LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Labyrinth by Brendev 2021-04-27T02:25:31Z

The concept of this game was super unique! No other game Ive seen in the jam has done anything like this. But, The audio has to be the one thing in the game that offput me. It felt like all of it was competing over each other, and ended up sounding like a mash of sounds. Otherwise, great game!

Doug: A Miner Drilling Incident by aaants 2021-04-26T14:21:13Z

I really loved this game, its super polished, and gave me the vibes of some old coolmath game.

Endoparasitic by miziziziz 2021-04-26T19:00:27Z

I really loved the game, but movement felt wayyy to snappy

For Whom The Diving Bell Tolls by Jakob Willforss 2021-04-26T02:12:24Z

a very cool art style, but I encountered a good amount of issues, for instance the harpoon I didn't feel like I needed to actually fire, once I discovered you can just melee and kill things with no cooldown. Also I would of loved the harpoon to have maybe some reel in animation or something, instead of just teleporting back.

Saving Greg by LJFMX 2021-04-26T04:27:15Z

A fun game that had me smiling all the way through

AQUATIC CAVE ASSAULT by Danial 2021-04-27T02:18:51Z

The game is very well made, however, I wish that the controls were slightly more clear, I did not realize you could boost until my second attempt because of that, a quick and simple way of solving this is just putting the controls on the main menu. I also think that W and S should have been reversed in classic plane controls style

Through The Crust by sweer 2021-04-26T01:51:39Z

@liammasters the reverse controls were actually the original controls... yeah I messed that up.

Through The Crust by sweer 2021-04-26T13:16:47Z

@fdk I mean, it does speed you up as you keep on going

Through The Crust by sweer 2021-04-27T17:01:03Z

@jafcraze Hmm, I put in reverse turning because I thought it would help more people, I guess I didn't realize boost/slow down reverse would also be useful

Dwarven Delver by cavedens 2021-04-26T01:41:15Z

The game felt sort of easy, the only hard part - for me at least, was finding out what the objective was, but once I figured that out, most of the gameplay was around finding the straightest path to the bottom.

However I feel like all of the assets were super well done, the music blended well with the sound design and the character felt like it looked good without being super distracting

I am a DRILL and I'm DRILLING a hole by kadams 2021-04-26T16:19:52Z

the tank enemies felt a little bit unfair, sometimes they would just shoot me through the wall, and other times they spawned right next to my pod. But otherwise its a cool game.

Subterrene by SamarthMP5002 2021-04-26T14:15:56Z

The hitboxes felt really big, and I only found my self dying when I was attempting to get a diamond and the bombs hitbox got to me. If you were to update this post-jam I would love to see more bombs, and maybe more forced move speed, so the bombs posed a real challenge other then the funky hitboxes.

Divide to go Deeper by JafCraze 2021-04-26T04:34:24Z

One of the cooler puzzle jam games Ive played! however it is sort of short lived, and I would love to see maybe some more physics implementations, balls keeping their speed just doesn't sit right me, but all in all, great game.

Sleep Walls by drom1x 2021-04-26T01:57:57Z

I would appreciate if there was a better tutorial, I was never able to figure out what exactly I was doing other then clicking space on the numbers and hoping for the best.

Lord Of The Flies by PixelPortalz 2021-04-26T01:49:22Z

I really love this game, it is honestly amazing, however I felt like it was 'meta' to take more fruitful eggs over everything else. And the flys do feel a bit funky to control

Outvoyage by jamr 2021-04-26T02:18:17Z

I did not like turning in this game, it felt uninintuitive, and I felt like I didn't control much, Once I got to around 50k speed, I felt like even if I started dodging an asteroid once it was spawned, it was entirely up to luck if I would survive or not.

Deepest Mine by SmelJey 2021-04-26T13:46:45Z

It took me a while to get going, because there was no feedback on how to mine, and a lot of the time simply clicking on the ores did not work, but overall, its a great game for 48 hours, maybe next time lower the scope of your project

Dig Deep by GiantWaffle 2021-04-26T04:14:20Z

Great game! however I feel the starting upgrades are a bit to expensive, especially when your just learning how to properly manage your drill

Last Star Legionnaire by Pirate-Rob 2021-04-26T02:37:38Z

wooow, how did you even pull this game off? this looks like over 2 weeks of work jesus

Blue Square and the Mystery Cave by asdehielo 2021-04-27T13:35:27Z

I liked this game! All of the puzzles were unique, and the dark puzzle at the end took me a bit to realize circles can light up! The only feedback I really have is for the shoot sound to be not as high pitched, it did get in my ear alot.

Caves of the Forgotten by CorbenG 2021-04-26T04:21:15Z

The art was super nice, but none of the puzzles I felt like were extremely challenging, I always knew how to get to the end, but all in all, great game
