, though it may have been the water on the ladybug starting to overlap on itself.

The game could have a bit more complexity for more levels, but it is currently very cute to hear the bugs hiccup in a pattern. Good job!

Expanse Range by PROJECTaroid 2022-10-17T08:08:30Z

Nice shooting range game! This game works as good first person shooting practice, I could feel myself getting better at aiming after a couple of rounds. Some variety could add a lot, I did get used to the targets spawning in the same spots and stopped when I saw no goal in sight.

The audio for some reason made me feel unsettled, as if I was expecting aliens to start coming after the target practice. Good work!

Cactus Hourglass by Tom Kun 2022-10-16T09:44:08Z

It is a pretty looking game when it runs well. I kept dying way too often, which made me too frustrated to even reach a single upgrade. I'm surprised that the player's bullets are so short ranged. Being able to predict where enemies would come from would synergize well with shooting far, but enemies got way too close in order to shoot them well. The sounds are distinct enough. The second shot was unpredictable in whether it would hit, so I could not use it well to hit the groups of three. Nice work!

Robotbotbot by alpharock6 2022-10-17T03:36:52Z

Very well done with this game! The mechanic is very easy to understand, and taught well in the first few levels. I got used to saving my inputs like a limited resource, which is a clever use of the theme! The second to last level I cheesed by finding an easy solution to the left, I hope that was at least a bit intentional!

The little jokes were very nice, wow! The last level showing a message behind the blocks was a very cute touch. Great work!

Trainz by aligator 2022-10-17T04:00:34Z

Good work on this game! The number of trains really makes the gameplay hectic, as the small camera view means I had to constantly look around the map to switch tracks. I managed a score of 24, and it was crazy enough with just two trains! Orange was another level, and blue seems insane!

If there was something that could be improved, I would make unique horns for the different trains when they spawn, to give another cue of the new trains to juggle around. Good job!

Teen Detective Allegra Gumshoe in Temporal Troubles!!! by fizzbark 2022-10-09T22:53:39Z

I did enjoy working out the solutions to the puzzles in this game! The searching for books feature was great, as it avoids the problem a lot of point and click games have of randomly trying everything for an answer. It was a good idea to extend the time for each loop, as ten seconds really is quite short even if you can do a bit in each loop. I would like to see the idea revisited in some way as looping games are fun to play!

A bit more feedback would help to denote changes in the game state. The dog playing with the toy, the coffee appearing somewhere, the books being highlighted in some way. Some audio control would be nice too. Overall good work, the humor is great!

No Man's Land by dodgergram 2022-10-17T00:40:08Z

Good game! I managed to reach wave 20, the good old strategy of strafing and shooting is effective here. The silly voices helped make killing so many soldiers funny. The big boss fight was easy enough, though I did like that he had two types of attack. Some audio balancing could help tidy it up. It was never clear how much ammo a gun would have, but I knew I would get more per the theme. Good job making this!

LD53 — Delivery

Radish Delivery by Gao Ming 2023-05-05T09:00:00Z

This is a very well done game! I felt clever using the odd shapes of the packages to my advantage, getting longer matches more often. I managed to get to station 8 without realizing I could rotate the packages! May be a good idea to put a list of controls somewhere in the game, but everything is done practically perfectly! Got a final score of 288 at the end of my next playthrough. I also thought I was being clever by having to remember which packages were behind the front row, but even the mouse can be used to rotate the view.

Excellent job with this game!

Crates by karreg 2023-05-03T20:46:55Z

This is a really well done game! Super simple controls and a laser focus on the main mechanic. Everything came together super!

I do have a few thoughts that are more general suggestions. I much preferred the levels that could be seen in one screen, as the levels that needed to go down made me guess on where I needed to go. Those levels could have the mouse or a button press to scroll up and down the level, or start with a preview at the start that shows it all quickly to give an idea how it looks.

The levels that needed multiple boxes did not add much more to the complexity as I would have expected. You could try levels with multiple entry pipes that require different box handling?

The last level I may have skipped the checkpoint, as my box did not break one time falling on the right. The box breaking at all seemed circumstantial, would be better to have hazard floors in specific places than relying on physics to handle it.

One last thing, the checkpoint mechanic was only used once, but it should be mapped to a key and not just a mouse button. Keep the controls as simple as possible! The idea of checkpoints is nice for those longer levels.

Excellent work all around!

Cooking is Relaxing by Lenan 2023-05-03T02:36:13Z

This game gives me some complicated feelings. I did initially try to play without seeing the instructions typed out, so I was very confused on what the pace of the game was supposed to be. After I did read the instructions, I realized many of the interactable tools were not able to be integrated into the game flow. What is currently present is rather interesting however!

The two phases of restocking supplies into your storage room is equivalent to a mad dash, motivated by what you can see customers wanting. Without supplies to get, you have time to serve the food and organize the storage room in preparation for the next mad dash for supplies. I found this gameplay loop rather enjoyable and got my 500 dollars, and makes me think the game is the exact opposite of relaxing!

If you could streamline the actual gathering of ingredients to be more than just walking back and forth, you may have a different kind of fun game here. I would also say only one ingredient per box, to make the organization aspect take more thought to optimize. Good work!

