Really loved the graphics! Controls felt a bit slow, mostly rotating to fight enemies. Overall pretty cool!
Wow, such an ambitious game. The graphics are truly gorgeous: Title screen, ships, characters, all of it. Love the sci-fi/bronze age theme. Also the modular ship system is interesting. I love that the damage in the ship combat layer is reflected in the platformer layer.
In-ship combat is really weird (just tapping shield as you approach the archer). Both the platformer and ship controls are really slow and hard to use. Also on my second run I ended up dying because I couldn't identify which ship was mine in a cluttered battlefield.
You should really upload this game to Itch.io or share some social media links here or something so that I can follow you to see what you do next.
Wow, this is clever as heck and bonkers ambitious for a compo entry.
Very ambitous, graphics are great. Having to discard your ship is nice. I do wish you could have more control on what enemy ship your portal locks onto or that you can repair your thrusters so you dont end up hopeless as much.
i like gud game
Incredibly cool, i really like the way the spaceship interiors look.
Really nice graphic, keep up the good work ! The designed of the enemy bots is really good. Impressivie
Really like the idea. I love that you can board a ship, kill the crew, and now the ship is no longer a threat.
This game is so good! I'm amazed you managed to do that in only 48 hours. Would love to play a longer, more polished version.
Impressive graphics you are really good at pixel art. You have some really cool and ambitious mechanics like repairing your ship teleport in other ships, combat inside ships, stealing ships. I was frustrated by losing with the destruction of the universe on the left. I wish I could powerup my ship (speed, laser, shields). Your game is in need of some music tracks. Well done it's impressive for only 1 person in 48H
Wow that was ambitious, I'm impressed, that's a lot of different gameplays in a single game, well done ! The art is great, the game plays well, even if it is currently a bit too hard for me. I loved the fact that you can board the ship to take control of it, even if there is actually no real point of doing that, my ship was always better than the others. It is also a bit merciless, one mistake and you die... But it's a compo game so all I can say is amazing job !
please play and rate more games. more people need to see this. fantastic wee game loop you created here. its basically a finished game. like all thats left is some variations on already existing things. though i still enjoyed the minimalism of this jam version. as others have said amazing work for a compo game
Woah, best entry I've seen yet. Amazing job that you put this together for a compo!
Well done!
This is a super impressive game. I loved the combat system where you could damage parts of the ship and killing enemies was cool.
Definitely a fan of the aesthetic here. Fighting on foot seems really hard, and it's easy to just get wrecked in space and not have a good ship to jump to. I wish there were some sense of progression, but otherwise the idea and execution are really cool.
This really impressive work done! Being able to make two modes of play that work pretty well together is an accomplishment on its own, and its even better that they work as well as they do. It does seem the optimal way to play is to not get hit and avoid fights at any cost, as ships fight each other and the first ship seemed to be the best one to have. I also could not find a way to repair either the thrusters or guns, so any damage they took was permanent. It would be more interesting if there was a way to repair those parts, even if the ship was still moving in real time. Great work!
Amazing artwork and a pretty fun concept. I think a key would have been better as the fire button; because it was the mouse I initially assumed I would be able to aim guns to some degree independently of the ship's heading. The chaotic feeling of the game disappeared when entering walkabout mode since the exterior game seemed to be paused - could be interesting to have it continue on at a somewhat slower rate.
Damn, chrome is so sure this is a virus, it will delete the file... I managed download it with firefox, but now windows will delete the file when I try to open it.
Maybe there has been recent changes to virus protection, because it seems others have been able to download this.
I somehow missed this game back then but it looks very interesting! Too bad I couldn't try it now :slight_frown:
As one of the biggest entertainment venues in New Zealand, and a significant employer in New Zealand, https://onlineslotsx.com/ we need to take measures to help keep Kiwis safe,” said Ahearne.
“While we have existing safety controls in place to mitigate the risk of exposure to Covid-19, public health information and research confirm that Covid-19 vaccines will provide the best protection for our staff and customers.
Windows has apparently fixed their false positives, because now I could download and play this. So a late review ensues:
I find this kind of games very appealing that there's small scale where you work/build inside a structure and then a larger scale where you move/use the whole structure. It drives in the feeling of the game world being immensely large :)
Also I liked the mechanics that you could hijack ships and break/fix parts of the ships and that fight was taken in both levels. This quick game showed very much promise and I hope you make similar stuff in the future!
I was following you since I first saw this game - even if I couldn't play it - because I wanted see what you'll create next.
