LD57 — Depths

Depth of Field by Gao Ming 2025-04-10T16:47:48Z

I love the idea to play with the depth of focus of the camera! The scenes/levels are neat too. I was a bit shocked when she suddenly became a ghost. The graphics are amazing. This turned out very professional looking

St. Harold the Devout by bwalter 2025-04-17T06:26:54Z

Cool game! I liked that the tongue had different functionality from the rest of the limbs. The mushrooms resetting the position all the way to the beginning seemed a bit too punishing, so maybe checkpoints could help a bit. Other than that, I liked the game. Pretty impressive for being made in only 14 hours. I wasn't able to get to the end though..

Moos from the Depth of Space by notnasiul 2025-04-21T02:55:41Z

This game was so good! I really liked the creative premise, and the pixel art was very polished. Overall amazingly done!

Coin Grind by jester1454 2025-04-11T16:32:42Z

Very fun game! This is one of my favorite entries so far. The mechanics are simple but enjoyable, and each level has enough variety to prevent the game from getting dry. Great job!

A Quest To Bear by Fis 2025-04-11T17:16:05Z

Nice game! I like the puzzles and the graphics. I definitely agree with some of the other comments about this game being very polished. It looks and plays like a very professionally made mobile game. Great entry!

Dyamid by leorean 2025-04-23T07:06:23Z

Wow, this game is amazing! The mechanics are interesting, the level design is spectacular, and the level of polish is incredible. Great job!

The Deep Dive into Another World is over? by HNKXOBKA 2025-04-13T04:36:45Z

Cool game! I like that you can shoot the enemy projectiles out of the air. The ending felt a little anticlimactic, but I thought it was neat that the radio message changed after winning.

Pushing Forward by KeithSwanger 2025-04-10T17:09:17Z

Great game! It starts out simple enough, but ramps up in difficulty quickly. The only thing I could think of to improve it is to randomize the button positions or change the map after a certain number of levels. I liked seeing the "hero" on the right side going through the dungeon. Great concept and execution!

Faith-e-vator by BadPiggy 2025-04-08T16:20:15Z

Great concept and implementation! I would love to see this developed further.

Spear Bird by renrok 2025-04-21T03:12:30Z

I love the game and the concept! The art is great too. The only thing that I had a bit of trouble with was figuring out the controls. I liked the upgrade system, and the different fishes that were included. Overall great game!

Swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooord!! by She Wrote 2025-04-12T03:28:23Z

Fun concept! It would be neat to be able to rotate objects. I like the art style

Deep Hour by Cammin 2025-04-08T05:24:27Z

One of the ghosts kept spawn camping me, but otherwise a neat game! I liked the layout/design of the map.

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-12T01:16:23Z

Neat game concept! I tried for around 30 minutes, but couldn't get past the second lava area, where the slope from above pushes you into the lava. Maybe its a skill issue or a browser issue, but I wasn't able to jump high enough to get up the slope. I love the concept and the overall game design though! The game is simple but neat, with room to be expanded on if you decide to.

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-12T17:48:21Z

@ntmalichi Thank you for the response! I got past that part, and now I'm stuck where @the3rdhunter and @andrewkennedy got stuck. Its good to see that it wasn't a bug that was causing my previous issue.

Voidbound by Nef1k 2025-04-14T05:06:17Z

Cool game! I agree with some of the suggestions of people above. It'd be neat to see some way to get additional spells, or upgrade current ones with the drops from enemies. I liked the isometric blocks a lot, and I thought it wasn't too hard to move around (except for 1-block wide pathways). I'm looking forwards to seeing how it gets improved post jam.

Into The Abyss by Constance 2025-04-12T06:26:40Z

Pretty neat game! Making the camera scroll added some challenge to the game, especially when trying to grab all the chests. The float effect after grabbing a potion was a bit annoying, since it sometimes threw me into dart traps or nearly caused the screen to catch up, unless that was intentional to introduce a bit of an downside to grabbing a potion. Overall cool entry

Into The Abyss by Constance 2025-04-12T17:26:00Z

@constance Sounds epic! I'll gave it another try (the gameplay feels much smoother now), and I'm looking forwards to seeing how it gets improved post-jam

Deep in the Folders by Playrea 2025-04-10T16:41:21Z

Neat game! I was also stuck in the signal folder for a while. I like how you incorporated the other themes into the folder structure, and hid hints in there. The first time I got to the end I pushed the button, but hopefully now that I've commented my information will be safe.