Total TattleTale by Mastoast 2023-05-12T20:49:30Z

Clever use of choice to impact the in game story events! I would have liked to see even more events integrated into each other, though saving the museum and arresting a crook was pretty fun. It rewards paying attention to details, which allows for a tiger to be set loose while saving a panda. Good job!

Pizza Come: Deliverance by mira 2023-05-05T21:05:33Z

Good job on what you managed to get done! The controls are snappy and the pizza mechanic was clever. The actual movement seemed too fast in general, hopping in a quick second, though the level design was easy enough to go through. It may have been better to have two pizza that could be thrown. There was one ledge with a rat on it that I was sure I needed to hop around until my platform came back to hit it, but the rat did not actually walk the entire length of the ledge. It was good forgiving level design, but it felt limited in a way.

I liked throwing a pizza at the end level guy, so I was able to make him say yay over and over. Good luck if you continue this with the full team! Good work!

Solaris Express by hulien22 2023-05-04T02:23:44Z

This was enjoyable, this game gave me a fun feeling of traversing space similar to Outer Wilds. The exact landing on planets took a few tries but I did get the hang of it. I played it for a good while and made several special deliveries, but never could find an ending. I bought all upgrades and was just stockpiling money at a point. I did appreciate the thruster upgrades, I would move so fast any unexpected planets were an instant respawn!

Playing the game was a very relaxing mood overall, great work!

The Packageboat by Jvdwijk 2023-05-16T02:59:17Z

This game looks pretty nice, though it is very difficult to figure out what the game expects from you. Even with the narration telling you the controls, it still feels weird. I gave up when the box I was supposed to deliver to the house would not get delivered no matter how many times I throw it at the door or the light.

Design wise it seems unintuitive to place the first box needed for delivery behind the starting direction of the boat, as it did not show up on the map as the place to go to. Switching between the boat and player was funny, as you can switch even while you are on an island, and the person just floats along side the boat out in the distance. This could do with some more fine tuning to teach the player what the game expects better.

AIRmazon Delivery by diharaw94 2023-05-03T04:39:02Z

The movement on the ship is a bit jittery, as even standing still I can see the ship shuffling under me as it moves. Having to manually steer the ship and altitude was neat, but the controls could have been better. Three floors for the ship was too many, there is barely enough time to keep the ship fueled and throw a package on time. It does look nice, and the dialogue got a chuckle from me. Jumping off the ship gave a unique message, I do like seeing details like that. It would have been more interesting with some more oil on the controls. Good work still!

Blockade Runner by darzu 2023-05-04T07:12:14Z

Good job on this! The highlight is the destructions of the ship. I noticed you could even destroy a small part of your own ship with your cannon! The balance between sailing and shooting could have been better, I would prefer to instantly switch to a cannon to get a few shots in as I needed to keep moving with all the towers shooting at once.

The ship does get destroyed pretty quickly, maybe a way to repair to last longer would help? Keep up the work on the custom engine!

Bloody Boxes by Augmotic 2023-05-03T07:25:13Z

Good box type game! I didn't read the notes at first, but I was able to get up to 15 boxes just from guessing what the pictures meant. I did get pretty close to what the notes explained, though keeping vision is pretty tricky.

Atmosphere is ripe for some scary tension, though really I am glad there was nothing actually scary here. Turning on the lights was neat, small reward for looking around. To encourage a higher score some more feedback would be nice, though not losing is a good indicator that you can keep going.

Good work!

Witch Brunnette by joao-marcello 2023-05-03T23:36:54Z

This is an enjoyable arcade style game. Getting the ingredients to bounce was tricky, but proved to be a good goal to aim for as the point bonus really is that high. I did like that landing on the cauldron damages the witch, good detail and hazard!

Some music would have been nice to set some ambience, but the sounds gave good confirmation if something did manage to land in the pot. Good work!

Paper Drone by KULICH 2023-05-02T20:42:47Z

A good game in a straightforward package. The controls are wonky enough to not make it boring. I was a bit confused at first on why I was not shooting, until I saw it had gun pickups. The birds and cats really die, it was surprising! I liked the paper trail effect. I wasn't sure how close I was to running out when I made it to the end, but the trail becoming longer was neat. Good job!

The last way by Arficord 2023-05-02T07:04:24Z

Very good looking game, music was nice too. Figuring out what to do took a bit of time, but I did reach the boat and moved around. A few technical issues I would like to see fixed is audio feedback for hitting enemies and getting hit. I was killed by the fire land ghosts, though they were still tracking me at the house. I tried to listen to the pretty long ghost stories on the boat, but after only one gave positive karma I yeeted them as soon as I could to see what was next. After a point the wind led me to nothing, so I have to guess I saw everything. It would have been good to have something say a message based on whatever karma based system this game had, but the visuals were pretty to look at. The supposed speed the rowboat moves is pretty funny too. Good work!

Hemophilia by Roomy 2023-05-04T20:26:33Z

This was a good emulation of the style of games that expect you to die a lot! I really like trying to conquer such challenges in games, so I kept trying for a good long while. Eventually I managed to reach the boss and was satisfied. The only real nitpick in the controls is that it should not let you waste a dash if you are standing still, as it does nothing but set it on a recharge.

Good job!

