Was a bit confused at first then found the umbrella and that was very good. Great Visuals and Audio, Context is very funny to. This is a solid entry, Great Job.

It's interesting, the artwork is beautiful, but I just have no idea where to go. I fell down the hole after the first checkpoint, got a second checkpoint, and now I'm lost.
Really cool concept, although a bit confusing at times, I believe that this game could be very fun if a bit more action and a little less puzzle was in the game, however, this so not to say that the game is, bad. It is the complete opposite.and I loved playing it
Cool game! Very nice graphics, sound and platforming. The fans were not working for me not sure if I missed something, so i got stuck in quite a few places. That fall and crash is satisfying to watch tho. Well done!
@toryf We thought it would be nice if the player just wandered arround and discovered the map. Thank you very much for playing it!
@shadowhaxz0r Yeah we had some collision box related bugs, we've fixed them by now. The key is to go left and get the umbrella item, so the player can explore the lower part of the map. Anyway, thanks for the feedback! :)
@nachtwitch The action part comes near the end! :) The key is to try to explore every area. You may not be able to access some of them until you get the unbrella (far right). Then you can descend into the hole at the right of the spawn. Thanks for the feedback!
@fupi I'm so sorry to hear that. Our intention was the player would move arround and explore the map. The key is to get the umbrella item (go left!), so that you can overcome the hole! Thanks for playing!
The pixel animation is very well done! I encountered a bug where I picked up the umbrella but it would not deploy, restarting and picking it up again let me use it. The physics are smooth and makes it enjoyable to move. I was hoping for another powerup but there was a lot of good use out of the floating gameplay. Would have been nice to do a victory lap with a flying robot at the end, but the game itself is very solid. Great job!
@toppervideogames Glad to hear you enjoyed! I think we've fixed most of bugs by now. Sadly I had a wedding on saturday so I could only work for sunday and monday evening, so we couldn't include any more mechanics. Did you collect all the gears and come back to the begining? There's an end animation.
Animation, Art overall is just great! Movement control feels descent and responsive, sound effects are pleasing. I dont even know what to say as a con, im just impressed.
Extremely beautiful and polished game! Awesome! Probably the best game i've played so far this ludum dare.
@pashashef Thanks a lot :O We really appriciate you liking the game. A lot of effort went into this so it really is fulfilling to see comments like these. <3
@awerar OMG so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for playing it, we really apreciate your comment! By the way, did you get all 30 gears ang go back to the begining? There's and end animation :D
@paude I did collect them all, and saw the arm rebuild the robot body. You guys did awesome in the short time span you had, it would be great to see this expanded in some way.
@toppervideogames Yeah we've been thinking about expanding the game. We have a list of new mechanics and ideas! Thanks for the feedback!
Fantastic game. Some mechanics feel unixplained, though. I suggest making this into a full game! I'd play that.
P.S. I use Gamemaker Studio 2, too! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
All around well done and satisfying game, good job!
Overall the game is really well done. Regarding the gameplay, I found the game very smart in the way you use fall damage as the main hazard. This makes the player think in a very different way. I liked that core mechanic a lot. The pixel art is so cool, I liked especially the parallax effect on the background, it works really well. I star of the game is also a Highlight for me, the way you need to move the hand towards the other part of the machine was pretty cool and making a very good connection with the theme.
AMAZING!!! I love the art style and the code is really well executed! I didnt find any bugs for the 30 mins that i played it! I am so coming back to this game just for fun!
@pedro-rosa Thank you so much for you feedback! It's really fulfilling to hear such things from you. Thank you very much for playing it! :D
@moddingmachine I'm so glad you like it! We'll probably expand the game in the future! Thank you for playing it!
@sheepdog123 Yeah it's true some mechanics are a bit unexplained, but I had a wedding on saturday and I had a very limited time. We'll try to introduce the new mechanics properly in the future. Thank you very much for your support!
@paude I think what happened to me was actually a glitch then, because I fell down the hole without the umbrella, held left and got the chackpoint without taking fall damage!
Ok, so I played this again (correctly this time) and yeah, this is realy good! One of the first games I played on this jam with a focus on exploration, really impressive for 24 hours! Collecting stuff is rewarding and satisfying.
@fupi Yes, we fixed the bug where you could activate the checkpoint by just touching its hitbox, now the player has to do all the animation. I'm very happy you like our game! :D
I was really impressed by the production value of your game. It made an awesome first impression, especially moving the arm to the wheel. brilliant. The platforming and moving around felt great, but from there the game became quite frustrating. With no in-game explanation of how the pickups related to progress or how to use the tools, the experience became somewhat opaque. e.g. fall damage with no indication / feedback meant that every medium-sized jump was stressful, because I didn't know where the break point was. The umbrella didn't work when I picked it up, which was a bit unfortunate. I would have liked to see where the game goes from there. Still, very appealing game, and a great effort on the look and feel for an LD game.