Deep Dive Probe by MikhailNe 2025-04-21T05:12:26Z

I liked the concept a lot! The only things I would recommend changing is the speed to move between layers (maybe with an upgrade?) and it felt to me like the controlled for moving between layers should have been swapped. S feels like it "should" move the sub towards me, rather than away from me. Maybe adding a controls keybinder in the settings or a toggle to swap between? Aside from those things, I thought the game was really neat, and I liked the way you implemented it!

BeastBound by pranav.cl 2025-04-23T06:05:56Z

Cool game! I played for a good 10 minutes until I got killed by a jaguar. I liked the gameplay of searching for resources to get upgrades, though it seemed a bit hard to find them sometimes. The music was very catchy! Overall nice job!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-08T18:28:06Z

@jazzydingo Thank you! Glad you liked the game

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-08T18:30:52Z

@based-on-life Honestly, I can see what you mean by it seeming like a flash game. As for the difficulty: The deeper fish are supposed to be pretty difficult, but it should be a bit easier if you get the reel strength upgrade. Thank you for playing and reviewing!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-08T18:31:27Z

@grizeldi Thank you for the comment! I had planned on adding music to match the rhythm, but I didn't end up having the time to do that. Maybe I'll give it a try in a few weeks after I'm less burnt out.

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-08T22:31:25Z

@indiealesha Thank you for playing and commenting! Good luck to you as well

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-09T15:26:10Z

@Cammin Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm sorry to hear that it froze. I'm not entirely sure what might've caused that, but I'll look into it.

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T02:29:07Z

@winniehell Thank you for the feedback and for sharing the error messages! That will definitely help me figure out what caused that bug. I know that @cammin had a similar issue with a game freeze. For now, I've updated the game to make it save your progress after catching fish. This should prevent loss of progress if the game crashes or freezes again.

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T02:34:32Z

@wetburritosupreme @bashem @jamesgames1000 @xoreaxeax Thank you all for the comments and feedback! I had hoped to add music and more sound effects, but didn't end up having the time to do so. I'll probably revisit this in the future to add more sound and a proper background music track. Thanks again for playing!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T02:52:03Z

@eyedromeda Thank you for playing and for the suggestions! I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the hook speed being slow. The hook should be somewhat controllable using the arrow keys or wasb during the whole time it's going down, and the hook movement speed (including during descent) is upgradable.

The only things I could really think to change is increasing the hook starting speed or the max hook speed. Do you think either of these might help? Thank you again!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T02:52:49Z

@flying-dog-fish There should be a square outline in the middle of your screen while reeling in fishes, with key prompts. You're supposed to hit the corresponding key when the symbol is in the middle of the square. I just fixed a bug where this would be moved off the screen if the game was played with high/low resolutions. Did this bug happen to you? Other than that, I definitely agree that it would be much nicer with additional indicators. Thank you for playing and for your feedback!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T02:54:30Z

@notsu @astoeth @spacecadet Thank you all for playing and for the kind words!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-14T21:14:48Z

@flying-dog-fish Gotcha, makes sense. If I update the game post-jam, I'll try to add some more visual and audio cues

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-15T01:57:57Z

@nbumgardner Thank you for playing it! Like you thought in stream, we used bfxr/jsfxr for the few sounds we did include. We had a sound for the correct keypresses, but it was too repetitive/annoying and we didn't have enough time to adjust it, so we left it out. Also, I wish we had thought of the idea to make the movements dodge the fish around the trash/floating objects (the key order and the trash movement is randomized). That's a great idea that we might try to implement in the future. I only caught the end of the stream, but I'll try to catch some of your future ones.

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-17T06:46:40Z

@hnkxobka Thank you for playing and for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the animation and game as a whole. Adding extra fish/sea creatures would definitely improve the game and allow for a smoother difficulty transition. I'm not yet sure if we'll continue to work on this, but if we do, more fish is probably one of the first things we would add.