You Are The End by TooLoo 2023-05-13T03:33:21Z

Good emphasis on the presentation of the story. I had a few odd glitches. Whenever I had to restart from dying, the music was complete jumbled up noise, to the point I had to mute the game to keep playing. I would try to run away from some enemies if they spotted me, but they managed to kill me from their positions, even though it did not look like the infected could use ranged attacks. Some scenarios were interesting, like the infected patrolling the outside of a house. It would be better with some polish, nice work!

Aqua Mama Drama by aqua mama 2023-05-11T04:14:44Z

DramamaHighScore.PNG

I think you had a very clever mechanic in this game! It took a bit of time to get used to how the fish would die on the rocks and get stuck on the sides, though I learned the real trick was using the jump wisely to get the entire school of fish over every major obstacle. It looks really nice for just having one day to work on it, I would have liked to see what else could have been done with more time.

Good work!

LD57 — Depths

Carpathian Goodbye by FireSlash 2025-04-12T03:33:40Z

A neat story that rewards playing to the end. The random generation of levels made some odd layouts, with treasure not just being out of reach, but in the walls made it take that much longer to get any money at the start. It was cool to see with each new oxygen upgrade I could get just a bit further down. Eventually I could reach level 3, and had enough credit to get the vampire skill. That is when the game really clicked for me, and I shot instantly down to the bottom! It was fun actually going for the fish with extra bashes that it felt like it should have been part of the core loop more! Faster draining oxygen with bigger oxygen boosts on hits, that would be a fun! Good visuals and audio and more fun with more ability made this a great game, good work!

Planet Diver by milano23 2025-04-08T04:16:25Z

The movement is a bit hard to get a handle on. The momentum of going left and right builds up so gradually and slowly, and decreases just as slow. Though when it switches direction, it is sudden and hard to predict correctly. The pixel look of the tunnel made the collision clear, though the player model not being a pixel made the collision box less clear. Having the branching tunnels look nice, but can be distracting. Without the given picture of the whole level I was unsure if they were alternate paths or not.

Forged Below by freamdev 2025-04-08T08:26:12Z

The constant demand for weapons is a good pressure to keep the player moving. I felt stuck in a tight loop until I got some upgrades, then suddenly I felt that it was too easy to meet all the demands. It is an odd balance to reach, as after that it was just a waiting game to reach the end. The noise design is mostly good, though one sound kept playing that sounded negative but I did not know what it signified, as I was meeting the demands at that point. I would have liked to see more tiers of forging unlocked past the second set. Good work all around!

Loot Mine by gamescodedogs 2025-04-09T20:36:58Z

I do enjoy the peace of digging through rocks, and managed to beat the final boss with little trouble. The game looks visually great. I do wish there was more room to make strategic choices. A single run is enough to get a feel for each effect, and the freeze on the pickaxe was easily the best effect to deal with enemies without getting hit at all. There seemed to be little incentive to go for floors that had enemies as even healing floors offered gold to be found. It was pretty funny to get to a shop near the end and it had a basic sword to buy when I had a shining legendary I just found. Very nice work!

How the Moon Got Its Colors by Carraka 2025-04-11T21:10:23Z

Very stylish game! It was cool to see the color come back according to how much of each color tear was collected. The buildup of the effectiveness of each ability was fun, especially with the yellow vortex able to suck up all nearby tears quickly by the end. The percent ranks at the end encouraged me to play again to get 100% in all the colors. Having only the cows have collision was a bit funny, I can see an idea where you can go through obstacles once you have matching colors in an expanded version to make traversal easier. A lot of focus on the audio component, it came out very nicely! Good work!

Root & Rope by Alexascher 2025-04-08T19:07:09Z

This is very well done! The puzzle solving is unique and easy to understand, it is clear what to do to beat each level. Minor critiques would be the last level being mostly waiting halts the pacing the rest of the game had. Sometimes the button being the space to jump and place ropes made some spots tricky. Everything is put together to an excellent degree. I wanted to play more levels, great job!

Undercity by Monado 2025-04-09T08:30:35Z

The scale of this game is impressive! I am in awe of how large of a map you were able to make, and to have it be varied enough to the end! I liked the weapon variety, though I mainly stuck to the lightweight weapons as I had ammo in the thousands. I am glad I learned to hold shift to run fast, it made the wall jumping work really well.

The audio issues got annoying at parts. As cool as it is that enemies persist between rooms, hearing three robots shooting off screen was annoying. I had to make sure I killed the respawning robots every time I went back through a room just to keep my sanity. Some other minor glitches include enemies and dropped items clipping, and a new room not loading correctly until I respawned.

Still, this did feel like a sizeable game that was not bloated or padded. A solid platforming action game. I felt rewarded when I read the item descriptions and saw how I could make those extra jumps to get even cooler weapons! Great work!

Mine Goblin by maximevincent 2025-04-08T03:28:09Z

It is pretty funny to ragdoll around, trying to hit the obstacles for that extra burst of speed. It reminds me of those 2D cannon games where you try to go as far as you can, now with more depth. With the same level layout it was possible to learn the best path to reach the bottom, of about 830 with all of the gold. The actual lowest I got was clipping out of the tunnel and free falling for a while. For that instance I am thankful the game let me restart from the menu quickly.