@adamcyounis Hey thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately we had very limited time (about 24h) and we did our best. I would have liked to animate more cinematics like the one in the begining to introduce the new mechanics but I ran out of time. By the way, did you get the umbrella item? It's like the main mechanic and the way to avoid fall damage. But anyways, thank so much for playing it!
A solid platformer! Parallax background, nice art and level design. There is a lack of few indicators and info like no gear count.
Fine platformer with quite good movement system. The two things I miss are HUD with some information about gears and goals. Anyway, well done.
@artyom-volkov @bilalch213 Thanks for playing, the missing information is due to a lack of time. We didn't think we'd get to make an ending and we didn't plan for it. Thanks anyway!
What a level design for a jam. What a game. Great job.
@marco-marchitelli Thanks <3
Holy cow! This is beautiful! I'm a big fan of all types of platformers and this look like very interesting one! Cool mechanic and art style. Great work guys!
@keseril thanks mate :)
Graphics and animations are amazing, the gameplay is so smooth and the level design… just wow.
Great work !
@avzgui Thank you so much for the feedback, it's really fulfilling to see people are enjoying what you've created! Thanks for playing! :D
I am almost overwhelmend. As a fellow Gamemaker user, these kinds of games always stun me, but they also inspire me to keep working on my own projects. The graphics are great, everything that happens in the game is actually animated *like the arm in the beginning and checking in with the checkpoints). You guys should get together immediatly to start work on a bigger prodject, I can almost garantue that it will be epic! I followed you in Itch.io, so I'll keep an eye on you ;) Great work and hope to at least see you guys next LD!
Love the technogenic art style, pipes and all, this was a reason to give game a try.
At first playthrough i fell down, activate checkpoint without animation and get stuck. Second time i took umbrella, sadly it was the only "powerup", but platforming section at the end was still fun. Great job in such a short time!
@hare-software Wow! Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot to us! I don't know how you knew it, but we're indeed working on a very big scale project, some sort of rpg combinig ideas and concepts of other games such as Hyper Lifgt Drifter, Undertale, Enter the Gungeon and some others all tied in with a nice lore. Anyways, I'm glad to hear you have enjoyed our work!
@rosik Thanks for playing! The pipelines were a very good idea to give the terrain some character. I'm actually thinking about making a post talking about them and how we used them to gideo the player to the differents areas. I'm sad to hear you enconteres a bug, we've been working hard these days to keep the game debugged. Thanks for the feedback!
@toppervideogames The umbrella bug and several more are now fixed!
If this is what you can do in 24 hours, then I look forward to when you have time to do the full 72 hours. Incredible art and very cool metroidvainia style gameplay, I personally just LOVE the death effect. I also really appreciate the fact that you have an intro (with the arm crawling to the robot).
Awesome job!
@simon-rahnasto Thanks for the kind words! I tried to make a level that would be fun to travel and that would force you to backtrack. I was insipred by metroidvania style games so glad you catched that! The crawling arm thing was the first idea we had so it is the heart of the game xD. Thanks for rating pal!
Solid game! Like the intro and how game explains the game task. Love the setting, visuals and mood. Controls too smooth for me, also I had a dissonance between normal moving and umbrella moving. Umbrella reduces character speed. Hard to adapt that point.
@saintheiser Thanks for the compliments! I am not sure if I get why controls are too smooth for you... If you mean the low acceleration its to convey the feeling of being on a wheel. And if we didn't reduce the speed on the umbrella you could just fly by some of the level! I understand it tho, thanks!
Capture.PNG It's a crush. The audio is beautiful, the little details like Robbie's noise when he lands, it's nice. The same for the graphics and the map, in only 24 hours? wow. I got the umbrella back but I can't glide with it so I'm stuck here:'( but I really enjoyed the beginning, it's a very good job
Nice game! The intro is great. Nice environment. The parallax effect works really well. Takes a bit of practice to master the controls, but then it works really well. The level layout is a bit confusing and a pickup counter would have been a nice addition. But well done overall!
@freyje I'm glad to hear you enjoyed! I'm not sure what problem you had with the umbrella pickup but if you encontered a bug, and couldn't play further and would have liked to, I encourage you to restart the game. You only played like a fifth part of the map. Anyways, thank you so much for the feedback!
@zubspace Thank you very much for your feedback! We used those controls with acceleration to give the sensation of being a wheel. We had a pickup counter planned but we ran out of time.
Nice, felt very polished! Especially the animations that were details but still very relevant.
The level design and the mechanics are awesome for a 24h game. Especially the navigation felt very rewarding with all these springs the lead one to another.
The begining is also very polished with a nice level design : we see things we can't access for now and feel the reward when we can access them later.
Bravo misters ;)
@pl4typus thanks a lot! We focused on getting the basics to feel great rather than making a big game, glad you appreciated the details. The downside of this kind of level design is that not everybody gets it :( but when you do it's really rewarding. Thanks for the feedback <3