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-23T05:46:00Z

@flaterectomy Thank you for the feedback! We definitely had hoped to do more with the audio, but since it was our first time using Godot (as well as our first time trying Game dev or Game Jams in general), we had our hands a bit full with the rest of the game. We definitely plan to prepare more for audio for future jams we might do! If we keep working on this game, I'm sure we'll add a proper sound track and sound effects. Thank you again for your comment and for playing!

Fred's Fishing Frenzy by Phasmantic 2025-04-23T05:47:43Z

@pranav-cl Thank you very much. We are glad you liked the game, and really appreciate the comment!

SUNK by Urosh 2025-04-23T05:34:38Z

I like the concept. Overall pretty neat game. The person I played it with got lost a few times and got frustrated, so maybe having a minimap might help so that players don't get lost on their way back? I liked the gameplay overall, and the variety of background fishes.

Abimes by Kessel Nebula 2025-04-21T02:50:03Z

The art is so amazing! That shark scared me. I loved how vibrant and beautiful the ocean was. Great job!

Nightmare Digger by OnnGD 2025-04-11T16:17:01Z

Neat game! I liked the audio. Simple enough concept with good implementation.

Life&Depth by Jacky San 2025-04-21T03:19:15Z

Amazing job with the pixel art. Simple enough concept, but great implementation!

Record Depth by Indiealesha 2025-04-08T16:31:12Z

Fun concept, albeit a bit gory. Btw, there may or may not be a bug where he starts "swimming" through air and breaking his arms if you start holding LMB before he hits the ground.

I like the different scenarios you came up with. The commentary for the hero was my favorite.

LD59 — Signal

Signal Weave by alexhonor 2026-05-02T20:46:32Z

Cool game! I had fun making a little factory and connecting the signals. It seems like my map spawned with a lot more black holes than stars though, and it mighve been nice if it were a bit more color-blind friendly (the purple and blue looked the same to me, along w/ the green and yellow). Overall though, I had a lot of fun trying this game, maxing all the bonuses, and getting past 100k/second.

Fillmore's Island by Jeremy Ryan 2026-04-22T22:23:40Z

Great game! I loved it. Nice job

Signal Breaking by TopperVideoGames 2026-04-25T20:21:26Z

Great game! Pretty tough though. I managed to unlock all of the buttons, then my computer died. I especially liked the dialog you added. Nice job!

rescue signal by OldDog 2026-05-02T19:55:08Z

Great game! I love the incremental upgrades

Mama Duck Hero by runningopenloop 2026-05-02T21:12:28Z

Well, at least 4 of my ducks survived.. that counts for something, right? It was hard to get the hungry ones food, since the less hungry ones kept eating them. I loved the voice acting, and it's impressive that your kids were able to help so much! Nice game!

Subpar Treasure Seeker by Phasmantic 2026-04-21T01:35:37Z

@brucezoom Thanks for playing and for reviewing! I agree about the game progression, I had intended to add upgrades and a small story to the game (which the money would be necessary for), but I ran out of time. Sub damage was also intended, but also got neglected after the other scope creep..

Subpar Treasure Seeker by Phasmantic 2026-05-04T00:34:36Z

@jezzamon Ooops.. the generation algorithm is supposed to check the tiles above the chests before placing them, to make sure that this doesn't happened. Maybe theres a bug in that part of the code. Missiles are a fun idea for an upgrade though. Thanks for playing!

Propagation by MemoLoop 2026-05-03T00:29:51Z

Nice job! It fits the theme pretty well. I was curious what would happen if the door crushed the player, and it was neat to see that you had planned for players doing that. Those spikes also got me on the first attempt, but I was able to beat it after that

Signal Tower Delivery by Jikazushi 2026-04-22T22:33:13Z

The game seems neat, but unfortunately I'm stuck on the first level. Is there something I'm supposed to do after placing all the towers? I really like the concept you went for, and the graph-paper like graphics. Nice job!

Signal of Memories | 忆波 by Seasea 2026-04-21T21:42:28Z

Great game! I love the art. Only suggestion is having the two different "attack" types as separate key binds, instead of one key for signaling and a toggle to switch between. Really well done!