It is a pretty good joke that you can move around as a goblin initially on the ground, just to flail about for the actual game. I believe moving the camera around let me ragdoll in specific directions better, as that was how I got to the end. The visual component aids the feels of the game as well. Good job!

Call from the depths by pitivie 2025-04-08T22:41:34Z

The corpse as a physical object mechanic is clever, though I wish the level design was nicer. I played through the game twice, looking for the last item only to find an empty pedestal at a point where I could go no further. The time to make paths by repeated deaths took longer each time I had to run back, making the gameplay feel very repetitive. I was pleasantly surprised to see the second item, when I eventually found it, gave the ability to respawn in place. I was less pleased to see it on a timer, meaning I had to wait in place if I did not want to do the same run over and over. Why it does not apply to spiked deaths almost feels like an oversight. The visuals and audio add to a nice mood, the overall package could have been more leniently designed. Still, good job!

Painball by AmberFall92 2025-04-08T01:03:21Z

Very well polished game here! Flipping a pinball table does add a unique perspective in predicting how the ball will move around. I was afraid at first to place traps, but I was glad to see the game slows down when placing them. I did lose a few lives though as I wanted to place a trap, but could not save the ball at the very top when the normal speed resumed. It was bad timing on my part!

Excellent attention to detail, seeing the devil press the buttons alongside me was nice. Great job!

The Quota by ArkansasLover 2025-04-08T05:15:02Z

Very well done! The atmosphere is top notch, it was creepy to explore the tunnels even after I completed the game. The long windup really adds to the danger of the combat, as simple as it is. The objective was relatively easy to complete, though I did like the agony of how long it took to mine each deposit.

The lighting system is cool, it made me do circle sweeps in case something was around. I would have liked to see more variety in what could be found in the tunnels, but that is just a limit of the time. I really liked seeing the health would go to normal after resting a bit. It made it viable to clear out enemies as I went along. Great work!

Forge Rush by Laurynas 2025-04-09T19:46:21Z

I was able to get a high score in the third level, though I see there is not really an end to the orders as it did not stop once I got 15 and beyond. I do like the increasing difficulty at each stage, as having more recipes to consider puts more pressure on memorizing more. Playing it single player it was easy to see it would be impossible to get all orders done, even speed gassing around quicker, so there was a trade-off system happening where I would ignore double orders in favor of singles. I probably only beat the game with all the single leather hood orders I got. I did have fun playing and learning how to make each item! Besides having a tutorial to teach each aspect, an icon for the two crafting stations to make them more obvious at first would be a good detail to include. Good work!

Excapade by Ch48 2025-04-10T21:44:17Z

I was really getting into the zone playing this game! At first I was being cautious to avoid enemies and find the diggable paths to get as much money as I could. After I got some upgrades I was able to go pretty fast through the levels as the enemies could not really catch up. Then I got enough upgrades I could one hit KO all enemies, letting me just blaze through each level getting as much gold as I could! It was so fun clearing as much as I could that I was sad to see I could not dig through the harder looking blocks after getting so many upgrades. I thought it was funny when I could see an enemy out of bounds, presumably as they walked out of the exit tile. I liked how this game let me just dig as fast as I could, and the turn based nature of enemy movement meant I could reasonably plan out where I could go to avoid them. Some more upgrades with impact, enemy behavior, and an end to reach is all I could ask for. Excellent work!

Gold Digger by Kekyr 2025-04-08T20:31:46Z

GoldStuck.PNG For a simple auto scroller, there is room for neat movement options. Rapidly moving left and right lets you stay in place. Going for all the gold in a layer felt like an advanced strategy to go for a higher score. I was wondering if there was a bottom, and when I reached it I got stuck without a way to restart. The sound effect for hitting a wall is pretty loud, which can be comical but repeated quickly enough it gets grating. A funny issue popped up I had to check. The game's resolution is so big I had to scale down the screen size, but that caused the score and depth text to leave the screen, so I didn't know what my score was until I hit an end. The UI features can get weird in unity. I find textmeshpro to be more reliable to exist in real space sometimes. More variation would be cool to see. Good work!

INANIS INANIS by Samilon 2025-04-17T07:25:52Z

WinScreen.PNG This was an interesting experience! It was like being thrown into the deep into the pool to learn how to swim, it took a fair number of ship explosions to understand what was going on. Then a couple more to find the right gameplay strategy to reach the end. I liked the 3D movement here, it added a good level of challenge! I would have liked the main form of dealing with problems to not be typing. The way of finding the problem file was good, required listening and quick sorting, but having to type their names and same command instruction was tedious. I can see a better loop being finding the problem part through the file method, and then going to the part of the ship to interact correctly. I even liked the valve timer, having two danger limits it is constantly switching between is clever. Besides an easier intro, more feedback such as an error timer somewhere would help. A more unique game over message of what exactly went wrong would have helped learn what to avoid quicker. The jokes were really good too, user name and help message got chuckles from me. Even the idea that a corrupted text file can blow up a ship is great. Good work!

R.E.M. Really Enraging Mosquito by Mcgiants 2025-04-09T02:22:32Z

It took a few tries to see how the best way to earn points was, and my best score ended up at 2244. I really enjoyed this! The offbeat aesthetic made it look like warioware, while the goofy look of the limbs moving around was reminiscent of qwop. Every time I felt like I got into the groove of how to move in each attempt, I would run out of time! Which made me want to try again to do better.

I may have gotten my best score when I managed to put multiple limbs in the same spot, which added to the silly looks. How the mosquito reacted seemed a bit random but it would usually fly away. Great work!

LootBot Dungeon by Tsaot 2025-04-11T07:27:41Z

I do quite enjoy these instruction assembly type games, it reminds me of some physical toys I have seen. The tooltips were a good idea, as I saw the return to base step was why my bots kept getting stranded, but the first one did not. I would have liked to see the second screen show the instructions being follows as the bot is moving, so it can be easy to see where it gets stuck and where to modify it for the next outing. A overall map that gets uncovered would be nice as well. The real genius I believe is the ability to send out multiple bots at once. I did not realize it was possible at first until I tried it, and it felt really cool being able to put them all out in different ways. The puzzle solving potential with multiple coordinated bots is incredible! Keep up the good work!

DungeonDescent by thisyc 2025-04-07T07:59:15Z

I had fun with this! At first the resolution of the game was so large that it barely fit, and shrinking the window caused some text to go off screen. Though once I got into the game and started drawing lines it clicked. I managed to beat the game after understanding the skill system.

Some visual glitches happened where different symbols filled the same tile, though it only registered as one specific type. Getting the synergy of the chests and upgrades to work with the skills was a fun strategy to figure out. By the end I had the border skill refreshing itself with enemy kills, a super power hard earned!

Great job!

Ad Light by jtap 2025-04-08T19:27:08Z

Well done! The movement is simple, but that allows the game to be more challenging in navigating around the enemies. The second level was tough as I seemed to get hit too easily, though when I took advantage of the large player hitbox to be able to collect the mollusks easily the game did become more enjoyable. The last level was a fun twist of a chase, though it was the easiest level to complete. The giant squid could have shot out telegraphed projectiles periodically to add some challenge? The game is visually polished, the extra details of being a fish bone when killed is cute. The random generation of enemy placement and collectibles is mostly okay, though when one mollusk is surrounded by five fish the best course of action is to tank a hit. Great work!

Shrimply Fishing by ACarr 2025-04-09T07:32:53Z

This is a good relaxing game! Low pressure vibe, just having fun catching different fish. In an optimal version of this game, new fish types would join your boat as fellow sea fishers to show your gradual progress. Even the fellow shrimp! A cozy type game, with good music and silly designs. I appreciate the Animal Crossing reference as well. I did find the controls with the mouse more versatile as it could yank in any direction. A fun take on the classic fishing minigame. Great work!

What Happened to Pinewell? by Pixelstain 2025-04-08T23:04:22Z

Very creative use of the theme! I like games where you have to explore a computer space, and this was well done! I managed to upload the files and get the message received, but could not do anything about the timer running out. I had a lot of fun with this, it could only be better with more to find. Excellent work!

THE ABYSS CALLS by BeefyPea 2025-04-08T18:54:26Z

The atmosphere is well done, with the sea getting darker and creepier the further down I went. The whiplash of the giant octopus boss fight got a good laugh. It took several attempts to actually beat it, as his damage is nearly instant death. Some invincible frames when hit would make the fight feel more balanced, and reduce the number of times I had to dive back down. It would have been nice to see some change in the ending based on how much exploration was done. The enemies staying between screens was interesting. Good work!

To The Core by izzqz 2025-04-08T02:53:46Z

AmogusCoreWin.PNG I cannot believe I tried so hard to beat this game, just to be rewarded with another death at the very bottom!

All joking aside, this game looks smooth and perfect for what it set out to do. The increasing difficulty in each section was well done, as the last gold stretch had me doubting if I could get past it at all. A fun, little frustrating package that could be a good rage type of game. Amogus was funny to see as well. Good job!

Trial Protocol by cx1 2025-04-10T05:02:54Z

This is a really fun gameplay loop! Being able to see the future layers allowed me to plan moves way in advance, which forced me to make choices that may not be good immediately but better overall. I even wanted to play it again after beating it, and it was only then I saw there was a skip function, which did help! The random generation gave good layouts, where even an easy to kill placed enemy could potentially be more useful left alive another turn. There was a glitch on the second run where at the very bottom, it scrolled past my team leaving them off screen. I could not click on their actions, so I was stuck. I still had a lot of fun with this gameplay, and I would have liked to see more! Great work!

Globby the Glutton by Kahztein 2025-10-09T06:55:55Z

Very well done! Even with limited choices, I found the best strategy to be going for health regen to stay alive long enough to break the game. Seeing the rage comments flow in one after another is really funny! I managed to get to the point where the one hit damage numbers went from being really long to just 0. That was terrifying! I would have liked an more solid end point, and if the strategy section lasted a bit longer. Overall though it was a very fun experience!

DeepBoulder by loveapplegames 2025-10-24T09:38:21Z

This is pretty neat! I had fun seeing the different kinds of levels it would generate, though I had the most fun when a level this was made.

It seemed impossible at first, and very easy to get stuck in with a wrong move. It is possible to beat though, which makes it rewarding to keep trying. The movement can be tighter as it is easy to move too fast, and the boulder movement is sometimes unpredictable. The biggest level that would get made was a 9x9. Overall though this is a neat game!

The Tacks Collector by Coda Highland 2025-10-10T03:05:53Z

This is a fun runner game! After taking a few seconds to understand what was happening, I quickly got in the groove and did fairly well I believe. Got to the prodigy ranking at least. The systems work well together, as the pins are the goal, it is better to miss a few if it means not losing more by falling or hitting a cup. It is a rare game where slowing down is very necessary and natural to do even when I am constantly moving. I believe the longer I am running, the faster overall I am going as when I do fall after a while, it feels a lot slower. Solid visuals, nice song, good work!

Head Count by Langotriel 2025-10-10T20:56:05Z

This game looks very good! The unique lines for each head are a nice detail. The pacing of the game is a bit odd to me. I believe the last two levels had to be so short due to time constraints, as well as the inability to use the last head in any part of the game. The difficulty is also not very balanced. I could stand on the first boss hitting them as the eye laser did very pitiful damage. Hiding behind the table for the bull trivialized the fight. The mantis fight is the best one as having to move around the room adds a lot to the gameplay decision making that needs to happen. The last boss was constantly healing and dealing a lot of damage no matter where I went, so it was a dps check of how much I could get the bull to run into it.

The game has a very clean look and feel to it. Good job!

United Stamps by DecadeDecaf 2025-10-11T09:15:25Z

This is a very fun game! The run and gun was solid enough, but I was not expecting to have so much fun collecting the stamps! It gave an extra layer of tactical consideration in addition to the regular gameplay. Some of them were rather clever, and encouraged repeat playthroughs for a player like me that wanted to get them all. AllStamps.png

I am happy to have a full stamp collection! The enemies were quite humorous as well. Very well done!

Showdown and Tell! by JDeeDubs 2025-10-07T21:55:24Z

This is a novel idea for a game, and I like how it is structured to be a series of contests back to back. I managed to do well with a sock puppet for my playthrough. I liked being able to see the main type of contests coming up, though I am unsure how much that impacted the scores. I would have liked being able to see more judge preferences before I finalized my sticker choices to have some more strategy involved. Without being able to see the judges, other competitors, or even the initial turn order, a lot of the gameplay comes down to luck. Reacting to that luck is okay, but the limit of three actions do not have that much wiggle room.

One small visual glitch is at the end screen, I am sure I saw bronze medals for the rounds I won and a gold medal for the round I lost, so they must have been swapped. The toys and references were very funny, it could only have been better with more information given. Good job!

Rain by T C 2025-10-07T04:36:28Z

This was fun to play through! I do like the consistent logic of collecting essence and how it is applied to solving different kinds of puzzles. I find myself looking for everything possible to do in a game, so it was a fun feeling to have collected the kingfisher essence before I knew I needed it for the door. The trio interrogation is an easy highlight, as what they say about each other does matter. I hope you do continue this, good job!

Open. Owe. Repeat. by DariZz 2025-10-08T03:41:52Z

This is really well done! I was a bit unsure what to do at first, but after seeing how the boxes interact with the table, then the shelves, then the selling point, and getting the game over, I was well equipped to beat the game the second time through. It has that satisfaction of getting the final piece for a set that a gacha game has, and the repeated disappointment of getting the same frog with sunglasses five times in a row. I really do appreciate how lucky it feels to finally complete a set and make money from it. The biggest thing to impress me was the smart placing of the items on the shelves. It will start a new row if it already has the same collectible on a shelf, and if there is no more room it will not place it down. Made it really seamless! Great look, fun loop, great job!

Skull Issue by KAVERZA 2025-10-08T03:59:55Z

This was short and sweet, while still being a fun time. It is a bit hard to interact with the environment as just a skull and the ivy is weird to climb. Once the game gets legs going though it is easy enough to jump on everything and make it to the end. The end was rather thrilling as well! Good work!

CollectAnts by EricNS 2025-10-09T05:12:11Z

This is a nice take on the tower defense genre! I usually like the micro managing of placing towers, but having a broad control over how different stats and collections work does give a different perspective on how best to play the game. Some more feedback on what the current player stats are would help to know that they are changing over time, and how a different approach may do better. I eventually got to the point where the ants were vibrating in place, and I could not be stopped. AntScore.PNG At that point I was happy with any score, because not a single enemy could survive the first hit. It was really funny to reach this kind of breaking point! I sort of wanted to upgrade the enemies so I could get more points from getting to this ridiculous level of power. Good job with this idea!

DiceKeeper by AQtun 2025-10-09T03:33:09Z

This is a very solid execution of this idea! I got a handle on the rules quickly, and I appreciate the code does the legwork and making sure the selected dice do belong in the right groups. This was the best score I managed to get after a few unlucky tries. DiceScore.PNG The collectible dice really do come in handy, the best one was the extra save as anything that can help lessen the damage of a bad roll always helps. After I got six unique dice though, it seems like I could not get any new effects added, even though the options kept coming up. I am not completely sure, but I did not see more saves become available. One small annoying thing that happened was a dice leaning on another dice. I was usually confident what number it was supposed to be, but it was not completely certain. Good job!

Alex's Taxes by ExMachina 2025-10-07T03:40:52Z

This looks very interesting, though there are several bugs preventing me from getting very far in the game. When I touch the sign to move out of the first area, the game freezes completely. Sometimes it is stuck on the screen touching the sign, sometimes I can see a glimpse of the next level, but everything is frozen. Even the music stops playing. Also, moving left at the start finds a hole in the floor. I also tried the downloadable version of the game, and it crashed trying to move past the sign as well. Though on one attempt I saw a glimpse of an ice level instead of a grass level.

To go over what is playable, the move set is very fluid! It really does the Celeste style very well. I like how even the feather on the cap indicates the dash has been used. The two conversations I can have are funny, and the visuals are very well done. I do hope you can fix the scene transitions so I can play some more of this game.

Crypt Of Collection by Theothervc 2025-10-08T08:20:17Z

It is a hard game, though I do like trying to beat a challenge. The unfortunate part is that I got stuck on a puzzle as I had no idea how to get past it. After climbing the platforms with yellow and green coins next to it, there is a section with a vertical block, a horizontal block, and a horizontal bar, with spikes next to it. How I am supposed to move the bar without hitting the spikes I could not figure out. I downloaded the windows version in case I was missing something but there was nothing to be done. At least I could see Weezer in the distance!

Up to that point, the challenges were brutal and punishing with each death sending me back to the start. I got used used to it though as I kept hitting the same roadblock that I could reach. I even made sure to collect ten coins just to make sure it would kill me, and it did. Still a neat concept on a mechanic that can help as easily as it can hurt you. Good job!

LD59 — Signal

Plug n Play: Mixed Signals by LandoSystems 2026-04-21T03:03:10Z

PlugPlayWin.PNG

I had a pretty good time with this game! It looks good, sounds good, plays good, and is pretty silly with its jokes. I managed to beat it on the first attempt, apparently without losing any cities. Either the strategy clicked on how to move signals around, or the cannons doing most of the work for me, worked out. Another weekend well spent, great work!

We Trust You Are Well by atmospherium 2026-04-23T02:49:39Z

Very clever use of three signal sliders! I liked the story as it unfolded. I made sure to see what each of the three paths looked like, nice to see they vary some. I got chills at specific parts, seeing what the text would spell out. Well done!

Between the Pulsing Stars by Carraka 2026-04-21T22:00:58Z

The presentation is top notch! The story is well done, and it was nice to see the planned endings still viewable in the game. I really liked the set up, and the mechanic of finding and recording signals. I was only able to get the bad ending though. No matter what I recorded on several playthroughs and with different approaches, I only ever got static as my email responses. It may have helped if there was more of an indicator that what I was recording was part of something important.

Still, great job on the sound design especially. I'm pretty sure I could hear what was needed to.

Dragonia Siege by Euler Moises 2026-04-21T01:54:47Z

Very good presentation, the music changing when going inside a building is a great detail. I managed to get up to three jewels. The easy one, the shovel, and the illusion one. The two harder ones were found somewhat on accident, as I was just walking all over the map after a while. There are a lot of dialogue and hints, though try as I might those other three jewels are beyond me for now. The three endings I did get were funny too, I liked that at least the third one is considered a good ending. The difficulty in knowing what to do is also very reminiscent of older retro games, so in that regard you did a very good homage as well!

The movement system is really well done, I like how there is momentum in turning, and the character sprites reflect that. They only change direction when the momentum goes in that direction. Visuals are well done. The actual game portion is simple, but that tends to happen when time limits are imposed. There is at least dialogue indicating everything has been collected. I am very interested to see what you do with this project next!

Syagori, don't listen to anyone! by HNKXOBKA 2026-04-21T20:51:09Z

I was able to protect her, even if her life became dreadfully boring. The simple choices in keeping her alive do encourage thinking ahead some. It is pretty easy to let two bars down to nothing and get the worst ending. It feels like the dialogue choices impact the stats, though I may be reading into it too much. Great mood setting, a real catch-22 situation where there is always a down side.

Return Signal by CaptAndrey 2026-04-24T05:51:38Z

Very well done, the presentation is excellent! The gameplay and visuals perfectly capture the feeling of sending a pinged signal and waiting for one in return. The levels do add a surprising amount of tension with more things to signal to, and their slow but steady approach made me nervous. I imagine if I needed extra signals to send, the ID system would be used but I never ended up needing it. A good way to increase difficulty would be to have the short list of signals to use change each level, as I did get comfortable with the first set of sequences. I had fun, good work!

Remote pest control specialist by sledzik 2026-04-22T19:51:11Z

I had a lot of fun with this game! I liked having to switch between the two vehicles to balance setting up towers and being the main mobile damager. I was able to keep up for the most part, then the red bugs attacked and got me pretty quick. I did find a funny exploit though. Pressing continue put me back in wave 12, with only the lowest bugs spawning. A lot of them spawned, but a few quick towers was enough. Then it was easy from there to have the humans win. It felt like a different difficulty mode, so it worked out to still being fun! Good job!

M0NK3_CONTROL by Adam Gallina 2026-04-23T08:56:43Z

I had a funny playthrough of this game. I spent a bit too long looking for the generator since I didn't fully enter the room it was in, even with the right scan going. Understanding why those doors closed on me took a while even with the document telling me I was supposed to lock them. By sheer coincidence I believe I locked the last enemy in the room with the password, so I had to wait a while to get it to move elsewhere.

I really do like the typing interface of the game, the waiting around and time it took to figure some things out did add a bit more frustration than I thought it would. Tony also talks way too fast, it would be nice to have dialogue proceed on click instead of automatically. I do think the presentation was really well done, and I did understand the controls right away. Just knowing what the game wanted from me was bumpy. Good work!

Excellent game! Outstanding in all remarks! I was initially wondering how the gameplay would evolve while getting upgrades, though seeing on a few playthroughs how the choice of upgrade impacts other aspects was very neat! It ensures that there is always a bottleneck in the process, which causes more hectic gameplay, making it engaging the whole way through. I also like how you can pet the cat on the title screen, very cute!

Seeking The Signal by Jesse Martin 2026-04-23T06:13:32Z

The atmosphere is set well, the multiple ambient noises and fixed camera position that only rotates to follow the player character. What to actually do in the was beyond me, I spent a while clicking every pixel I could get the mouse to click on and the only things I could pick up was a gas can and water. I could make the player walk down both sides of the road far into the distance, behind the gas station building, and even clip through it. The only change in game state I could notice was the road gate going away when I got water, which did not clue me in to much. Some controls explanation would be nice, even just to say that only left mouse button clicking does anything. Point and click games do have the trouble of having puzzles that can seem weird to solve, so an in game hint system is vital for a player to know they are at least on the right track. The concept seemed interesting, I would have liked to see more of it. Good work on the visuals too!

Signal Breaker by Senso 2026-04-24T20:24:17Z

I managed to save humanity! I thought it was pretty easy going at first, just had to line up shots that didn't hit the big scary red skull. Then I noticed I kept taking damage and realized that skull number was persistent damage, and I had to adjust my shopping strategy to invest in health and defense. I did have to balance where I hit the shots, which makes for good choice making! Well done!

Meerkat Panic! by yoko-san 2026-04-22T08:32:42Z

The meerkats are adorable, I liked how you call out their names to warn them. There are a good number of different animals to look out for, and even the predators have some different color schemes. I could even tell some animals based on their footsteps.

I played what seemed like a pretty long while, and the game didn't do that much to change up, or have an ending to reach. The need to cut features for the time limit is a very understandable one! Still good work with what is here.

Super Space Rescue Game by ofoof 2026-04-21T02:26:46Z

You may need to update the game again. It opens, but I only see something in space with a radar and numbers on screen. No buttons move or react to anything. I'll have to check on this later.

Subpar Treasure Seeker by Phasmantic 2026-04-22T22:08:29Z

I managed to get down to 16770 meters deep. I went so far in that darkness the ocean was splitting in the background. The horrors of the deep ocean can be scary, thankfully this game was fun to play! I also collected $11500, even without anything to spend it on it was fun to find and collect it. A nice touch that deeper chests give more money as well. The audio was on the loud side, though I can understand very well that getting a good sound balance is tricky. It would be interesting to see what this game could be like with some more time put into it, good job!

Void Signals by desi 2026-04-22T21:44:08Z

A neat game that I enjoyed! I liked the different types of riddles that had a mostly integrated theme with each other. Hearing the sounds from boxes was funny and novel, though I would have liked if the sounds themselves were a part of the puzzle solving process. The ending was nice too, I found the secret slope in the back.

Call For Help by bling 2026-04-24T07:31:59Z

CallHelpScore.PNG Hey, I was having fun! I did find the gameplay loop simple, but it was very enjoyable regardless. My first run I only managed to get to medium signals, then the second run I got to the hard signals very quick and got this score. It never did trick me, though the audio cues were more tricky than any of the visual text or buttons lighting up. Funny messages too. Some more choice involved would be an improvement, but good work all around!

Treaty by Nidoprince 2026-04-21T02:18:55Z

The concept is interesting, and I did try to play it through a couple of times. I could mostly keep up with each province changing as the news came up, and clicking fast to change it to a new color. I could send out scouts and treaties asking for what my country needed. At the end of it all, I did not know what to do with all of this information the game was giving me. Every treaty was rejected, and the game would black screen eventually in what I believe was a game over. It was clear enough to see what was happening. Red was my country, and it was always losing the wars. I did really like how it took time to get specific information, a good use of the signal theme.

Pzants by LemonChicken47 2026-04-21T10:00:18Z

I made it home! The presentation is well done. I like the concept of the signal mechanic more than how I ended up using it. The followers would scatter at any hole instead of going it, and I couldn't call them back until they came back after the gauge drained. The fireballs were enough to get me to the end, I do like the sound cue of a spider showing up. The fancy ant design is cute as well.

Freakquency by akaPythius 2026-04-22T06:11:39Z

Very solid entry! The central mechanic was easy to grasp and used well. An indicator showing the pattern would have been nice, but four colors is not that many to memorize. I like the art style used, and the funny poses the character does for his actions show a lot of personality.

The character did get stuck on the ground at one point and I needed to restart, but it was early on so that is a very small nitpick. Audio was nice, levels were nice, a good game to be proud of!
